We loved the firefly trip because we've never seen so many of them in one place before. They seemed so beautiful and mysterious, accompanied by the heavenly sounds and smells of the forest at night.
We highly recommend this tour for any age of guest. The tour leader was brilliant and we understood everything although we do not really fully understand Japanese. We were also able to book quickly on the day of the tour, online, and this was really convenient.

My friend and I had a great time at the Okinawa Kenpo Karate Dojo. As beginners with little to no experience in karate, we found the sensei who facilitated the class to be very patient while teaching us the fundamentals of the art.

We booked the appointment a few weeks in advance through the Veltra website and were able to pay the fee ahead of time. You can rent a “gi” on site for 1,000 JPY in cash per set.

The location was also easy to find. We used Google Maps to locate the dojo, and it took us straight to the exact spot in Nago. If you go as a group, you should definitely carpool because the parking lot for the dojo is limited.

Make sure to be present & have fun. After our session they took pictures of us with different weapons and poses.

Overall, It was a beginner-friendly experience that we would recommend to people of all ages, regardless of their familiarity with karate. We were honored to be taught by Sensei Matsuda Tatsunori and to experience the beauty of traditional Okinawan karate.

Our driver patiently waited for us at the port because our disembarkation from the cruise ship took longer than expected. They also called us to double check due to the delay. Highly recommend this service when visiting Miyakojima!

The crew was friendly, professional, knowledgable and attentive. We went to several spots out past the harbor and were able to catch a decent amount of fish. We were even given a recommendation for where to cook our catch after.

so great! we had family on island for the holidays and thought it would be really special to make chopsticks from Shikwasa wood. & you get to personalize it at the end too! The teachers are lovely, kind and patient. It shows they truly connect with the art of forming your own chopstick. even with the language barrier it was clear and simply to do (though not exactly easy!) Highly recommended!

I had a once in a life time experience interacting with dolphins at Motobu Genki Village! While a lot of people will head for Churaumi aquarium to watch whales and fish in big tanks, I opted for a closer encounter with these wonderful sea creatures. It is worth noting that the dolphins at Genki Village live in the actual sea, albeit in designated sections. Swimming with dolphins has been a childhood dream of mine, and I still can’t believe that it actually came true. Not only that, but I was in such luck that I was the only person in my booked time slot - meaning the very nice and skilled trainer directed all her attention to me. And I got to swim with the dolphin in question, Money - four whole times. Twice hanging onto her top fin and twice over her belly when she swam upside down. The trainer and Money put on quite the show, with funny tricks and mirroring theatrics which I also was a participant in. I had to the best time, and I have videos from the event of me laughing excitedly like a little kid. Besides the main activity itself, I got to loan a wet suit (winter time), crocs and a towel, and the changing room had lockers and the showers schampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The only thing I had to bring myself was a bathing suit - it could not have been smoother! I am so so happy to have experienced this! If you are in doubt, don’t be - just do it - you won’t regret it!

The Mangrove Kayak Tour was a fun and enjoyable activity, set in a beautiful mangrove environment. The duration was just right—not too long or tiring. Unfortunately, the Blue Cave part was changed to a beach snorkeling spot due to weather conditions, but that area turned out to have a rich marine ecosystem. We were lucky to see two sea turtles and beautiful fish —it was an amazing experience overall. Our tour guide, sorry I forgot her name. is incredibly warm, friendly, attentive, and full of energy.

Phanton Island really lives up to its name — it’s so unreal in its beauty. Snorkeling was fun, though the area we went to that day was just okay — we mainly saw corals, with not many fish or sea turtles around. Still, it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience overall.

From the organised pick up to the embarkation process and quality of boat - these guys nailed it!Take your picnic and enjoy - the instructions are in all languages and the crew are very accommodating - you can play with the tots for a very very reasonable extra fee and the crew make it a lot of fun - honestly half day tour to paradise and back is just long enough and a great experience - would absolutely recommend !!!!

What a great diving experience! Not only was the water crystal clear but also lots of vibrant corals with lots of color. The ocean never ceases to amaze with its colorful fish.

Our stars mainly go to our guides though! Great people with endless conversation and great social skills. Extremely nice and very adaptable depending on who they dive with. They take care of every diver no matter the skill!

The boat will take you near a sand bar in the Karama Islands area. Once the anchor is set each group gets a ride on the banana boat pulled by a jet ski for no more than 10 minutes. Short but exhilarating ride, better hold on and get ready to get sea water spray.

Once you're back on the boat, select your snorkel mask either single piece or dual. I prefer dual for easier defogging and fit. Climb to the back of the boat and drop in to the water. There was a strong current when we went so unless you want a workout, hold on to a long rope attached to multiple floating buoys.

Snorkeling was restricted to an area within two ropes due to the current. There was no long distance snorkeling and diving down under the surface not allowed due to mandatory life vests. Pretty much just float and hope you see something interesting which did happen when a shark swam by.

A photographer was available to take some underwater pics that were shared upon email request at no extra cost.

Seating is at the top deck where you'll get plenty of sun. The comfy shady spots are to the right and left of the captain. There is a toilet available in the bottom deck but only allowed if you're dry so bring a towel.

Overall a fun, quick adventure, mostly for newbies.

Jo was our very professional and sweet guide. With Koh who accompanied us to ensure we were ok all the way. Easy kayak trip with nice cave snorkeling. They took pictures all the way of many memorable moments. Thank you Aruguide for this experience

We came as a group of three and had an absolutely amazing experience with Daan, our tour guide. He was extremely friendly and knew a lot about the local sea life. All the staff at Aruguide were also extremely welcoming and kind. We took the kayaks out to the spot where you can snorkel and also see the cave. The cave itself was fairly crowded but the area around it was incredibly beautiful and so many living things everywhere you look. Colorful fish and beautiful clear water. I couldn't recommend this experience more. 10/10

Our blue cave snorkeling event was cancelled due to weather but they offered to take us to a shallow area near their shop where we saw tons of fish. The current was strong but the heavy duty life vest kept us afloat and our guide was right there with us, taking pictures, and also had a boogie board we could grab onto if we needed a rest. If we had more time, I would have rebooked the blue cave once the weather calmed down. Our guide was kind and helpful and the equipment was clean and in good condition. My son and I had a great time.

WOW!!! it was an unforgettable night at the fireworks festival! The crowd was buzzing with excitement and the atmosphere was electric! Can't wait to be back next year!

Well-managed and planned. We had no trouble securing a carpark spot and staff were extremely helpful, guiding everyone to the shuttle bus area. Will be back next year!

This is such a great experience! I love how the fireworks and music synchronize. It's so fun to watch and I highly recommend watching this with family and also with friends. Definitely worth it.
