It seemed that infection control measures were well implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since it was my first time boarding, I didn't know what to expect and asked the crew various questions, but they kindly and patiently taught me, for which I am very grateful. As for the food... it was just okay for the price. There was someone celebrating their birthday on this cruise, and we surprised them by singing Happy Birthday together on board. Participating in a cruise on your birthday can create wonderful memories. Also, the ship didn't sway much, so I think taking motion sickness medication would help with seasickness.

コロナ禍に於いて感染対策はしっかりと出来ているように思えました。初めての乗船でしたので、勝手が解らずクルーの方に色々尋ねましたが親切丁寧に教えて頂きとても感謝いたします。料理の方は…お値段の割にはまあまあかなぁ～って感じです。今回のクルーズで誕生日の方が居て、サプライズで船内みんなでハッピーバースデーを歌いお祝いをしました。誕生日の日にクルーズ参加はとても良い思い出になると思います。あと、船の揺れはさほどないので酔い止めの薬を飲めば船酔いも大丈夫かなって思います。

We toured from the hotel in Onna Village to Kouri Island → Nakijin Castle Ruins → Bise Fukugi Tree Lane → Churaumi Aquarium (a 7-hour course). I was unsure about touring the northern area by rental car since I'm not good at driving, but I found a bus tour to the area I wanted to visit and decided to sign up. It turned out to be a great decision as it was very comfortable.

We were able to visit various places, and the admission fee to the Churaumi Aquarium was included in the price, making it a great deal. I enjoyed the scenery much more than I would have while nervously driving a rental car. The guide and the driver were both kind, and I'm glad I signed up!

In the northern part of Yanbaru, I participated in my first solo bus tour. On the day of the tour, it was cloudy with occasional rain, and I was a bit anxious, but the cheerful greeting from the tour guide immediately put me at ease. The information I heard through the earphones was also educational. Thanks to the guide's flexible responses, I was able to visit the mangrove walkway, see the stunning view of Route 58 and Daishi Forest, enjoy lunch (which was a heavy downpour at that moment), visit Cape Hedo (a breathtaking view), and at Daishi Forest, I could admire the strange rocks, forest, and sea, managing to complete all the courses even though I wasn't very confident on my feet.

I was able to see the Yanbaru Kuina, and I realized that it was great to efficiently explore and learn through this tour rather than going without any knowledge. By the way, I had a great time chatting at the local sweets shop at the roadside station we stopped at (the tart and cream puffs were the best).

Next time, I want to stay in the northern area and take my time to revisit the places on my own. I must mention the tour guide, YK! Even though she must have been more tired than I was after two consecutive tours, she kept the atmosphere bright and lively throughout. What a professional! Her parting words, "Let's meet again someday!" really touched me.

やんばる北部、初の独りバスツアーで、当日は曇り空ぽつぽつ雨の中不安ながらの参加でしたが、最初の添乗員さんの底抜けに明るいご挨拶に心も解れ、イヤホンで所々聞く案内も勉強になりました。添乗員さんの臨機応変なご対応で、マングローブの遊歩道、ルート58と大石林山のツーショット、お昼ごはん(ここだけ大雨)、辺戸岬(絶景)、そして大石林山では奇岩、森林、海を眺めながら、足に自信がない私でも全てのコースを廻ることができました。
ヤンバルクイナも見られたし、何も知らないで行くより先ずこちらのツアーで効率よく廻って学べたのは良いなと。
そうそう、最後立ち寄った道の駅の地元のスイーツ屋さんでお話も出来て(タルト、シュークリーム最高)楽しかったです。
次回は北部に宿をとり、ゆっくり自分の足で復習に廻りたいと思いました。
特筆は、添乗員さんのYKさん！2連続の添乗で私よりも疲れていらっしゃるでしょうに、通して明るく元気に盛り上げてくださり、なんてprofessional！最後降車時の『またいつか会いましょうね～！』の一言は染みました。

I participated with my elderly mother, aunt, and husband. Originally, we had planned for five people, but one person had to cancel due to health issues, and I appreciate the courteous handling of that situation.

Additionally, since part of the meal was buffet-style, I was helped by the staff while I was serving myself, which was a great assistance. It was also a birthday celebration, and we received photos taken during the event, along with a surprise tropical fruit juice, creating wonderful memories with my family.
