Good tour with very sweet, knowledgeable, friendly guide but some outdated/misleading information on the website regarding what you see/partake in

My mom and I were at the meeting location 10 min before check in time (as stated to do so on the itinerary) and the bus/your guide didn’t arrive until about 15min past our check in time which caused us to stress thinking we were in the wrong spot and potentially missed the tour. When the tour guide did show up she didn’t really say anything just promptly motioned for us to follow her to the bus. Our tour guide was very sweet and knowledgeable. She was very clear with directions and meet up times. Some things I found misleading (besides the pick up time) were regarding the Imperial Palace and the “lunch buffet”. When we visited the Imperial Grounds, we didn’t get to see anything other than a very small garden a few steps into the grounds. I know not all areas are accessible to the public or all year round but we saw more of the Palace by briefly driving by in the bus which was unfortunate. Secondly, the lunch we were provided was not a buffet. We all chose between grilled salmon, grilled chicken or a vegetarian dish with two pieces of steamed carrot/broccoli/potato a small cup of vegetable soup and two small (dry/hard) buns :( when I asked the guide if we were able to get the buffet lunch as I referred her to the online day plan she said, “oh that information is very old”. The view from the restaurant was amazing and enough to make up for it but it was a little disappointing when I was expecting to have access to more of a variety. Overall, it was a good way to see some amazing/beautiful parts of Tokyo with added guidance and transportation but I suggest the website be updated to avoid further frustration from customers expecting what they signed up for.

Good insight to Tokyo

Our first visit to Tokyo and the tour gave us a brief overview of the city. Fortunately we were a small group on the day and this allowed us more contact with the guide. The guide appeared to have good knowledge of Tokyo and the places of interest we visited. Although his English was not great we were able to follow the thread of his presentation. The lunch was good with a great view of the harbour below and the boat trip around the harbour after lunch was also very enjoyable. We felt it was good value for money.

We totally enjoyed the tour, we did 3 different tours during our visit to Japan and this one was the best.

Our guide (Sato) was an excellent source of information and he made the time on the bus between sites interesting.

We especially liked our guide!
We would have preferred Japanese food for lunch though.

Although we saw so much, it would be good to be able to spend a little more time at stops instead of just 40mins or so. Also, to offer drop off at hotels would be a added bonus. Our tour guide should be congratulated (My) on her excellant customer service skills and local knowledge. thank you
