Great way to see Tokyo
Reviewed by: Peter, 2020/03/18This was a great way to see Tokyo. My wife and I firstly went on the red route which took us to the north of the city. That tour lasted well over an hour and showed several of the districts as well as major visitor attractions like the Skytree Tower.
We then had a quick lunch before going on the blue route. This took us to the south . Slightly shorter than the red route the blue route also showed you much of the city. The highlight for me was going over the Rainbow Bridge and getting a great view of Tokyo harbour.
The commentary on the bus was informative and easy to understand. The staff were all incredibly polite and helpful. I would heartily recommend this bus tour.

Sky Bus...the tour that cannot be left out in tokyo
Reviewed by: RODOLFO & ANA , 2020/02/23My wife and I did the 24 hour tour... and this is a "must" in visiting Tokyo, specially if visit in the city is short.
It will give you an overall view of the city and then choose the places you should like to spend more time. The tour gives you the opportunity to hop off and hop in in different stations.
We did the Red tour first and finished this and immediately hopped in to the Blue tour. The Red gives you the chance to see the popular and the contrast with the glamour sites of the city. Blue takes you to the Minato, Ginza and the Financial district...it is amazing!!! At 6pm we did again theBlue tour to see the glamour of the city and the Tokyo Bay at night.
Sky Bus is an amazing experience specially for first visitors to Tokyo!!
Don´t miss it !!!!!

The best option to visit Tokyo!!

Explications are very complete and fine although sometimes are not at the accurate time, but overall it was an amazing experience and the attending people was lovely so I recommend to everyone wants to visit Tokyo in a touristic bus! ;-)

Awesome Experience

We had the top view of the Tokyo with the cold weather. It was awesome. Not to mention it was very easy to book thru VELTRA. We booked the day before only but they still had available seats. Awesome!

Great way to get around Tokyo and very comfortable buses and friendly host conductors!

The routes covered all the key parts of Tokyo which I wanted to visit. The commentary could be further improved. On the whole I enjoyed the trip!

Day adventure in Tokyo

Skyhop has everything provided for. from the blankets with this cold winter days. Heat pads and the earphones. They have though of everything. It be nice with the translation they should add also Spanish, Italian and some other European languages.
My family and I had a fabulous time and really enjoyed the scenery. Couldn't ask for more.

The bus never came to the stop on time and we had to pay for cab rides which were very expensive.
Reviewed by: Pang, 2018/08/15they would not allow you to sit on the bottom level although it was extremely hot and started to sprinkle. Bring an umbrella for shade and rain.
The bus never came during the allotted time.
The bus did not make a stop like it was supposed to. The lady would not allow us to get off when there is clearly a stop on the map they give.
I spent a lot of $ on cab rides because they never came by the stop. We were 20+ minutes early.

(There are times running throughout the day). No issue getting our information and the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. They even helped us find out information regarding other landmarks in the city and typical tourist questions like where to eat, shop, and metro stations near landmarks. Highly recommend it and would do it again!

Worked Out Great!

When I say "last minute" I mean at breakfast around 0800 we decided to do the hop on hop off bus tour at 1030. From the time I booked it on my phone and when we checked in, the Representative already had our information printed out and confirmed our activity. Check in was smooth. The bus ride tour was perfect for us. We were able to hop off and visit a few popular locations. All in all, it was a great experience. I will use Veltra, again. Thank you.

Just make sure you sit all the way at the front because the wind on the high way is no joke. There are multiple buses so if you want to see more stuff you can easily switch. The price is about the same if you were to take the underground metro, but you get a guided tour instead on the bus! Thanks for a great experience!!

Best way to see Big city like Tokyo
Reviewed by: Venkatesh, 2018/01/04I must say this was one of the best way to see complex city like Tokyo. It was far beyond my expectations. The route covered was awesome, buses were excellent. This saves lot of time that one would spend otherwise understanding Tokyo subways, finding way to the station and out of station (this is huge concern if you have kids). The flexibility to get down on designated spot and hopping on was great. Only suggestion I would give is like in case of Roppongi Odaiba course, the gap between hop on and hop off is too large (almost 3 .5 hours). If they can shorten this, it will provide more flexibility to hop off at more places. Thanks for the good times.

You'll get to every destination without having to worry about the travel time.The audio guide is useful as well since it is in sync every time we approach a certain stop. For a tourist with limited time to explore, this activity is very much recommended!
To be candid, I feel the limited time per location 2-3mins tops (if I remember it right) is too short to fully appreciate the experience. But the good thing about this, you'll be able to visit and take pictures at these iconic places.

Great Service

They provided plastic rain jackets which were great and we just stayed in the bus the entire trip around the city. Because the tickets are 24 hours, we were able to hop back on the next morning and actually see some sites OFF the bus. I forgot to print out my online ticket, but the ladies were able to work with the screenshot I showed on my phone. overall great experience.

Reviewed by: Geinah, 2017/05/17It was the first ever tour I went on... ever! It's a great way to see the city especially for me, a first time traveler. We took the Odaiba Course and we passed through the Rainbow Bridge.
We also took photos of the Tokyo Tower while it was illuminated by 276 (as per the audio guide! Ha!). We were very fortunate that the stop light turned red at a good spot and for an enough amount of time to take nice IG photos from the open-top bus.
The Audio Guide was very helpful and the perky guide was very nice! I would totally recommend taking this tour. I will definitely do it again when I get the chance!

Brisk tour of Tokyo!

Good value for money as one can visit Tokyo in a day
Reviewed by: Lydia Teo, 2017/03/28After reading many reviews some positive and negative, we decided to try this Hop on Hop off bus ride. We (group of 10) started late due to our distance from Tokyo Station. As we got off the station we asked around to finally get to Mitsubishi building which one cannot miss its signage. It was freezing cold that day on 25th and we did our first ride through the first to last stop on the blue line. It was interesting as we listened to the introductions of the places we passed by through the ear recorder in the language we preferred. Personally, I felt I gained more knowledge as the voice introduced the places we passed through in the comfort of the open decker bus. We then took the purple line to Ginza /Tsukiji. By the time we reached Tsukiji, some shops started closing at 1.30pm. It is best to go early in the morning . We were left with not much time to visit Asakuse instead we took the last bus to go round to view the Tokyo Rainbow bridge in the night. It was a different sight when viewed in the night with all the llightings. I am very sure when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom next week, it is a good idea to take this hop-on hop-off bus as we passed the cherry trees which was budding then.
We are going to recommend our friends who will be visiting Tokyo to try out this bus as it is money well spent to enjoy the whole of Tokyo in a day.

Great start
Reviewed by: Richard. , 2017/01/06This was our first time visiting Japan and this was a good way to start our vacation We boarded the sky bus at 3pm and found places we wanted to go back and explore the following day. The audio recording was helpful in giving suggestions of what is available to explore at each stop. The stop was easy to find when wanting to hop back on the bus.
We enjoyed the sky bus tour and the tickets worth worth the price. The entire family found it worth the price, even the teenagers. The tour was fun for the entire family. :) We will return to Japan to do more exploring.

Great way to get a feel for the city
Reviewed by: Bella, 2017/01/05This is a great way to get an overview of Tokyo and have the ability to get off and explore. We did two of the three lines and felt we had a better layout of Tokyo.
My teenagers even enjoyed it after hours of teasing me prior to arriving for our first ride. The hop on/hop off ability was very nice and the recommendations of why to get off and explore from the audio were helpful. . The stops were easy to find when you wanted to get onto the bus.
It is worth the price and we will ride the sky bus again when we are back in Tokyo. Thanks sky bus for showing us around Tokyo and areas to explore.

Hop on hop off of Tokyo city
Reviewed by: Dorothy, 2016/11/13Bus drivers very helpful, staff generally very kind and helpful. The two routes we took encompassed quite a great deal of the city. We preferred the route that took in the Rainbow bridge. We had a job finding the office to collect our ticket after getting our online voucher, but a kindly bus driver took us to the office and dropped us off. Once there we were able to get our tickets and were off. The bus is hop on hop off but limited in time, so we were only able to do the two routes in one day as there was a gap over lunch time, which is why we found a little restaurant near the office to while away the time until the afternoon bus. They are not as frequent as we have found in other cities, but on the whole worthwhile for the money.
