Tokyo Private 1-Day Tour from Yokohama Port or Hotel with Customizable Itinerary
Wonderful day with Ken Takahashi in Tokyo

On the day after Tokyo's massive typhoon and large earthquake, Ken Takahashi met us at the Yokohama port to provide the day tour in Tokyo we had reserved, originally planned the day earlier. Ken took us to all the places we wanted to see, with a few of them off the regular tourist path, with Tuck, our driver. We were so pleased to see the usual places tourists want to see, as well as take us to a bamboo forest. My wife also wanted to find an artisanal fan, and Ken found an excellent shop with wide choices with a 5th generation owner, and he helped her purchase one with a stand. Ken also took us to a tea ceremony, and then a tempura lunch, the best tempura we've ever eaten. He has an excellent knowledge of history and of the city, and with his experience, and our interests, he curated an active and meaningful 8-hour day. After the day, he created an edited video of our day (taken with his Go-Pro camera) and promptly sent it to us along with a journal of the day. One of the things we found most thoughtful was the coordination of Tuck's dropping us off close to the places we wanted to see, and then magically Tuck picked us up at a very close location, to maximize our valuable time that day. Wonderful day with Ken, and proactive communication with Veltra (Taiji) when we all realized that the typhoon was going to hit Tokyo on exactly the day we had planned our tour. We were so grateful that our tour could be pushed back one day.

This was the second transfer provided to us by a Veltra provider and it was outstanding. They were at the cruise terminal when we got off and transported the six of us - one wheelchair - very efficiently. The personnel were very professional, timely and friendly. We would definitely use them again. We did take the train to the airport since our hotel was right near the major station that gave us a direct route.

Excellent. Tai-Shi was very courteous and nice. We requested an English speaking driver and his English was very good. He took us to all the sights we requested and even gave us some history and advice.

You never know what to expect when you are traveling in a foreign country and have contracted with a company for transportation, but with Veltra you do not need to worry. Their representatives were located as soon as we cleared our luggage through customs in Yokohama and directed us to a check in area where our destination was verified. Let me say that on a shared shuttle you are not quite sure how long they will take but it seemed like it was less than five minutes that we along with three other couples were lead to our van for transportation to Tokyo. we cleared the cruise terminal and headed to Tokyo which at 8:30 in the morning is about a hour and a half drive. After one couple was dropped at their hotel we were taken to our hotel and the driver and hotel personnel unloaded our luggage and it was done. After the driver thanked us for our patronage we were done. We definitely will contract with them again.

Tour of Tokyo with Tom was one of the highlights of our Japan trip

We had a fabulous tour of Tokyo with Tom as our guide! He was so kind, informative, and interesting. He picked us up at the cruise port right on time and showed us as many highlights of Tokyo as we had time for, and we loved them all. We saw a really nice variety of Buddhist temple, Shinto shrine, Imperial palace as well as more modern shopping and government districts. We had a great driver too who dropped us off close to whereever we were going. Tom was flexible about our needs. We requested one of the department store food halls for lunch, and he took us to a great one and found a nice rooftop area for us to eat at. It was so fun to have Tom guide us through the hall and explain the food to us. After the trip, Tom sent us all pictures and a journal of the day—so thoughtful! We loved Tokyo and Tom and can’t wait to return and schedule more tours with him!

Take the Green Tomato from your hotel to Yokohama Port. They service all Diamond Princess cruises. An on time and direct service to Yokohama. Just wished they had a service from the port to Narita Airport!

The transport arrived before the due time and the driver made herself known to the Group. She was well presented and very articulate in ensuring the group were ready to embark. Water was given to each individual upon entering the vehicle, and candies were also offered.The Driver spoke good English, and during the trip pointed out the various landmarks, and the local history. The journey was enjoyable as any questions raised were quickly answered, and the trip included diversions so that we could enjoy the various landmarks.
The vehicle was modern, very clean, roomy and fully air-conditioned.

Our luggage was loaded up and we were on route with a number of passengers right on time. We were delivered to our hotel as we expected. While on the cruise there was a situation which caused the ship's arrival to port to be delayed. Worried that our transportation wouldn't wait for us, we reached out to Veltra for assistance. Veltra was extremely helpful in ensuring we would still have our transportation. They communicated efficiently each time and eased our worries.
The vehicle was very clean and easily accommodated all of our luggage.

Forget about struggling with heavy suitcases whilst negotiating swarming train station crowds. Avoid the high costs of a taxi transfer. The Green Tomato door-to-door shared ride service saved me from the stress associated with navigating an unfamiliar route with a needy companion and cumbersome luggage. Upon disembarking a cruise ship, I had no difficulty locating the Green Tomato desk within the port building. Soon after, a small number of passengers were transported in comfort from the carpark below the arrival hall to their Tokyo destinations. The train may less expensive but, for ease, comfort and a stress-free transfer, I highly recommend this service.

Always nervous when you use a company for the first time, but Veltra proved to be a great choice. Pick up from our Tokyo hotel to the Yokohama cruise port was efficient, well priced, and we couldn't have been happier. The driver was at our hotel at exactly the right time. They had texted us the day prior to say he would be. The van configuration was more like an SUV limo with plenty of leg room and seating with lots of room to move around. We were at the port in 40 minutes and the driver was pleasant and seemed to be well experienced with driving the route. There were 4 adults and 8 pieces of luggage. Many other cruisers had nightmare experiences trying to work out train schedules and private taxis to take them to the port. This was an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE and we would highly recommend Veltra and will use them again if the opportunity arises.

As you experienced, we always try to meet your request whenever possible. The bamboo forest in Yokohama you visited is not known so well even among local people. We also glad you enjoyed the tea ceremony session as an optional choice where you actually prepared Maccha (the powdered green tea) by yourselves and served it to your partners.
