This was my first time to Oahu and I really enjoyed the tour. The Driver was waiting at the airport for us and was very friendly. He explained the sights to us and guided us thru Pearl Harbor and the Missouri. The only negative thing was that we were not booked on a return flight to Maui until 735pm. The tour was over at 5:00 pm Some people on our bus had flights returning to Maui @ 6:30 pm, so these people had to get to the airport for their flight. The driver dropped the people from the tour bus that had the 7:35pm flights at a restaurant so we could eat while he took the 4 people who had 6;30 pm flights back to the airport. There were 12 people left at Ruby Tuesdays to eat or just sit and wait for the driver to return. I would have preferred to stay longer in Waikiki or have done some more sightseeing instead of just sitting there waitng for the bus driver to return from the airport.

I was with my mother during this vacation. She and I went to Maui as part of a medical convention. Our tour guide was "Ed" and he was just as great as I had previously read about him on this VERY SITE!! Ed is very knowledgeable about all of Hawaii, not just the areas that you will go to. Tour was OK! Pearl Harbor definitely was memorable, although on-site tour guide at USS Missouri was too interested in his own knowledge. USS Arizona Memorial was nice to see, but otherwise disappointing. Our tour guide, Nappy, was very informative and pleasurable. Alot of down time, though! 1 1/2 hours on Waikiki (dressed for touring) was a bit disconcerting. 1 1/2 hours wandering around several food establishments, waiting to go back to the airport, was a waste. Overall, very costly for what we got! Inter-island airline prices are cheaper individually, and, I'm sure that a self-guided tour could be arranged easily.

Our trip was ruined by rain but not only did this Company give us all they could under the cirmumstances, they refunded the entire purchase price. We didn't get to do alot but we still flew to Oahu and toured the city of honolulu. The Staff was exceptional and we are going to go through this Company for all of our tours next year. This Horseback Ride was absolutely a BEAUTIFUL Adventure,. Everyone at the RANCH, especially, FRENCHY, our Tour guide was friendly, fun and informative on the ride about ALL the Beauty of the Island & Mendes Ranch History. They were giving of their time to the ones that were a little less experienced in riding & took pictures of everyone in differnet areas of the ride to make sure we ALL caputured great memories on film. We had the opportunity to gallop if we chose throughout the ride as well. The Horses are well cared for & are Beautiful. We had "Bailey" & "Cowboy" and Frenchy had Beautiful "Shotgun". I would definetly go back next trip to MAUI.

We had a nice ride and the horses were matched up with our weight, age, and skill level as stated. This was my third time riding in 20 years and I went as a beginner and did well. We had 2 tour guides and my regret is that I wished I'd given more beside $10 for a tip since they were watching my back so to speak :)

Things we especially liked about this tour: being picked up at our hotel promptly at 7am, as advertised; the view from the top of Haleakala; the opportunity to see rare plants and birds on the mountain, such as silversword plants in bloom, and the unique Hawaiian Geese (Nene); our guide's amazing knowledge of the places we saw and their history; the wonderful lunch at Casanova's in Makawao; the beautiful scenery around the park at the Io Needle.

Haleakala Crater was just amazing! You don't feel like you are in a tropical paradise because it gets cold up there! It is very spiritual and peaceful there, and we can't believe ancient Hawaiians used to climb on foot. Next time, I'd love to hike the crater.

My Mom and I had never been on horses before this trip. Our guide Rocky was fantastic. He was very informative about the land, the island and wonderful little details about everything. I would go back to Mendez again and again. All the guides took their time to make sure the horses were matched up perfectly with the riders. Our tour guide made our day at Pearl Harbor and everywhere we went. His name is ED not Mr. ED. He had so much first hand knowledge and was just so well read and history educated. He was amazing and what a memory. We could have not asked for more of a history buff.
I do have suggestions for one area that left the trip a little flat at the end. I would have liked to have spent more time at Pearl Harbor(like to do the museum) and less time stopped in downtown Honolulu. I loved the bus trip around the city with all the mastery of Ed talking to us but we just stopped to long in town. Then my one thing that left me flat. We got to the airport just in time to hear a flight called for our destination (reminding everyone that we had been us since 4:00 am) and this was NOT our flight. We had to wait another 2-1/2 hours and our flight was not on time. It was not a good end to a perfect day. I would suggest that the trip to Honolulu be cut short so that the flight could be made more

I flew directly into Maui but wanted to see Pearl Harbor. This tour was the perfect opportunity! They arranged the flight to O'ahu and a nice, small bus with large windows to transport the group through the day and deliver us back to the airport on time. Our guide was excellent and entertaining! Be prepared for a long, full day but return with a complete experience of Pearl Harbor and a narrated bus ride through many sight of Honolulu. Lunch on Wikiki was a riot! The tour was interesting and well organized but allowed me the opportunity for some individual exploration and relaxation.
