It was a great ride! If you want to sit on top of the ferry and get a good view, be sure to get there early. We saw lots of whales on our way back from Lanai! Take a Dramamine if you get a little motion sickness and you won’t have any issues. The ferry was spacious and super easy to book online. We will definitely be going back to lanai using this service!

I was on a vacation to Maui with friends and we did a day trip to Lanai using this ferry service. The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable during the ride. It was whale season, so we saw many whales during the crossing. The crew was amazing and really entertaining. They kept everyone fed and laughing the whole time. I would highly recommend this one day trip to Lana’i over any other snorkel trip elsewhere. We had a wonderful time touring some popular sites on Lanai (Shipwreck Beach, Garden of Gods, Cat sanctuary). Many of the sites were off unpaved roads, so have a driving guide really saved a lot of work and planning. The tour group with Russ, Ray and Cory was very accommodating, making extra arrangements to make sure no one is left stranded, even when unplanned events arise. The hardest part was figuring out where to pick up the tickets that morning. For us it was a booth across the street from the Pioneer Inn, near a small lighthouse.

The initial booking was a challenge. I had tried several times, and three different days to book on the website. With each attempt I received a notice stating there was no availability. I did receive a call from the main office apologizing for the trouble, and I was able to book my preferred day/time. If you find you have the same issue, perhaps calling in might be a good idea, to check.
Our day was a bit of a whirl wind, as our guide, Jacob told us it would be. I didn’t pay for a 24 hour parking pass in Lahaina so, we had to make the first boat back. Jacob got us to the boat on time with no issue. As with all Hawaiian Islands, Lanai is special and has a unique story. We’d never been to this Island before, and visiting it was one of the main reasons I chose Maui as our vacation destination.
I would most definitely recommend taking this day tour. Enjoy the sights by folks who live, work, and can most appreciate this island.

The crew on the Trilogy IV were unbelievably accommodating and welcome. The service on the ship and on the beach was unparalleled. Every part of the trip was an absolute blast from the snorkeling, the beach, and a last minute swim party to top off the ride. The Captain truely knows how to host a party; just when you thought the service couldn’t get any better, he would come by and clean your sunglasses.
If you’re debating between a trip to Molokini Crater or this trip to Lana’i, trust me; these guys put every other excursion to shame.
