鴨川おどりのパフォーマンスは素晴らしいです。芸者の演技を見るのは信じられないほど素晴らしく、本当に一生に一度の体験です。茶道と写真撮影もとても良かったです。

私のチケットは前の方の席だったので、ずっと素晴らしい席で楽しむことができました。すべて日本語ですが（その本物感が好きです）、英語の短い要約があるプログラムがありました。

パフォーマンス自体はとてもよくできていて、シンプルですが美しいセットデザインと象徴的な芸者の衣装が印象的でした。

絶対に1) 京都に旅行し、2) 鴨川おどりに行くべきです（5月に来てください！）。

The Kamogawa Odori performance is fantastic. It's incredible to see Geisha's perform - truly a once in a lifetime experience. The tea ceremony and photo-op were also very nice.

My ticket was in the first couple of rows, so I had a great seat the whole time. Everything is in Japanese (which I prefer due to its authenticity) but they had a program that had a short synopsis in English.

The performance itself was very well done with simple but beautiful set design and the iconic Geisha dress.

You absolutely need to 1) Travel to Kyoto and 2) Go to Kamogawa Odori (come in May!)

着物の種類は豊富で、着物には満足しました。しかし、ヘアスタイリングは急いでいて、スタイルの選択肢がありませんでした。場所はオープンエリアにあり、更衣室や座るスペースもありませんでした。多くの人が着替えていて、かなり混乱しているように見えました。私たちはもう1時間の延長を希望しましたが、バウチャーには「大人のための時間延長は1,000円」と明記されていました。しかし、2,000円/時間と請求され、驚きました。支払った金額に対して、全体的なサービスの質や追加料金の誤解には満足できませんでした。

There was a wide range of kinomos and I was satisfied with the kimono. The hair styling was rushed and there was no choice of styles. The location was in an open area and there was no change room or sitting space. The place was busy with several people getting dressed and seemed quite disorganized. We wanted to do the extension for another 1 hour and it was clearly stated on the voucher that "Hourly extensions are available for JPY 1,000 for adults." However, they charged JYP 2,000/hour which was a surprise. For the price that I paid, I was not satisfied with the overall service quality and the miscommunication of the additional fees.

素晴らしい体験でした。会場はとても見つけやすかったです。温かく迎え入れられ、席に案内されました。冷たいお茶はとてもさっぱりしていました。芸者のパフォーマンスは非常に素晴らしく、ライブ音楽も大好きでした。ゲームは本当に楽しく、芸者は皆をリラックスさせてくれました。到着時に靴を脱ぐ必要があるので、靴下を履くか持参することを忘れないでください。

This was a wonderful experience. The venue was very easy to find. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our seats. The cold tea was very refreshing. The geisha performance was very well executed and I loved the live music. The games were really fun and the geisha made everyone feel at ease. Make sure you wear or bring socks since you will have to remove your shoes when you arrive.

VELTRAについては不安がありましたが、すべてが完璧でした！メールの確認がすぐに届き、クーポンの印刷物を見せてチケットと交換するのも簡単でした。場所の指示も正確でした。

ショー自体は非常に印象的で、美しい劇場空間で、まさに本格的でした。観光客だけでなく、質の高いパフォーマンスを楽しむためにおしゃれをした地元の人々もたくさんいました。

伝統的な日本の劇場を観たいなら、VELTRAのサービスを100%お勧めします。公式の劇場のウェブサイトよりもはるかに簡単です。

一つ注意点があります：対話はすべて日本語です。それが気になる方は、心を広げる必要があります。

それと、事前の土産物の押し売りは少し予想外でしたが、全体の体験を損なうものではありませんでした。

I wasn't sure about VELTRA... But everything went perfectly! Email confirmation arrived quickly; Easy to show the coupon printout and swap for tickets; Accurate location instructions.

The show itself was extremely impressive, in a beautiful theatre space, and absolutely authentic. Besides tourists, there were LOTS of locals all dressed up to enjoy a quality performance.

I would 100% recommend using VELTRA's service if you want to see traditional Japanese theatre - so much easier than the official theatre website.


One caveat: dialogue is all in Japanese. If that bothers you, you need to broaden your mind.

Oh, and the barrage of souvineers beforehand was a little unexpected - But nothing that could possibly diminish the overall experience.

体験は宣伝通りで、ダンス、歌、ゲームがありました。ホストはプロフェッショナルでフレンドリーでした。参加者が6人だけだったので、個人的な体験ができました。費用に見合った価値があります。

The experience was as billed, dancing, singing and games. The hosts were professional and friendly. With only six people it was a personal experience. Worth the cost.

I absolutely loved my experience! This is a must do if you're in Kyoto. My advisor was super thorough and explained everything to me. They do the dressing and makeup in the traditional manner. They take photos of you and make sure they come out beautifully.

Great experience! A real geiko and maiko show in pontocho

この体験は本当に楽しかったです。大勢の参加者にお茶とお茶菓子が提供され、美しく着飾った舞妓が茶道の準備を行いました。その後、二人の舞妓の写真を撮ることができました。パフォーマンスには劇と一連の踊りが含まれ、美しい衣装で見事に演じられました。日本語は話せませんが、踊りの動きから何が起こっているのかはかなり理解できました。素晴らしい席でした。素晴らしい体験でした。

I really enjoyed this experience. A large group of attendees were served tea and a tea sweet while a beautifully dressed maiko performed the tea preparation part of the tea ceremony. Then we could take pictures of two maiko. The performance included a play and a series of dances that were beautifully performed in gorgeous costumes. Even though I don't speak Japanese, I still had a pretty good idea of what was going on from the dance movements. I had an excellent seat. Wonderful experience.

建物の中は京都らしい佇まいで、風情があり良かったのですが、茶道の先生？お店の方はせっかくのお着物の着付けは乱れており、小学生の子供と参加させて頂きましたが、その子供が先生のことを横柄だったと口にするほどでした。
毎日繰り返しのことになり流れ作業のようになられているのかも知れませんが、こちらとしては期待を込めて参加しておりますので少し残念でした。

このパフォーマンスは忘れません。最初から最後まで見るのがとても興奮しました。パフォーマー、ショーの演出、セットはすべて素晴らしかったです。衣装も素晴らしかったです。少し残念だったのは、茶道がとても急いで行われたことです。私たちは急かされて入れられ、急かされて出され、これが何か特別な意味を持つのか疑問に思いました。

We will not forget this performance. It was exciting to watch from beginning to end. The performers, the show direction, the sets were all fantastic. The costumes were magnificent. There was a small downside, and that was the tea ceremony was very rushed. We were herded in and herded out, and this made us wonder why this was significant in any way.

We had a good time at the show. It was a small theatre and the show was not particularly grand, but it was a really nice and cosy performance. Loved it!

私たちは内容を理解できないことを知っていました。しかし、演劇自体、特に伝統的な踊りの第二部はとても美しく、セリフはあまりありませんでした。
茶道はとても急いでいて、甘いものを食べてお茶を飲むのが早く求められ、実際に芸者が「準備」する行為を十分に楽しむことができませんでした。
全体的に、参加して良かったと思っており、思い出に残る体験でした。しかし、長い茶道を期待するなら、他の場所に行くことをお勧めします。この茶道は5分もありませんでした。

The overall experience went well. This is basically the traditional Japanese play, it only happens in a few days in May, and it's not very touristy. Most people going were actual locals, dressed in kimono. There were a few tourists, dressed more casual, but very few.
We knew that we wouldn't understand any of it. But the play itself, more the second part with the traditional dancing, was very pretty, and didn't involve much dialogue.
The tea ceremony was very rushed, and you are expected to eat the sweet and drink your tea very fast, and couldn't enjoy properly the act of the geisha actually "preparing" it.
Overall, I am glad we did it, and it was an experience to remember. But if you expect a long tea ceremony, please go elsewhere. This one was no more than 5min.

茶道は急いで行われ、特に印象に残るものではありませんでしたが、お茶は本物の抹茶で、美味しいケーキがありました。ケーキの皿はお土産として持ち帰れます。
茶道の後に写真撮影をしましたが、まあまあでした。
パフォーマンスは素晴らしく、入場料の価値があります。非常にプロフェッショナルで、衣装も素晴らしく、生のオーケストラが演奏しています。
祇園エリアにいるなら、ぜひおすすめです。

The tea ceremony was rushed and a non-event but the tea was real macha with a delicious cake. You keep the cake plate as a souvenir.
We did the photo op after the tea ceremony - it was OK.
The performance is outstanding and well worth the price of admission. Very professional, exquisite costumed and live orchestra.
Highly recommend this if you are in the Gion area.

それは最高の文化体験の一つでした。日本語がわからなくても、私はそれを心から楽しみました。劇場で英語のあらすじを購入することができます。問題はなく、私はただチケットカウンターに行ってバウチャーを交換しました。

It was one of the best cultural experiences. Even though i dont understand Japanese I enjoyed it thoroughly. You can buy the English synopsis of the play at the theatre itself. I faced no problem and I just went to the ticket counter and exchanged the voucher.

京都の風物詩の鴨川踊りを初めてでよかった。舞子、芸子さんのきれいなこと。なかなか、本物の舞子、芸子さんを見れないので、同席の女性も感動されていました。

とても良い体験でした。ホステスの方はとても親切で、すべてをよく説明してくれました。自分たちでお茶を作ることができたのも良かったです。住所がとても見つけにくかったのが残念でした。そのため、20分遅れて到着しました。しかし、短い時間でしたが、茶道を体験できたことに満足しています。

This was a really good experience. Our hostess was very kind and she explained everything very well. It was nice that we were invited to make tea ourselves as well. It was a pity that the adress was very difficult
to find. That was the reason that we arrived 20 minutes too late. But we were happy that we could still experienced the tea ceremony in a short

We understood the Web page to be offering a demonstration of the Sado (tea ceremony) by Maiko. This was not to be. What we dis see was a superb performance of Maiko dances and period orchestra with voices performing a tribute to Japan's new era just commenced the week we were in Kyoto. Awesome talent and display of Maiko skills in song, dance and artistry of the animated gesture. The 182nd annual performance by this group. A mempry to treasure.

とても美しいショーで、特に舞台の左側にあるオーケストラと共に、後半は感動的でした。

全体的に良い体験でしたが、特にショーに関しては良かったです。
写真撮影と茶道は観光客向けのジョークのようで、残念でした。
劇場と芸者の舞踏のチケットのみを購入することをお勧めします。

素晴らしい体験でした！多くの人が私を見ていました！
ただ、もう少し良いカスタマーサービスが提供されると感じました。メイク落としや衣装の着用が混乱を招くことがあるからです。そして、ほとんどの場合、何が起こっているのかわからずに放置されてしまいます。この体験に興味がある方は、顔をペイントするパッケージを選ぶと良いでしょう。体験がまったく異なり、旅行がより価値あるものになります。
もう一つ注意すべきことは、メイクを落とすプロセスがかなり長いということです。イベントが終わった後、夫や友人が女性が着替えを終えるのを待っている場合は、忍耐強く待ってください。女性が着替えを終えるまでに45〜60分かかることを覚悟しておいてください。

Cool experience! Many people look at me!
Although i feel better customer service can be provided, because the makeup remover and wearing of the interior clothes can be confusing. And most times left alone not knowing what is going on. For people interested in this, it is good to choose the package to paint your face, because the experience is completely different and it make your trip more worth it.
Another thing to take not, the removing of makeup process is pretty long. When the whole event is over, husband, man or friends waiting for woman to finish changing, please be patient, prepare for 45-60mins for the women to be done changing off

日本人客は少ないですが、手際よく対応していただけて気持ちよく利用出来した。着物の種類も多く地下鉄の駅から近いので観光地へのアクセスも便利です。

場所を見つけるのに問題はなく、ヴェルトラのバウチャーを持ってブースでチケットを購入しました。私は茶道なしの特別席を購入しました。

その後、茶道が行われるホールに案内されました。列に並んでいるときはそれだとは知らなかったです。お茶が出されると、私がそれを購入していないことに気づき、別のチケットを購入するように言われました（実際にはオプトアウトするつもりでした）。茶道の間、プロセスについての説明はありませんでした。

その後、パフォーマンスホールに入るのを待つ間、部屋に入りました。特別席を購入したにもかかわらず、ホールのほぼ最後列に座ることになりました。日本語のサインを持ったスタッフが周りを歩いていて、後でそれが翻訳機を貸し出していることだと分かりました。そのスタッフは周りを歩きながら英語で何も言わず、英語のサインも全くありませんでした。

パフォーマンスは2つのセクションに分かれていました。最初はドラマのようで、翻訳なしではショーを楽しむのが難しかったです。2つ目のセクションはダンスに関するもので、とても美しかったです。

スタッフは全体を通して英語での会話をもっと増やすべきです。多くの外国人観光客が茶道からパフォーマンスへの道に迷っていました。

There was no issue in finding the location and to get the ticket at the booth with the voucher from Veltra. I purchased Special Seat without the tea ceremony.

Thereafter, we were ushered into a hall where the tea ceremony was held. I did not know it was that when I was in the queue. When they serve tea, they realized that I didnt purchase with it and they asked me to purchase a separate ticket for it (though it was in my intention to opt out). There was no briefing during the tea ceremony as to what was supposed to happen in the process.

After that we went into a room while waiting to enter the performance hall. Although I bought a special seat unfortunately I was given the second last row of the hall. There were staff walking around with signs in Japanese which I figured later they were renting out translator machines. The group of staff while walking around with those did not mention anything in English nor were there any signs in English whatsoever.

The performance was split into 2 sections. The first was like a drama and it was difficult to enjoy the show without translation. The srcond brief was more on dance and it wad quite beautiful.

Staff could be more conversational in English throughout. A lot of foreign tourists were lost in their way from the tea ceremony to the performance as well.

浅草へ行くのは初めてで、一人旅だったのでどうしようかと考え、こちらのお店へお願いする事に。スタッフさんはとても感じ良いし、着付けの手際も良かったです。普段は着ない着物を着て、カメラマンさんと一緒に浅草へ。オプションでお願いしていた写真撮影も、写真を撮るだけだと思っていたら、とっても丁寧に観光案内までして下さって本当に助かりました。写真撮影も本格的で、目線やポーズにまで気を遣っての撮影にびっくりしました。大変思い出に残る素敵な時間にして下さったスタッフの方々に感謝でいっぱいです。また機会があったら利用したいと思っております。ありがとうございました。

Our tea ceremony master was amazing! They spent the time to explain every aspect of the traditions and symbolism throughout the ceremony and made us feel welcome. We learned about the history, art, and motions of the tea ceremony. We truly appreciate their translator who assisted the master and made our experience all the better! If you are looking for an very one on one style of learning, definitely book this event. We will be spreading the word to all of our friends who go to Tokyo!!
