We used a private sightseeing taxi from Kumamoto Port to our accommodation in Kurokawa Onsen, just my mother and I.

Since it was my first time in Kyushu, I really enjoyed the driver's guidance, conversations about history, and explanations about the area on the way to our destination. In today's world, we can get a lot of information online, but the stories from a local driver truly captured the essence of the place and added a live feel to the experience, which was very enjoyable. My mother and I were very satisfied. The driver also responded to our requests to see Kumamoto Castle from the car and suggested a great sightseeing route to Kurokawa Onsen, providing detailed guidance. The photos taken with my mother at the driver's recommended spots will be wonderful memories of our trip.

We considered renting a car as an option for our travel plans, but choosing the sightseeing taxi was definitely the right decision. Interacting with people is one of the joys of traveling.

On the first day, we trekked to Jomon Sugi, and on the second day, we explored Shiratani Unsuikyo. I had very little mountain climbing experience, so I was quite anxious about my physical stamina, but my excitement outweighed my worries, and I had an incredible experience without any hardships.

The journey to Jomon Sugi started in complete darkness, but as the sky gradually brightened, the sight of the majestic Yakusugi and the sense of achievement upon reaching Jomon Sugi made me truly feel that it was worth coming here!

Shiratani Unsuikyo had many rocky areas and steep inclines, but the greenery of the moss and the beautiful streams were stunning, and the view from Taiko Rock was breathtaking. I would love to visit again in a different season.

Both days, our guide was very kind, and we had a great time.

1日目は縄文杉、2日目は白谷雲水峡の連日のトレッキング。
ほとんど登山経験がなかったため、体力的にもかなり不安でしたが、楽しみの方が勝り、辛い思いなどなく、とても素晴らしい体験ができました。
縄文杉は、出発は真っ暗な時間からですが、だんだん空が明るくなってくる景色や、迫力のある屋久杉、縄文杉に到着したときの達成感、本当に来て良かった〜！と思いました。
白谷雲水峡は、岩場が多く、傾斜もキツかったですが、苔などの緑や沢がとてもキレイで、太鼓岩での眺めは絶景でした。
また違う季節にも来てみたいですね。
両日とも、ガイドさんもとても親切な方で、楽しく過ごせました。

I gifted my parents a trip to Okinawa to celebrate their retirement. Since I was worried about them driving a rental car at over 70 years old, I decided to request a sightseeing taxi. In hindsight, it was definitely the right choice!!!

For two days, the same driver took care of them, and they returned home talking happily about how kind and attentive he was. Not only was the driving smooth to their destinations, but he also suggested great restaurants and sightseeing spots, and even warned them about shops that were overpriced for souvenirs.

Since I was staying in the Miyanoura area, I had a pickup at 4 AM and arrived at the Arakawa Trailhead at 5:40 AM. After having breakfast, we departed at 6:15 AM. We did some warm-up exercises as instructed by our guide. There were some tours that started trekking without warm-up exercises, but thanks to these warm-ups, we finished without any injuries. The Jomon Sugi trekking included several breaks along the way, and we returned to the Arakawa Trailhead at 3:45 PM. I was also happy that the guide took photos along the way and shared them with us via LINE at the end. It was tough due to the heavy rain, but it became a great memory!

宮之浦地区に滞在していたため、朝4時ピックアップ。荒川登山口に5時40分着。
朝ごはんを食べ、6時15分出発しました。
ガイドさんの指示で準備体操。

This time, I planned a 2-night, 3-day trip with Shirakawa-go on the first day and sightseeing in Kanazawa on the second day. Since the weather seemed bad in advance, I considered changing Shirakawa-go to the second day... However, since the sightseeing in Kanazawa involves more walking, I decided to stick to the original plan and went ahead with it. １０日から全国的に気温が下がり白川郷はあいにくの雨模様でした。新幹線で降り立った金沢は雨の日が比較的多いとのことですね。今回、２泊３日の予定で初日に白川郷,２日目に金沢観光で計画。事前に天候が悪い様なので白川郷を２日目に変更しようかと・・・。でも金沢観光の方が歩く距離が長いので予定通りで決断、決行しました。タクシーの車内では会話が弾み途中渋滞もありましたが、Ｊさんのおかげで楽しい初日となりました。紅葉も進み小雨でしたが全く苦にならず、気温が最適だったので前日の夏日よりは歩きやすかったのではないかと想像します。この時期にしては白川郷も若干空いていたようですし。予定を変更しなかったおかげで２日目の金沢名所巡りも曇りやや晴れで丁度良かったですし、観光案内が上手な運転手にも恵まれ快適なツアーとなりました。ありがとうございました。

On the first day, we went from the trailhead to Jomon Sugi, and on the second day, we visited Shiratani Unsuikyo and Taiko Rock. The hikes were quite hard, taking 11 hours and 6 hours respectively, but the breathtaking views at the top made me forget my fatigue. I had always wanted to visit this place at least once in my life, but now I want to come back many times.

The guide was very knowledgeable and taught us many things, which was a great learning experience! Thank you very much.

初日は登山口〜縄文杉、2日目は白谷雲水峡〜太鼓岩まで行きました。

I participated with three friends from different generations. I joined with a sense of anxiety about whether I could manage the mountain climbing over two days. Of course, I had climbed Mount Takao many times before going, so I thought I was well-prepared.

On the first day, we tackled Jomon Sugi. I had prepared myself, but to be honest, it was tough. (No doubt about it!) It took over 10 hours. Especially on the descent, my right leg wouldn't bend. 2日間、山登りが出来るか不安な気持ちで参加しました。勿論行く前にも「高尾山」に何度も登頂し訓練は重ねてきたつもりです。
一日目の縄文杉。覚悟はしてきたつもりですが、ハッキリ言って辛かったです。（キッパリ！）10時間以上。特に私は下山で右足が曲がらなくなりました。なので階段が非常に辛く1段1段両足を踏み締めながらの下山。無論時間がかかりました。しかし、ガイドさんや同じグループの方が温かく見守ってくれたお陰でなんとか無事下山する事が出来ました。こんな状態で2日目　白谷雲水峡。誰もが行けるのか？私自身も思いました。入念にマッサージ・湿布・ストレッチ。行きたい気持ちが勝ったのでしょうか？なんとか翌日脚は回復（たぶん上部だけ）まさしく、白谷雲水峡でも帰りは大変。右足曲がらない状態。やはり1段1段の下山です。
こんな私でも2日間コース、なんとか完歩できました。ガイドさんに恵まれ、同じグループの方に恵まれ、あとこのツアーの旅行を計画し一緒に参加した友達にも恵まれました。皆様にお礼を言いたいと思います。ありがとうねー。
頑張った2日間。大変貴重な体験ができました。
でも、この先は無理しない登山を心がけしたいと思います。（笑）

Since I was unfamiliar with the area during another trip and had to rush around without knowing the bus routes, this time I chartered a taxi and was able to fully enjoy my time. The driver was warm and shared information about the sights, food, buildings, and Okinawan history on the way, which kept the kids entertained and well-behaved until we reached the Churaumi Aquarium. I booked this plan because I really wanted to include Takachiho Gorge in my solo trip. Unfortunately, the weather was not great, so it wasn't the best experience. On the day of my reservation, the sky was cloudy with light rain, and the beautiful scenery of the Aso grasslands that I was looking forward to was completely shrouded in fog, which was disappointing. However, on the way back, it cleared up in Kumamoto City, and I was lucky to see the rice mound. I used Kumamoto Taxi, and the driver was very considerate and engaging, making the visits to Takachiho Gorge, Amano Iwato Shrine, and Shirakawa Springs very enjoyable. According to the driver, it's easier to access Takachiho Gorge from the Kumamoto side. The lunch they recommended, consisting of daikon and takana rice and dako soup, was also delicious. 服装は山の上の方は市内と気温差があるので羽織るものはあったほうが良いです。

My foreign husband visited Okinawa for the first time, and it was my first visit in 10 years! There were many places I wanted to go, but due to the heat and travel fatigue, we narrowed it down to two locations. We went to Churaumi, so most of the 7-hour course was spent on the round trip and at the aquarium, but we were able to take commemorative photos at a spot overlooking Kouri Island and the bridge, which became a wonderful memory!

On the other hand, I used a cashback campaign, but the response was not smooth, which was frustrating. (The only communication was a message stating that phone inquiries were not possible.) Since the driver was from a different company, I couldn't find out how the cashback would be processed when I asked in the car, and since I couldn't make inquiries by phone, I had no choice but to wait... For that reason, I would give it a 2-star deduction. However, the tour itself was very convenient, so I recommend it!

We had some anxiety on our first trip together, but since we were participating in an event in Okinawa, we decided to hire a private car instead of joining a package tour. The car was spacious and comfortable, which was great. Our driver was a Chinese gentleman who spoke Japanese fluently and was very kind. The driver spoke only broken Japanese, and I often couldn't understand what he was saying, which made me question whether he understood me. He said he understood when I explained the change in sightseeing spots first thing in the morning, but I was left wondering.

I was taken to a place I said to skip. Even though I mentioned the Heart Rock on Kouri Island, I was brought to the parking lot in front of the beach. There wasn't much time lost at either location, though. When I said I would shop for 20 to 30 minutes at the roadside station and returned, the driver was not there. He was shopping as well. I didn't have to wait too long, but the driver had a vibe that made it hard to get too upset.

However, his driving was rough, he was speeding, and to top it off, he was using his phone while waiting at a traffic light, which I would like him to stop for safety reasons. Well, the driver of the jumbo taxi I arranged through another service was also talking on the phone while driving.

ただ運転が荒い、スピード出し過ぎ、そして極め付けは信号待ちで携帯を操作してましたが、これは安全上の観点からやめていただきたいです。まあベルトラ以外で手配したジャンボタクシーのドライバーさんも運転中に携帯で話していましたが。

This time, I used their service for sightseeing in the southern region, and it seemed like they were quite knowledgeable about the area, so I felt comfortable leaving it to them. I joined the tour solo, but I was able to climb with some really nice people! It was so much fun to hike with such great individuals!!

The guide was very knowledgeable and explained a lot about the plants and the climbing goals, sharing many insights that can only be learned in Yakushima. Before the tour, they communicated with me in detail over the phone regarding equipment checks and my physical condition, allowing me to prepare thoroughly. The climb itself was quite challenging, but we all managed to reach the summit safely, so booking this tour guide was definitely the right choice!

ツアーには1人で弾丸参加しましたが、他の方とも仲良く登山させていただきました！とても気の良い人たちと登山できて楽しかったです！！

The initial itinerary was to leave the hotel for ① Sefa Utaki ② lunch ③ the Yachimun no Sato area ④ a shop for sata andagi, and then return to the hotel. However, we ended up spending more time than expected at ①, and one of the shops we wanted to visit was unexpectedly closed, so we had to change our plans. During that time, the driver kindly informed us about the travel times to our destinations and recommended some wonderful places to visit.

They also patiently explained how to buy tickets at our destination, and the reunion when returning to the car was smooth, which helped us avoid wasting time. Additionally, while driving, they shared interesting stories about life in Okinawa and fun trivia, which kept us entertained.
