As a beginner in mountain climbing, this was my first solo trip to Yakushima, and I was welcomed right at the airport. They provided fitting for my shoes and explained everything thoroughly. In the morning, I was able to comfortably take a dedicated bus to the trailhead. Above all, the fellow participants in the climbing tour with the experienced guide were wonderful people, and I was able to reach the summit without giving up. It was truly a great experience.

登山初心者で屋久島初一人旅でしたが、空港ですぐ出迎えてくれ、靴のフィッティングやもろもろ説明をして下さいました。朝も専用バスで登山口まで安心して行けました。何より、ベテランのガイドさんと一緒に登山するツアーの仲間がとても良い方々でくじける事なく登りきる事が出来ました。本当に良かったです。

Three men participated: two in their late 30s and one in his 40s. The guide was a young woman. Although she had only been a guide for a year, she provided detailed and careful explanations about the plants, the views, and the names of the mountains! The three men had very little climbing experience, but I believe we were able to progress at a surprisingly fast pace thanks to the guide. The information about the remaining distance, landmarks, and the location of restrooms made a huge difference compared to climbing on our own. We descended earlier than planned, so we were able to spend some relaxing time at a secret spot recommended by the guide. To put it plainly, it was the best trip ever!

30代後半2名、40代1名　男3名で参加。
ガイドさんは若い女性の方でした。　まだガイド歴1年との事でしたが、植物や見える景色、山の名前など細かく丁寧に説明して頂けました！
男3名、登山経験はほとんど無かったのですが、意外とハイペースで進めたのもガイドさんのおかげだと思います。　残り距離や目印、トイレの位置など、自分たちだけで登山するのとガイドさんをつけるのでは、全然違う登山になったと思います。
予定より早く下山してきたので、ガイドさんおすすめの秘密のポイントでまったりとした時間を過ごすこともできました。
はっきり言って、最高の旅になりました！

Our family of three went on our first trip to Ishigaki Island.
The main event was a tour of Iriomote Island.
Of course, we were full of expectations.
Originally, we had signed up for a full-day tour, but since it involved swimming for an hour and a half at a waterfall, we canceled and chose this half-day tour instead.
I thought half a day would go by quickly, but it was quite the opposite.
We were satisfied with the canoeing and also enjoyed the trekking.
For lunch, we had rice balls, which were very delicious.
Our guide was friendly, and we had a great time.
If we have the opportunity, we will definitely participate again next time.

家族3人で初めての石垣島旅行。
メインは西表島のでこのツアーでした。
もちろん期待満々。
本当は１日ツアーを申し込んだのですが、滝で1時間半泳ぐというので、キャンセルしてこちらにしました。
半日なんてすぐかなぁと思っていたら、とんでもない。
カヌーも満足、トレッキングでも満足。
お昼もおにぎり、とっても美味しかった。
感じの良いガイドさんで、楽しく過ごしました。
機会があれば次回も絶対さんかします。

I had some concerns about my physical stamina, but I participated with my classmates. We were blessed with good weather and a great guide, making for a more fulfilling experience than I expected. The tramway was well-maintained and easy to walk on. The large tree path was a bit tough for my out-of-shape body at times, but I was able to manage it with the guide's advice. The Jomon Sugi, which we aimed to see, was of course amazing, but the several Yakusugi trees and the views of Mount Kuju and Mount Miyanoura from the tree gaps also lifted my spirits. The fact that this tour goes directly to the Arakawa Trailhead is a big plus. Just keep in mind that the weather is a matter of luck.

体力的には、少し不安もありましたが、同級生と参加しました。
天気とガイドさんにも恵まれ、予想以上の充実した時間でした。
トロッコ道は整備され歩き易かったです。
大株歩道は、運動不足気味の体にはきつい場面もありましたが、ガイドさんの助言でクリアできました。
目的の縄文杉はもちろん素晴らしかったですが、その前のいくつかの屋久杉や樹間から見える翁岳や宮之浦岳も気分を盛り上げてくれました。
このツアーは、荒川登山口まで直通というのも、ポイント高いですよ。
ただ天気だけは運次第なので、ご留意ください。

The weather forecast was uncertain, predicting clouds and rain, which made me anxious, but three days prior it changed to sunny, so I felt relieved to head to Yakushima. This time, I participated with my wife. I was moderately jogging, so I wasn't too worried, but my wife had never walked such a long distance of 22 kilometers round trip, and she was anxious about participating, acknowledging her lack of exercise. Unfortunately, at the hotel where we stayed the night before, there was a loud commotion in the neighboring room, and my wife couldn't sleep at all, while I was sound asleep and didn't notice. She might have also been anxious and nervous about the tour the next day. When she told me she hadn't slept, I felt disheartened, knowing she would likely retire midway, but we prepared ourselves for the tour. A taxi picked us up just after 4 AM, and the tour began. Compared to the metropolitan area, the air was clear and there were fewer lights. We were first moved by the starry sky. Finally, the trekking started, and the first 8 kilometers were on a gentle incline along a cart path. It was an easy ascent, and we enjoyed listening to the guide's explanations and jokes along the way. We stopped to drink spring water and munched on snacks, and before we knew it, we had walked the full 8 kilometers, and my wife had forgotten about her sleepless night.

Next was the approximately 3-kilometer mountain trail, which had some steep sections and tricky footing, but we managed to overcome them while enjoying breathtaking views. My wife really pushed herself, and we could feel the ancient history at Jomon Sugi. We took a lunch break along the mountain trail, where there were wooden resting spots, and the bento we ate there was undoubtedly delicious. A small surprise was the guide's service of warm miso soup, which made lunch even more enjoyable. For us, the descent was tougher than the ascent. I think it was partly due to fatigue, but we had to exert ourselves more with our legs, which used more energy than going up. The hardest part for me was the return on the cart path. Once we came down from the mountain trail, the cart path was flat. As the guide mentioned, a battle against drowsiness awaited us. Although I had slept enough, I was full from lunch, the flat and easy path relaxed me, and the scenery was familiar. Fighting off sleep while walking was a first-time experience for me. Surprisingly, my wife seemed fine despite her sleepless night and finished the course beautifully. She seemed determined to reach the goal no matter what. Naturally, that night, she slept soundly without moving at all. I even checked to see if she was breathing out of concern. For this tour, I bought beginner hiking shoes and socks, but I managed with what I already had. It was a world heritage site I had always wanted to visit, and I created truly enjoyable memories. Yakushima seems to have other trekking courses, so I might challenge myself again.

天気予報は曇り予報だったり雨予報だったりして不安でしたが3日前から晴れ予報となり安心して屋久島へ。今回夫婦で参加しました。私は適度にジョギングをしていたのでそれほど不安はありませんでしたが奥さんは今回のような往復22キロのような長い距離を歩く事があるはずもなく、運動不足を自認した上での参加で不安でした。前泊したホテルで運悪く隣の部屋で大騒ぎしてたらしく、奥さんはそのせいで眠れず徹夜。私は爆睡していて気づきませんでしたが。きっと翌日のツアーへの不安と緊張も奥さんにはあったのかも知れません。奥さんから寝てない事を聞かされ、間違いなく途中でリタイアになるだろうとガックリ、覚悟してツアーへ。4時過ぎにはタクシーが迎えに来てツアースタート。首都圏と比べて空気も澄んで明かりが少ないからでしょう。満天の星空に先ずは感動。いよいよ、トレッキングがスタートして最初の8キロはトロッコ道。本当に緩やかな登りで全く苦もなくのぼれました。途中ガイドさんの解説やジョークを聞きながら。途中で湧き水を酌んで飲んだり、持参したおやつを頬張って歩いてると気がつけば8キロを歩きとおしていて、心配していた奥さんも徹夜だったのを忘れてました。いよいよ登山道約3キロ、流石に急勾配のところや足場が良くないところもあって、何とか克服しつつ、絶景の連続。奥さんも本当に頑張ってくれて縄文杉で古代の歴史を感じる事ができました。折り返しの登山道途中でお昼タイム。登山道には所々に木製の休憩スペースがあってそこで食べる弁当はいうまでもなく絶品。スモールサプライズはガイドさんからあったかい味噌汁のサービス。さらにお昼がおいしさを増しました。我々には登りよりくだりがきつかった。体力を消耗しているのもあったと思いますが脚で踏ん張る事が多く、登りより体力を使います。そして私にとって一番きつかったのは帰りのトロッコ道でした。登山道をおりてくるとトロッコ道は平坦です。ガイドさんも言ってましたが睡魔との闘いが待っていました。十分寝ていたのですが、お昼を食べて満腹だったのと、平坦で歩きやすい道に気が緩み、さらに景色が一度見ている景色で。歩きながら眠気との戦いをするのも人生初の体験でした。意外にも奥さんは平気だったようで徹夜だったのにゴールは見事でした。本人は意地でもゴールするつもりだったようです。当然、奥さんはその日の夜、ピクリともせずに寝てました。心配になって息をしているか確認をした位に。今回のツアーに向けては登山初心者用の靴と靴下を購入しましたが後は既に持ってるもので何とかなりました。一度は行って見たかった世界遺産、本当に楽しい思い出を作る事が出来ました。屋久島には他にもトレッキングコースがあるようなのでまた、チャレンジをしようかな。

Both the Jomon Sugi tour and the Shiratani Unsuikyo tour were shrouded in rain and mist, but they were very magical and enjoyable. On the way back, the rain stopped for a short while, and a little light shone through. The raindrops made the leaves sparkle, showcasing a brilliant green glow, allowing us to experience a completely different and wonderful scenery compared to the rain and mist.

縄文杉ツアーも白谷雲水ツアーもどちらも雨と霧がかかっていましたがとても幻想的でよかったです。帰り工程では少しの間雨が止み、少し光が射し、雨の雫で木の葉がキラキラ、キラキラ緑の輝きを見せてくれ、雨と霧の時と全く違う素晴らしい情景を体験できました。

There are morning and afternoon sessions, but I signed up for the morning session from 8:30 to 12:30. After arriving at Iriomote Island by ferry, I met up with the tour guide at the port. Once we arrived at the office, which was about a 5-minute walk, we spent about 10 minutes getting ready (filling out forms and changing clothes), then got into the car and headed to the departure point, which was about a 15-minute drive away. The tour lasted just over three and a half hours, including about 50 minutes of canoeing, 20 minutes of trekking, and nearly 30 minutes of free time at the waterfall, before returning the way we came.

Canoeing was a bit tough at first, but once I got used to it, it became easy and fun to steer. The time allocation for each activity was just right, making it a well-rounded tour that incorporated various adventure elements. When I participated, there were four guests, including myself, and one tour guide. The guide took photos at various points (which can be downloaded later from the website), and the friendly, homey atmosphere created by the guide was wonderful. It felt like I could come back next year, almost like returning home, and I would love to meet this group again!

午前の部と午後の部がありますが、私が申し込んだのは8:30-12:30の午前の部。
フェリーで西表島に到着後、港でツアーガイドさんと合流。徒歩5分くらいの事務所に着いたら、10分程度で準備（申込書記入、着替え）し
、車に乗り込んで15分くらいの所にある出発地点へ。カヌー50分程度、トレッキング20分程度、滝壺で自由時間30分弱、その後来た道を戻る3時間半ちょっとのツアーでした。
カヌーを漕ぐのが少しきついですが、慣れるとスイスイ、方向転換も出来て楽しいし、その他も程よい時間配分なので、様々なアドベンチャー要素をちょうど良く取り込んだ欲張りツアーです。
私が参加した時はツアー客が私含め4人にツアーガイドさん1人。所々でガイドさんが写真を撮ってくれたり（後でホームページからダウンロード出来ます）、何よりガイドさんの気さくさから来るアットホームさが良かったです。また来年、実家に帰るような気分で来れそうな、またこのメンバーに会いに来たいと思えるような素敵な時間でした！

I requested a guided trekking and river kayaking experience on Yakushima with my mother. We took our time trekking through Shiratani Unsuikyo, observing various things along the way. For kayaking, we paddled up the Anbo River. Our guide taught us about the creatures, plants, and history, which felt very luxurious! The pace was adjusted based on our comfort, so my mother had no issues doing both trekking and kayaking in one day. After enjoying a pleasant sense of fatigue and a lot of luxurious time, we went to a hot spring before being taken back to our accommodation. It was a wonderful island, and the locals were also very lovely. It was a fantastic tour! Thank you for the luxurious time!

母と2人で、屋久島トレッキング→リバーカヤックをガイド付きでお願いしました。トレッキングは白谷雲水峡を時間を掛け、色々観察しながら歩きました。カヤックは安房川をのぼりました。ガイドさんにも生き物や植物や歴史の事を何でも教えて貰えて、とっても贅沢でした！ペースも様子をみながら合わせてもらえるので、母も1日でトレッキングとカヤックをしてもまったく問題ありませんでした。程よい疲労感とたくさんの贅沢な時間をお土産に温泉へ行ってから、お宿に送ってもらいました。とても素敵な島で島の人達もとっても素敵でとってもいいツアーでした！贅沢な時間を有難う御座いました！

The day before trekking
I was worried because all ferries were canceled the day before due to the typhoon, but I arrived at Yakushima safely as planned. When I got to the port, the staff member was waiting for me, and we finished the meeting for the next day, paid the mountain conservation fee (1,000 yen), and adjusted the sizes for the rental items.

About the rental items
1. Trekking shoes (It might just be a coincidence, but the women's shoes provided were all quite worn out. Is the 24cm size in high demand? The men's sizes didn't seem to be as worn.)
2. Rainwear (I didn't wear it since it didn't rain, so I can't comment on its condition.)
3. Bag (No issues, especially with damage or odor. It also comes with a rain cover.)

The day of trekking
Fortunately, the weather was great, and it didn't rain at all, allowing for a comfortable trekking experience. I was picked up at the hotel at 4 AM and boarded the bus. We went directly to the Arakawa trailhead, picking up other participants along the way. After having breakfast and finishing some light warm-up exercises, we departed around 5:50 AM. With the guide leading the way, we walked steadily along the trolley path and arrived at the entrance to the Okubo trail without any issues. After using the restroom, we began the serious mountain climbing.
The path is basically paved with wooden planks, but there were some wobbly and decayed spots that made me a bit nervous. I think it would be even more slippery if it were raining, so caution is necessary.
After passing by the Ohmatsu cedar and the couple cedar, we finally reached Jomon cedar. The viewing deck is a bit far from Jomon cedar, so it lacked grandeur, but after the effort it took to climb here, I was indeed moved when I saw Jomon cedar.
After about 30 minutes of admiring it, we had our lunch and began our descent. The guide was very knowledgeable, sharing various stories about plants, geological layers, and history on the way back. We even stopped by a river along the trolley path, allowing us to experience more than just trekking. We returned to the trailhead around 5 PM.
According to the guide, if the weather or the party's condition isn't good, it can be difficult to make detours, and he mentioned that we had a good party today. Indeed, I believe we were fortunate to have a great group, as we all looked out for each other and made it down safely without anyone lagging behind.
It was a valuable experience and a cherished memory. Thank you very much.

トレッキング前日
台風の影響で前日のフェリーが全便欠航していて心配しましたが、無事予定通り屋久島に到着。
港に着いたら担当者の方が待っていて下さり、翌日の打合せ、山岳保全金協力金（1000円）の支払い、レンタル品のサイズ合わせで終了です。

レンタル品について
①トレッキングシューズ（たまたまかもしれませんが、用意頂いた女性用のシューズがボロボロの物ばかりでした。24cm前後は使用頻度が高いのでしょうか？男性サイズはそうでもありませんでした。）
②レインウェア（雨が降らず着用していない為使用感は分かりません。）
③バッグ（特に破損、臭いなどもなく問題なし。レインカバーも付いてます。）

トレッキング当日
幸いにも天候に恵まれ、1滴も雨が降らず快適にトレッキングできました。
朝4時にホテルに迎えに来て頂きバスに乗車。途中で参加者をピックアップしながら荒川登山口まで直行でした。
朝食を食べて軽い準備運動を終えたら5：50頃出発。ガイドさんを先頭に行きのトロッコ道はもくもくと歩き、順調に大株歩道入口まで到着。トイレを済ませてここから本格的な山登りでした。
基本的には木道で舗装されているのですが、歩くとぐらついたり腐食している箇所があったりと少しひやひやしました。
雨が降っているとさらに滑りやすくなると思うので注意が必要です。
大王杉や夫婦杉を経過してなんとか縄文杉に到着。展望デッキと縄文杉が離れているので雄大さには欠けましたが、ここまで苦労して登ってきたこともあり、縄文杉を目にした時はやはり感動しました。
30分程鑑賞した後お弁当を食べて下山開始。
ガイドさんはとても博識な方で、帰りは植物や地層、歴史の話など多彩なお話をして下さったり、トロッコ道の途中で川にも寄ってくれて、トレッキングだけでなく色々な体験ができました。登山口に戻ってきたのは17：00頃でした。
ガイドさん曰く、天候やパーティの状態が良くないと寄り道し辛いそうで、最後に、今日は良いパーティでしたねと仰って頂けました。
確かに、お互い気を遣い、誰ひとり遅れることもなく無事に下山できたのは、ガイドさん含めパーティのメンバーに恵まれたからだと思います。
貴重な体験ができ、大切な思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。

I participated in this tour on October 12. Despite being October, the maximum temperature was below 20 degrees and it was unfortunately raining. I had come to Okinawa dressed for summer, thinking it was still the height of summer, so I was shivering while sightseeing. By the time we arrived at Cape Hedo, the rain had eased quite a bit, and we walked to the tip of the cape in light rain.

At the Okinawa World, it was raining, but since we were walking through a jungle-like area, I didn't feel the rain much. I was amazed by the towering stones of various shapes and the mysterious power of nature.

This tour allows for a three-hour stay at the Churaumi Aquarium, so I was able to leisurely enjoy the dolphin show without feeling rushed, which was great.

Although it's not directly related to the tour content, I noticed that more than 70% of the participants were foreigners, so the guide used audio guides in multiple languages. It made me realize that Okinawa tourism has to adapt to internationalization.

10/12にこちらのツアーに参加致しました。10月なのに、最高気温は20度以下そして生憎の雨。まだ真夏の沖縄だと思い服装も真夏仕様で沖縄へ来たのでブルブル震えながらの観光となりました。 辺戸岬に着く頃には雨もだいぶ弱まり小雨の中岬の先端まで歩いて行きました。
大石林山では雨は降っているのですが、ジャングルのような中を歩いていたため雨をさほど感じず、またそそり立つ色々な形をした石に驚きと自然の不思議な力に圧巻されました。
このツアーですと美ら海水族館での滞在時間が3時間あるため、イルカのショーを含めてのんびりゆっくりと観る事が出来とても楽しく時間に追われることもなく良かったです。
ツアー内容とはあまり関係ないですが、外国籍の方がツアー参加者全員の7割以上を占めていたので、ガイドさんも複数言語の音声案内を使いながらでした。沖縄観光も国際化に対応せざる得ないのだなぁ。と思いました。

I was very tired, but the weather was favorable, and I was able to reach Jomon Sugi safely thanks to the conversations we had at key points. Additionally, I was advised on how to avoid muscle soreness on the return bus, which allowed me to enjoy sightseeing from the next day.

とても疲れましたが、天気にも恵まれ、要所要所で会話してくださったので、無事に縄文杉にたどり着くことができました。 また、筋肉痛になりにくいようにどうすればよいか、帰りのバスで教えていただき、翌日からも観光を楽しむことができました。

I was unsure about trekking because it was raining, but it was very refreshing. I wanted to go to the aquarium, but I'm glad I participated.

I went trekking to Jomon Sugi with three friends. I was worried because I wasn't confident in my physical strength, but I was healed by the power of nature and had a great time interacting with our guide and other tour participants. Next time, I want to go to Shiratani Unsuikyo.

友達4人で縄文杉トレッキングしました。
体力に自信がなく不安でしたが、自然のパワーに癒され、ガイドさんや他のツアーの方達ともふれあい、楽しいトレッキングでした。
次回は白谷雲水峡に行きたいなぁ。

The guide was very kind. A typhoon was approaching, and the weather was bad. Before the tour started, the guide asked us multiple times if we still wanted to participate, but since it was the main purpose of this trip, I insisted on going for it! However, due to the overwhelming chaos of the stream, we had to turn back midway. The mountain road we took on the way there was so rough that it was impassable on the way back. Without the guide, we might not have made it back safely.

The moss soaked in rain was truly beautiful, and at the same time, I felt the wonder of nature, experiencing the stillness and movement of the mountains. It was my first time walking in such a stormy rain (laughs). Unfortunately, we couldn't reach Taiko Rock, but I am really grateful to the guide for providing such a valuable experience. I definitely want to participate again next time.

For those who will be joining soon! Even if the forecast predicts clear weather, I highly recommend bringing rain gear. I rented both rain gear and shoes. Also, I prepared special socks to bring along, which I think was a good decision.

あんなに荒れた雨の中歩いたのは人生初です（笑）
残念ながら太鼓岩までも辿り着けませんでしたが

いくら晴れの予報でも雨具は必ず持って行くことを
おススメ致します。
私は雨具も靴もレンタルしていきました。
あと靴下は専用の物を準備して行ったので

The guide was very polite and kind. Not only did they provide explanations on-site, but they also taught us how to walk in a way that minimizes foot pain on the mountain, ensured we took appropriate breaks, and even gave us snacks. They also looked for opportunities for us to take photos freely and helped us capture various poses. Thanks to the excellent support from the guide, I had a very satisfying travel experience.

ガイドさんが非常に丁寧で親切でした。
現地での説明はもちろん、
山での足が痛くなりにくい歩き方を説明下さったり、
適度に休憩を取って頂いたり、お菓子を下さったり、
写真も自由に撮れるタイミングを見てくださったり、色んなポーズで写真撮影もして下さり、
非常にガイドさんの対応が良かったおかげで、
とても満足のいく旅が経験できました。

I thought the round trip to Jomon Sugi would take a long 9 hours, but learning about Yakushima and the plants made the time fly by. I really felt how magnificent nature is! The guide's recommendations for places to visit and delicious restaurants were so much fun to hear about.

The sense of achievement and the richness of the content were incredible! I'm glad I chose the ambitious plan! The guide was a veteran, which gave me a sense of security, especially for such a challenging course!

Due to the impact of the typhoon, standard tours to see Jomon Sugi were all canceled because of fallen trees, but this tour not only allows you to cross the mountains to see Jomon Sugi, but also visit Shiratani Unsuikyo (including places like the Forest of Mononoke and Taiko Rock) all in one day, which is truly amazing. The guide mentioned, "It's inefficient and a waste to stay in mountain lodges or split the trip over multiple days when you can do it all in one day," and after participating in the tour, I completely agreed. Before departure, I had concerns about the early morning start and my physical stamina, but once I was there, I realized that a day in the forest goes by quickly, so you really need to start early to enjoy it fully. The guide also skillfully adjusted the walking pace, so although it was challenging, I managed to complete it. Above all, the memories after the tour, along with the bath, meals, and drinks back at the accommodation, were exceptional! Participating in this tour, I truly felt the guide's thoughtful gestures, and the nature of Yakushima really revitalizes the spirit. I highly recommend it! Thank you, Mr. Shimozono!

台風の影響で、縄文杉を見に行く標準的なツアーは、倒木によりすべてキャンセルになる中、このツアーは縄文杉まで山を越えて見に行けるだけでなく、途中の白谷雲水峡（もののけの森や太鼓岩など）も同じ1日で巡る事ができて、本当に最高です。ガイドさんも、「全部日帰りで行けるのに、山小屋に泊まったり、日を分けて山に入ったりするのは非効率でもったいない」と言っていて、ツアーに参加してみて、本当にそうだなと思いました。出発前は、朝が早い/体力が心配といった懸念事項がありましたが、いざ行ってみると、森の1日は早いので、朝は早くなくては満喫できないし、また体力もガイドさんが歩くペースを上手に調整してくれるので、何とかではあったもののやりきる事ができましたし、何より、終わった後の思い出を思い出しながらの、宿に戻った後のお風呂や食事、お酒は格別です！このツアーに参加して、ガイドさんの所々の心遣いは本当に染みましたし、屋久島の自然で心は本当に生き返ります。おすすめです！下園さん、ありがとうございました！

This was my first time participating, but due to heavy rain, Shiratani Unsuikyo was closed, and I couldn't see Taiko Rock, which I was looking forward to. It might be unavoidable because of the weather, but there was no refund. I thought I would at least enjoy the tour to Jomon Sugi, but the guide's response was very disappointing.
- While other groups were taking breaks regularly, we did not take any.
- Even though there was someone in our group with a foot injury, one person went ahead without providing any care.
- I wanted to take photos, but I was hurried to move forward quickly. It felt like they wanted to get back as soon as possible.
I also felt envious watching the guides from other groups properly explain the highlights.

初めて参加しましたが、大雨の影響で白谷雲水峡が閉鎖されており
楽しみにしていた太鼓岩は見られませんでした。
天候なので仕方ないのかもしれませんが、返金もなし。
せめて縄文杉までのツアーを楽しもうと思いましたが
ガイドさんの対応がすごく残念でした。
・他グループはコマメに休んでいるのに休憩を取らない
・足を痛めてる人がグループにいたにも関わらず
　１人だけ先にいき、まったくケアをしない
・写真を撮りたかったのに早く前に進めと急かされる
　早く帰りたいように感じた。
また、他のグループのガイドさんがしっかりと見どころの解説を
されているのを見て羨ましく思えました。

The beginning of the climb was under a cloudy sky. However, it turned into heavy rain along the way. Although I managed to reach the forest of Princess Mononoke, unfortunately, I had to give up on Taiko Rock and turn back. The path I had taken on the way there had turned into a river on the way back. The babbling stream had transformed into a muddy torrent. It's a shame I couldn't go to Taiko Rock, but the scenery of Shiratani Unsuikyo in the rain was mystical and beautiful. I felt reassured on the way back because I had a guide with me. Thank you, Watanabe-san.

登り始めは曇り空。しかし、途中から大雨になってしまいました。もののけ姫の森には何とか到着したものの、残念ながら太鼓岩は断念し引き返しました。行きは見た道であったのに、帰りは川になっていました。せせらぎも濁流へと景色が一変していました。太鼓岩に行けなかったのは残念だけど、雨の白谷雲水峡の景色は神秘的で良かったです。ガイドさんがついてくれていたので、帰りは安心しました。渡辺さんありがとうございました。

I wanted to see what a power spot was like, so I participated in the tour. During the drive to the northern part, I listened to the audio guide and Okinawan songs, enjoying the scenery outside without getting bored. Cape Hedo had a beautiful view, and I'm glad I went. At the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, I didn't feel rushed for time, but I think a slightly faster pace was just right.

I stayed at the aquarium for three hours and also relaxed at the adjacent beach. If I had more time, I would have liked to see the dolphin show and other buildings, but considering the schedule, it couldn't be helped. It was a very nice aquarium, so next time I want to join a tour that includes Kouri Island and visit again.

パワースポットとあったのでどんなところか行ってみたく参加しました。北部へのドライブ中は音声ガイドと沖縄ソングを聞き、外の景色を見ながら飽きることなく行けました。辺戸岬はとても景色良く、行ってよかったです。大石林山は時間が足りないことはありませんでしたが、少し急ぎ足で歩いてちょうどいい時間割だと思います。
水族館滞在は3時間で、水族館の他に隣接したビーチでのんびりしました。もっと時間があったらイルカショーや他の建物を見たかったですが、時間割を考えると仕方ないと思います。とてもよい水族館だったので、今度は古宇利島とセットのツアーに参加して再訪したいです。

Yakushima's history and Jomon Sugi, of course, I learned so much and Yukki-san (the guide) answered all my questions. It was incredibly educational, and my conversations with Yukki-san were always enjoyable.

We went as a group of five, with both experienced climbers and beginners, and Yukki-san was great at assessing everyone's fitness levels and providing various instructions. Above all, I felt a tremendous sense of security! Thanks to Yukki-san, even those who were anxious about climbing were able to do so with confidence. Also, we took a lot of photos in beautiful spots, which created wonderful memories.

Listening to Yukki-san's experiences and playing shiritori together kept the long tour fun and engaging. Yukki-san, who knows a lot about endemic species, was also strong in shiritori! (laughs)

The brown sugar rice crackers Yukki-san gave us during the trekking were delicious, but the sweet potato yokan I brought was also amazing. I definitely recommend that future participants bring some along.

屋久島の歴史、縄文杉のことはもちろんホントにたくさんのことを知っていて質問すれば全て答えてくれました。すごく勉強になり、ユッキーさん（ガイドさん）との会話が終始楽しかったです。
今回5人グループで行きましたが、登山経験者もいれば初心者もいてそれぞれの体力を把握していろいろと指示してくれました。なにより安心感がハンパなかったです！ユッキーさんのおかげで登山に不安を抱えていた子も安心して登山ができたと思います。また、景色の良い場所でたくさん写真を撮っていただき、良い思い出作りにもなったと思います。
ユッキーさんの経験談を聞いたり、全員でしりとりをしたりと、長いツアーも飽きずに楽しむことができました。固有種をたくさん知っているユッキーさんはしりとりにも強かった！(笑)
トレッキング中にユッキーさんがくれた黒糖麩菓子も美味しかったですが、自分が持って行った芋ようかんも最高でした。ぜひ、これから参加する方に持っていくようにお勧めしていただきたいです。

The mangrove canoeing in Iriomote Island offered an incredible experience with nature that exceeded my expectations. The guide's clear instructions and explanations made this tour even more wonderful.
The waterfall trekking was just the right distance, and the breathtaking view and emotions upon reaching Pinaisara were enough to blow away any fatigue!
I only had half a day in Iriomote Island this time, but next time I plan to stay overnight and enjoy it with my friends!
I want to express my gratitude to the tour creator and especially to the guide. Thank you very much!

西表島でのマングローブカヌーは想像していた以上の素晴らしい大自然と迫力を味わえました。そしてガイドさんのとても分かりやすい案内、説明はより一層このツアーを素晴らしいものにしてくれました。
滝トレッキングも程よい道のりで、ピナイサーラに着いた時の絶景と感動はそこまでの疲れを吹き飛ばしてくれる程でした！
今回は半日しか西表島にいれませんでしたが、次回は西表島に宿泊して楽しむプランを友人と考えています！

I’m 55 years old. Other than my weekly walks, I’m usually cooped up in the office and hardly ever lift anything heavier than a computer mouse, so I’m quite out of shape. Not wanting to inconvenience strangers in a large group, I requested a private guide for just the two of us with my companion.

Among my friends in Fukuoka, there was a lot of betting on whether I could reach Jomon Sugi, with the overwhelming majority betting on my "dropout." (By the way, I also voted for "dropout.")

As I feared, it started to rain halfway along the tramway, eventually turning into a downpour. I hurriedly put on my rain gear, and while struggling up the mountain path, I kept thinking, "Why did I come here? I want to stop. I want to go home." However, encouraged by my guide and companion, I somehow managed to reach the Jomon Sugi I had aimed for. After having lunch and changing clothes, just as we were about to head back, a beam of light broke through the misty rain from the clouds, shining on the massive Jomon Sugi. The sight was breathtakingly beautiful, and with the reassurance that we only had to descend from there, all the struggles of the ascent completely vanished.

And then on the way back. I thought it would be easy since we were just going down, but that was a huge mistake! The weight I had gained from being out of shape was pounding down on my knees and thighs, and I screamed in pain multiple times. The guide, Mr. Iwakawa, kindly let us take breaks each time, during which I chatted with my companion. I thought, "It’s strange, she’s out of shape too," but once we reached the flat part of the tramway, I chanted in my mind, “(Right foot) beer♪ (Left foot) hot spring♪” and managed to get through it. Returning safely to the hotel, the beer and hot spring I enjoyed were undoubtedly the best I’ve had in my 55 years of life.

55歳。週に一度の散歩以外はオフィスに閉じこもりきりで、パソコンのマウス以上に重いものを持つことなどめったいにないというほどの運動不足。大勢のグループで知らない人に迷惑をかけたくなかったので、同行の彼女と２人でお一人の専属ガイドさんをお願いしました。

地元福岡の友人らの間では私が縄文杉まで到達できるか否かで賭けが盛り上がっており、「脱落」に圧倒的多数の票が集まる中、いざ出発！（ちなみに私自身も「脱落」に一票）

心配していた雨がトロッコ道の中ほどから降り出し、やがで土砂降りに。急いでレインウエアを羽織り、山道をあえぎながら登っている最中は「なんでこんなとこに来てしまったんだ。もう止めたい。もう帰りたい。」と後悔しきりでしたが、ガイドさんや同行者に励まされ、なんとかお目当ての縄文杉に到着。
昼食と着替えを済ませ、さあ帰ろうというちょうどその時、ほんの数分でしたが霧雨に煙る雲の隙間から一条の光が巨大の縄文杉に差してきました。神々しくも壮麗なその光景はまさに息を飲むほどの美しさで、あとは下りるだけという安心感もあいまって、登りの苦労は完全に吹き飛びました。

そして帰り。下りるだけだから楽だろうと高をくくってたのですが、これが大間違い！　運動不足でふくれあがった全体重が、膝や太ももにズシンズシンとたたみかけ、もうあまりの痛さに何度も悲鳴を上げました。ガイドさんはその度に快く休憩をとってくれ、その間、同行の彼女と談笑。「おかしいなぁ、彼女も運動不足なのになぁ」と不満に思いつつも、平坦になってからの長いトロッコ道は心の中で「（右足）ビール♪（左足）温泉♪」と唱えて軽快に乗り切り、無事ホテルに帰って堪能したビールと温泉は、55年の人生で間違いなく最高でした。

I utilized a half-day trekking tour during the three-day weekend in late September.

Since it was stated that "if there is no contact after arrival, the reservation may be canceled," I called the provided phone number multiple times right after arriving, but no one answered (during business hours). I had also arranged for rentals, so I kept trying to reach them while driving, but still no response. The emergency contact was the same number, leaving me with no options. Despite the 1 PM meeting time, I couldn't get in touch before noon, so I gave up and arranged rentals elsewhere.

Feeling anxious about whether the tour would take place, I continued to try contacting them, and finally, after 12 PM, I was able to get through. I confirmed that the tour would proceed as scheduled, which relieved me, and shortly after, I received a call from the guide.

The guide was a powerful person in their late 60s. They shared various tips during the car ride to the entrance, such as "If you're on the island, you should see this and try that." However, it seemed they were a bit tired, as they led us during the trekking but didn't provide much explanation and quietly moved ahead, occasionally stopping to take photos. On the way back, they walked ahead so quietly that they didn't even notice we were falling behind.

While having dinner, I mentioned, "They were nice, but they must have been tired. It's a bit disappointing," when I received a call from the operation team asking, "How was today's tour?" I explained, "I tried to contact you multiple times and was anxious because I couldn't get through, but finally got a hold of you in the afternoon, and the guide was able to assist us." Instead of apologizing, they made excuses, saying, "There may be times when we can't answer the phone while on a call or attending to something." I responded, "If that's the case, it seems strange that I had to make so many long calls." They replied, "Is that so?" without an apology, and the conversation continued. They then mentioned, "While tallying today's tour, I noticed there was no record of the rental, and when I contacted the desk, they were gone and unreachable, so I contacted the guide, who had the equipment and guided us." I relayed the earlier details, but we ended up going in circles with the same conversation. Frustrated, I asked, "What exactly do you want from me with this call?" They replied, "I just wanted to confirm." We had been talking for over 10 minutes, and when I said, "I'm having dinner now, so can I hang up?" they said, "That's fine."

Honestly, I felt very uncomfortable. On the second day, I had a guide from a different company who provided a very pleasant experience, making the contrast even more noticeable.

9月後半の３連休に午後の半日トレッキングを利用しました。

「現地到着後連絡がない場合キャンセルにする場合があります」と記載されていたため、到着後すぐに書いてあった電話番号に何度も電話をしても誰も出ない（受付時間内）。レンタルも手配していた為、車の移動中も何度も何度も連絡しても出ない。緊急連絡先も同じ番号のためどうしようもなく、13時集合にも関わらず12時前になっても連絡がつかなかったため、諦めて別途レンタルのみ別の所で手配しました。
ツアーが行われるか不安になりながら、連絡先に引き続き連絡すると、12時過ぎにようやく電話が繋がりました。ツアーは予定通り行われるという事を確認し、安心したところその後すぐぐらいに担当のガイドさんから連絡が来ました。
担当のガイドさんは60代後半のパワフルな方。「午前中も半日コースのトレッキングを案内して来た、島内なら〇〇を見たら良いよ、食べたらいいよ」などと入口までの車の中で色々教えてくださりました。ただ…やはり、少しお疲れだったのかトレッキング中は先導はしてくださりますが、特に説明などなく黙々と進み、所々で写真を撮ってくださる感じ。帰りに至っては私たちが離れているのも気づかないぐらい黙々と前を歩いてらっしゃいました。
「いい方だったけど、疲れてたんだろうね。ちょっと残念」などと話ながら夕食を食べていると、運営の方から電話があり、「今日のツアーはどのような物だったのか」と唐突に聞かれました。「何度も連絡し、なかなか繋がらなかったので不安だったが、昼過ぎにようやく連絡がつき、無事案内していただけた」と答えると「電話中や対応中の場合は電話に出られない場合がある」と謝るでもなく言い訳をなさったので、「そうだとするとおかしなぐらいお電話は長いコールを何度も何度もしました」と伝えると「そうですか」との返事。謝らずそのまま話は進み、「今日のツアーの集計（？）をしていると、レンタルと書いてあるのにされた形跡がなく、デスクに連絡したら帰っていて繋がらないのでガイドに連絡したら装備していたのでそのままガイドした、と聞いた。どういう事か」と聞かれたため、前述の内容を伝えました。しかし、結局何度も同じ話のループとなり、痺れが切れたので「結局私はこのお電話を貰って何をする事を求められているのでしょうか」と伺うと「確認をしたかった」との返事。それまでに10分以上話をしており、「今夕食中なのでそれなら電話を切ってもいいですか」と聞くと、「構いません」とのことでした。

正直とても気分が悪かったです。
二日目は違う所でガイドをお願いしており、とても気持ち良い対応で楽しかったので、余計に差を感じました。

On September 19 (Wednesday), with clear skies and sunshine, I eagerly awaited the bus tour to the northernmost point of Okinawa. It was a perfect day for a drive. The magnificent view from Cape Hedo and the adjacent Daichi Forest Mountain felt divine, and I can't be the only one who thinks so. Just exploring this place, away from the mundane world, somehow calms my heart, cleanses me, and heals me. Moreover, I was comforted by the attentive hospitality of the staff there, thank you very much. However, I was disappointed that the exploration time at Daichi Forest Mountain was short, and if there had been a guide, it would have been an impeccable tour. The tour included the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and the Oki-chan Show, and I was very satisfied.

P.S. Lastly, I would like to request an adjustment to the volume of the earphones. The sound was just too loud. That's all. I would also like to participate in other tours.

9/19(水曜日)晴天(太陽)待ちに待った、沖縄最北端のバスツアー、絶好のドライブ日和です。辺戸岬から見る壮大な絶景、それに隣接する大石林山⛰神々しい感じがするのは、私だけでは無いはず。俗世間を離れそこを探索するだけで、何故か心が落ち着く、洗われる、癒されるそんな大石林山です。しかもそこのスタッフの皆さんの細かなおもてなしにもいやされました、ありがとうございました。ただ、残念だったのが、大石林山での探索時間が、短かったのと、ガイドさんが居てくれたら、言う事無しのツアーです。
美うみ水族館とオキちゃんショーと大満足のツアーでした。
追伸:最後になりますが、イヤホンのボリュームの調整をしてもらいたいです。とにかく音が大きかったです。以上 又、他のツアーにも参加したいです。

The view from Taiko Rock was amazing, with great weather allowing us to see the mountains and the sea of Yakushima! The guide controlled the pace, which helped manage fatigue, and it was nice to have fewer other customers in the early morning. If I could wish for anything, I would love to go trekking again on a sunny day after rain when the moss is more wet and sparkling. I highly recommend this course!

太鼓岩からの眺めは、天気も良く屋久島の山々と海まで見渡せて最高でした！ガイドさんがペースをコントロールしてくれる為、疲れもそこそこで朝一だと他のお客様が少ないのも良かったです。欲を言えば、苔達がもっと水に濡れてキラキラしている雨の翌日の晴れた日に、またトレッキングしてみたいと思います。オススメコースです！

It was a long journey of 10 hours, and hiring a guide was definitely the right decision. If I hadn't, I might have ended up on a grueling trek just aiming for Jomon Sugi to avoid missing the return bus.

The guide was young and taught us various things about Yakushima's climate, vegetation, animals, and folklore along the way. He also took photos at the scenic spots. I learned a technique for taking panoramic shots from below to above for the first time. The pacing was perfect; he guided us slowly and thoroughly on the way there (since we tend to get tired and less inclined to take photos on the way back), and on the return trip, we moved at a relatively fast pace, but he made sure we could catch the bus as soon as we got back to the trailhead.

We were able to see the mountain, which is usually hidden by clouds, and I got to see Yakushima deer up close. Experiencing the size of Jomon Sugi was also very satisfying! Even my fifth grader was able to complete the hike.

往復10時間という長丁場、ガイドを依頼して大正解でした。もし依頼していなかったら、帰りのバスに乗り遅れないよう、ただただ縄文杉を目指す苦行のような行程になっていたかもしれません。

ガイドさんは若い方で、道中、屋久島の気候や植生、動物、伝承など様々なことを教えてくれて、撮影スポットでは写真撮影もしてくれました。パノラマで下から上に撮るテクニックを初めて知りました。ペース配分もバッチリで、往路はゆっくりじっくり案内してくれて（帰りは疲れて写真撮るのも億劫になってしまうから）、復路はわりとハイペースでしたが登山口に戻ってきたらすぐにバスに乗れるよう考えてくれていました。

普段は雲に隠れている山も見れたし、ヤクシカも間近で見ることができ、縄文杉の大きさも体感できたので、大満足です！
小５でも完歩できました。

We participated in a day trip to Jomon Sugi, just two people in their 30s. Thanks to our guide, we had an amazing time. She was a young female guide, but very sincere and attentive. Sometimes, even experienced guides can be overly assertive, making it unclear whose tour it is, but this guide listened very well to the participants' requests. Not only did she cover the key points of the course, but she also took time at spots we liked and took photos for us. When I mentioned that I liked moss, she taught me about various types of moss. She was also a great timekeeper, explaining the goals in detail in increments of a few minutes to several tens of minutes, which made the climb easier. On the way down, she guided us from behind to ensure we could enjoy the view as it opened up. Her thoughtful consideration from a user's perspective, typical of a young woman, was very much appreciated. I also accidentally left my trekking poles during a break, but she diligently asked her fellow guides via radio and in person when we passed each other, which was reassuring. Ultimately, my poles were found, and she even went out of her way to deliver them to my hotel. I felt a bit guilty, but I am truly grateful for her warm personality and dedication as a guide. Thanks to her, I have come to love Yakushima and mountain climbing even more. I would love to have her as a guide again.

Regarding the shop, since there was a heavy rain warning on the scheduled day, they called me the night before to inform me of the possibility of cancellation and rescheduled for the next day. The staff was very pleasant and kind.

I’m glad I chose this company. I will use their services again.

縄文杉日帰りに参加した30台の男女2人です。ガイドさんのお陰で最高に楽しめました。若い女性ガイドさんでしたが、とても誠実で丁寧な方でした。時としてベテランであっても個性が強すぎると、押し付けがましくなって、誰のためのツアーかわからなくなりますが、今回のガイドさんは参加者の要望をとてもよく聞いてくれました。コースの重要ポイントのみならず、僕達が気に入ったポイントで時間をとってくれたり、写真をとってくれました。苔が好きだと伝えると、色々な種類の苔を教えてくれました。タイムキーパーとしてもとても良かったです。数分から数十分単位で細かく目標を事前に説明してくれるので、登りやすかったです。下山の時には、視野が開けて景色が堪能できるようにと後方からガイドしてくれました。若い女性ならではの利用者目線での細やかな心配りもとても嬉しかったです。また、ストックを休憩の時に置き忘れてしまいましたが、すれ違った時やトランシーバーなどで、同僚のガイドに何度も尋ねてくれて、頼もしかったです。最終的にストックが見つかって、ホテルまでわざわざ届けに来てくれました。申し訳無い気持ちになりつつ、温かい人柄と仕事熱心なガイドに本当に感謝しています。彼女のお陰で、屋久島や登山がより一層好きになりました。またガイドしてもらいたいなと思いました。
ショップについては、予定していた日に大雨警報が出ていたため、前日夜に中止の可能性がある旨を電話で伝えてくれ、翌日に延期させてくれました。とても感じがよく優しいスタッフでした。
この会社にして良かったです。また利用します。

It was a packed half-day experience! Since the rental included river shoes and a river bag, I was able to participate almost hands-free and felt at ease. The guide's explanations were also interesting. I might consider joining for a full day next time!

半日でも盛りだくさんの内容でした！川シューズと川バックのレンタルがついていたのでほぼ手ぶらで安心して参加しました。ガイドさんの解説も面白かったです。今度は1日参加してもいいかもとおもいます！
