Thank you for your help the other day. Initially, we planned to visit Eiheiji Temple and the Asakura Clan Ruins in Ichijodani using the bus by ourselves. However, there was a forecast predicting heavy snowfall, so we quickly signed up for this tour. It was a great decision! We were able to enjoy sightseeing without worrying about the weather or bus schedules. I was a bit concerned that just viewing from the bus in Ichijodani might not be enough, but we were able to take our time going back and forth on the road while the guide provided explanations, which made us very satisfied. On cold days like this, I especially recommend taking a warm bus and having someone explain everything!

当初、永平寺と一乗谷朝倉氏遺跡を自分たちでバスを利用し見学する予定でした。

In January, I participated in this tour with my toddler. It was a cold day with snow, but the bus was comfortable, allowing both of us to relax.
First, we arrived at the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum before it opened. We were able to enter without much of a wait, so my child was in a good mood as we started our visit. The museum is spacious, and we enjoyed exploring at a leisurely pace. We spent about 30 minutes in the three-screen theater that my child loved, and there was still enough time to carefully choose souvenirs, which made for a perfect time allocation.
Around noon, we headed to the Great Buddha (Echizen Great Buddha). It took about 10 minutes to get there from the museum. It was larger than I expected! However, it might have been a bit too grand for my toddler, who quickly lost interest. With the snow and cold wind in January, exploring outdoors was a bit challenging, but the breaks on the bus were a nice relief.
During the bus ride, the guide shared various information, including:

1月に幼児を連れてこちらのツアーに参加しました。雪も降り寒い日でしたが、バスは快適で親子ともに安心して過ごせました。
まず 福井県立恐竜博物館には、開館前に到着。ほとんど並ばずに入館できたので、子供の機嫌も良いまま見学スタートできました。館内は広いので、全体を“さらっと”見るペースで十分楽しめました。子供が気に入った3面シアターに30分ほど滞在してもお土産コーナーでじっくり選ぶ時間が取れるくらいで、ちょうど良い時間配分でした。
お昼頃には **大仏（越前大仏）**へ。博物館から10分ほどで着きました。予想以上の大きさでした！ただ、幼児には少しスケールが大きすぎたのか、すぐに飽きてしまいました…。1月で雪と冷たい風もあって、屋外での見学は少し大変でしたが、その分 バスでの休憩時間が嬉しかったです。

At first, I felt that an 8 AM meeting time was a bit early, but we arrived just around 9 AM when the museum opened, so it was great to be able to enter right at opening time and make the most of our time there.
Since it was December and the fog was quite thick, making visibility nearly zero, I felt much more at ease being driven by a professional driver rather than driving myself. During the trip, our guide provided information about the characteristics of the Fukui region and pointed out buildings and scenery from the bus.
At the dinosaur museum we visited on the tour, the guide highlighted specific dinosaurs and key points about the Great Buddha, which helped me understand what to look for, making the experience much more enjoyable than if I had gone alone. During our free time, I was able to enjoy the places I recognized from the guide's explanations even more.
Although the dinosaur museum usually requires a reservation, it was convenient to participate since the ticket price and arrangements were included. I think the time allotted for exploring the museum and the Great Buddha is sufficient for a quick overview, but it may not be enough if you want to read all the explanations and take your time to appreciate everything.
Since we disbanded at Fukui Station around lunchtime, I had lunch in the area. The tour was so fulfilling that I felt like it was still early afternoon when I returned, allowing me to make good use of the rest of the day.
In winter, especially with the potential for snow, being driven directly by bus saves time, and I highly recommend it! Considering that the round-trip bus fare, ticket price, arrangement fees, and guide fees are all included, I think it’s very convenient and offers great value for money!

自分だけで行くよりも見どころが分かりました。
自由行動の時にここはガイドさんに教えていただいた所だ！と、より楽しむことができました。
恐竜博物館は通常予約が必要ですが、チケット代や手配も込みなので気軽に参加できて良かったです。
博物館と大仏の自由時間は軽く一周して見る分には足りると思いますが、解説等一つ一つじっくり読んでゆったり鑑賞向けではありません。
お昼頃に福井駅解散だった為お昼は福井駅周辺で食べました。
午前でとても充実したツアーに参加して帰ってきてもまだ午後過ぎかと思ったほどで、午後も時間を有効に使えます。
冬の時期は特に雪の影響もあるのでバスで一直線で連れて行ってもらえて時間も節約でき、おすすめです！
往復のバス代、チケット代、手配代、ガイド代全部込みと考えると参加する側としてはとても楽でコスパが良いと思います！

I visited Eiheiji Temple and the ruins of the Asakura clan in the snow. I was grateful for the thoughtful and timely assistance, such as providing umbrellas for those without them and recommending delicious local eateries near the meeting point when everyone was getting hungry after the tour.
The Asakura clan ruins are magnificent, but there were many things I wouldn't have understood without the guide's explanations, especially since the area is quite large. The bus tour was truly helpful in this regard. Eiheiji Temple in the snow was stunning, but I believe it would have been quite difficult to reach without the bus tour.
It was a wonderfully well-planned tour. Thank you very much!

I highly recommend it for history lovers. The Asakura Museum is relatively new and very beautiful.

On the way back from a hot spring trip with a friend, I learned about this tour and decided to join, hoping to visit Eiheiji and, if time allowed, the Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins.
Despite the limited time, we were able to visit both places we wanted, and it was great that we could leave our luggage and souvenirs on the bus, making it easy to enjoy sightseeing. The bus allowed food and drinks, so I enjoyed eating the sesame tofu soft serve I bought at the souvenir shop in Eiheiji while taking in the scenery from the window.
During the bus ride, the guide provided explanations about the landscapes and local characteristics on both sides, which kept us engaged. They also used handmade captions to clearly explain the highlights of the upcoming sightseeing spots, ensuring we didn't miss any important points during our tour.
It was a bit disappointing that we could only see the Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins from the bus window in December, but I was still able to enjoy the view while listening to the explanations. The guide also shared stories about the cherry blossom trees, so I hope to participate again in a different season.

１２月の参加で一乗谷朝倉氏遺跡は車窓からになってしまったのが残念ではありましたが、説明を聞きながらバスの窓から見ることができました。桜並木の話などもしてくださったので季節を変えてまた参加できたらと思っています。

I participated with the purpose of visiting the Dinosaur Museum. Since all transportation and ticket reservations were taken care of, it was very convenient. I was able to learn more about Fukui's trivia and gourmet food than what is typically found in guidebooks, which felt like a great bonus.
The Echizen Great Buddha, a place not mentioned in any guidebook, is somewhere I definitely wouldn't have gone on my own, as I have no interest in Buddhism or bubble-era architecture. It really felt like a unique experience that only a tour could provide.
The departure and arrival were also at the station, making it easy to understand, and it turned out to be a great trip.

[Feedback] My first trip to Fukui. I chose Heisenji from several sightseeing options. I learned about a bus tour that included the famous Dinosaur Museum and decided to use it.
On the way to the first destination, the museum, which took about an hour, the guide provided fun explanations about Fukui Prefecture and the highlights of the museum, and we arrived in no time. One of the advantages of using this bus tour was that it included museum tickets. Receiving the tickets while waiting in line before the opening allowed for a stress-free entrance. Additionally, since the museum is located far from Fukui Station, a car is essential for visiting. Not having to deal with arranging a car or the hassle of traffic to the parking lot was a significant benefit of the bus tour.
After an hour and a half of exploring the museum, we headed to the highly anticipated Heisenji. I am very grateful to the guide who provided enjoyable explanations about the history of Heisenji during the transfer. On the approach to the main hall, the guide pointed out spots that could easily be overlooked, providing knowledge that one wouldn't gain on an individual trip.
While we were strolling, the guide alerted us that a bear had been spotted in the area two hours earlier, so we had to be cautious during our visit. I was moved by the guide's efforts to communicate not only with the participants but also with other visitors. I believe such actions are not easy to perform.
The guide's relieved expression when everyone gathered safely at the meeting point on the way back was memorable. On the return trip to Fukui Station, we received information about delicious restaurants, and before we knew it, we arrived at Fukui Station. In the end, the loud applause from the participants confirmed that using this bus tour was the right choice.

有名な恐竜博物館とセットになったバスツアーを知り利用する事にした。
最初の目的地、博物館迄
約１時間の道中、ガイドさんが福井県の情報や博物館の観覧ポイントを楽しく説明してくれて、あっという間に到着。
今回のバスツアーを利用した利点の1つが博物館チケット付きと言う事。開館前の行列に並ぶ際にチケットを貰い、ノンストレスで入館出来た事は大きい。また、博物館の立地が福井駅から離れている為、訪れるには車が必須。車を手配する事や駐車場への渋滞を我慢する煩わしい行程が無いのも、バスツアーの大きなメリットであった。
1時間半の博物館観覧を終え、楽しみにしていた平泉寺へ。移動中も平泉寺成り立ちの歴史を楽しく説明してくれたガイドさんには、非常に感謝です。
本殿までの参道では、見過ごしてしまいそうなスポットを教えて貰い、個人旅行では味わえない知識を得られた。
散策中、平泉寺周辺で2時間前に熊が出没したとガイドさんから参加者への注意喚起が来て、気をつけながらの参拝となった。ガイドさんは参加者だけでは無く、一般も参拝者にも声を掛けている姿に感動を覚えた。なかなか出来る行動では無いと思います。
帰りの集合場所に、無事全員揃った時のガイドさんの安堵の顔が印象的だった。
福井駅への帰路も、美味しいお店の情報を教えて貰い、いつの間にか福井駅に到着。
最後、参加者からの大きな拍手が今回のバスツアー利用が間違いでは無かったとの証明になった。

The guide from "Eiheiji Tour Guide" was not only interesting but also very easy to understand, which was great. During the three-day weekend, the parking around Eiheiji was crowded, but I was glad I chose the bus tour with Happy Bus, as there was no need to worry about that. Although there was a small additional fee, the reconstructed townscape of Ichijodani Asakura was also fascinating. Lastly, the Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins Museum we visited at the end was a must-see.

I was satisfied with the efficient visit to the Dinosaur Museum and the Hiraizumi Haku-san Shrine. The Dinosaur Museum takes about 90 minutes to tour, and the Hiraizumi Haku-san Shrine takes about 60 minutes, which might not be enough time to see everything leisurely. However, considering the transportation options, this was the most efficient way to go, and once you get on the bus, they take you everywhere, making it very easy. During the bus ride, the tour guide explained the highlights and provided handmade illustrations to describe the places we were visiting, which was really enjoyable. They also pointed out must-see spots, which increased my satisfaction. I also bought some recommended souvenirs!
I would like to join a different route tour the next time I travel to Fukui.

恐竜博物館は見学時間が90分ほど、平泉寺白山神社は60分ほど、じっくりゆったり見るには少し時間が足りないかと思います。
しかし交通の便を考えると一番効率が良いし、バスにさえ乗ればあとは連れて行ってもらえるのでとても楽でした。またバスの移動中はバスガイドさんが見所を説明してくれたり、手作りのイラストで見学先の説明をしてくれたりと、すごく楽しかったです。見所もあわせて教えてもらえ、絶対見るべきポイントは抑えられたので、より満足度が高まりました。お土産もおすすめしてもらったものを購入しました！
また福井旅行の際は違うルートのツアーで参加したいと思いました。

Seize the day! Since it was my husband's birthday, we decided to take a little trip to Fukui. However, we didn't know much about Fukui. That's when we found Happy Bus. For a couple like us who are beginners in Fukui, this tour was just perfect: "Nice to meet you, Fukui's famous spots tour." And it was nice to meet you too!
The places we visited were the Eiheiji Temple and the ruins of the Ichijodani Asakura Clan. What was really helpful was the easy-to-understand explanations from our guide, filled with love for Fukui.
I think there are times when we visit famous spots while traveling without really listening to the explanations, but the depth of experience you gain from listening can be so different.

We passed in front of the Nara Hotel from Nara Park, and while being soothed by the pleasant voice of our guide, we headed to Ikaruga. We were able to see the exhibits in Horyu-ji, the world's oldest wooden structure from the Asuka period, and Chugu-ji with clear explanations. After the tour, we extended our visit to the Fujinoki Tomb and were satisfied to experience the atmosphere of ancient times.

The weather was a bit disappointing and cloudy, but I was able to experience the wonderful history that is different from Kyoto, known as the ancient capital. The guide's explanations were helpful, and I was able to learn more about the beauty of Japan. The lunch was delicious kamameshi, and in the afternoon, the tea was wonderful, enjoyed alongside the beautiful scenery. It was a one-day tour, but it was a very enjoyable time without any boredom.

I participated on a rainy day. It's very convenient that they take you by bus even in the rain. Along the way, the guide shared highlights and explained various sights, and before I knew it, we arrived at our destination.
At the first dinosaur museum, I had plenty of time to look around and buy souvenirs at the end. The next stop, the Hiraizumi Hakusan Shrine, requires quite a bit of walking to reach the main shrine. It was a bit challenging due to the poor footing from the rain. However, the moss and cedar trees created a beautiful and charming atmosphere.
I heard that there have been many bear sightings this year, and there was even a report of one on the approach the day before, which made me a bit nervous as we proceeded. We also had plenty of time here.
The schedule had us returning to Fukui Station in the early afternoon, allowing us to enjoy the morning sightseeing efficiently. The guide was kind and helpful as well.

Since it was my first trip to Fukui, I decided to use this service to efficiently explore the area by sightseeing bus. I think it would be quite challenging to visit Eiheiji and Ichijodani on your own using public transportation. The bus departs from and arrives at Fukui Station, and a bus guide accompanies you. I made a reservation to visit Tokyo Skytree for my friend's birthday since they had never been there before. My friend lives in Chiba, which is close to Tokyo, but it seems like they never had the opportunity to go. We also reserved a restaurant on the 35th floor, enjoyed the view from the observation deck, had a delicious meal, and then went to Sumida Aquarium.
While Sumida Aquarium isn't very large, it felt like an aquarium for adults, with elaborate and interesting exhibits. The observation deck was filled with foreigners to the point where you might wonder if you were in Japan! However, if that doesn't bother you, I think you can have a fun day there.

すみだ水族館は大きくはないですが、大人向けの水族館という感じで、展示が凝っていて面白かったです。
ここは日本か！？というぐらい、展望デッキは外国人ばかりでしたが、それが気にならなければ一日楽しく過ごせると思います。

I'm glad I was able to buy tickets for Tokyo Skytree and Sumida Aquarium at a good price. I went on a holiday, but thanks to the advance purchase, I was able to enter without waiting in line, and I didn't have to wait long for the elevator either. My 3-year-old grandchild was captivated watching the jellyfish and penguins swim at Sumida Aquarium. It was a fun day.

I wanted to visit the Dinosaur Museum in Fukui, so I made a reservation! It takes quite a bit of time to get there by train from Fukui Station, and since it's a popular spot with a long line even before opening, I was grateful to be taken there by bus.
I'm not particularly a huge dinosaur fan, so a one-and-a-half-hour stay was just right. The guide also introduced some recommended souvenirs exclusive to the museum, which was helpful for choosing.
The other place, Hiraizumi Hakusen Shrine, wasn't somewhere I particularly wanted to go, but since it's difficult to visit multiple places by train in Fukui, it was nice to see it as a bonus.
