Since my husband said he had never been to Horyu-ji, we participated in a half-day bus tour that took us from Kintetsu Nara Station. The bus guide's smooth explanations included many things that we could never have learned on our own during individual travel.

夫が法隆寺には行ったことがないと言うことで、近鉄奈良駅から連れて行ってもらえる半日バスツアーに参加しました。バスガイドさんの流れるような説明は、個人旅行では到底知ることできないものばかりでした。

This time, I went out to review the history of Nara. I planned to walk around the area close to the city center and request a tour for the wider area. We carefully visited essential points, making it a very enriching experience. The guide's explanations were thorough and insightful, which was very educational. However, it seemed quite challenging for them to keep talking during the car rides. Thank you very much.

今回は奈良の歴史のおさらいに出掛けました。
市内中心部に近いエリアは歩いて、広いエリアは今回のツアーにお願いする計画でした。
外せないポイントを丁寧に周っていただき、とても中身の濃いい時間になりました。
ガイドさんのお話もきっちり肝を押さえていて、勉強になりました。
それにしても、車内移動中、ずっとお話していてたいへんそうでしたけど。

I initially signed up for a one-hour tour, but thanks to the driver's consideration, it was extended to two hours, allowing us to take our time. The tranquility of Hayachine Shrine and the fortune slip I drew there have left a lasting impression on me. It's called the Manpuku fortune slip, and it's a cute omikuji made from origami. It was a bit far, but I was very glad the driver took me there. After that, I was also guided to Kappa Buchi and Densho-en, which helped me understand more about Tono. There are still many places I want to visit, and I would love to come back. When that time comes, I look forward to your assistance again.

1時間の予定で申し込みましたが、運転手さんのおはからいで、2時間にして頂き、ゆっくり周ることができました。早池峰神社の静けさやそこでひいたおみくじが心に残っています。万福みくじといい、折り紙で作った可愛いおみくじです。ちょっと遠かったですが、運転手さんに連れて行って頂き、とても良かったです。その後は、カッパ淵や伝承園も案内して頂き、遠野のことがよくわかりました。まだまだ訪れたい所があり、また、来たいと思います。その時は、よろしくお願いします。

I had a fulfilling day even without a car.

First, I went to the Dinosaur Museum. I really enjoyed walking around while looking for the "highlights" shared by the guide, surrounded by an overwhelming number of complete skeletons. There was also a lineup of souvenirs that even adults would want!

Next, I visited the Great Buddha of Echizen, which watches over my hometown. Through the guide's explanation, I learned about the deep feelings of the patron who wanted to "protect the town" when it was built, and its grandeur resonated even more in my heart.

Both places were great stops on my route.

圧倒的な数の全身骨格に、ガイドさん直伝の「見どころ」を探しながら歩きとても楽しめました。大人も欲しくなるお土産のラインナップも！
​続いて、故郷を見守る越前大仏。
ガイドさんの解説で、建立に込められた「街を守りたい」という施主の深い想いを知り、その壮大さがより一層胸に響きました。
​どちらも良いルートでした。

For someone without a car, a half-day tour was truly a blessing. There was still snow remaining on the grounds, and a serene atmosphere typical of a place of training lingered in the air. Walking along the corridors without slippers, I could feel the coldness penetrating through the soles of my feet, but that only added to the pleasantness of the experience.

Looking up at the magnificent ceiling paintings and enjoying the time spent searching for highlights in the main hall and the kitchen area with hints from the guide's explanations and quizzes was also enjoyable. In the midst of the harsh cold, my warm intellectual curiosity was satisfied, allowing me to savor a very luxurious moment.

It was great to learn about the history of the Fukui lords and experience the excavation at Asakura Ichijodani.

車を持たない身にとって、半日で巡れるツアーは本当にありがたい存在でした。
境内にはまだ雪が残り、修行の場らしい凛とした空気が漂っています。スリッパを履かずに歩く回廊は、足裏からしんしんと冷たさが伝わってきますが、それがかえって体感が迫る心地よさでした。
​見事な天井絵を仰ぎ、ガイドさんの解説やクイズをヒントに本堂や庫裏（食事場）の見所を探す時間も楽しかった。厳しい寒さの中に温かな知的好奇心が満たされる、とても贅沢なひとときを味わえました。
朝倉一乗谷は福井の領主の遍歴を学び発掘を体感で見れて良かったです。

Amidst the howling cold wind, I participated in a one-day tour. The guide stood the entire time and shared stories without interruption. It would be quite difficult to explore all of this on my own, but it was very enjoyable to have the tour guide lead us. I am very satisfied. The driver also greeted us every time we got on and off, which felt very nice. Thank you very much!

I wanted to visit Hōryū-ji and Chūgu-ji, but I hesitated due to the poor access. Thanks to participating in this tour, I was able to efficiently sightsee with explanations, which was great. Since I only participated for half a day, I received advice from the guide about transportation options after the tour, allowing me to continue my sightseeing without any issues. 行ってはみたいけれど、アクセスが悪いため、二の足を踏んでいた法隆寺と中宮寺。このツアーに参加したおかげで、効率よく、また説明付きで観光することができて良かったです。半日のみの参加だったので、ツアー終了後の交通手段等で、ガイドさんからアドバイスも頂け、その後の観光も無理なく続けることが出来ました。

We visited with children for the first time in four years. This facility is heavily influenced by the season and weather. Four years ago, it was pouring rain and extremely cold, so this time we made sure to dress warmly. Watching the penguin parade in the rain while wearing a raincoat is quite tough. This time, it was snowing as well, so both my child and I were cold, and the penguins looked cold too.

Moving between buildings and to the restaurant is all done outside. The buildings are close together, so if you think, "We'll only be outside for a little bit," you might be caught off guard, and your child's smile will disappear. If you come prepared with proper cold-weather gear (and sun protection in summer), it’s a facility full of fun.

The staff is very friendly, and the quality of the shows is excellent. The experience workshops were also a big hit with the kids and a lot of fun.

4年ぶりに子連れできました。
とにかく季節や天気にかなり左右される施設です。4年前は大雨ですごく寒かったため、今回はしっかり防寒していきました。レインコートを着て雨の中ペンギンのパレード見るのはなかなか辛いです。今回も雪が降っていたので、自分も子供も寒かったしペンギンさんも寒そうでした。
建物から建物への移動、レストランへの移動、全部外です。
建物同士は近いので「ほんの少ししか外を歩かない」と思って油断すると子供の笑顔が消えます。しっかり防寒（夏は日よけ）対策をして訪れるなら、楽しさ満開の施設です。

スタッフさんは大変親切だし、ショーのクオリティも素晴らしい。
体験工房も子供が喜びとても楽しかったです。

The guide's explanations and the VR footage made it easy to understand. Also, the lunch with persimmon leaf sushi was a great value for the price.

ガイドさんの説明とVR映像があって分かりやすかったです。また、柿の葉寿司の昼食付きはコスパ最高です。

I was able to efficiently explore areas that are difficult to visit alone. The Omiwa Shrine was a place I particularly wanted to go. It was a bit disappointing that the visiting time was short. Despite it being a weekday, there were many worshippers present.

For lunch, I enjoyed the local specialty, persimmon leaf sushi. There were so many places to visit, so it's understandable that the time at each location was limited. The bus guide's explanations were accurate and easy to understand, making it a thoroughly enjoyable day.

個人では行きずらい地区を効率よく回ることができました。
特に大神神社は特に行きたかった場所でした。見学時間が短くてちょっと残念。平日にもかかわらずたくさんの参拝者が来ていました。
昼食は名物の柿の葉寿司をいただきました。見学場所が盛りだくさんなので、一か所の見学時間が短いのは仕方ないですね。
バスガイドさんの説明も的確でわかりやすく、十分に楽しめた一日でした。

The flight this time was subject to conditional operation due to poor visibility at Kagoshima Airport, with the possibility of landing at Fukuoka Airport or returning to Haneda. In the end, we arrived safely, and the weather was not an issue. I am very grateful for the appropriate response after receiving updates from Haneda regarding the situation.

After having lunch at the airport, we had a three-hour tour set to match the hotel check-in time, which made it comfortable without any wasted time. Starting from Karekawa Station, we enjoyed the scenery filled with volcanoes and hot springs at various locations, including Shiohishionsen, Maruo Falls, Ebino Kogen, and Kirishima Shrine. Personally, I liked Maruo Falls, which has hot spring water the most.

I would love to visit Kirishima again in a different season to experience its various aspects, such as delicious water, history, and mythology.

今回搭乗便が鹿児島空港の視界不良のため条件付き運航（福岡空港着or羽田へ引き返しもあり）での出発でした。
結局無事に到着し天気も問題ありませんでしたが羽田から状況を連絡して適切な対応をしていただき大変感謝しております。
空港で昼食後3時間のツアーでホテルチェックイン時間に合わせて設定したので無駄な時間がなく快適でした。
嘉例川駅に始まり塩浸温泉、丸尾滝、えびの高原、霧島神宮ほか至る所に火山や温泉を感じる風景を満喫いたしました。
個人的には温泉水の丸尾滝が一番気に入りました。
美味しい水、歴史、神話の里等様々な側面をみせる霧島に是非また季節を変えて訪れたいと思います。

I usually prefer to navigate on my own using public transportation as much as possible, but this time, considering efficiency, I decided to join this half-day sightseeing bus tour for the first time. The guide was very professional and talked throughout the bus ride, during which I was able to find and purchase some local specialties from Fukui at a souvenir shop.

Unfortunately, it was raining at Eiheiji, but the moss looked incredibly beautiful because of it, which was a nice surprise. The area was larger than I expected, so it was a bit disappointing that we ran out of time.

We only saw the Asakura ruins from the bus, but I had visited there before, so it wasn't an issue for me. I was very satisfied to finally get to visit the museum that I couldn't go to last time. The exhibits were wonderful, and I think it was definitely worth seeing. I would have been even happier if we had a little more time.

Even without a car, I was able to efficiently visit the places I wanted to go, so this experience was quite good in its own way... I would like to use this service again if I have the opportunity.

By the way, I also used the bus to the Dinosaur Museum.

いつもはできるだけ公共交通機関を駆使して、自力で回りたいタイプですが今回効率を考えて初めてこちらの観光半日バスツアーに申し込みました。
ガイドさんはとてもプロフェッショナルな方で、バスの中でずっとお話をされて、その中で出た福井の名産品をお土産やさんで探してゲットしました。
永平寺はあいにくの雨模様でしたが、その分苔がとても美しく見られて良かったです。
思ったよりも広かったので、時間がギリギリになったのが少し残念でした。
朝倉氏の遺跡は車窓から、ですが私は以前そちらは行ったことがあったので問題なし。
その時行けなかった博物館に入れて大満足。
展示が素晴らしく、一見の価値があると思いました。
もう少し時間があればもっと嬉しかったです。

車じゃなくても、行きたい場所を効率よく回ることができるので、これはこれでありだったかな…また機会があれば利用したいと思います。

ちなみに恐竜博物館へのバスも利用させて頂きました。

The meeting time isn't too early, so you can participate even if you don't stay overnight in Nara city. The itinerary is stable, the sightseeing bus company is reliable, and if you get a veteran guide, the explanations flow smoothly—it's an excellent plan all around.

This time, the plan included lunch (after Hōryū-ji and Chūgū-ji, we had kamameshi), and the itinerary was carefully calculated to ensure that we could start eating as soon as we arrived at the lunch venue, perfectly timed with the cooking of the kamameshi (the coordination along the way was impressive).

The guidance for the goshuin (temple stamps) was also perfect (don't forget your goshuin-chō!). Once we entered the temple grounds, we weren't guided at every single location; instead, we had some flexible free time for exploration, allowing us to move at our own pace according to our stamina.

Overall, it's a flawless and outstanding plan!

集合時間もそれほど早くないので、前泊が奈良市内でなくとも参加できます。
安定の行程、安心の観光バス会社、（ベテランのガイドさんに当たれば）淀みなく繰り出される説明、どれを取っても最高なプランです。
今回は昼食（法隆寺→中宮寺終了後　釜めし）付きのプランでしたが、釜めしの炊き上がる時間までキチンと計算された行程（途中の連携が素晴らしいのですね）で、昼食会場に着いたらすぐに食事を始めることができました。
御朱印のご案内も完璧です（御朱印帳をお忘れなく！）
境内に入ってからは全ての場所を付きっきりでガイドをしてもらうわけではなく、臨機応変に自由散策の時間ももらえますので、自分の体力に合わせて巡ることができます。
とにかく、非の打ち所がない最高のプランです！

Horyu-ji Temple is located away from Nara city, and since there were five of us, we used a chartered taxi. We took our time to thoroughly explore each spot, which caused us to go a bit over time, but our driver, Mr. Maruyama, was very accommodating, and we were able to visit all the places we wanted to go. Additionally, he provided detailed guidance inside each temple, which was very educational. Thank you very much!

法隆寺は奈良市内から離れており、５人だったので、貸切タクシーを利用しました。
各スポットをじっくり見たので、少々時間を超過してしまいましたが、乗務員の丸山さんには臨機応変に対応いただき、我々が行きたかったところは全て巡ることができました。
また、それぞれの寺院の中も丁寧にご案内いただき、非常に勉強になりました。

I used this service with a friend. In the morning, they came to pick us up near the hotel. At the tourist spots, they were able to park in taxi-only parking areas, which made it close to our destinations, and it was fun with the driver's guidance. While it's enjoyable to go sightseeing on our own, having someone explain the history and geography deepened our understanding. It had been since my school trip as a child that I visited Nara, so I really enjoyed this adult version of a school trip. Additionally, they responded to our sudden requests and kept us entertained until the last minute, creating great memories. At first, I thought, "Isn't this a bit expensive?" but it was worth every penny! Thank you very much.

I wanted to go to the Dinosaur Museum, so I did some research and signed up for this bus tour. When you book the bus tour, tickets to the Dinosaur Museum are automatically included, which was convenient as I didn't have to arrange anything myself. It was great to have a fun time with the guidance of the bus tour guide. Since I heard that the Great Buddha of Echizen can't be seen during the winter season, I thought it might have been nice to extend our stay at the Dinosaur Museum.

恐竜博物館に行きたかったので、色々調べてこちらのバスツアーを申し込みました。
バスツアーを申し込むと自動で恐竜博物館のチケットもついてくるので、自分で手配する手間がなく便利でした。
バスガイドさんの案内で楽しく過ごせて良かったです。
越前大仏は冬の時期、五重塔がみれないということだったので、恐竜博物館の滞在時間を延ばしてもらってもよかったかな？と思います。

Personally, I felt that the time spent at the Dinosaur Museum was a bit insufficient, but I think this tour is perfect for those who have other plans or are considering sightseeing in various areas.

Fukui Station, including the rotary and the surrounding area, is very clean and well-organized, making it easy to find the meeting place. When the bus arrives, the guide will confirm your reservation, so you need to show your voucher and follow their instructions for seating. The number of participants this time was around 5 or 6 groups of two on a Saturday in mid-February. The bus seemed new, and both the exterior and the seats were very clean. The seats can recline as well.

Once the bus departs on time, the guide greets everyone and shares various stories about Fukui. The guide for this trip was very skilled at storytelling, making the travel time informative and enjoyable. They provide information about the highlights of each sightseeing spot in advance, and you also receive a flyer with the meeting place, time, and emergency contact information, which is reassuring for the free time after the tour.

The Dinosaur Museum is a facility that can be enjoyed by both adults and children. Since there isn't enough time to thoroughly view each exhibit, I recommend identifying the displays you want to see before arrival and ensuring you have time for souvenirs as well. Daishizan Seidaiji (Echizen Great Buddha) is overwhelming in size and number, from the building to the Buddha itself. It is a tourist spot that has only recently started to gain fame, and it is somewhat difficult to reach without a car, but the sightseeing time was just right.

Both the Dinosaur Museum and Daishizan Seidaiji are great places for taking wonderful photos, which is another positive point.

If you were to travel around using trains or other buses, it would take a lot of time and cost, so I believe this tour allows you to efficiently explore Fukui. Additionally, the bus was comfortable, and since you can leave your luggage on the bus while sightseeing, it made the experience easy and enjoyable.

個人的には恐竜博物館での滞在時間が物足りなく感じましたが、このほかに予定がある方や多方面に観光を考えてる型にはぴったりのツアーだと思います。

福井駅はロータリー含め駅周辺が大変綺麗で整頓されているため、集合場所もすぐに分かります。
バスが到着するとガイドさんから予約の確認をされるのでバウチャーを表示し、席を指定されるので指示に従って乗車します。
今回参加人数は2月中旬土曜で、2名組のお客さんが自分含め5、6組でした。
バスは新しいようで、外観も座面もとても綺麗です。リクライニングもできます。
定刻通りバス出発すると、ガイドさんから挨拶と福井について色んなジャンルの話をしてくださいます。今回担当だったガイドさんはお話がとても上手で、移動時間で福井に詳しくなれる有意義な内容でした。
目的地ごと観光先の見所を事前に教えてくれる上、集合場所と時間、緊急連絡先の載ったチラシも頂けるので解散後の自由行動時間内も安心でした。
恐竜博物館は大人も子供も楽しめる施設です。じっくり一つ一つの展示を見るには時間が足りないので、見ておきたい展示がある場合は到着前までに目処をつけておき、お土産の時間も確保しておくことをお勧めします。
大師山清大寺（越前大仏）は建物から大仏まで大きさと数の規模に圧倒されます。近年ようやく有名になりつつある観光地で、車がないとなかなか来れない場所であるのと観光時間もちょうど良い内容でした。
恐竜博物館も大師山清大寺も素敵な写真がたくさん撮れるのも良いポイントでした。

自分で電車や他のバスを利用して回るとなると時間もコストもかなりかかってしまうため、こちらのツアーはかなり効率よく福井を回ることができるんじゃないかと思います。
また、バス内は快適で、荷物もバスに置いて観光ができるため観光も楽々快適でした。

I once again thought that Nara is wonderful. I feel a familiarity with the Yamato language, and Mr. Takahashi feels the same way. The guide's talk was excellent.

The driver was very good, and I had a wonderful memory of my Kirishima sightseeing experience. I had booked a 3-hour tour, but I was able to extend it for an additional hour on the day of the tour. It was great that I could make the reservation online and confirm it through the app. I also wanted to make the most of my time.

You don't have to walk around, so it's really recommended for those who aren't confident in their stamina or have concerns about moving around. 😊

The taxi also provides a guide at tourist spots, so you can enjoy "sightseeing while learning" rather than just looking at things!

I've used various sightseeing taxis across the country, and while some areas don't have much guiding, the driver in Nagoya this time taught me a lot about Nagoya Castle's history and highlights, making it a very enjoyable time. ✨

For those who want to "travel comfortably, efficiently, and have a great time," I really recommend sightseeing taxis. 😊

I had always wanted to visit Eiheiji. I was able to experience a very atmospheric setting, with remnants of the heavy snowfall from a few days ago still lingering.

Even in 2026, the monks, known as unsui, continue their training unchanged for hundreds of years, and our guide provided detailed insights into their daily lives, making it a very meaningful tour. It was a humbling experience. After Eiheiji, we visited the Asakura family's museum. Personally, I would have liked to spend more time at Eiheiji, so the time allocation was a slight downside for me.

いつか行ってみたかった永平寺。数日前の大雪がまだ残るとても風情のある趣を体験できました。
2026年でありながら　何百年も前から変わらない修行を続けている雲水さんたちの日常をガイドさんが詳しく教えてくださり　とても有意義なツアーでした。身が引き締まる思いです。　永平寺のあとは朝倉家の博物館を訪れました。　時間的には永平寺をもっと見たかったので個人的には　時間配分が1つマイナス要素でした。

We stayed overnight at Tojinbo Onsen and then traveled to Fukui Station via the Echizen Railway. It was the perfect tour to join after buying souvenirs and having lunch. Even for individual travelers, if you want to visit historical landmarks, I thought it would be nice to hear the guide's explanations, so I looked for a local tour and decided to join one that was just half a day in the afternoon. It was more wonderful than I imagined. I think the experience and emotions would have been less impactful without the guide.

It's great that we could enjoy sightseeing without worrying about our luggage, and it was also nice to hear local information that you can only get from a local tour.

私達は東尋坊温泉に前泊して、えちぜん鉄道で福井駅まで移動しました。お土産を買ってランチを済ませてから参加するのにちょうど良いツアーでした。個人旅行でも歴史的な観光名所に行くなら、ガイドさんの説明を聞きたいと思い、現地ツアーを探して、午後半日でちょうど良いと思い参加しました。想像以上に素晴らしかったです。ガイドさんがいなかったら面白さや感動も少なかったと思います。
荷物を気にせず観光できるのも良いですし、現地ツアーならではの地元の情報を話していただけたのも良かったです。

I participated in the half-day bus tour "Nice to Meet You, Fukui Sightseeing A" departing from Fukui! This course allows you to visit both the Dinosaur Museum and the Echizen Great Buddha in one go, making it perfect for first-time visitors to Fukui.

The meeting point was easy to find around Fukui Station, and during the bus ride, the guide explained about Fukui and its highlights, making the travel time fly by. I had zero knowledge about Fukui, but I was able to learn a lot about its attractions!

The Dinosaur Museum was impressive, and the life-sized dinosaur skeletons were quite a sight to behold. The way to explore the museum was well explained, so I was able to enjoy it thoroughly without missing anything. There was also ample time for taking photos and buying souvenirs, which made me very satisfied.

After that, we visited the Echizen Great Buddha, which was simply massive and overwhelming. It was unfortunate that we couldn't access some areas due to snow, but I was glad to see the Great Buddha.

Since it was a half-day tour, there was no wasted time, and all the transportation was taken care of by the bus, making it very convenient. I think this is a highly recommended tour for those who want to efficiently visit Fukui's attractions in a short amount of time!

福井発の半日バスツアー「初めましてふくい名所旅A」に参加してきました！
恐竜博物館と越前大仏を一気に回れるコースで、初めて福井に行く人にはぴったりの内容だと思います。

集合は福井駅周辺で分かりやすく、バス移動中はガイドさんが福井についてや見どころを説明してくれるので、移動時間もあっという間でした。福井について知識はゼロでしたが、福井の魅力をたくさん知ることができました！

恐竜博物館は迫力があり、実物大の恐竜骨格はかなり見応えがあります。周り方も解説してもらえたので、余すことなく楽しめました。写真を撮る時間やお土産を買う時間ももしっかりあって満足です。

その後に行った越前大仏は、とにかくスケールが大きくて圧倒されました。雪で一部入れなかったのは残念でしたが、大仏を見ることができてよかったです。

半日ツアーなので時間に無駄がなく、移動も全部バス任せでとても楽でした。短時間で福井の名所を効率よく回りたい人には、気軽に参加できるおすすめのツアーだと思います！

I had the best photo shoot with amazing shots, and I received plenty of explanations during the tour. It was the best trip to Nara that I will always remember. I was able to visit the famous spots in Nara efficiently without rushing. I think it's difficult to cover everything in one day on your own. The bus guide and the driver were very accommodating, and their explanations were detailed, so I highly recommend it! There were also about 5 or 6 solo travelers!

For one person or a few, the cost performance is definitely good. I was originally interested in both the Dinosaur Museum and the Echizen Great Buddha, and I found them to be really great when I actually visited. I can recommend them to everyone.

I participated in early January. I was really glad to join the tour because I was quite anxious about driving on snowy roads. The duration of the tour was just right. It's definitely more cost-effective than arranging it myself! If I have the opportunity to visit again, I will definitely want to participate.

There is a lawn on the rooftop where you can also enjoy desserts. The view was great and it was the best. The aquarium was very crowded, so we had to wait in line to see the fish in the tanks... The kids couldn't wait, which was a bit of a problem.

Thank you for your help the other day. Initially, we planned to visit Eiheiji Temple and the Asakura Clan Ruins in Ichijodani using the bus by ourselves. However, there was a forecast predicting heavy snowfall, so we quickly signed up for this tour. It was a great decision! We were able to enjoy sightseeing without worrying about the weather or bus schedules. I was a bit concerned that just viewing from the bus in Ichijodani might not be enough, but we were able to take our time going back and forth on the road while the guide provided explanations, which made us very satisfied. On cold days like this, I especially recommend taking a warm bus and having someone explain everything!

先日はお世話になりました。
当初、永平寺と一乗谷朝倉氏遺跡を自分たちでバスを利用し見学する予定でした。
ところが大雪になるかもしれない予報が出てしまい、急遽こちらのツアーを申し込みました。大正解！天気やバスの時刻を心配せず安心して観光できました。一乗谷では車窓からの見学だけで物足らないかな心配でしたが、ゆっくり道を往復ながら、ガイドさんが説明してくださったので充分満足できました。
