「本格型紙コース」は、膨大な種類の型紙から好きなものを選ぶことができます。わたしは、風呂敷用の型紙の一部を使用させていただきました。柄の難易度や配置など、快く相談にのってくれます。基本的に、体験者の希望が叶うようにアドバイスをしてくれるので、世界に一つだけの満足のいくものが作れると思います。自分なりのペースで3時間かかりましたが、最後まで見守ってくださいました。
体験後に、帯揚げ全体を希望の地色に染めて、自宅まで送ってくださいました。地色が入ると一段と美しくて、大感激！実際に使うのが楽しみです。丸益西村屋の皆さま、ありがとうございました。

京都に来たので何か伝統工芸に関する体験をしたいと考え申し込みしました。
本格体験の風呂敷は私一人だけでしたが、スタッフの皆さんはとても親切にしてくださいました。
よく「大丈夫ですか？」「どうですか？」と様子を見に来てくださり、他にも体験の方はいましたが放っておかれることがなく安心して集中できました。
筆や絵の具が乾いていないかも気を配ってくださり優しい方ばかりです。


最後に個人的に一番心に残ったことを書きたいと思います。
年配の男のスタッフさんが、私が気がつかない間に絵の具を意図しない箇所につけてしまった時に「ならここも隠してしまいましょう」と全ての工程が終わっていたにも関わらず、型紙を用意してくださりました。「台無しにしてしまった」と落ち込んでいましたが、その方の機転のおかげで可愛いワンポイントを入れられてとてもありがたかったです。

閉店ギリギリまでかかってしまいましたが世界に一つだけの特別な風呂敷を作れました。また今度は別の物を作りに伺いたいと思います。

楽しい時間をありがとうございました。

やってみたかった！！京友禅染め体験

一人旅でホテルから歩いていけることもあったので、ちょうどよい体験ツアーがあるのものだと予約しました。
御池通りを少し南に、雰囲気のある町屋造りの建物を入っていくと、工房が。
修学旅行生もたくさんきていてにぎやかに絵付けしていました。
私は個人なので、静かな町屋の2階へ。町屋造りの建物をうまくリノベーションして、気分は上がるばかり。
今回、帯揚げに描きましたが、綿エコバッグやポーチ、スマホケースなどいろいろと種類がありました。さらに、型紙！！これがまた悩んで困るほど種類があり、自分の予定したものとは違う『ねこ』型紙に一目ぼれ。
型紙は３つあり、位置がずれないようにマステを２か所固定し、さらに針で打って、はけでクルクル塗っていきます。コツをつかむまではうまくぼかせず、どっかり色が乗ってしまったなあと。見本が一応あり、いかにそのように色を載せるのかがむつかしかったです。集中しながらも楽しく、あっという間の３時間でした。最後に布の染色カラーを決めて、１か月後に郵送されるtのこと。
どんな出来上がりとなるのか、今からとても楽しみです。

1人でいきました。
とても丁寧に教えて頂き、何も分からないなりに、見本見ながら、やり方教わりながら、やっぱり他の投稿にもあるように５時間ほどかかりました。雑な性格のわたしでもそれだけかかるので、几帳面な方は一日中か、それ以上かかると思います。
中々時間のかかる作業ですが、終わるときの達成感は素晴らしいですね♪
とても集中して、出来たので、最初出来るか心配でしたが、できてホッとしました^ - ^また利用したいと思います。

  • 今回は緑！雲が難しい。

本物の真珠！

いつも旅先では何かしらの体験をする事にしています。今回はせっかく伊勢志摩まで来たので真珠のアクセサリーが作れるんだ！と予約しました。少し小ぶりな貝からなかなかの大きさの真珠が出てきます！調子に乗って3個(^^)一つは娘のイニシャルネックレスにして二つで自分用のピアスにして頂きました。加工代はお品によって違います。よく見ると少しずつ違う所が天然の良さですよね。娘も今までのお土産で一番喜んでくれました。いつかまた家族で体験出来たらいいなと思っております。この度はご親切にして頂きありがとうございました。

  • 完成です！ネックレスの方は思っていたより真珠が大きく存在感大！

  • 本当に出てきます。真っ白で綺麗✨

  • 貝は自分で選びます。なるべく大きいのをと欲ばってします。

Half Day Chopstick Making and Kyoyuzen Dyed Chopstick Case in Kyoto

Loved being able to do something crafty in Kyoto! While the instructors didn’t speak english, there were English instruction handouts and it was still a great experience. You get to choose what shape of chopstick you want to make and then you paint a case for your new chopsticks. I would say while it wasn’t hard, it was still challenging enough to be fun for anyone to participate

Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto!

お友達の方参加。ちょっとパフェは難しかったみたいだけど、先生に手伝ってもらって完成しめした、天ぷらはほんとにそっくりでした、またお寿司やピザなどで挑戦していきたいと思います。最後にお土産でもらえた先生特製のアイスが可愛かった。

日本画体験　京都旅行の思い出に絵はがきをつくろう＜日本画体験処 絵まき＞

絵筆の扱いに苦労し、あっという間に時間が過ぎました。

下書きがあったので、レイアウトに苦労せずに色付けが出来ました。
下地が白だったので色を重ねる時に水の加減が非常に難しかったです。パレット上で絵具を溶かすのは、時間がかかり水分が必要になるので、どうしても色が薄くなりがちなのでチューブ式で少しずつ出るタイプだと時間の節約になると思いました。集中できたので時間が短く感じました。有難うございました。

オリジナルの年賀状にしていただけましでしょうか？手描きの真心が伝わる素敵な作品に仕上げて頂きありがとうございます。
水分調整が何よりも難しい点ではありますが、四角い絵具は古くこら使われている顔彩という絵具です。
最近ではチューブに入った日本画絵の具も出て来ている様なので、検討したいと思います。

Traditional Bamboo Basket Weaving Experience

This workshop was my first experience in weaving.
I made a Shikainamihana basket and it wasn’t difficult.
The host had a good level in English and was patient in showing and explaining all the steps.
It didn’t even take too long to make ! It took about an hour.
This workshop is fine for beginners and totally ok if you speak English!
I recommend going to the Take No Ko shop for the appointement

真珠の珠出し体験 自分で取り出した真珠で小物やアクセサリーづくり ＜伊勢市＞by菊池パール

行くならシステムを理解した上で！！

来訪したところ、真珠は1人3個まで貝を選べると説明される。1人3個×2人で6個の貝を取る。真珠を取り出す。取り出した6個全てに対しアクセサリーの金具を選ぶよう言われる。（一個に対する金具代が2500円位～）真珠を取り出してしまっていたので、渋々全ての真珠分の金具を選択。しめて23000円。2人で予算6000円くらいのつもりでいったので、感覚としてはハメられた感じです。取り出した全ての真珠に対し金具の購入を迫るなら、最初に必ずそのことを説明するべきです。知ってれば最初から２つだけ選んでます。残念な印象だけ残り、嫌なこと思い出すので、買った真珠さえ見たくなくなりました。仕組みを知ってたら行かなかったし、これから行く方は必ず最初にシステムの説明を求めて、納得したうえで参加することをお勧めします。私のような残念な気持ちになって欲しくないので、基本はお勧めしません。他にも同様のサービスしてる会社さんはあります。

We entered the weaving store, then the teacher led us back into the garage/workshop.

My wife and I had chosen different products to make. Mine was a bit more difficult (ebikago) while my wife's (yorozukago) was simpler and took 30 minutes less to complete. My wife was pleased with the product

Traditional Bamboo Basket Weaving Experience

My sister, an American basket weaver with a great deal of experience in weaving other materials, and I, a long-term resident of Japan with no previous experience, took the course. We were the only two students that day and both had a great time. The young woman who instructed us was friendly and patient with us, taking us one step at a time through the process of making the rather complex but beautiful Shikainami basket. We both ended up with nice-looking baskets. The instructor cheerfully answered my sister's questions about preparing the bamboo and agreed to prepare 200 strips for my sister to take home with her a week later. All-in-all, a very satisfying experience well worth the price.

Half Day Glassblowing and Crafting Experience in Tokoname

although it was taught in Japanese, the instructor provided step by step instructions of what was going to take place. The instructor first showed what to do and then assisted with a practice run. he then stepped back and allowed us to perform the steps entirely on our own. we were blown away with the cups that we made and are extremely happy with the entire experience. we definitely recommend this fun workshop

Traditional Saori Weaving Experience near Zenkouji Temple in Nagano

First time experiencing a loom and it was awesome!

We travel all over Japan, trying different workshops and this was well worth it! The instructors were polite and very patient with us. The provided detailed explanations and helped you through the entire process. They did not do the work for you but instead, told you how to accomplish things. My wife could not stop smiling the entire time because it was such a wonderful experience. If ever in Nagano, this is a must do experience!

Fun Sumie Ink Painting Lesson in Tokyo with English Speaking Instructor

A super fun introduction to Sumie Ink painting!

The whole class was a blast! We learned about the origins of the painting, different techniques, and other aspects of Japanese culture.

The instructor, Yuta, was a very knowledgable, funny man, and a fantastic teacher! Eager to share said knowledge, and make the class as fun as possible.

The class itself, was super chill, and relaxing, as sumie should be. The gallery is full of Yuta's father's paintings, and helps create a calm, and beautiful environment to paint in!

If you're in Tokyo, then defiantly give this class a try! It' so much fun. The gallery is in a great area too, perfect for book lovers.

Fun Sumie Ink Painting Lesson in Tokyo with English Speaking Instructor

The Studio location was easy to find using details provided.
From the moment I arrived I was welcome, the class and lesson was prepared.

The teacher was knowledgeable in the history of Sumi’e; his English was excellent and he engaged my interest, the process was explained well and he gauged well my ability.

I left the lesson pleased with what I had learnt and excited to continue learning more and experimenting with Sumie.

I would definitely recommend this class as a must do cultural experience:

Value for money, honestly I would happily have paid more, the ability and experience of the teacher was excellent.

They had all the instructions in English so it was super easy to follow and the staff were all so lovely. It does take a while to get the hang of. All up it took 2 and a half hours to make. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is sick of looking at temples and shrines.

I arrived at the studio and was welcomed by a staff member. During my time there I was pleased with the oversight of the staff -- and truly enjoyed my experience. The helpfulness, the professionalism and the interest of the staff provided a supported experience which I found enormously satisfying. This is a great craft experience and I highly recommend it. I was directed to a local supplier and bought the materials necessary to do this again

職人技の体験！

小学生＆年長の子供2人連れで申し込みました。
当日は我々一組だけで貸し切り状態。パフェを作った時は子供たちがテンションMAXに。他にも天ぷらやレタスなどなど。混んでいる時はできないアイスクリームのサンプル作りも見せてもらえて、すごーい！おもしろーい！の連続。子供たちよりも奥さんが一番喜んでいたような…。本当に大満足の体験でした！

Traditional Japanese Art Lesson

Good time doing art. Great for all levels

My partner and I are fairly experienced in painting and wanted to learn the traditional Japanese way of painting. It was in between using gouche and watercolour. Our teacher was very kind and it was set in a quieter part of town in a home business. There were lots of beautiful art done by our teacher around. It was nice to meet another artist. The illustrations were already drawn for us to paint with very Japanese style designs, there were many to choose from and all were gorgeous. We had a really nice time. Some afternoon tea was provided and a sweet potato :)

初めての友禅染めでした。親切に教えもらいました。ただ、時間が足りなくなりました。最後まで仕上げることが出来なかったことが残念でした。ただ、メインの柄は、染めることができたので良かったです。
機会があれば、もう一度、トライしたです。
