The round trip takes about three and a half hours (with a 15-minute break at the parking area), and you can decide whether to get off at Taisho Pond or the Kamikochi Bus Terminal. The stay in Kamikochi is three and a half hours. The restaurants around Kappa Bridge can get crowded, so if you're walking from Taisho Pond, it's better to arrive early to enjoy the area. However, going back and forth to Myojin Pond might be a bit tight.

I went during the Obon holiday.
It was close to 35 degrees, but the bus was cool and comfortable.

みんな時間厳守ですし、ギャーギャー騒ぐ人は居なくてマナーが守られていました。ちょっと一日暇があったら予約してみても良いと思います。
