I participated in the Obon summer event. The scenery and the boatman's stories were amazing! However, it was too hot... Next time, I want to join in a different season. ^ ^

景色も、船頭さんのお話も最高でした！
だだ、暑すぎて…
今度は季節をかえて参加したいです^ ^

It was absolutely amazing!! The boatman was very entertaining, and the two hours flew by! It was summer, but it was cool! It might be thrilling and fun when the water level is high!

とにかく最高でした！！船頭員さんもとても面白くあっという間の2時間でした！夏でしたが涼しかったです！また水量が多いとスリリングで面白いかも！

I went out with my elementary school daughter and our family of three.
It was my daughter's first time rafting, and we were blessed with good weather, enjoying the 100-minute journey.
The scenery and the large rocks were impressive, and we were captivated by the beauty of the clear river.
As we approached Arashiyama, we got excited in the final stretch while snacking on mitarashi dango and grilled squid from a vendor boat we were sailing alongside.

小学生の娘と家族3人で出かけました。
娘は初めての川下りで、天候にも恵まれ100分ほどの行程を楽しみました。
景観や大岩も見応えあり川も透明度高く美しさに魅了されました。
嵐山に近づいた時に売店船と並航してみたらし団子やイカ焼を求めてつまみながらの終盤に盛り上がりました。

This time, I visited Shirakawa-go in the summer. Next time, I definitely want to see it illuminated in winter. The guide, Mr. Kuroda, was also excellent. I had a great time!

This time, it was a leisurely 1 hour and 40-minute river descent, and I enjoyed it without getting splashed too much. I want to go again.

今回はゆるやかな1時間40分の川下りだったのですがあまり水も掛からずゆったりと楽しかったです。また行きたいです。

I had a feeling that going to Shirakawa-go would be quite challenging, but I learned that there are bus tours from Kanazawa Station that make it easy to visit, so I decided to join immediately.
On the bus ride there, I received a local map and various pieces of information, which I think helped me to tour efficiently.
The time spent at the site, including lunch, is about two and a half hours, but if you take your time to explore, it might not be enough. I heard there was a campaign at a certain café offering a 50 yen discount on all drinks, but I don't think there will be time to relax and enjoy tea.
I participated in the summer this time, but I thought it must be incredibly beautiful to visit in the winter when the snow is piled up.

白川郷へ行くのは結構大変なんだろうなとなんとなく思っていたのですが、金沢駅から気軽に行けるバスツアーがあると知り即参加を決めました。
行きのバスの中で現地の地図もいただき、色々と事前情報をいただけたので効率よく観光できたと思います。
現地滞在時間は昼食時間も含めて2時間半ぐらいあるのですが、じっくり見て回っていたら足りないぐらいです。某カフェでドリンク全品50円引きのキャンペーンをやっていたようですがゆっくりお茶している時間はないと思います。
今回は夏の参加でしたが、雪の積もった冬に来るとさぞかし美しいのだろうなと思いました。

The water level was good, so it was very thrilling and fun. The boatman's stories were enjoyable, and the hour and a half flew by. Next time, I want to ride during the autumn foliage season. It became a wonderful memory.

水量もあったのでとてもスリルがあり楽しかったです。船頭さんのお話も楽しくて1時間半あっとゆうまでした。次回は紅葉の季節に乗りたいです。とてもいい思い出になりました。

I participated with my children. I was worried whether my elementary school and preschool kids would enjoy it, but in the end, it was incredibly fun. Since only authorized vehicles can enter, getting on and off is easy, making walking around comfortable. I was also informed about the highlights for free exploration. We were healed by the peaceful nature, enjoyed delicious snacks, and the kids had a great time. The guide was kind and the stories were interesting. Thank you very much.

子連れで参加しました。小学生と保育園生が楽しめるか心配でしたが、結果、ものすごく楽しかっです。許可車だけが入れるところで乗降できるので、歩くのも楽です。自由散策の見どころも教えてもらいました。のどかな自然に癒され、おいしい買い食いしつつ、子どもたちも思いっきり楽しんでいました。ガイドさんも優しく、お話も面白かったです。ありがとうございました。

I participated alone. It was my first bus tour in life, and I had some anxiety, but the guide and the driver kindly spoke to me, allowing me to feel at ease. Visiting Shirakawa-go and Takayama in one day was very luxurious and fulfilling. The scenery was beautiful, and I had a great time. Additionally, during the bus ride, they shared information that wasn't available in books or online, making the journey enjoyable as well. It became the best memory. Thank you very much.

人生初のバスツアーで、不安もありましたが、ガイドの方や運転手の方が温かく声を掛けてくださり、安心して過ごすことができました。
白川郷や飛騨高山に、1日で回れるのも、とても贅沢で充実していました。風景が美しく、楽しかったです。
また、バスの中では、本やネットには載ってないような情報をお話してくださり、移動中も楽しめました。
最高の思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。

The tour guide and the driver were both very pleasant, and you could naturally feel their spirit of hospitality. The conversations on the bus were comfortable and just right. I was glad to hear many interesting stories that aren't found in the guidebooks. The time spent at each location was neither too long nor too short, making for a fun day. Thank you very much.

添乗員さんはもちろん、運転手さんも感じがよく自然とおもてなし精神がでてる感じでした。
バスの中での話も話し方も、程よく心地よかったです。各地のガイドブックには載っていないへーという話も沢山聞けてよかったです。各場所での滞在時間も余りすぎず足りなすぎずちょうどよく、楽しい一日になりました。ありがとうございました。

It felt amazing to ride on a bus without a roof on a windy day while driving on the highway. It was great to see Tokyo Tower from various angles and to tour famous places like the Imperial Palace and Ginza by bus. I was with my child, and we had a lot of fun. It was refreshing since it was cloudy in late August. I would like to use a different route next time.

屋根がないバスでかぜが強い日で、高速道路を走ってるときは最高に気持ちよかった。
東京タワーをいろんな角度から見たり、皇居、銀座など有名な場所をバスで見廻るにはとても良かった。子供と一緒に乗り、楽しんでました。
８月後半で曇りだから爽快でした。
次回も違うコースで利用したいです。

I went on August 21. The boatman's stories were fun! It had rained until the day before, so the water level was high and there were waves, which made it enjoyable. I was a bit worried about the weather, but I used an umbrella and it was hot. The mitarashi dango that came by boat at the end was too delicious! Haha, there was greenery, and it was soothing. I want to see beautiful scenery with cherry blossoms and autumn leaves! I also want to take the trolley train again!

8月21日に行ってきました。船頭さんのお話楽しかったです！前日まで雨で水量多くて波もあって楽しく乗れました、天気も気になりまたが日傘して暑いぐらいでした。最後にボートで売りにきてくれたみたらし団子美味しすぎました！笑　緑もあって癒やされました。桜、紅葉と綺麗な景色みてみたいです！トロッコ列車もリベンジしたいです！

Since it was a reservation made in advance, I just had to show the printed paper and fill out one form to complete the check-in. It was simple.

I was worried about the weather, and it poured rain during the river descent and after we got off, but it was fun in its own way. The banter with the boatman was enjoyable, and although it was said to last about an hour and forty minutes, it felt like no time at all. I would love to experience it in a different season as well.

事前予約だったので、印刷した紙を見せ用紙を１枚記入で受付終了。
簡単でした。
お天気が心配でしたが、川下りの途中と降りてからが土砂降りでしたが、それはそれで楽しかったです。
船頭さんの掛け合いも楽しくて、１時間４０分ほどといわれましたが、あっという間で、違った季節も行ってみたいと思えました。

As a summer vacation memory, I invited a female acquaintance and her children to experience the Hozu River boat ride in Kyoto. The weather forecast at the time predicted rain, but it didn't rain much, and the water level was reportedly very good, about ten times a year. It was the first time for both the acquaintance and the children to go down the river, and they were very pleased with the boatman's calls, conversations, and the thrilling steering. They mentioned that they would like to come again if given the chance. They returned with smiles and were very satisfied. Thank you very much!

夏休みの思い出として、、知人の女性とその子どもたちの旅行として、京都保津川下りを考えて招待しました。
当時の天気予報は雨となってましたが、それほど雨も降って無くて、年に10回ほどのとても良い水位だったそうです。
知人の女性も子どもたちも、川下りは初めてだったそうで、船頭さんのかけ声や会話、それにスリル有る操縦に、知人の女性と子どもたちは大変喜んでました。
機会が有れば、また、来たいと言ってました。
笑顔で帰れて、大変満足してます。

It was my first time in Shirakawa-go, and it was even more wonderful than I expected. Moreover, I initially had no interest in Gokayama, but after learning from the guide that the Emperor had stayed there and that it has three Michelin stars, I realized it truly offers a different world compared to Shirakawa-go. It felt like I had entered a different dimension, making it an incredibly enjoyable trip. The guide also provided helpful information about souvenirs, which was greatly appreciated. I definitely want to visit again.

初めての白川郷でした。思った以上に素敵な場所でした。そして何より五箇山も最初は興味なかったのですが、天皇様が泊まった事やミシュランの三つ星とガイドさん教えてもらって、確かに白川郷とは違う世界が広がっていました。なんだか異次元の世界に来た様な気分で最高に楽しい旅となりました。お土産情報などガイドさんが教えて下さりとっても助かりました。またぜひ行ってみたいです。

I wanted to visit Shirakawa-go and Takayama, so I included them in my trip to Kanazawa. I participated alone, but Mr. Kuroda provided various information about recommended photo spots and dango shops, allowing me to fully enjoy my time without feeling bored. The other participants were also kind, and I had a great time chatting with them. I'm looking forward to eating the shiso monaka I bought as a souvenir! Thank you very much!

白川郷と飛騨高山に行ってみたくて、金沢旅行に組み込み参加しました。1人での参加でしたが、黒田さんが現地のおすすめ写真スポットやお団子屋さんなど、様々な情報を教えてくださり、時間を持て余すことなく充分楽しめました。他の参加者の方も優しく、一緒にお話しできて楽しかったです。お土産で買った紫蘇最中を食べるのが今から楽しみです！

I had a great time efficiently touring Shirakawa-go and Gokayama in just one day. Our guide, Mr. Kuroda, provided very clear explanations, and his simultaneous interpretation for participants from abroad was also easy to understand and very skilled. In Shirakawa-go, we had plenty of time to explore and enjoy at a leisurely pace. It was a truly enjoyable experience.

一日を使って効率的に白川郷、五箇山を周遊できてとても楽しかったです。ガイドの黒田さんの説明も大変わかりやすく、外国から参加された方への同時通訳もわかりやすくとても手慣れていらっしゃいました。白川郷では時間もしっかりとあり、ゆっくり見て楽しめます。とても楽しいひと時でした。

I participated with a friend. The boatman's talk was entertaining, and the reactions of the other guests made it even more enjoyable, so we had a great time for the full two hours.

I heard it was a day with low water levels, but my friend, who was sitting at the end of the second row, ended up with his pants completely soaked. (We laughed and agreed that it was a good idea to wear clothes that could get wet! It was even wetter than at Jurapa!)

At 4,100 yen, it's not exactly cheap for students, but I'm glad I experienced it! I would love to use this service again.

友人と2人で参加しました。船頭さんのトークが面白く、また同乗していた他のお客さんの反応が良かったこともあり、2時間目いっぱい楽しめました。
水量は少ない日とのことでしたが、2列目の端に座っていた友人はズボンがビジョビジョになっていました。(濡れてもいい服装にして大正解！ジュラパより濡れる！と笑い合いました)
4100円、学生からすると決して安くはないですが体験して良かったです！また利用させて頂きたいです。

Since I had made a reservation in advance on this site, I only needed to check in on the second floor of the boarding area. It's definitely smoother if you bring the printed reservation. The cost was 4,100 yen, and the boarding time varies depending on the river's flow, but this time it was about 1 hour and 40 minutes. I want to go again in the fall.

前もってこのサイトで予約していたので乗船場の2階で受付をするだけでした。必ず予約した印刷物を持って行った方がスムーズです。4100円のコスバもよく川の流れによって乗船時間が違いますか゛今回の乗船は1時間40分くらいでした。秋にもう一度行きたいです。

I had a great time, but the seat I was in was right in the middle, making it difficult to hear the talks from both the guide in front and the one behind. Also, since the boat was full, sitting in a narrow seat for a long time was a bit tough on my back and bottom. However, the river ride itself was very enjoyable, so I would like to go again!

とても楽しかったのですが、座った席が丁度真ん中で前の船頭さんのトークと後ろの船頭さんのトークが一番聞こえにくい場所で楽しみきれませんでした…
また、満席での川下りだったので、長時間狭い席に座り続けるのは若干腰とお尻がキツかったです。
川下り自体はとても楽しかったのでまた行きたいと思います！

I participated in mid-August 2022. I traveled by train from Torokko Saga Station to Torokko Kameoka Station, and then immediately took a bus to the boarding area. At the boarding area, I exchanged the tickets I purchased through VELTOLA, and I thought I would have to wait about an hour until 2 PM, but on the day I participated, my name was called relatively quickly (in about 20 minutes) and I was able to board.

The interactions among the three boatmen were entertaining and educational, the scenery was beautiful, and we cheered at the occasional rapids, making the 1 hour and 40 minutes fly by! (I heard that on days with fast currents, it takes less than an hour!) I definitely want to participate again in a different season! (The autumn foliage period must be a spectacular sight!) My 3-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter really enjoyed the ever-changing scenery.

Since we were dropped off right in front of Togetsukyo Bridge, I think it's a great course to explore Arashiyama and then return to Kyoto City by the Arashiyama Electric Railway. Thank you to the boatmen for a wonderful time!

2022年8月中旬の参加でした。トロッコ嵯峨駅からトロッコ亀岡駅までトロッコで移動して、すぐに出ていたバスで乗船場に移動。乗船場の受付でVELTOLAで購入していたチケットを引き換えて、14時まで約1時間待つのかと思いきや、参加した日は割とすぐ(20分くらい)名前を呼ばれて乗船できました。
船頭さんたち3人の掛け合いも面白く、勉強になり、景色も良く、時々現れる急流に歓声をあげながらあっという間の1時間40分でした！(流れの早い日は1時間弱でついてしまうそうです！)季節を変えてまたぜひ参加したいです！(紅葉の時期もきっと絶景のはず！)3歳の息子も、6歳の娘もどんどん変わる景色をとても楽しんでいました。
渡月橋の目の前で降ろして頂けるので嵐山で観光して、嵐電で京都市内に戻るのが良いコースだと思いました。船頭さん方、楽しいひと時をありがとうございました！

The three boatmen were very enjoyable to talk to, and the 16 km, 1.5-hour experience flew by. Along the way, we also spotted creatures like herons, soft-shelled turtles, and other animals. The dumplings and cucumbers we ate on the boat were also fantastic.

船頭さんたち3人が、とても楽しくトークしてくださり、あっという間の16km、1時間半の体験でした。途中、アオサギやスッポン、かめ等の生き物たちも見かけました。舟で食べるお団子やきゅうりも最高でした。

I took a ride on the trolley train and experienced the Hozu River boat ride! I went with my two sons, who are a university student and a high school student. The boatman was fun to talk to, and the river's current was stronger than I expected. My sons were able to enjoy nature and the scenery. It seems that the seating arrangement on the boat changes depending on the number of people, so I wanted to sit in the very front, but we ended up in the second row from the back, which was a bit disappointing. However, I understand that it was arranged that way for the balance of the boat.

トロッコ列車に乗って、保津川下り体験してきました！大学生、高校生の息子2人と私三人で行ってきました！船頭さんも楽しく話してくれて、川の流れも思っていたより勢いもあり息子たちも自然の経験ができ景色も楽しむことができました。船に乗る際に人数によって座る座席が変わるようなので、1番前に乗りたかったのですが三人は後ろから2列目となったことが残念でしたが、船のバランスを考えてそうなっているという事でした。。。

I wasn't sure how to explore Shirakawa-go for the first time, but I appreciated the knowledge about Shirakawa-go, the recommended spots, and souvenirs you shared. I'm really glad I participated in the tour for my first visit to Shirakawa-go!

初めての白川郷でどのように回ったらいいかとかイメージがわきませんでしたが、白川郷についての知識やオススメスポット、お土産を教えて頂き初めての白川郷をツアーで参加して本当に良かったです!

The boatman was very good at chatting, and I had a great time! I could also see that he was quite attentive to safety even amidst his light-hearted talk. I would like to visit again during the winter snow scenery!

船頭さんがとてもおしゃべりの上手な方で、めいっぱい楽しませていただきました！
またそんな軽妙なトークの中にも、安全面にかなり気を遣われているのが窺えました。

I had a very enjoyable and great experience! Before getting on, it was pouring rain, and I was worried if we would actually go out. However, by the time we boarded, the rain had stopped, and we were told to wear raincoats.

I put on the raincoat and got ready to board! Without a roof, it was incredibly thrilling. Usually distant signs, traffic lights, buildings, and street trees were right there... I was having so much fun while shouting, "We're going to hit something!"

I think if you go in with the mindset of getting wet, you'll have an amazing time! It felt like Splash Mountain! However, because the rain was so heavy, I couldn't hear the guide's voice at some points, which was a bit disappointing. I thought it would be nice to have speakers along the way, even if not for every seat.

If I have the chance again, I would definitely like to ride on a sunny day. Thank you for the valuable experience that only the rain could provide!

とても楽しく、いい体験ができました！
乗る前は大雨が降っていて、果たしてこれは走るのか！？と不安を抱えて集合場所に向かいました。
乗る時は雨が止んでくれて、レインコートを着て乗車という事でした。
頭からレインコートを被り、いざ乗車！
屋根がないだけあって迫力満点です。普段遠くにある看板、信号、ビル、街路樹がすぐそこに…。
当たっちゃうー！と騒ぎながら楽しむことができました。
濡れる気満々でいけばめちゃめちゃ楽しめると思います！　気持ちはスプラッシュマウンテン!
ただ、雨が強かったのもあって途中でガイドしてくれるお姉さんの声が聞こえなくなってしまったのが残念。
一席一席とまでは言わずとも、途中にスピーカーがあってもいいなと思いました。

また機会があれば今度は是非晴れた日に乗りたいと思います。
雨だからこその貴重な体験をありがとうございました。

Even on the first boat of the day, the sunlight can be quite strong, so I recommend boarding early during the summer. Also, when the water level is high, quite a bit of water can come into the boat, so I suggest wearing sports sandals. While clothes can dry in the sun, shoes tend to take longer to dry. Spending the afternoon of your trip with wet shoes can be quite tough. However, I think having enough movement to get wet makes the ride more enjoyable.

朝一便でもかなり日差しが強いので、夏場は早めの乗船をおすすめします。また、水量が多いと船内にけっこう水が入ってくるので、足元はスポーツサンダルをおすすめします。服は日差しで乾いても靴は乾きにくいので。濡れた靴で旅の午後を過ごすのはなかなかキツイです。でも濡れるくらいの動きがあった方が乗っていてたのしいと思います。

We rode together as a family. The boatman's stories were interesting, and it was our first experience of river rafting, which was fun. The convenience store experience on the boat was also amusing.
We had a reservation, but perhaps because there are more departures on weekends, if you arrive early, they let you board in order without having to wait until your reserved time, which made it smooth.

However, the duration was a bit long. It was quite a cramped space with over 20 people seated for about an hour and a half to two hours, so I thought it might be a bit tough for the kids. This was also partly because it was summer.

親子で乗りしました。船頭さんのお話も面白く、川下りも初めての体験で、楽しかったです。船上のコンビニ体験も面白かったです。
予約していましたが、土日など便を多く出す日だからか、早く付けば、時間まで待たなくても、そのまま順番で乗せてくれるのでスムーズでした。

ただ時間が少し長いです。結構狭い空間で20以上が座って、1時間半〜2時間なので、子どもには少しきついかなと思いました。夏だったというのもありますが。

We departed on a weekday with two participants! It felt a bit awkward to have the place to ourselves, but there was no traffic, and with such a small group, there were no delays in gathering, allowing us to move efficiently.

In Shirakawa-go, we had a generous three hours for exploration, including lunch, and we were able to visit lesser-known photo spots, recommended homes, and souvenirs that our guide shared with us. We could visit all the open homes, and it was fascinating to see the unique features and innovations of each one.

Although we only viewed the Suganuma village in Gokayama from the car, it was evident that it is a small, real community where people live, and I felt that tourists shouldn't disturb it too much.

The Ainokura village also had a quiet, lived-in feel, making it feel like we were intruding. After a five-minute climb from the parking lot, there was a viewpoint where we could see the small village nestled in the mountains, and I imagined how harsh the winters must be there. It can be explored in about an hour, but I thought it would be nice to stay overnight (even though I said we shouldn't disturb it...).

Both the guide and the driver were experienced, which made us feel at ease. I would love to visit again in a different season. Thank you!

平日出発で参加者は2名！貸し切り状態で申し訳ない感じでしたが、渋滞も無く、少人数なので集合遅れも無く、さくっと効率よく廻れました。

白川郷は昼食を含めてたっぷり3時間の散策時間があり、ガイドさんが教えてくださった、知る人ぞ知るフォトスポットやお薦めのお宅、お土産、をくまなく見学することが出来ました。
公開されているお宅は全て見学でき、お宅毎の特徴や工夫を見ることができ興味深かったです。

五箇山の菅沼集落は車窓からでしたが、こじんまりとした、リアルに生活している集落である事が見て取れ、あまり観光客が荒らしてはいけないなと感じました。

相倉集落も生活感のある静かな集落で、お邪魔させていただく感じです。
駐車場から5分程山を登ると展望できるスペースがあり、山あいの小さな集落で冬は厳しいのだろうなと想像できます。
1時間ほどで見て回れますが、ここは一泊してみたいと思いました。（荒らしてはいけないと言いつつ。。。）

ガイドさんもドライバーさんも慣れていらっしゃる方々で安心でした。
また異なる季節にお邪魔したいと思いました。
