It snowed more than expected, but everything went according to plan. I'm grateful to the bus driver. There were many foreigners, so it wasn't a calm atmosphere, but I was satisfied to see the snowy Shirakawa-go. I was impressed by the guide's language skills and hospitality. Truly professional.

More than half of the tour was made up of international guests. Since there were English speakers during meals, I was able to enjoy conversing in English. The scenery in Shirakawa-go and Takayama was so charming and reminiscent of the settings in old tales and period dramas, which left me deeply moved.
海外の方が半分以上のツアーでした。英語圏の方が食事の際となりだったので、英会話を楽しめました。

I visit Takayama every year, but this is my first time in Shirakawa-go. I wish I could have walked around a bit longer. It's such a lovely place, and I would like to visit again. This was my first time using the service. I was a bit anxious, but the reservation and payment process went smoothly. When I actually experienced it, there were few Japanese people, but everyone, including the overseas guests, gathered on time. The guide and the customer service were perfect, and I had a great time. I recommended it to my friends as well.

We were blessed with good weather (there was snow, but it wasn't a blizzard or extremely cold), and we were able to fully enjoy the illumination of Shirakawa-go. The parking area was convenient since it was for the dining spots, so it wasn't crowded. Additionally, the bus was kept available for those who wanted to take a break along the way. I was also very grateful that the restaurant we dined at allowed us to use the restroom before the meeting time for our return (the outdoor restrooms had a long line). The directions to the observation deck, recommended routes, and suggested souvenirs were all explained clearly, making our sightseeing very smooth. If any friends or acquaintances say they want to visit Shirakawa-go, I will definitely recommend this tour!
お天気にも恵まれ（雪はちゃんとあるけれども吹雪いたり、超低温だったりではない）、十分に白川郷のライトアップを楽しむことができました。
駐車場の場所も、食事場所の駐車場なので混み合うこともありませんでしたし、途中で休みたくなった人のためにずっとバスは空けていてもらえました。また、食事をしたお店で、帰りの集合時間前にお手洗いに行けるよう配慮もして下さり、大変ありがたかったです（外のお手洗いは行列でした。）

I participated on a clear day after heavy snowfall. I didn't need a scarf or gloves; in fact, I felt like using a parasol. However, I held back since no one else was using one.
The tour guide was enjoyable to talk with, and I could see the Tateyama mountain range from the window. They recommended cafes and photo spots, and one of my pictures is from that location.
Since I was participating alone, I was worried about how to spend the more than two hours, but I was able to enjoy food sampling and purchase souvenirs recommended by the tour guide, making it a meaningful time.
大雪の後の快晴の日に参加させていただきました。マフラーや手袋も不要で、むしろ日傘をさしたいほどでした。しかし、日傘をさしている方が一人もいなくて我慢しました。
添乗員さんは、社内で楽しくお話してくださり、車窓からは立山連峰も観る事ができました。お薦めのカフェや撮影スポットを教えていただき、写真の１枚はその場所です。
一人参加でしたので、2時間あまりをどう過ごすか心配でしたかが、食べ歩きしたり、添乗員さんお薦めのお土産も購入でき、有意義な時間が過ごせました。

The guidance was smooth, and I was able to enjoy the experience at a leisurely pace. The local specialty, Hida beef grilled on a leaf, was also delicious. Since there are few restaurants, I recommend opting for the dinner option. It's a big plus that the restaurant allows you to use their restroom. There are few toilets in the village, so the women's restroom had a long line. The guide also pointed out great photo spots, so I was able to take beautiful pictures! I recommend this tour over going individually.
案内もスムーズでゆったり鑑賞できました。名物の飛騨牛ほう葉焼きも美味しかったです。お店が少ないので夕食付きはおすすめ。レストランでトイレを貸してもらえるのもポイントが高いです。集落にトイレが少ないので女子トイレは行列でした。ガイドさんに撮影ポイントも教えてもらえるのでキレイな写真が撮れました！個人で行くよりもこちらのツアーをおすすめします。

I had to make a last-minute reservation for a long-distance bus that was fully booked, but it turned out to be great. The guide explained in both Japanese and English, so my friend who doesn't understand Japanese was able to gain a lot of knowledge. The bus to Shirakawa-go can enter areas where other buses are restricted, which is very convenient. Once you get off, you can immediately line up for the bus to the observation deck. Lunch at a gassho-zukuri farmhouse in Shirakawa-go will be a great memory.

I thought it was early, but this allowed us to avoid traffic jams and crowds even on a holiday, making for a comfortable tour. The guide explained everything slowly and clearly in both Japanese and English, which was very reassuring. I was impressed by the experience and skill of the guide.
Although it was a tour after a heavy snow warning, the contrast between the high snow piles and the blue sky was stunning, truly a perfect day for photography. I was able to fully enjoy it.
The lunch might have been a bit small for younger people, but it was sufficient for middle-aged and older guests. However, it may have been a bit salty for foreign visitors overall.
Even though I knew about the Karakuri Pass and the making of "Hōshō," seeing it in person was completely different. Just confirming that there are still so many interesting and educational domestic tourism options made participating in this tour worthwhile.

I was worried about the heavy snow along the way, but thanks to the veteran driver and guide, we were able to stick to the schedule. As described in my previous experiences, it felt like an overseas tour with only two groups of Japanese people. We departed as scheduled despite the heavy snow warning around Shirakawa-go. The tour guide's explanations were given in Chinese, English, Korean, and finally Japanese, but compared to the lengthy explanations in Chinese, the time allocated for Japanese was quite short. Initially, we were supposed to start with sightseeing in Takayama, but due to the heavy snow, we changed our plans to start from Shirakawa-go. As we traveled on the highway, the snowfall increased, and the bus continued through the heavy snow as warned. However, after exiting at Shirakawa-go IC, we encountered traffic jams, and the bus struggled to move forward. Ultimately, we had to get off before reaching the parking lot and walked to Shirakawa-go. The gassho-zukuri roofs that came into view amidst the falling snow clearly demonstrated the measures taken against heavy snowfall. We couldn't reach the observation deck due to the snow, but we were able to circle around Shirakawa-go and feel its history. The bus headed towards Takayama, but again, we were stuck in traffic and made little progress. We arrived in Takayama just before 4 PM, but places like Takayama Jinya were already closed, so we could only view the townscape. The bus then headed to Nagoya, arriving at 7:30 PM. Although there was traffic, we didn't experience significant delays. According to the tour guide, other companies' tours were unable to leave Shirakawa-go, so we were all quite lucky. Despite the traffic, the heavy snow in Shirakawa-go was definitely worth seeing.
これまでの体験談のとおり、日本人が２組だけのまるで海外ツアーのような状況でした。白川郷周辺は大雪警報の中予定通り出発しました。車内での添乗員さんの説明は、中国語、英語、韓国語、最後に日本語の順でしたが、中国語の説明時間の長さと比較すると、日本語での説明の時間はかなり短いものでした。予定では高山観光からでしたが、大雪の影響で白川郷からに変更になり、高速道路を走行しているうちに積雪量が多くなり、警報通りの大雪の中バスは進んでいきましたが、白川郷ICを降りてから渋滞で、ばすはなかなか前に進みません。結局駐車場の手前で降車して歩いて白川郷へ。雪が降りしきる中で見えてきた合掌作りの屋根は、大雪対策のためあることがよくわかる光景でした。大雪のため展望台までは行きませんでしたが、白川郷を１周して歴史を感じることができました。バスは高山へと向かいますが、またもや渋滞で進みません。高山に着いたのは16時前で、高山陣屋敷などは閉館で街並みを見るにとどまりました。バスは名古屋に向かい、19時30分に到着しました。渋滞がありましたが、それほど遅れることなく、添乗員さんの話では、他の会社のツアーでは、白川郷から出られていないところもあり、みなさんラッキーでしたということでした。渋滞はありましたが、大雪の白川郷は、見る価値がありました。

I was really looking forward to my first visit to Shirakawa-go!
Due to the heavy snowfall leading up to the end of the year, our tour guide and driver suggested that we visit other attractions before heading to Shirakawa-go to avoid the expected crowds.
There were many tourists, and by the time we left Shirakawa-go, the road on the opposite side was heavily congested. Thanks to the quick thinking of both of them, we were able to enjoy our time in Shirakawa-go to the fullest. Thank you very much!
The snowy scenery of Shirakawa-go was absolutely beautiful, so next time, I would love to see the different landscapes of Shirakawa-go in spring or summer and autumn!
In Hida Takayama, I was able to enjoy delicious food and leave feeling both my heart and stomach were satisfied.

The weather was nice, and the guide was excellent. We traveled by two buses. However, it was quite difficult for my companion, who is Australian, to sit on the tatami mats during the meal. I think we would have enjoyed it more if we could have chosen a table seating option like the other group on the other bus.
