I was a bit concerned about the heat, but the seaside breeze was refreshing, and sitting outside on the boat felt comfortable with the pleasant wind. It was much better than being in the muggy city. The cruise itself felt like being in a near-future movie, and I can understand why it's so popular. There were large international cruise ships, and I think people coming from abroad must be amazed by Japan. Among the international ports I've seen recently, this one stands out as exceptionally modern and grand in scale. I'm once again surprised by how incredible Japan is. Even if it's not a sunny day, I don't think this cruise is significantly affected when it comes to enjoying the night views. I had a great time. The captain of the Santa Barbara was also a really nice person, full of service spirit, explaining things while quickly taking us to the front and getting us close to the highlights, providing great service and making it a lot of fun. I would love to go again if I have the chance.

Oh, taking photos of the night view is difficult, and it's hard to get good shots with a compact camera or a phone. But I recommend it.

暑い中、どうかなと思ったのですが、海辺は海風が涼しく、船も外側に座っていたのですが、風が気持ちよくて快適でした。蒸し暑い街中にいるよりずっと良かった。クルーズそのものも、まるで近未来の映画の中にいるようで、人気なのも頷けました。大きな国際客船がいましたが、海外から来る人たちも日本って凄いと思うんじゃないかな。昨今見た海外の国際港の中では群を抜いて近代的でスケールが大きい。日本って凄いんだと改めてびっくり。晴れの日でなくてもこのクルーズはあまり夜景を楽しむのにさほどの影響は無いと思います。とても楽しめました。サンタバルカの船長さんも凄く良い人で、サービス精神に溢れていて、あれやこれやと解説しながら高速で前の方に乗せてくれたり、見どころには近寄せてくれたり、大サービスで頑張ってくださって、とても楽しかったです。また機会があれば行っても良いな。
あ、夜景の写真って難しくて、ちゃんとした写真はコンデジや携帯のなんちゃって写真ではなかなかびしっといきません。でもお薦め。

The one day tour to Mt. Fuji was very interesting. The bus accommodations were comfortable and our tour guide knowledgeable. Standing at the fifth station was amazing and being about to look up at Mt. Fuji was wonderful. We rode the cable car for a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding area and took a boat ride on the lake below Mt. Fuji. Would I do the tour again? Yes but there are some things to be prepared to understand. The traffic was so heavy leaving Tokyo that it took an additional hour to get there. We only had a 15 minute rest stop which was barely enough time to buy a beverage and a snack. Because of the traffic, we did not get to enjoy the visitor's center. They stopped there for a potty break but we only had five minutes there so we missed all the exhibits. The worst part of the trip was the bus ride from Mt. Fuji to Shinkansen to catch the bullet train back to the city. We had to cross the mountains on a winding road and in his haste to get us there in time, the bus driver, although safe, made my son and granddaughter sick from the motion on the bus. I was seated in the front row so it was not as bad for me. This part of the journey was not mentioned at all prior to the end of our tour.

Surprisingly, the factory night view was great, but what impressed me the most was the captain's personality! He was someone who genuinely wanted us to have a good time, and I felt his hospitality. I would love to take a cruise with this captain again. I highly recommend it.

The tour was great and we had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, we had bad weather but our guide Take (I hope I am spelling his name correctly) did everything he could to compensate for that. Thank you Take! So, the only thing stopping us from loving the tour were the clouds hiding Fuji-san. Hopefully next time we'll actually be able to go up :)

The trip did not turn out as expected due to the bad weather for viewing the Mt Fuji,as we are only able to reach the 1st level and the visibility was very poor.The guide did apologized for nothing could be seen on that day.Overall the lunch at the hotel was good and the ride back by the Shinkansen was interesting.Dissappointed for not able to see Mt Fuji but we we given the beautiful postcards.

Our guide tour is very efficient and has a way of entertaining us. We would like to thank her (Tour Guide of Bus No. 4) and our apology of not being able to get her name. We'll definitely recommend this to our friends and family members when they visit Tokyo. May we suggest that your client not be subjected to call up your company to confirm which is quite stressful especially we are out of Japan. I wanted to ride the red buses I saw around the city, so I signed up. I thought the one-day pass was only valid for the day it was exchanged, but it’s actually valid for 24 hours from the time of exchange. I was surprised it was valid until the next day (though I didn’t use it…).

I took two routes: one around the Tokyo Skytree and another around Odaiba. Each route takes about an hour. I was able to get off at the Skytree and stroll around Solamachi.

What surprised me was that the bus runs on the highway. Riding an open-top bus on the Shuto Expressway and crossing the Rainbow Bridge is a rare experience, and I can recommend this ticket just for that.

However, even in late March, it starts to get cold after around 4 PM. I think late April would be a better season. The guide's explanations were enjoyable, but sometimes their voice was too soft or they spoke too quickly, which was a downside.

Also, some bus stops were hard to find and in slightly awkward locations. For example, at Senso-ji Temple, I worried about whether I could reach it after being dropped off there! There might be regulations affecting this, but I hope improvements can be made.

Still, I think it’s fun for even those living in the city to ride just for a bit of a change!

１日券って引き替えた日のみかと思ったら、引き替えた時間から２４時間なんですね。次の日まで有効でびっくり。（使いませんでしたけど…）
スカイツリーをまわるコースとお台場をまわるコースの２つに乗車。１コースおおむね１時間程度ですね。途中でスカイツリー下車をしてソラマチをぶらぶらしたりもできました。
びっくりなのが高速道路を走ること。オープンバスで首都高を走ったり、レインボーブリッジを駆け抜けたりは滅多にできない体験で、これだけでもこのチケットおすすめできちゃいます。
ただ、３月下旬でも１６時過ぎたくらいから寒くなってきます。４月下旬からが良いシーズンかな？
ガイドさんの解説も楽しいけど、声が小さかったり早口すぎたりするのがマイナス。
あと、バス停がわかりにくい＆ちょっと場所が微妙なところがちらほら。浅草寺なんか、あそこで下ろされてたどり着けるのかな！？と入らない心配をしてしまいました。規制などもあるかもしれないけど、改善されると良いですね。
でも、都内在住者でもちょっと話題程度に乗ってみるのも楽しいと思いますよ！

The guide i have to mention that was very nice. The day to Nikko was very nice. The story of three monkeys was very impressive for me. To Kirifuri Falls was a little bit cold beacause i was in 29 th december, but it was a spectacular view.

The tour was professionally managed, the bus, driver and the roads were excellent, the tour guide capable. We had the good fortune of a sunny day despite it being winter, and could go all the way up to station 5! Snow, windy, yet sunny, beautiful blue sky. Gorgeous. The lunch was great, but the Hakone visit, rope gondola and ferry ride were a bit rushed. Then, because it was winter, it became dark by the time we headed towards the Shinkansen station. It was a great one day tour.

Since it was a one-day pass, I took two rides: from Marunouchi to Skytree at 10:20 and from Marunouchi to Odaiba at 17:30. Sitting in the front row, even a regular curve feels thrilling like a roller coaster. Whether you're in the middle or the back, you can see the scenery in 360 degrees. It's very impressive! I highly recommend it for small children. For me as an adult, the bus guide's stories were full of interesting insights and very entertaining.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was fantastic and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo or Japan on a short stay. We didn't get to do all the stated activities, but we did have the alternatives offered which were great and really filled out the day. Due to the weather, we didn't get to see the summit of Mt Fuji which was a shame, but there was so much other stuff to see and take in culturally on the other little excursions/activities we didn't really feel like we missed out at all.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She explained a lot about the city on the way out of Tokyo as well as the various areas we visited and passed through on the bus.

The lunch was excellent and more than we expected. The only down point was the traffic congestion on the way back to Odawara Station which seemed to take forever, but it was a National holiday so it wasn't unexpected. The trip back on the bullet train was well worth the wait though and we got back to Tokyo station within 30 mins of getting on the train! As we don't have any high speed trains like that in New Zealand it was great to both see and ride on.

I'd definitely book with City Discovery again.

The Full Day Grand Tokyo Tour was a nice and relaxing way to view the cities highlights and gardens. Nagi and Jun were excellent guides throughout the day and even taught us a few greetings and how to count in Japanese. I would recommend this tour as a good way to hit the major highlights of Japan.
