I wanted to experience Edo Kiriko, so I participated as a solo female traveler. Although I was alone, the instructor was very attentive, and I had a great time. They allowed me to practice before carving my own glass, which made me feel at ease. I believe even those who are somewhat clumsy can do it without any issues.

江戸切子を体験してみたくて、女性1人で参加しました。
1人での参加でしたが、インストラクターの方が丁寧に接してくださり、とても楽しく体験できました。
自分のグラスを彫る前に練習をさせてくださるので、安心して彫ることができました。多少不器用な方でも全く問題なくできると思います。

This was really an enjoyable experience! The staffs are very nice, helpful and explained very clearly to make sure we understand every step! Love the samples that we have made, beautiful!

It had an international atmosphere! As a beginner in rakugo, taikagura, and wajima (being Japanese), I found the explanations to be thorough and easy to understand, which made it enjoyable♪ Not only could we watch and listen, but we also had the opportunity to experience it hands-on with small props, making it a great experience⭐︎ I was able to take the props home as souvenirs, and I showcased them to my husband when I returned (^.^) I thought it would be nice to participate along with my overseas friends when they visit Japan and go to Kanda Myojin!

インターナショナルな雰囲気でした！落語・太神楽・和妻初心者の私（日本人）にとっても解説が丁寧で、分かりやすく楽しめました♪
観たり聞いたりするだけでなく、実際に小物を使って体験できるので良い経験になります⭐︎小物はお土産に持って帰れたので、帰って主人に披露しました(^.^)
海外の友人が日本に来た際に神田明神に参拝するのと一緒に参加するのも良いなと思いました！

It was a very fun experience. We always wanted to try making food sample and our whole family enjoyed so much. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and they are making sure we were doing just fine. Highly recommend this place.

It was my first experience, but I was kindly taught, and despite my clumsiness, I was able to create something nice! I definitely want to try this experience again!

After reading the excellent reviews I had to book this activity for me and my 16-year-old son (mid July 2023) and I have to agree with the other reviewers: it was a lot of fun and a unique experience. The instructor was really nice and helpful, he explained everything to us in English and was very patient and supportive. We had time to choose our "ingredients" and both our ice cream sundaes turned out really well. Due to the perfect packaging we brought them back home safely. We highly recommend trying it yourself!

I had never seen rakugo before, so I was interested and joined with a friend. The plate spinning and magic tricks (which I learned are called wazuma) were quite fun. There were many foreigners present, and during some of the magic tricks, they even revealed how they were done, so I was able to participate without getting bored. I think I'll show it to my acquaintances. Haha!

落語など今まで見たことが無かったので、興味があり友人に連れられ参加してみました。
皿回しや手品(和妻、わずまと言うらしい)が結構楽しかったです。
外国人の方も多くいて、また手品などは一部、種あかしでやり方も教えて貰えるので飽きることなく参加できました。知合いに披露しようと思います。笑

I experienced this while exploring the downtown area with friends. It reminded me of my student days, and we all had a very enjoyable time together. The finished glasses turned out reasonably well, but each one had its own special touch. It was a lot of fun! It was also a great opportunity to engage with traditional Japanese crafts. I would love to challenge myself again.

こんなに真剣に何かに取り組むなんて、学生時代を思い出して、みんなとても楽しいひと時を過ごしました。
出来上がったグラスは出来はそこそこでしたが、それぞれ格別の仕上がり。
とても楽しかったです！
日本の伝統工芸に触れるいい機会でもありました。またチャレンジしたいです。

They speak Japanese and a little bit of Japanese English It's not easy to understand but it helps to get communicated.
But, Their service mind is great, smile all time and kindly answer our question.
the sample things are good quality and we got a great experience.

I've always wanted to make one of these food samples, and was happy to find this opportunity using the Chika Toku (extra value) system from the Tokyo Metro pass. Although the explanation was in Japanese, the staff made sure I understood what to do and even showed me exactly how to proceed. It was a wonderful experience and a fun way to spend a couple hours.

The activity was a ton of fun! Me and my 7 year old attended, the instructor was very helpful and friendly with both of us and provided clear guidance and explanations. Our instructor's English was quite capable, and used a translation app to bridge the gap. As for the food samples themselves it was a lot of fun, easy to understand, and the results are super realistic! Great souvenirs!

Since I usually live overseas, I had the opportunity to experience Japanese culture with my child and grandmother, spanning three generations. It was very enjoyable, and the handmade cut glass became a wonderful keepsake.
My grandmother brought her reading glasses, and my daughter tied her hair back, which allowed us to focus on the task. The instructor explained everything clearly and encouraged us brightly during the process, providing individual advice on techniques, so we were all satisfied with our finished pieces.
We also had the chance to learn about how to appreciate cut glass works made by artisans, making it a truly great experience. Thank you very much.

普段は海外暮らしのため、子供と祖母とで親子3代、日本文化の体験をさせていただきました。とても楽しく、自作の切子グラスがいい記念になりました。
おばあちゃん達は老眼鏡持参、娘は髪をまとめて結ったので、作業に集中できました。先生が分かりやすく説明してくださり、作業中も明るく励ましてくださった他、コツなどもそれぞれに個別にアドバイスいただけたので、完成した作品にも満足です。
職人さんが作る切子ガラスの作品の見方についても聞くことができたので、とても良い体験となりました。ありがとうございました。

It was my first experience, but I was treated very kindly and had a great time. Even as a beginner, I was able to enjoy myself and I was very satisfied to create my own unique glass. It was nice that there was a machine for each person, allowing us to take our time and focus.

The guy there was so nice to us like he was teaching us and was so patient and was so good. And like the other staff kept smiling at us and they were so nice. And they let us make stuff without reservation. And the charms they sell there are so cute too. YAYYYYYYY

The location was easy to miss at first, but the staff welcomed us, so we found it. The first floor is the shop, and we had our experience on the second floor. Since it was a weekday afternoon and there were few participants, we received careful and thorough instruction. While practicing, we were able to take our time with design and glass selection without feeling rushed, which made it easier.

As it was my first experience, I thought I might not be able to achieve the design I envisioned with my skills, and I made a few mistakes along the way. However, when I asked the instructor for help with corrections, they managed to cover up my errors.

There were various things that caught my attention when viewed up close, but for a first attempt, I was quite satisfied with what I created, and I would love to try it again if I have the opportunity.

場所は一瞬通り過ぎてもおかしくないくらいの所でしたけど、お店の方がお出迎えしてくれてたのでわかりました。１階がお店で2階で体験させて貰いましたが、平日の昼間で参加者が少なかった事もあり、ゆっくり丁寧に教えて貰いました。練習もそうですけど、デザインとかグラス選びも焦らされることもなくアドバイスだけ頂けてやりやすかったです。
初めての体験で自分の技術では、やっぱり思ったようなデザインにできないかもとか思いましたし、途中少し失敗もしましたが、修正を先生に頼んだら、私のミスも何とかごまかせました。
近くで見たら色々気になる所もありますが、初めてにしては結構納得できるものができたし、機会があればまたやってみたいです。

This was a great experience for crafters of all ages. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their materials, and very receptive to be asked about procedures. There's a tablet with Google Translate available on-hand to help move through any language bumps, and staff was incredibly accommodating towards all levels of Japanese proficiency. I definitely plan to bring english-only friends back here on a future trip.

Previously, I had a kiriko experience at a different shop, but it didn't go well, and I was quite disappointed. This time, I decided to take revenge and try again. Perhaps because it was a different shop, I was able to do much better than last time, and I successfully achieved my revenge, creating the best piece! ✨

以前、違うお店の切子体験をやりましたが、上手くいかず残念な思いをし、今回、リベンジで再挑戦しました。
お店が違うからか、前回より思うように出来て、無事リベンジを果たし最高の作品が出来ました✨

It was a super fun experience. the staff super super nice and very friendly. We loved the experience!! They can speak english but if you are learning japanese, they will mixed but they know how to explain super well. Also they explain you the history about the fake food and they have also some shop with jewelry....

Fun and family friendly workshop! Hosts were friendly and provided clear and easy instruction. Would love to take another workshop in the future.

The staff was attentive and provided solid support for the patterns I wanted. It was a rewarding and memorable experience. I was even happier that they were considerate enough to help with the photos after completion.

Great interactions with staff in a simple, fun environment!

We had a lovely time at this workshop. It was very beginner friendly, and the assistant's English was fantastic. She walked us through each step, and we had ample practice opportunity before starting to on our own pieces. I would highly recommend this workshop!

I had an experience at the same shop about a year ago. This time, I wanted to create something in a different color, so I participated again. The instructor was very attentive, but it was still quite difficult, and time flew by. I went in with the intention of making something with the same design, but I once again realized the challenges of Edo Kiriko. Nevertheless, it was a fun experience, and I would like to visit again.

一年位前に同じお店で体験をしました。今回は色違いのものをつくりたくて、再度体験しました。丁寧に教えていただきましたが、やはり難しく、時間はあっという間です。同じデザインのものをつくるつもりで意気込んでいきましたが、改めて江戸切子の難しさを実感しました。それでも楽しい経験です。また伺いたいと思います。

It was my first experience with Edo Kiriko, and although I was nervous, the instructions were very thorough, and I had a great time.
Before attempting my own glass, I was able to practice with a sample glass, choose the shape and color I liked, and select the pattern myself, making it a very fulfilling experience.

I've already started using the finished glass that I brought home yesterday, and I really love it.

I would like to participate again if I have the chance.

初めての江戸切子体験♪ドキドキでしたがご丁寧に説明してくださり、とっても楽しかったです。
自分のグラスに挑戦する前に練習用のグラスで試させていただけたり、好みのグラスの形や色を選べたり、柄も本人次第で選ぶことができ、とても充実した体験レッスンでした。

出来上がったグラス、持ち帰った昨日から早速使っています♪とても気に入りました。

It was my first experience on a traditional houseboat, which I had always dreamed of. It was a bit chilly, but it was really great. The number of passengers and the duration were just right, and I enjoyed the scenery. The tempura was amazing!

憧れの屋形船初体験でした。少し肌寒い季節でしたが、とてもよかったです。定員数も所要時間もちょうどよく、景色も楽しめました。てんぷら最高でした！
