Tokyo
The day tour from Tokyo was as promised.
The guide assigned to us, Ms. Rayko, was informative and very professional yet warm. She was well versed with the history and shared pertinent facts about the places we visited.
The food served during lunch was simple but well prepared.
Would I recommend this tour to friends? Yes!!!
Everything was great. The tour guide was pretty good. Bus and the drivers were pretty good. Overall everything was good. Nothing to complain.
Depending on where you are picked up, the pick up can take some time before the tour starts. In my case, it was more than an hour. Just be prepared for this.
While in Japan I saw some of the most breathtaking places I have ever visited, including Mt. Fuji. We were going to attempt a trip on our own, but were so very glad we signed up for this tour!
The day trip to Mt. Fuji and Hakone was great. The early am hours were foggy to really enjoy the mountain. The guide was excellent and had great time in the afternoon. I would recommend this tour !
Mary the tour guide is very good on her job. I like the lunch and we are on time of the schedule.
Very professional tour leader on this trip.
Definitely will book another tour when I'm back to Tokyo.
Tour guide was terrible ! Frustrating the amount he talked and just made the tour awkward . I know he was just trying to inform us on Japan but no one was listening and was just embrassing. Also a lot of traveling and waiting around , example meeting in a hotel and waiting for at least half hour to leave then only been on a bus for half hour and arriving at a bus station and then been told to wait around for another half hour to switch bus , the layout of the day just could be laid out better especially with the cost. It was 6 friends which included 2 couples between age 23-27 and just wasn’t enjoyable .
Hiro-san was very entertaining and educational. he was also very helpful. Our bus driver gave us a very smooth ride. To no fault of their own, i felt that the trip was too rushed. we only got to spend 45mins on 5th station, 45mins for lunch, 10mins on the top of hakone cable car. I'd like it more if we left tokyo at 7am rather than 9am so that we can have more time to enjoy the sights.
Kudos to our tour guide for being very accommodating. This tour has the perfect locations- it was unfortunate that the weather was a bit on the gloomy side when we got there. But it was still a nice experience since we were able to have a close & snowy encounter with Mt. Fuji at 5th station. I would suggest going for the "w/ meals option" since you only have limited time as it's a guided tour; like 15mins for lunch and would be cumbersome to be looking for restaurants nearby for that limited time. Not to mention prices don't come cheap on those areas with a least minimum of 700 yen for a bowl of noodles.
It was a good day trip and I specially liked the restaurant that you took us. No complaints on my side!
The guide showed good knowledge of the Mt Fujii and the schedule was on time.
One advice: audio guides on portuguese.
This is our first trip to Mt. Fuji and we love the trip arranged by Taiji-san. We have no problem to communicate with him because he speak very well in English. And he tried to understand our need before start up the trip. He is kind of caring and understanding person.. Thanks for making this wonderful day to all of us!
Dear Florence, thank you very much for your kind comment. The sky was extremely clear on that day and we could have such good view from all the places we went . Everybody seemed tired at the end as we walked quite a lot. Thank you for sending me the pictures, I will use that for my new profile.
We had a wonderful time. We were lucky to have clear sky that allowed us to see the majestic Mt. Fuji.
Thank you so much and we enjoyed the trip tremendously!
Awsome day. Our guide / host was outstanding. Very good local comintary and knowledge. Both my son and i had a wonderful day.
The sites were good and weather was really nice on the day of the tour (Mt. Fuji, lake hakone, komagatake ropeway) but felt a little bit rushed at times. Mary was a nice guide.
Like my titel already says. I‘m glad to have the amazing opportunity to book such a great trip with an amazing organisation :) the weather was great and the food was delicious. I loved to japanese lessons on the way there. thank you very much for this:)
the guide was nice and friendly the only draw is in each spot we only have a little time to spend
The tour itself was amazing, the lunch at the hotel was great as well. The tour guide was really really good cannot fault the tour at all
Everything went like clockwork. We were lucky enough to get wonderful views from both Stations 4 and 5. The lunch was beautiful in a marvellous setting. Staff very attentive, right down to taking us to the train we needed to catch to return to our hotel at the end of the day. Worth every cent and we can’t recommend it highly enough.
The activities were awesome, our tour guide Toshi was very friendly and the coach driver also managed to drive us back to our final destination on time. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to visiting Mount Fuji and Hakone!
Excellent guide when on the bus, but very confusing situation when getting back on the bus.
Terrible weather, but very happy to see Mt Fuji Capped with snow.
Interestering and flavorful lunch, but we were too rushed with not enough time for shopping.
With total fog the cable ride was absurd.
Very enjoyable, a lot to see and do. Some beautiful sights to see, I proposed to my partner at the 5th station which was really memorable. A long day which is well worth it.
Great experience and lovely place to visit but the time was very limited to explore each location.
Tour was great. Our guide Harumi was very helpful and entertained us during the slower parts of the trip. Just happened to have great weather for viewing Mt. Fuji as well. All in All, would travel again.
The hotel pick up option worked well even though, when arriving at the main Bus Station it was a little chaotic. Waiting to check in and being allocated our coach was not so long and soon the tour was under way. The journey to the mountain takes you through interesting countryside, their new wine region being one part. But where was Mt Fuji? Where it so often is, nestled in cloud. From the 5th station you did quite well to see your hand at full stretch but there were teasing hints of a bright spell approaching.
As we stopped for lunch in an intriguing choice of a fairground restaurant the sky kept on teasing. The meal was quite typical of Japanese and nothing wrong with that. Orders phoned through meant that there was really no waiting, quite essential on such a full day.
En route to the lake and the short passenger ferry trip to the aerial cableway we did enjoy quite a spectacular view with the mountain wearing a white cap. Once on top of the cableway the vision was pretty much zero and quite cold so most people returned to the bottom to wander around the shops. Transfer to the station for the short but interesting bullet train ride went well with the train journey just long enough to appreciate the acceleration and have a taste of the top speed.
An eventful and fun day and certainly bone I wouldn't have missed.
We were very lucky that the weather cooperated and we saw Mt. Fuji!!! I really wanted that picture perfect view and I got it, together with the mountain's cone shaped peak. Our tour guide Yoshi was really good, he even thought us how to make a mountain origami during the long bus ride.
The only thing I did not like is that we were not able to go to Owakudani valley anymore because the Hakone Sky Gondola suddenly stopped its operation for maintenance purposes. It was a good thing they were able to replace it with another similar activity.
All in all it was a good trip! I will definitely book with this tour provider again.
too much bus riding...glad to return on train. too much rushing. not much to see if my fuji only partially vusible.
We had one single day to see Mount Fuji and were Lucky enough with the weather on this day trip
Great guide Yoko was a pleasure to have wth us notwithstanding a group of loud and drunk Americans in the Bus tour ..
She kept them in line , well done
It started well on time , Japanese vegetarian food was amazing , specialy the presentation.
I had one of the most wonderful experience. The tour lady was so funny, cute, helpful. The places, food and directions were right on the point. I have no words to thanks you for making one of my dreams come true.
A long but very enjoyable day. Guide spoke excellent English and was very informative.
