Tokyo
Wonderful Mount Fuji and engaging crew members made our experience really amazing.
Personal human touch and helping Nanako san made sure she helped all members with travel logistics after tour. Excellent knowledge sharing in English language and very positive energy. We highly recommend the tour.
Goed excursion, fantastic organized!
Guide Icko was super!!!!
Loved the experience and the hospitality of a wonderful guide who not only told us about the sites but gave us some insight on Japanese traditions and folk lore
The.tour may be better in other seasons, but in June, low chance of getting a glimpse of Fuji-san. The lake Ashi cruise only took like 10min, and the cable car ride was like a rush hour train ride in Tokyo, I mean jampacked and stressful. The view from the top is magnificent though.
The tour guide was funny and threw in a lot of jokes, but his diction was hard to follow.
The part I enjoyed most is the lunch which was traditional Japanese, at least guests could experience real Japanese style.
Overall the trip was really nice. We had a very good view of Mount Fuji and the lady that guided us was very professional and very well prepared, maintaining a pleasant atmosphere all the time. Unfortunately we've done this trip at the beginning of raining season (beginning of June) so Hakone area and Lake Ashi was immersed in a very thick fog (luckily the weather around Mount Fuji was very good and we had a clear view of the mountain). But again check very carefully the weather before booking the trip! The success of this trip will be defined by the weather conditions! The lunch wasn't very rich but overall OK (hot pot with rice). You can pack some sweets to have it with you.
Awesome guide and could have not made the itenary better myself. The coach was also comfy with a full bus. After a long day was nice being on the bus even though we didn't get on the bullet train. Thank you and would book another tour again with sunrise.
The itinerary was jam packed but we managed to squeeze in Mount Fuji, a boat ride and a cable car ride all in a day. Mariko-san was also very friendly and helpful as a tour guide. However, I did not get the Mandarin audio guides for my parents that I indicated when I booked the tour, so was a little disappointed.
Overall it was still a great trip. Ichigo Ichie!
Everything was good. I wish we had a little bit more time on the highest point on mount fuji and for lunch. Like 20-40 minutes more. But it was interesting!
Yoshi-san is a very good tour guide and speaks english. We’re a bit unlucky to get a glimpse of Mt. Fuji from station 5. Yoshi-san allowed us to make a short stop at station 4 where we saw the tip of Mt. Fuji.
Got a better view or Mt. Fuji at the Gotemba area. Lunch is so-so although the Tempura is oishi! Cruise at Lake Ashi is breathtakingly beautiful (if you like scenic view). The cable car ride is a bit disppointing (we were diverted to a different cable car ride because the original ride from the itenerary had some technical issues). Again it was foggy from the top so there’s really nothing to see.
In general it was a 50-50 experience although it was nobody’s fault since you need to consider the weather condition before booking this tour!
Beautiful locations ...tour guide very knowledgeable and helpful. She gave lot of history and other information.
The weather is no one's fault and staff did their best, but the dense fog made seeing anything impossible. We toured area around Mt. Fugi in the fog. The fifth viewing station was closed. We were warned in reservation materials that we might not see the mountain but we didn't expect to be fogged out of every other attraction ( boat ride, lift ) as well. We did see some interesting countryside and a few villages. We also saw a bit of Tokyo as we circled around to pick up other participants at their hotels. We took the bus back, not the train. Train people beat us back to our hotel by about 30 minutes.
So the weather didn’t cooperate very well. But Junco made the day and our memories amazing!!! I would love to hang out with Junco. Fuji mountain was a little shy but Junco had amazing jokes. Can’t say enough good things about Junco!!!!
April, our tour guide, was amazing. The trip was also amazing. Highly recommended.
Bus on time and excellent driver. Enjoyed the tour despite not being able to go to the higher level of Mt Fuji. However guide was excellent and did a great job reorganising everything. Bullet train was the highlight of the day .We'll worth the money!
We had a wonderful time. Our tour guild was great, he told many funny stories. We enjoyed our day.
Tour was extremely well organized. The guide Take-san is very knowledgeable and helpful to everyone. The bus clean and comfortable. Tour contents had been outstanding as Take-san used his experience and judgement to allow us to take advantage of the nice weather in the morning, and used the best opportunity to see the sights in good weather. The weather turned when we reached Hakone so we could not see anything at all at the summit. The meal was well presented and good. All in all, a wonderful day.
Brilliant. Enjoyed every aspect and the bullet train return was outstanding! Very efficiently operated by friendly and efficient staff. We highly recommend.
We were very fortunate to be able to see Mt. Fuji fairly clearly.
Lunch was just O.K. but enjoyed the bullet train return.
We booked this tour at the last minute and we lucked out because the weather was perfect that day (Apr 7/18). The pictures we took looked as if we were photo-shopped in with the mountain! At first, the bus took us higher up, closer to the summit. That wasn't exciting because it was quite windy and cold up there, and you couldn't get a good picture of the mountain. Actually we were quite disappointed, and probably so were many people in the bus. After about 15 minutes, they drove us down to a little town at the foot of the mountain for lunch. There we got to see the whole mountain in its grandeur! And we were so pleased!
Lunch was very good and plentiful. Great service. I'd advise buying the lunch package so you don't waste time waiting in line to order food on your own. On the way back the itinerary changed a bit due to high winds on the water. We were supposed to go on the lake, instead they drove us to visit Hakone. That didn't bother us since we've already had the chance to take all the good photos of the mountain. I highly recommend this tour.
It’s was very good experience for all of us who join the tour for the first time and we explore the nice view of Mt. fuji, hakone and lake ashi. We enjoy much during our tour because it was a good weather and the tour guide is very friendly and accommodating. She has a very good english and she keeps on checking us if we all complete during our stops to buy some souvenirs.. the food was great and delicious all japanese food. The money we pay is worth it! No regrets cause we all enjoyed during our tour!! Till next time!
The tour was very informative and there were lots of stops included (a lot more than other tours) - we didn't feel rushed at any stop and I loved the option of having a bullet train as a return home option. Our tour guide was Yoshi San - he was so wonderful and had heaps of stories to share about where we were going and Japan on general! He also made us laugh and entertained us along the way....one of the best tour guides we have had! Will definitely be back! Thank you Yoshi San
We had the best time on this tour! Our guide, mr Fumi was so knowledgable about everything and anything relating to Mount Fuji and Hakone. He even taught us some origami! We got picked up from the designated pick up stop on time, taken to Mount Fuji, then on a boat trip round Hakone and then finally up the gondola. I’d definitely recommend this trip to anyone.
Me and my wife took this trip. It was well organised . Our tour guide spoke English and was funny. Although all the activities listed were covered there was hardly any time to relax and enjoy the moment. Except the boat cruise. The journey itself takes most of the time
So can’t complain much. The lunch was Japanese cusine it was a nice experience.
The trip was nice, the places what we visited are awesome however i would expect more from the tourist guide to be familiar with the history of the place.
In the trip we heard 150 times - Mount Fuji, beautiful but not too much about the history, about interesting facts or the spiritual side of the mountain or about Japanese culture.
The transportation was the value in this trip mainly.
Great tour guide and funny. We were lucky that we went to Stage 4 for the view of Mt. Fuji and it was spectacular. The food was very filling. Ride on the bullet train and it was worth it!
By far this has been the most efficient, fulfilling and enriching tour I've taken so far.The guide Hashimoto has been simply superb in our trip with his English, humour and knowledge.Luch experience was superb as it was authentic japanese and traditional.Places were not rushed and one had enough time to soak in the experience. We were lucky to see Mt Fuji totally clear and visible and sky godolas and pirate ship experience was awesome too.Value for money I must say!Thankyou for this tour even though I was a solo traveller ,it was most comfortable and exciting
Great tour , very patient tour leader, courteous driver. Surely give us memorable moment at Japan. Outstanding tour
This was a very long day out.
The mountain was covered in cloud. We were greeted with snow, at the 5th step.
Lots of driving.
Lunch was fair.
It was dull and wet at the lake, which spoiled the experience.
The ride on the rope car was high and fun.
Waiting for others was a pain. We didn't arrive back at our hotel until very late.
A good experience, which looked better on TV.
We saw better views in Shimitzu on another tour, from our cruise ship..
Guide Kumi was informitive and did a good job, the set lunch was awsomr and full of local products. Enjoyed the trip.
Mr. Tom, our personal guide took us to the Kawakuchiko lake to see Mt. Fuji and we were very lucky that it was a bright and sunny day that we can see the Mt. Fuji clearly. Our guide let us move onto the next sightseeing spots at our own pace so it is very enjoyable for the whole family!
