An amazing and unique experience!
Reviewed by: kaywaiian , 2024/04/20We had a magnificent time with our instructor for the food class! He was instructive, patient, and made the experience the best it could be. You can really tell he loves what he does, and teaching people about it. If we ever come back to Japan, we will definitely be taking another class.
I also want to note: these classes can be taken in English is need be. Our instructor apologized for his “bad English” - and then spoke perfect English the whole time. I was like “no- WE apologize for OUR bad Japanese >_<“
Great fun for all ages. I took my husband and his guy friend, and they loved it more than they thought. Just 10/10 experience.

Amazing experience!
Reviewed by: Lexi, 2024/04/16I booked this experience for my boyfriend's birthday as he's a big fan of plastic food, so we wanted to learn how to make it and try it out for ourselves. If you're worried that this experience may only be fun for kids or families, we're both in our early 30s and had a really fun time of it!
The owner told us about the history of the craft while he taught us how to make our plastic fried rice, and it was really interesting to learn about!
They have a lot of fun trinkets and jewelry for sale as well that make amazing gifts for friends and family!
Would highly recommend this experience for anyone interested.

Booking online was straight-forward and easy as well :) Do note that to purchase additional in-store merchandise (sample food made by the store eg keychains) require cash, which we unfortunately did not bring. Excellent and fun activity

Show off your creative talent (you really dont need any!) by making your own sample food. This is a great family activity geared to all ages and skill levels and you learn a bit about the history of sample food. Keep in mind that you are not making samples from scratch. Rather some items such as the noodles and toppings are pre-made and you're basically molding them and placing the items to create your final product. Our group created different items - sushi candle, fried rice, Ramen and pizza clock - and everyone was thrilled with our creations! What a great souvenir to take home. Staff was very friendly, kind, supportive, and more importantly, patient in helping all of us. Try it out for yourself!

完成した作品の撮影用のブースがあり、わいわい楽しめました。

A delightful and novel experience

The tiny workshop, filled with examples of kintsugi to provide inspiration, was only just big enough for us both, two other more experienced Japanese students, and our two wonderful teachers Mr and Mrs Kuge. The latter is a force of nature who provided home made lemon cake, endless tea, written and spoken stories about kintsugi in English, and a shopping list to encourage us to pursue our new hobby. The combination with Mr Kuge's quiet expertise provided an atmosphere where we felt free to relax and be creative. We loved every minute of our class and can't wait to see what our tea cups look like after their 2 weeks drying out period.

珍しい体験！お土産にも。
Reviewed by: はち公, 2024/02/04ガラスだと吹きガラスやサンドブラストはよくありますが、切子の体験ができるとの事で珍しい！とお値段も手頃なので参加してみました。
参加した回はほぼ満員でした。
特にデザインを考えないで行きましたが、作品見本や図案が沢山あるのでその場でデザインを考えられました。
いろんな色や形のグラスから選べましたが
基本料金で選べるのは透明のグラスのみ、色付きだと＋1000円弱、更に濃い色のグラスだと1800円弱プラスで掛かります。(せっかくなので模様が見える＋1000円弱のグラスにしました)
何回か練習した後に本番に挑めます。
底のデザイン→彫刻→側面のデザイン→彫刻といった流れ。
思ったより深く削っても割れなく大丈夫でした！
出来上がったグラスはブースで写真を撮らせてもらえて、箱に入れて紙袋に入れて渡してもらえます。なので手ぶらや小さい鞄で来ても大丈夫です。
行った時期が冬で暖房が効いてて暖かいのもあり
喋らなくとも乾燥して喉が渇きました。途中喉が乾いて買いに行く人もいたので、ペットボトルや水筒など蓋のついた飲み物を持参すると良いかもしれません。

Enjoyable experience

Some of the materials were ready to go, so do not expect the satisfaction of crafting something from scratch, but its difficulty is suitable for travellers.
You should also read the posters on the wall, and you could see some advice from previous players.
I'd rate the experience 10/10!
(Personally think fried rice is more enjoyable than ramen)

Excellent workshop and experience!
Reviewed by: Tina , 2024/01/25Kuge Craft provided a detail direction to their workshop, about 8 mins walk from their workshop. It is a cosy place with plenty of artworks and books references.
The experience is amazing. We were greeted by a lovely snack (delicious homemade cake, crackers and earl grey) with English notes and material list for kintsugi. They break it down step by step making it very easy to follow. Along the way, they would also provide extra information before we even know what questions to ask.
They are such a lovely couple, we hope to get to join their workshop again when we are in Tokyo!

Very fun!

I laughed when one of the staff members to please flatten the ramen noodles like a frisbee. These are awesome souvenirs and me and the boyfriend enjoyed it a lot. It's a unique experience for sure. The class itself doesn't take too long, maybe 30-40 minutes? It depends on how many things you're making and if the instructor is busy. If you have the chance, i highly recommend this experience! You take your product home right away, they packaged my deluxe parfait very carefully in a box and then into a bag to take home. It'll take 24 hours for the silicone (the "whipped cream" to fully harden.
