Since we were traveling as a pair and wouldn't be stopping at other hotels, we chose a private transfer. Perhaps because we reconfirmed the day before, the car arrived ten minutes before the meeting time, and while waiting in the lobby, the bellboy called out to us in a loud voice. Everything went smoothly, and since the price difference with shared transfers wasn't that significant, choosing a private transfer was definitely the right decision. We had two suitcases, but the driver kindly helped with loading and unloading. Of course, we gave an appropriate tip.

二人の旅行で他のホテルに立ち寄る事もないので貸切の送迎を選びました。
前日にリコンファームをしたこともあってか集合時間の１０分前には車が来ており、ロビーで待っているとベルボーイが大きな声で呼んでくれました。
　全てが順調で、混乗送迎との料金差もそれほどないので、貸切にして大正解でした。　スーツケースが２個ありましたが、運転手さんも親切に積み下ろしをしてくれました。
勿論、それなりのチップは渡しました。

Since Uber and Grab are not available in Cancun, we opted for the shuttle bus service to our hotel.

We were on an international flight (UA) from Houston to Cancun, but our departure was delayed by two hours at the last minute, which made us quite anxious. I updated the reservation confirmation page regarding the departure time delay from the airport lounge, but when we exited Cancun Airport, we were really relieved to see staff in the uniforms and with the placards as notified in the pre-arrival email.

The shuttle bus was exclusively for us, and we were able to move to the hotel very smoothly. The interior was also clean. Both the guide and the driver spoke English and even tried to speak a little Japanese, which was very friendly.

After exiting the airport, I couldn't find the pickup staff, but a kind local Japanese person helped me out.

It was a shared ride, but since there were no other passengers, it ended up being a private transfer.

The driver was cheerful and introduced popular spots while driving.

He safely transported me to the hotel without any issues.

We arrived about 15 minutes early, and the hotel staff came to call us near the hotel lobby. There was one more group for the ride, making a total of two groups. During the 30-minute drive, the Spanish-speaking driver chatted with us, asking where we had been, how to say things in Japanese, and even shared jokes, including teaching us the word "seppuku." Just before we reached the airport, he reminded everyone to check for their passports and confirmed the terminal since it varies by airline, all in English. I was happy to have such a friendly and kind driver at the end of our trip.

Due to the airplane arriving a little early, I couldn't find the staff. I saw staff from 3-4 other companies discussing, and they quickly informed me that there was a desk on the other side, even though no one was there at the moment. I took a look around for about five minutes, and then the representatives from the companies who had initially helped me waved me over! I was able to meet a staff member holding a board with my full name. After that, I was smoothly guided to the driver, who took me and another family to the hotel zone. Lastly, since I didn't have any pesos yet, I gave the driver a tip in US dollars.

The staff was waiting at the airport with a sign on time, but the bus we needed didn't arrive for an hour. I checked with the staff about where the bus was and how much longer we would have to wait, but the driver only said he had talked on the phone and couldn't tell us when it would arrive. Naturally, there was no apology, and by the time I called to complain to the shuttle company, the bus finally arrived. After that, we picked up two groups of passengers heading in the same direction at a different terminal, so I imagine we were made to wait to gather more people. Since we were heading to the Riviera Maya instead of Cancun, it might be that not enough people gathered, but we were just left waiting for an hour without any explanation, which was extremely inconvenient. It was disappointing to have our much-anticipated trip start off this way. I don't think I will use this service again.

At Cancun Airport, there were a lot of people, so it took me about five minutes to find the sign for "VELTRA." After that, we smoothly moved to the car and were taken to the hotel with other guests (Japanese). I felt reassured by the thorough management of the luggage. The driver explained Cancun in English. I think some Japanese may not fully understand, but since we are in a foreign country, I made an effort to listen and get used to English.
