This was a great adventure and our guide was very good!
I do think one should be warned a little more of how muddy the trail to the falls is, but even with that it was beautiful and fun. I would recommend this to anyone younger and in decent shape...if you have bad knees or are excessively heavy you would be much more prone to injury on the hike.
Overall experience was fabulous!

Good Time. Had a wonderful day. The tour guide was friendly and provided a lot of interesting facts and trivia about Oahu on the drive up, as well as the trip back. Once at the North Shore the choice activities and the loosely organized agenda made for an enjoyable day. Would definitely recommend. Great value.

We were looking for a tour to see the North Shore but have the freedom to do what we want to do....we couldn't have picked a better tour. This is the perfect tour for people looking for freedom to do/go where they want. We had Sam as our tour guide, a native from Hawaii. He was informative and very the perfect style of guide for this tour. Knew what he was talking about, laid back but still detail oriented enough to handle everyone's activities and where they were. We went there the day of the Volcom Pipe Pro at the Pipeline. We rented bikes at the North Shore Surf Shop (an included activity with the tour - no extra charge) and that allowed us to go freely around. We rode up to the surf competition to watch live. The nice part was with the bikes, you were stuck in one spot the whole time. Watched the competition, then rode down the coast to Sharks Cove and Waimea Bay. It was great to have no schedule or "planned activities" when we got there. We had 3 hours to do what we want. Some wanted nothing to do with the surf competition and they could do what they want. Everyone had their own agenda and this tour worked great with it. (For a quick bite to eat, hit up Pupukea Grill. Its a food truck in Sharks Cove with a heavenly flatbread.) Met back next to Sharks Cove for the bus and rode to Haleiwa for the afternoon. Again, free time through the town to experience the city itself or do water activities at Surf N Sea. We wanted to experience the town, so we went into the surf shops, stores and walked around the town itself. (For a great sandwich, hit up Waialua Bakery and Juice Bar next to the grocery store...phenomenal.) For being a smaller town, Haleiwa is a very cool town to experience. After the town, we were to a beach to view the sea turtles that come on shore. It was amazing to see the turtles that close.

Our day for this adventure was sunny and warm. The ten of us were excited to get underway and see the secret waterfall hidden amongst the trees.
The kayaks we were given were ocean kayaks and were very comfortable and easy to use.
After a very muddy hike, the cool clean water of the pool by the beautiful waterfall was very much appreciated. The hike was much muddier than expected, and at times we were slogging through muddy puddles where we could not see our feet. It was dangerous at times. Perhaps a little more preparation for those participating would be beneficial. The guides are used to the conditions and may forget that us regular folk from snow country may not be as accustomed to mud and such.

Our guide was well-versed in the natural plants, and even made us bracelets from the leaves of a tree. He was patient, and very knowledgeable.
Lunch was good and nutritious, and we were all hungry by the time we got to the waterfall.
We would do this trek again, but might check in first to see what the mud factor is!

Really well organised trip - from bus pick-up to drop off. All staff were exceptionally professional placing a great emphasis on safety. Our guide knew the area extremely well and provided intriguing insights in to the local environment. I went by myself and had a great time with the group I was allocated. I have never kayaked or snorkeled before. The kayaking was great the instructor/guide went over everything with us. I liked it so much I will start doing it here at home. My wife loved the snorkeling. I had a bit of an issue in the begging because I sink in water so once I put the life vest on I was good to go. I recommend a gopro camera for some unforgettable footage.

Went on this for one of our honeymoon activities! A lot of fun! We got a complimentary shuttle from our Waikiki Hotel and then watched a video and were sent on our self guided trip! You can visit and small island while kayaking or kayak to another beach and go snorkeling! We even saw a sea turtle! Definitely would recommend and lunch was included! Beautiful beach!

The "Surf Bus" Rocked my world, got timed out and lost my heartfelt compliments. I can't rewrite my praises. It does not do justice. Going to try:
Sam was an amazing guide, the playing, eating, and listening on the North Shore, my taste of heaven. Just visualize; Sea Turtles, tidal pools and an eye to eye with an Eagle Ray, food to die for, and 1000 reasons to keep coming back. An awesome "build your own burger". Surprise yourself and go for it! Not a sit and stare tour, unless your waiting for a set, or focused on sea turtles. You still get to do your driving. Came back exhausted and completed. 50 years in and now I figure out happy. Better late than never.
Mesmerized by the bright smiles, and sense of community that emerged as we talked through our day. 20 people, 5 countries and a bevy of dialects. It was right Kraky, but no worries mate.

ガイドをつけずに自力での参加でしたが、スタッフの方が声をかけてくださったり、助けてくださったりして、助かりました。フラットアイランドへ上陸しましたが、島の案内や回り方などを丁寧に説明していただいているガイド付きの方たちを見ていると、「つけた方が良かったかな＾＾」と思いましたが、自分たちのペースでゆっくりとやれたので満足しています。
このツアーは滞在時間が短いので、次はもっとゆっくり行きたいと思います。
カヤックは早々に切り上げ、スタッフお勧めのピザを齧りながら（本当においしかった！）シュノーリングをしました。すぐにウミガメを発見！これが一番の思い出かな。
海はワイキキビーチと違い、とても綺麗で人口密度もまだ少なく（平日だったから？）、これぞハワイのビーチ！という感じでした。
カヤック、遊泳、シュノーケリングを少しずつ楽しむには最高だと思います。

Best way to visit the North Shore Area. There is so much to do on this tour I only wished it had lasted longer. We snorkeled at sharks cove where we saw beautiful fish and sea turtles, swam under a waterfall at Waimea Valley, visited sunset beach and turtle beach. We then hung out and ate in Haleiwa town. There are different options to choose from depending on your package. We missed Waimea bay - could not fit into schedule. Maybe next time. Highly recommend if you are NOT renting a car.

娘と2人乗りカヤックでフラットアイランドまで行きました。
フラットアイランドでは、海鳥の卵を見ることができ、とても良い経験が出来ました。海はとても綺麗でまた行ってみたいところです。
カヤックを海まで運ぶのがちょっと辛いですが、その後の爽快感は格別です。昼食のピザ屋さんでは、小鳥も寄ってきて楽しい時間を過ごせました。

This was a great tour because it covered three (3) sports in one (1) tour. Our tour guide Jamie was very good in all respects. I would just say be prepared to get a workout. For those that don't exercise, you might want to consider something else. You don't have to be a marathon runner, but if you are a couch potato this might be a stretch for you.

初めてでもスタッフが丁寧に教えてくれたので、不安なく参加出来ました。
海のきれいさにも感動！
ただ、ここ最近では珍しいほど天候の条件が良かったらしく、特に苦労せず無人島まで辿り着けたので多少物足りなさを感じました。
カヤック経験者の方は、カヤックのみ借りて自由に動き回った方が面白いかも知れません。

あと、ランチに食べたガイドさんオススメのピザがうまかったです。

カヤック初体験だったので、無人島まで行くのは大変じゃないかな？と心配しましたが、まったく問題ありませんでした!カヤックに乗りこむ前に漕ぎ方のレクチャーがあり、海に出てからもガイドさんがアドバイスしてくれます。
日頃の運動不足のせいで、腕が少し疲れましたが(^ｰ^;)、カヤックから望む素晴らしい景色でそんなものは吹っ飛んでしまいます!!!
無人島では、希望すればシュノーケルもできます。
次回はもう少し長い距離に挑戦したいなと思います。

午前中のツアーは、カヤックをSHOPからビーチまで運ぶのですが、台車が付いていたので、ラクラクでしたよ。台車から下ろして、砂浜の上を移動させるのが少し大変でした(といっても、ほんの少しの距離です)

This was really a fun and beautiful experience. Jessie was our guide, and he did a wonderful job. We were late starting, but that was because in the group prior to us he had a blind man and two elderly. It shows his patience that these three were able to complete this adventure. Let me state this is not for those who are not moderate to fit. The paddle can be tough if the wind is blowing (which it normally is). 今回シーカヤック初挑戦でしたが、大変楽しかったです。途中、バランスを崩して横転してしまいましたが、ガイドのジョーダン君にすぐに立て直してもらい、楽しく過ごせました。無人島では景色が良かったのでカメラを持ってくれば良かったと思いました(防水の荷物入れを貸してくれます)。次回は必ず持っていこうと思います。カイルアのビーチは本当に気持ちよく、ツアー前半の自由時間はレンタルのゴザを敷いてぼーっとするのも気持ち良いかもしれません。余談ですが、お昼のプレートランチのテリヤキチキンも美味しかったです。

天気にも恵まれとてもいい思い出になりました。
店からカヤックを海まで引っ張っていくのは、女子にはきついかもだけど、
それも経験ということで♪
海は想像以上にきれいでした。
海ガメにもにカヤックで、二回見れました(*^^*)
シュノーケルはあんまり…でしたが、ランチは選べて
よかったです。おいしかった。
時間があったので、ランチ後にレンタサイクルで
街を散策しにいきました。
時間もちょうどよく、いいツアーでした。

My wife and I made reservations online through VELTRA. I knew nothing more than the reviews posted on here (VELTRA/hawaiian activities) and a travel guide book. We enjoyed our morning paddle hike and tour so much! A great adventure that would not have been accomplished so smoothly on our own. It was our first time down the trail. It rains in Kauai, a lot, so the trail was mostly muddy. The guide for the trip kept us safe and informed about how to get there best. He also lead us on hawaiian time for the return trip. Allowing us all more time at the falls since our group was composed entirely of families. I appreciated that very much and a thank you to anyone from the company who reads this. Do not expect that though on your trip, we were lucky that no tour group was scheduled in the afternoon. Our stay on the island began the last week of April, until the first week of May.

You don't have to help the guide, but its friendly to do so. I bet you'll get a better trip out of it.

Had a great time. We go to Hawaii once a year, and have gone on almost every tour. The best thing about this was the tremendous flexibility to do and swap activities. Not a "tourist" tour. Little fubar on scheduling, but the drive Harry made up for that. Time with Harry was as good or better than seeing the falls!!
