投稿者: CDM, 2022/09/10The large deck for viewing was definitely a plus from when I was there back in 2007. Just a little disappointing that the frems were so few. I guess that hurricane did more damage to the environment then I thought.
Music was wonderful as always.
Boat ride also pleasant. Guide giving information about the area along the river was very helpful.

投稿者: 何でも体験チャレンジャー, 2022/09/10ワイメア川の穏やかな流れを、上流へ向けて遊覧船で進むと、カヤックで下るツーリストと手を降りながら、お互いに楽しい休日を過ごしている一時でした。船着き場から南国の植物や、花に囲まれた遊歩道を上りきると上空に、したたる水と長い植物しだ？がたれて、黒く見える穴が確かにあった。ハワイ先住民の王族しか訪れることができなかった場所だそうだが。今は結婚式もできるパワースポット。2時間程のツアーだが、すごく充実感を味わえた。

Beautiful hidden spot

一応想定内でした
投稿者: あやじゅん, 2022/09/018月18日、15時30分のツアーに参加しました。日本人は我々3名だけでしたが、70人くらいは乗船しベンチは8割方埋まっていました。流れをほとんど感じない川を30分弱上ると小さな船着場に到着、そこから5分ほど歩くと洞窟前に到着します。10数年前に崩落事故があり以後内部は立ち入り禁止です。採掘場の跡のような感じで、シダの茂り方も思ったより貧相な感じでした。洞窟前や帰りの船上でスタッフが歌やフラを披露してくれます。簡単な実技のレクチャーもあり、英語の解説ですがそれは楽しめました。

Lovely tour

Relaxing, but go earlier.
投稿者: Brenda, 2022/08/29It was a relaxing activity and great for littles, but I could sense the tiredness in the crew because we took the last tour of the day. Best to go earlier in the day. Also, be warned to bring bug spray with you on the jungle walk to the fern grotto! Fern grotto was beautiful, but hard to hear explanations over arguing children. Haha. Maybe it would be easier if thye had a loud speaker or megaphone at the fern grotto?

40 Years Later
投稿者: MEB, 2022/07/30While on this trip, we celebrated our 40th anniversary. We took the Wilua river cruise to the Fern Grotto 40 years ago on our honeymoon, and I'm happy to say that the best parts of this experience have not changed.
We were happy with the new decking in the Grotto, I only wish that they had wheel chairs available at the Grotto. My wife was unable to make it all the way to the main platform, so she missed out on the best part. Our main goal was four our three daughters and our grandson to see it, and they did!
Thank you for another great experience!

Fun cruise with a short walking tour

The more adventurous people would probably prefer that method of seeing the area. On the boat they taught a hula dance. Gave some interesting info on the walk. It is an easy trip.

Great Experience
投稿者: Grandpa, 2022/07/22My family went on this excursion to the Grotto because it looked so good in the brochures. The boat ride up and back was the best part in my opinion. The workers on the boat were very entertaining and told the history of the river and the Grotto.
On the way back they let us place our flowers in the river and tell a little about our mother who had passed away just a few days prior to this part of our trip.

Best ever tour for the money
投稿者: Lorraine and Vikki , 2022/07/20My wife and I enjoyed this tour more than all of the others. It was a beautiful, leisurely trip down the river to Fern Grotto. The scenery, and entertainment was wonderful! $30 per person is the best deal on the entire island. Don’t forget to tip.

A little suggestion, maybe next time, take the cruise a little further down where at least we can get a glimpse of the water fall, that will be awesome!!!!

Boat ride was so relaxing!

Not worth it if you have to get transportation there…

The captain had corny jokes; from the boat, you couldn’t see anything but the hau trees that lined the river; once you get to the grotto, it’s a pretty view but you’re 50-100yards from the cave entrance. The family sang but with all the people there, you could barely hear.
The taxi ride from Poipu was $70 each way. Add that to the cost of 2 tickets($60), this tour was not worth $200. Had we been located closer to the harbor, we might have been able to justify the cost.

River Cruise to Fern Grotto
投稿者: Cindy , 2022/06/05The experience was okay, and easy for most. The river cruise was relaxing and walk to the Grotto was not strenuous. However, the Fern Grotto was disappointing. It did not look like a "grotto" at all. The musical entertainment was okay but nothing to rave about. Something to do for seniors and children; otherwise, the tour is nothing to be excited about.
