Experiencing three islands in one day, including a mangrove tour, was wonderful. Yufu Island is definitely a must-visit, and the island itself was very nice. However, there were some people who weren't very skilled with the sanshin, which was a bit disappointing, and the different sounds coming from several carts created a chaotic atmosphere, so that service might not be necessary. Also, the shop on Iriomote Island was closed when we wanted to go back, and there wasn't enough time on the way there, so I would like them to consider the timing better.

As for the main attraction, Taketomi Island, the explanation from the young male guide on the cart was very monotonous and lacked enthusiasm. It felt like he was just reciting a script without engaging, which I thought was a waste of time. I would have liked some guidance on renting bicycles and other activities once we arrived on the island. I arrived at Kyoto Station by Shinkansen and headed to the taxi stand at Hachijo Exit. There was a separate waiting line for reserved taxis, and the taxi arrived right on time.

Having a chartered taxi for sightseeing with my elderly mother was the best choice; even in May, the summer heat was intense, and it was a relief for me too!

I had planned a course with four temples that had fewer stone steps, making it easier for the elderly to walk. However, on the day, the driver suggested some changes, and we visited Chishaku-in → Sennyu-ji → Shogunzuka → Eikando → back to the hotel, arriving exactly four hours later. We had plenty of time to explore each temple.

Normally, I would use buses or the subway, but when traveling with the elderly, a sightseeing taxi is truly convenient. Plus, they can take pictures for you, so depending on your needs, I think you can enjoy a more fulfilling sightseeing experience.

I heard that it's also recommended for cherry blossom and autumn foliage illuminations, so I would like to try it next time.

普段はバスや地下鉄で回りますが、お年寄りと一緒の場合は観光タクシーは本当に楽ちんで、お写真も撮っていただるので、目的に応じて利用すると、より充実した観光が楽しめると思いました。

桜や紅葉のライトアップのはしごなどにも、おススメとお聞きしたので、次回、利用してみたいと思いました。

At the Okurayama Jump Stadium, we had an hour, and since the lift wasn't crowded, we bought a lift ticket along with a ticket for the Olympic Museum. However, we hardly had any time to see the museum and rushed out in about 2-3 minutes to catch the bus. I thought it might have been better to choose just one of the two. 😅 At the outer market, I enjoyed a delicious seafood bowl. 😊 The Shiroi Koibito Park had beautiful flowers, and I was able to buy some souvenirs. 🙌 Thank you for a wonderful time! 🙇‍♀️
