I was able to visit two snow-covered villages, Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, in one day, and I also enjoyed lunch and a rice cracker baking experience.

1日に白川郷・五箇山2つの雪景色の集落を周る事が出来、また昼食とせんべい焼き体験もあって楽しむ事が出来た。

I had a day off while in Osaka for a live event, so I decided to give it a try. I participated alone, but I was able to have a fun day, and I am very grateful for that. I would like to use it again next time. Thank you very much!

We booked this tour for our first day in Japan.
It was a great introduction to Japanese culture and history.
The pickup and timing was all very efficient. The two tour guides where friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining.

The tour was really enjoyable and educative. The sceneries were amazing. The tour guide was very kind and accommodating to assist us and extend extra services to his customers.
It was only frustrating that we did not reach the 5th station since the access was closed due to the climate condition. However, the overall experience was great

I booked a 12 hour private tour for a group of 8 with transportation - October,2017.
Our quide (Taiji) met us at the Yokohama port (we arrived via cruise ship) at the designated time. We visited Rikugien Japanese Gardens, Imperial Palace-East Garden, National Museum of Tokyo, Senso-ji temple & Nakamise St.
We had an amazing lunch and traditional Japanese dinner. The only thing would have been to have some time for shopping. We also went to Shibuya Crossing before returning to Yokohoma. The weather was rainy so that contributed to a long day!

Guide needs a microphone in van so all can hear him.

Our group was VERY pleased with the service and sites!

Do Not hesitate to use Veltra!

It was very good! I would like to use it again or recommend it! It would probably be tough to visit these three places in one day without a tour or taxi.

On January 7th, I participated alone from Yamaguchi during the middle of a three-day weekend. I usually enjoy exploring places by myself, but it had been a while since I signed up for a proper tour; the last time was about ten years ago when I went to Mongolia.

The itinerary started with my main destination, Shirakawa-go. Fortunately, we were blessed with great weather, completely calm with no wind, allowing me to fully enjoy the scenery without feeling cold. For lunch, we had a feast at the only hot spring facility in Shirakawa-go, featuring the blessings of the mountains. It was delicious! I was particularly impressed by the mountain vegetables and miso.

In the afternoon, we headed to another World Heritage site, Ainokura in Gokayama. Compared to Shirakawa-go, it was much smaller, and honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but it truly felt like a hidden gem! With few tourists and the excellent weather, I was able to enjoy a peaceful time. Personally, it left a stronger impression on me than Shirakawa-go.

Finally, we visited a rice cracker workshop. Freshly made rice crackers, which I rarely get to eat, were surprisingly delicious. Both the driver and the tour guide were wonderful people, making it hard to say goodbye. Next time, I hope to arrange my schedule to participate with my family. Thank you very much.

1月7日、3連休の中日に山口から独りで参加しました。
いつも独りであちこち散策するのを趣味としていますが、ちゃんとしたツアーに申し込むのは久しぶり、確か最後は10年ほど前にモンゴルへ行って以来となります。
旅程はまず本命の白川郷、ラッキーな事に好天に恵まれて、全くの無風で寒さを感じる事なく景色を十二分に堪能させて頂きました。
お昼は白川郷唯一の温泉施設内の宴会場で、山の恵みをご馳走になりました。これがまた美味！特に山菜と味噌には感動しました。
午後からはもう一つの世界遺産、五箇山の相倉へ。白川郷に比べると随分と小規模で、正直あまり期待していませんでしたが、まさに秘境！観光客も少なく、抜群の天候も重なり静かな時間を満喫させて頂きました。個人的には白川郷より印象に残っております。
最後はお煎餅の体験工房、滅多に口にできない焼きたての煎餅ですが、こんなに美味しいとは驚きました。
運転手様、添乗員様共にお人柄がまた素晴らしく、お別れの時間が辛くなる程でした。次回は何とか都合をつけて、家族同伴で参加させていただきたいと思います。

Shirakawa-go and Gokayama in the snow were truly wonderful! The guide's stories were interesting and entertaining. I want to go again in a warmer season. The rice cracker baking experience wasn't necessary.

My husband and I took this tour as part of our first full day in Tokyo. We didn't really know what to expect. We are normally brave travelers who use public transit to see metropolitan cities. However, the more I researched more about Tokyo's attractions the more I began to feel overwhelmed. Enter Veltra and the Grand Tour Highlights with English Guide and Lunch Included!!! It was everything we could've hoped for. A great mix of traditional Japanese shrines and temples with a touch of modern tour attractions. The tour guides were so informative and friendly. Our bus driver was skilled and friendly, too. We actually missed our meeting time by 7min (because we exited the wrong exit in the Tokyo train station - we should've given ourselves more time to navigate that train station...read it'll take you 15 minutes - no joke- to go from one end to the other). Even though we missed our scheduled pick-up time, because we had pre-paid they left someone behind to wait for us and take us by cab (we paid $11 for the cab ride) to where the bus was making it's final pick up of people. The lunch that was included was delicious! We felt like we had enough time at each stop to explore on our own and make it back to the bus. Our guides were always very clear about what time and where exactly to find the bus. They counted us each time to make sure we didn't get lost - we felt very safe and well taken care of.

I was so impressed with the booking process on Veltra that I did not hesitate to book a similar tour to this in Kyoto. The instant confirmation and voucher system on the app makes it easy to use on the go!

Our tour guide, Masayuki (Masa is his nickname), was very kind and patient to us. He speaks good english so there was no language barrier. He always tries to grant our requests such as bathroom breaks etc. Since it is a private tour, the tour itself is very flexible.

I am a returning customer of dicovery tours/veltra. The 1st time was last january 1,2017 and this time december 1,2017.

The tour guide and the driver were both very pleasant and accommodating.

On that day, it snowed heavily, and I was able to fully enjoy the winter scenery of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama.

The explanations provided by the tour guide, which were not included in the guidebook, were very informative. The stories about the Yashiki-mori and the Kodo gate were particularly interesting.

Additionally, the information about shops and souvenirs was very helpful. I was able to visit different shops on that day and the next, enjoying reasonably priced and delicious meals. I also had no trouble selecting souvenirs.

I'm sorry I forgot the name of the tour guide. I had a wonderful trip in Kanazawa. Thank you very much!

当日、たっぷり雪が降り、冬の白川郷、五箇山を堪能できました。

添乗員さんのガイドブックには載っていない説明、勉強になりました。屋敷森や鼓門の話などとても面白かったです。

また、お店やお土産情報、大変参考になりました。当日、翌日、違ったお店に行き、リーズナブルで美味しいお料理をいただくことができました。また、お土産もスムーズに選べました。

This is our first trip to Mt. Fuji and we love the trip arranged by Taiji-san. We have no problem to communicate with him because he speak very well in English. And he tried to understand our need before start up the trip. He is kind of caring and understanding person.. Thanks for making this wonderful day to all of us!

We really had a great time to our visit to Mt. Fuji with Taiji and this is our second time to get our tour arrangement with him. He suggest all the best place to visit aside from the given places to visit. We will definitely contact him again with for our future guests.

My wife initially prepared for a day of travel guided in English, boarding a medium-sized bus in front of Kanazawa Station. However, we were grateful for the spacious atmosphere inside the bus, which accommodated our group of four, an elderly couple, and another group of nine consisting of two daughters and their mother. The guide was considerate of our group having a foreigner and subtly included English explanations throughout the journey, for which my wife was very thankful. She was also impressed by how smooth and excellent the guide's English explanations were. The free exploration time in Shirakawa-go and Gokayama was ample, and the lunch was fulfilling and delicious.

On November 12th, we were blessed with good weather, and the autumn leaves were at their peak, making for a wonderful trip. Thank you very much.

家内は当初,今日も一日英語でガイドしながらの旅を覚悟して金沢駅前から中型バスに乗り込みました。ところが何と我々４名と老夫妻ともうひとグループはお嬢さん二人とお母さんの９名のゆったりとした車内の雰囲気に先ず感謝でした。ガイドさんが我々のグループに外人がいることに配慮して態々さりげなく随所に英語での説明を交えて道中ガイドしてくれた事に家内はまず大感謝でした。しかもガイドさんの英語の説明がサラリとしていて絶妙だったことにも感心していました。現地白川郷、五箇山での自由散策は時間的にも十分で、昼食も充実していて美味しかったです。
１１月１２日と好天に恵まれ紅葉も見頃で最高の旅が出来ました。

We took a tour visiting three main spots, and it was just my husband and I along with another young couple who were also Japanese, while the rest were from various countries. Kyoto was incredibly crowded even on a weekday. Instead of lining up in a single file from where we got off the bus to the site, we went in a scattered manner, making it challenging for the tour guide to ensure everyone was together. Our time at Fushimi Inari was short, so it felt a bit rushed. There were many stalls, and I wanted to try some street food, but since we had chosen a lunch course, I held back. We joked that next time we should go for a course without lunch, but the tofu course we had for lunch was so delicious that I was glad we ordered it... such a tough decision!

On the way back, it was evening, so there was traffic. Since we had a specific time for the Shinkansen and weren’t staying overnight, I was a bit anxious. We were dropped off partway and took the train back, making it with plenty of time to spare. I think it’s better to plan our travel considering such things for peace of mind. Both the tour guide and the driver were very pleasant, which was great. It was a quick bus tour, but it was very enjoyable and delicious. Thank you very much! (*^o^*)

主要3箇所を巡るツアー、私達夫婦ともう一組若いご夫婦だけが日本人(笑)で後は数カ国の人達。やはり京都は平日でも物凄い人だらけ。バスを降りた場所から現地まで一列に並んで行くわけではなくバラバラで添乗員さんは全員揃っているかの確認が大変そう。伏見稲荷の滞在時間は短いのでなんだか慌ただしかった。露店がいっぱいあり食べ歩きもしたかったがお昼を食べるコースにしていたので我慢した。次回は昼なしのコースがいいねと言いながらいざお昼の豆腐のコースはとっても美味しくてやっぱ
り頼んでいて良かったね…なんて難しい判断(笑)
帰りは夕方なのでやはり車の渋滞。その日は泊まりでなく新幹線の時間が決まっていたのでドキドキ。途中で降ろしてもらい電車で帰って余裕で時間に間に合った。そういうことも考慮して自分達の旅行プランをたてた方が安心していられると思った。添乗員さん、運転手さんは二人とも感じがよくて良かった。あっと言う間のバスツアーだったけれどとても楽しく美味しくいいツアーでした。ありがとうございました(*^o^*)

We are 9 persons with grandparents & children; Mr Phang is speaking mandarin, as we requested 6 hours private tour to visit some places:
1. Shimokitazawa Area
2. Ameyoko Market
3. Harujuku- Kiddy land
4. Rikuen Garden

Mr Phang is very good tour leader, he guides us how to walk around Ameyoko Market.

My families feel very comfortable to have a tour arranged, with very reasonable price compared with other website. Recommended to all travelers!

This was my first time participating. I had only planned to use it for transportation, but the female guide was wonderful. I was captivated by her stories. She was knowledgeable about the local history, and I felt her intelligence. It was very informative! I wasn't bored at all. However, I thought the rice cracker experience was a bit unnecessary. That's all.

交通手段だけの利用と割り切っていましたがガイドの女性が素晴らしかった。
話に聞き入りました。
地元の歴史に詳しくて知性を感じました。博識ですね❗
退屈しませんでした。
ただひとつ煎餅体験はちょっと不要かなと思いました。

The tour guides from the morning to afternoon tour were great. Though the weather wasnt good yet the tour conducted so well. Grayline company is highly recommended.

It was my first trip to Osaka, and I took a bus journey from Osaka to Kyoto. Most of the passengers were foreigners, and there were only two Japanese people, so I was a bit anxious at first. However, there was a guide speaking in Japanese, which made it feel like I was in a foreign country, and I had a great time. The places the guide recommended for souvenirs and tea were spot on. I would definitely like to use this service again on my next trip.

初めての大阪の旅行で大阪から京都のバスの旅でした。海外の方がほとんどで日本人は2人だけで最初は不安でしたが、日本語でのガイドもあり異国にいるような感覚でとても楽しかったです。ガイドの方の言われたたとおりにお土産の場所やお茶の場所とか教えていただいた所がバッチリでした。
また旅行の際は使いたいと思いました。

I was prepared for crowds during the holiday, but thanks to the planning by White Link, I’m not sure if that was the reason, but I didn’t get caught in traffic and everywhere wasn’t too crowded. I enjoyed the autumn leaves, the snow-covered Hakusan mountain range, and the waterfalls along the White Road, and everything was lucky with the clear weather. The staff were friendly and were helpful to foreign tourists. It felt really nice.

連休中日で混雑を覚悟していましたが、ホワイトリンクの計画のおかげかは分からないけれど渋滞にまきこまれることなく何処もそれ程混んでいなかった。ホワイトロードで紅葉、雪化粧の白山連峰、滝、を楽しみ、快晴ですべてラッキーでした。スタッフは気さくで外国人観光客の相談に乗っていました。とてもいい感じでした。

Okay. A fair bit of time in the morning waiting but that's to be expected in such a big city where everyone is coming from different places. Wouldn't really recommend for solo travelers. A little bit isolating at lunch as everyone is put to sit with their groups. Other tours would be better if you're on your own, and the spots are easily accessible on your own by subway.

Departing in a somewhat mysterious space among foreigners! Everyone was friendly, and it felt fresh, as if I were in another country. The driver and the guide were also very refreshing. The step platform for getting in and out of the car was appreciated. The explanations from Japanese to English made me feel like I understood a bit of English, which was quite an enjoyable experience.

外国人の方に混じって、ちょっと不思議な空間で出発！
皆さんフレンドリーで何処の国にいるのやら……新鮮でした。
運転手さんも、ガイドさんもとても新鮮でした。車の昇降にステップ台は有り難かったです。
日本語から英語での説明は英語がちょっと理解できた気がしてなかなか楽しい経験でした。

We went on a family trip with our 2-year-old son. Both the guide and the driver were very kind, and it was the best first bus tour for my son. The day we originally booked was canceled due to a typhoon, but since we had gone all the way to Kanazawa, we decided we still wanted to go and rebooked the same tour for the next day. It was an unusually clear day in Shirakawa-go. The air and scenery were beautiful, and both my mother and son enjoyed it to the fullest. If we have another opportunity, I would like to participate in a different tour as well.

2歳の息子を連れて家族旅行をしました。ガイドさんも運転手さんもとても優しいお方で、息子にとって初めてのバスツアーは最高でした。
元々予約していた日は台風の影響で中止になりましたが、せっかく金沢まで行ったのでやっぱり行きたいと思い翌日の同じツアーを改めて予約しました。白川郷にとって珍しい快晴の日でした。空気も景色もとても綺麗で、母も息子も思い存分楽しめました。
又機会がありましたら別のツアーも参加してみたいと思っております。

Morning guide was terrific! Afternoon guide was very good. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I participated in a bus tour alone for the first time. At first, I was anxious, but I ended up having a great time and made wonderful memories without worrying at all. The tour guide also pointed out the best sights, and I was able to take many great photos. I believe I gained valuable experience. Thank you very much.

Guide excellent. A lot of walking, but a good Tokyo first getting acquainted

Took awhile to locate the guide at the port. Would have been easier to find with a more prominent sign. We had 7 people with luggage which completely filled the van. Ended up taking the luggage to our hotel first before starting the tour. Despite the somewhat rocky start due to the van size for our party we ended up having a good day. I would suggest no more than 5 people for that size van when you consider the luggage. The guide was wonderful and went out of her way to ensure we had a good tour and lunch spot. Would do again but with less people.

The guide on the day was an intern. There was also a veteran guide on board, but they only greeted the passengers at the beginning, and after that, the intern took charge the entire time.

I was satisfied with the content of the tour itself. However, the intern's guidance was so poor that it was the worst experience. They ended every explanation with "it seems like..." and kept asking the veteran guide questions during the tour, getting corrected each time.

When they said "it seems like..." I felt like saying, "I could have looked that up myself!" I didn't understand the purpose of having a guide. Before the sightseeing, they said, "I recommend this place," but when we went there, it was closed for the day. After returning from the sightseeing, they casually mentioned, "I forgot that place is closed today." Even though they are an intern, I was astonished at how little they knew.

Also, their way of speaking was rough. They might have intended to be friendly, but they didn't use Japanese correctly and relied too much on slang, which made it hard to listen to. I wouldn't say the intern guide was bad, but I think they should study more internally before presenting themselves in front of customers.

当日のガイドさんがインターンの人でした。ベテランのガイドさんも乗っていたのですが、最初に乗客に挨拶しただけで、あとはずっとインターンが取り仕切っていました。
ツアーの内容自体は満足でした。
ですが、インターンの案内が下手過ぎて最悪でした。すべての説明の語尾に「～らしいです」とつけるのです。案内の途中でもベテランガイドさんにいちいち質問してるし、訂正されてるし。
「～らしいです」って言われても、そんなのあなたから聞かなくても、自分で調べられるわ！って言いそうになりました。なんのためのガイドか意味がわかりませんでした。
観光前に「〇〇がお勧めです」と言いながら、そのお店は行ってみたら当日閉まっているし。観光から戻ってきて帰路についたら、「〇〇は今日閉まっているの忘れてましたー」ってのうのうと言いのけるし。いくらインターンと言えど、何も把握してなくて、呆れました。
あと、話し方が乱暴です。フレンドリーにしたいつもりなのかもしれませんが、日本語も正しく使用できていないし、若者言葉を多用しすぎで聞き苦しかったです。インターンのガイドが悪いとは言いませんが、お客様の前に出す前に、社内で勉強してから人前に出るべきだと思いました。
