I participated during Golden Week.
The weather was cloudy, but I was able to enjoy the blue sea of Kerama. It was a great experience to see turtles while snorkeling.
I brought my GoPro, but the instructor also took a lot of photos.
I had an advanced license, but I had plenty of fun.

ゴールデンウイークに参加しました。
天気は曇りでしたが、慶良間の青い海が堪能できました。スノーケルではカメも見れて良い経験になりました。
ゴープロを持参しましたが、インストラクターの方もたくさん写真を撮ってくれました。
アドバンスのライセンスを持っていましたが、十分楽しめました。

It was forecasted to rain, but although the wind was strong, we managed to avoid getting wet.
I participated from Toyama City, and I had a great time learning so many new things.
It mentioned stopping by a spring, so we were discussing whether to bring something to put it in, but I was happy to receive a cute bottle.
The snow wall, the snowy mountains, and the waterfall were all incredibly impressive.
I was very satisfied to see the ptarmigan as well.
Walking in the snowy mountains left my body sore the next day, but I really enjoyed it.

雨予報でしたが、風は強かったですがなんとか降られずにすみました。
富山市内からの参加でしたが、知らないことばかりでとても楽しめました。
湧き水の所に立ち寄ると書いてあったので、何か入れるもの持ってく？と話していましたが、かわいいボトルをもらえて嬉しかったです。
雪の大谷も雪山も滝も迫力満点ですごかったです。
雷鳥も見れて大満足でした。
雪山を歩いたことで、翌日体がバキバキになりましたが、とても楽しめました。

We started towards Jomon Sugi at 6 AM with a pickup at 4:20 AM! There were a lot of people due to Golden Week, but it seemed to be less crowded than usual for a busy season.

My group had eight people.

Our guide was a friendly local who shared many stories with us.

The stairs known as "Hell's First to Fourth Streets" were quite tough, but I'm glad we persevered and made it to Jomon Sugi.

We returned to the starting point before 4 PM.

The next day, I had muscle soreness in my butt and legs.

I love solo travel and conquered all the prefectures two years ago. I didn't have a goal at the moment, but I decided I wanted to see Jomon Sugi, so I visited Yakushima for the first time.

I'm glad I went while I’m still healthy.

朝４時２０分のお迎えで６時前に縄文杉に向けてスタート！
ＧＷでたくさん人がいましたが、
繁忙期にしては少ない方だったようです。

私のグループは８人でした。

地元出身のガイドさんで気さくな方で、
いろいろお話してくださいました。

地獄の一丁目〜四丁目と言われる階段はかなり辛かったですが、
諦めずに縄文杉までたどり着けて良かったです。

１６時前にスタート地点に戻ってきました。

翌日はお尻や足が筋肉痛でした。

一人旅好きで一昨年全都道府県宿泊制覇をして、
今は目標がないのですが、
縄文杉は見てみたいと思い立ち、
初めて屋久島に行きました。

健康なうちにしか行けないので、行けて良かったです。

In the morning, we participated in kayaking, and in the afternoon, we went to the Blue Cave for snorkeling.

Although the three groups of participants had different ages and backgrounds, we all enjoyed ourselves together thanks to our guide's cheerful leadership!

In the morning, we had two male guides for kayaking. They were very kind to the children, and even the older girls enjoyed kayaking without fear! We were able to take a lot of photos, and they sent them to us right away on our phones, so we could check them immediately!

Lunch was free for a while, but they gave us great recommendations, so we could easily find a delicious place to eat!

In the afternoon, we had two female guides for snorkeling. During the jump into the Blue Cave, the older kids were a bit scared, which made us worry… (laughs). However, during snorkeling, the guides pulled us along with floaties, so we didn’t have to worry at all, and the adults enjoyed themselves too!

年齢も構成もバラバラだった参加3組でしたが、ガイドさんの明るいリードで一体になって楽しめました！

午前のカヤックは男性2人のガイドさんでした。子供達にも優しく接していただき、年長さんの女子も怖がらずカヤック楽しめました！写真もたくさん撮ってもらえましたし、その後すぐにケータイで送ってもらえたので、即チェックできました！

ランチは一旦フリーになりますが、オススメもしっかり教えてもらえたので、サクッと美味しいお店に入れました！

午後のシュノーケリングは女性2人のガイドさんでした。青の洞窟の飛び込みでは、年長さんが少し怖がって心配しましたが…笑。
その後のシュノーケリングの時は、ガイドさんにずーっと浮き輪で引っ張っていただいたので全く心配せず、大人は大人で楽しんでました！

We were a group of four with no trekking experience, but we were able to enjoy ourselves comfortably over the two days, thanks to our guide, Tsugimura. Thank you so much! During the trek, he provided us with many quizzes and games, which helped us bond with others and have fun. His explanations about the plants were entertaining, making it easy to remember everything! He also took beautiful photos for us, allowing us to bring back wonderful memories. He captured great angles that we couldn't have gotten ourselves, so while we took a few photos, we mostly left it to him.

We were fortunate with the weather, and on the first day, the Jomon Sugi and Wilson stump course was very comfortable. Although we sweated while climbing, we got cold during breaks, so I was glad I wore layers. The sun was also out, so a hat was a must. On the second day near Taiko Rock, it was windy, and although it didn't rain, wearing the rented raincoat to keep warm was just right. I had thoroughly researched rain gear and what to bring by asking online and friends, so I didn't face any issues.

Both Jomon Sugi and Shiratani Unsuikyo made me feel the power of nature. My skin and sleep quality improved significantly, and I still feel that even after returning from Yakushima. I was filled with anxiety about the long trek, but thanks to Tsugimura's guidance, by the time we descended, I was already thinking about wanting to go again. I truly want to visit again, and when I do, I hope to have Tsugimura as my guide once more.

トレッキング未経験の4人組でしたが、2日間無理なく楽しむことができました。それもこれもガイドを担当していただいた津曲さんのお陰です。本当にありがとうございました。トレッキング途中、たくさんのクイズやゲームを出してくれたおかげで他の方とも打ち解けながら楽しむことができました。植物の説明も面白おかしく教えてくれるおかげでしっかり覚えることができました！またとても綺麗に写真に収めて下さるので、いい思い出を持ち帰ることができました。自分たちでは撮れないようないい画角で素敵な写真を撮ってくれるので自分たちでも少し写真は取りましたが、ほとんどお任せしてました。天候にも恵まれたこともあり、1日目の縄文杉やウィルソン株コースは、快適に過ごせました。登っている時は汗ばむのですが、休憩で止まると体が冷えるので、脱ぎ着できる服装にしてよかったです。また日差しもあったので帽子はマストでした。2日目の太鼓岩付近では風が強く、雨は降っていなかったですが寒さを防ぐためにレンタルしたレインコートを着てちょうど良かったです。事前に雨対策や持ち物など、ネットや知人に聞くなどして入念に調べていたので困ることがなかったです。また縄文杉も白谷雲水峡も、どちらも自然のパワーを感じました。肌や睡眠の質が本当に良く、屋久島から帰って後もそれを実感しております、長時間のトレッキングになるので不安でいっぱいでしたが、津曲さんのガイドのおかげで、下山する頃にはまた行きたいと思ってました。本当にまた訪れたいと思います。その時はまた津曲さん、是非よろしくお願いします。

We experienced this as a family with our two elementary school children. The kind explanations and easy-to-understand commentary made it very enjoyable even for beginners. Since it was low tide, we were able to go under the mangroves and see many crabs and fish called "ton-ton-mi." Additionally, we unexpectedly encountered a mongoose and bats, which made it a great way to enjoy nature easily.

小学生の子供2人つれて家族で体験しました。
親切な説明と分かりやすい解説がつき、初心者でもとても楽しめました。
干潮時だったので、マングローブの下をくぐれたり、カニやトントンミーという魚もたくさん見られました。
さらに、偶然にもマングースとコウモリにも遭遇でき、お手軽に自然を堪能できてとてもよかったです。

In the morning, I was able to enjoy snorkeling at Shigira Beach with beautiful corals, fish, and even some small but cute sea turtles. In the afternoon, we paddled a canoe to the Pumpkin Cave. It was my first time exploring a cave in a swimsuit, and it was a mystical, moving experience that will remain a cherished memory. Ryoma, who was in charge, was bright and kind, making it a day of great joy for the children as well. On the way back, the wind picked up a bit and the waves were high, but the kids were excitedly playing in the waves, which also became a wonderful memory. It was the best day ever. Thank you very much!

午前中にはシギラビーチで綺麗な珊瑚や魚達、そして小さいながらもかわいいウミガメとのシュノーケリングを楽しむことが出来ました。そして、午後にはカヌーを漕いで、パンプキン鍾乳洞へ。水着での鍾乳洞探検は始めてでしたが神秘的で、感動的でとても思い出に残る体験となりました。担当していただいたRyomaさんも明るく優しく、子供達も大喜びの1日でした。帰りはやや風が強くなり、波が高かったのですが子供達は波に揉まれてはしゃいでいたのでそれもまたいい思い出になりました。最高の1日でした。ありがとうございました

I participated in a clear kayak tour. The weather was great that day, and while floating on the beautiful blue sea, I was able to see coral and fish.

The guide was kind and very gentle, which made me feel safe while kayaking.

And finally, the edited video from the drone footage we received... I was impressed by the high quality. This video could be used directly at a wedding for couples before they get married!

I definitely want to participate again when I come to Miyako Island. Thank you very much! \(◦´-`◦)/

クリアカヤックツアーに参加しました。
この日はお天気も良く、綺麗なブルーの海に浮かびながら、珊瑚やお魚を見ることができました。

ガイドさんも親切でとても優しく、安心してカヤックができました。

そして、最後に頂いたドローン撮影を編集した動画…。クオリティーの高さに感動しました。
↑この動画、ご結婚前のカップルなら、そのまま披露宴で使えますよ☆

宮古島に来た際は是非また参加したいです♪

Last year, the trip was canceled due to falling rocks, so this time it was a revenge trip. The snow at the Great Snow Wall exceeded my expectations. We heard stories and quizzes about Toyama's abundant water from Mr. Otsuka. It's an easy day trip bus tour. Having lunch on the snow while gazing at the Tateyama mountain range was fantastic. We walked through the snow from Murodo and were lucky to spot a pair of cute ptarmigans just before Mikurigaike. I want to go again next year.

昨年は落石でキャンセルとなり今回はリベンジでした。期待以上の雪の大谷。大塚さんから富山の豊富な水のお話やクイズあり。日帰りで楽々いけるバスツアーです。立山連峰を眺めながらの雪上ランチも最高。室堂から雪の中を歩き、みくりが池手前のところで可愛い雷鳥のツガイにも会えてラッキーでした。来年も行きたいです。

We participated as a couple.
The tour was packed with activities, starting with canoeing, followed by trekking, waterfall diving, and exploring a limestone cave.
I thought it might be physically demanding, but the guide led us at a comfortable pace, allowing us to enjoy everything safely without overexerting ourselves.
I have a hobby of birdwatching, and the explanations were not only clear regarding the birds but also about the plants and various aspects of the island. I was truly impressed by the professionalism of the guide.
Additionally, the Yaeyama soba for lunch and the homemade bread by the guide's wife were both very delicious.
Next time I come to Iriomote Island, I would like to request an original private tour.

夫婦で参加しました。
カヌーに始まり、トレッキング、滝壺ダイブ、鍾乳洞探索とメニュー満載のツアーでした。
体力的に厳しいかなと予想していましたが、ガイドの方がゆっくりと先導していただき無理せず安全に楽しめました。
野鳥観察が趣味なのですが、野鳥だけでなく植物や島のあれこれなど、説明がすごくわかりやすく、さすがにプロのガイドだなあと感心しました。
また、ランチの八重山そば、奥様お手製のパンもとても美味しかったです。
次に西表島に来るときはオリジナルのプライベートツアーをお願いしてみたいです。

I participated on May 4, 2023. I had some concerns after reading reviews about the Yakushima roadside station tour (the guide wasn't good), but it was completely the opposite, and I was very pleased. There might be some variability in experiences.

Due to the airline's baggage restrictions, I was anxious about not being able to bring my usual trekking poles. Once we started walking and passed through the trolley path into the mountain trail, I really regretted leaving my poles behind as it was tough to climb without them. However, the guide kindly lent me a pair, which I was very grateful for.

When we started descending, the guide quickly adjusted the length of the poles, suggesting it would be better to extend them. I noticed a long line at Wilson's stump, and the guide immediately decided we should stop on the way back, which turned out to be a good call as the line was shorter then.

Along the way, the guide provided explanations at various points, which eased my worries since I had read reviews stating that there was little to no explanation. During lunch, they boiled water and served miso soup.

I wanted to rate this experience as "excellent," but I had to lower it by one point due to issues with the packing list. I received an email from Veltra regarding what to bring, but it did not mention a portable toilet. Since I was supposed to call upon arriving in Yakushima, I contacted the roadside station tour, and they confirmed the need for a portable toilet. This is not something you can easily buy at a convenience store or supermarket, so it was quite troublesome. It would have been better to be informed the day before.

I knew the accommodation had a shop, and when I called them, they confirmed they sold portable toilets, so I managed to sort it out, but I wish the packing list had been more thorough. That was disappointing, so I lowered my rating. Without that issue, I would have wanted to give the guide a "perfect" score. The guide, Taiyo Yokota, was truly excellent. Thank you very much; I appreciate it. Including the roadside station tour's handling, I found it very disappointing, which is why I lowered my rating by one point.

2023年5月4日に参加しました。
屋久島道の駅観光の口コミ(ガイドがよくない)みたいな口コミをけっこう見たので心配もありましたが、全然そんなことはなく、よかったです。
当たりとハズレがあるのかもしれません。
飛行機の荷物制限で、いつも使っているストックを持っていけず不安でした。
歩き始めてトロッコ道をぬけ、山道になった時に、やっぱりいつも登山で使っているストックなしで登るのはきつくて、置いてきたことをすごく後悔しましたが、ガイドさんがストックを貸してくれ、とてもありがたかったです。
下りになるとストックを伸ばした方がいいと、さっと長さを調整してくださいました。
ウィルソン株で長蛇の列だったのを見て、「帰りによりましょう」と即時に判断され、帰りによると列がましでした。
歩いている途中、いろいろなポイントで説明もしていただきました。(口コミでは全然説明してくれなかったとあったので心配でした)
昼食時、お湯を沸かしてみそ汁をふるまってくれました。
評価を「最高でした」にしたかったのですが、ひとつさげたのは、持ち物に関してです。
ベルトラからメールで持ち物について連絡がありましたが、その中に携帯トイレはありませんでした。
屋久島に到着したら電話連絡することになっていたので道の駅観光に電話すると、持ち物についての確認があり、携帯トイレのことを言われました。
コンビニやスーパーですぐ買えるものではないので、こまりました。
前日に言われても困ります。
泊まる宿に売店があることを知っていたので、宿に電話すると携帯トイレが売ってるとのことだったので何とかなりましたが、持ち物リストはきちんとしてほしいです。
そこが残念だったので下げています。
それがなければガイドさんのためにも「最高」の評価をつけたかったです。
ガイドさんだけに関しては「最高」です。ガイドの横田たいようさん、本当にありがとうございます。感謝しています。
道の駅観光の対応が含めると、とても残念だったので、ひとつ下げました。

It was a very interesting tour, but honestly, it was quite hard. There were families with children, and they seemed to have a tough time.

As for the content, we paddled kayaks in pairs, got off near a cave to swim, and then entered inside. There were life jackets available, and the support from the guide was generous, so I didn't feel too anxious about it.

非常に面白いツアーでしたが、正直なかなかハードです。お子様連れの方もいましたが、大変そうに見えました。
内容としては2人1組でカヤックを漕ぎ、鍾乳洞近くで降りて泳ぎ、中に入っていく形です。ライフジャケットもあり、ガイドさんのサポートも手厚いのでそこまで不安に感じることもありませんでした。

I explored the night jungle with a guide. In May, when I went, I didn't even need insect repellent, and I borrowed a light from the guide to walk around. The light was bright enough, but if you want to see more creatures, it might be a good idea to bring a stronger light yourself.

As a result, I was very satisfied to see various creatures, including nearly ten coconut crabs. If you're lucky, you might also spot owls and bats. I was far more satisfied than I had expected, and I can confidently recommend this tour.

ガイドの方と一緒に夜のジャングルを回りました。私が行った5月では虫除けスプレー等も必要ないくらいで、ガイドの方からライトを借りて歩きました。順番明るいライトでしたが、よりたくさん生き物を見つけたいのであれば、自前で強めのライトを持参してもいいかもしれません。
結果として、ヤシガニ10匹弱をはじめとした様々な生き物が見れて大満足です。運が良ければフクロウやコウモリなども見れるようです。思っていたよりはるかに満足でき、自信を持っておすすめできるツアーです。

I was worried about whether my husband and I, being nearly 60 years old, would be able to keep up, but it was more fun than I expected. We found various insects and coconut crabs, and we even saw shooting stars. It was really great.

60才近い夫婦の為一緒について行けるか心配でしたが、思った以上に楽しかったです。色々な虫やヤシガニを見つけたり、流れ星も見れました。とっても良かったです。

I participated in a half-day tour in the morning, and it was amazing!

I think you can enjoy the scenery even if you climb on your own, but having a guide explain things deepens your understanding and makes it much more enjoyable. (The female guide was very attentive, knowledgeable, and above all, her professionalism was impressive; I felt fortunate to have met such a good guide.)

Miraculously, the weather was clear, and I enjoyed the atmosphere reminiscent of Studio Ghibli, with the ozone feeling refreshing. (There was a lot of humidity, but it seemed like pollen allergies wouldn't be a problem.)

However, I heard that it rarely clears up and that it often rains (and sometimes heavily). Since there are rocky areas to walk on and the mountain paths are so narrow that you can't pass each other, climbing in the rain would be quite challenging.

There are also two points to note:
(1) You might become a "lunch refugee." Depending on your flight arrival time and the descent time after the tour, you might not be able to have lunch. Most eateries close at 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM, and the information in pamphlets about their hours can be unreliable. For example, when you go to a restaurant listed as "OPEN 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM," you might find a sign saying it closes at 3:00 PM, or even if it says "closes at 2:00 PM," some places might close before that. You might end up wandering the island on an empty stomach, so it's better to plan and prepare for lunch.

(2) There are few sightseeing spots outside of the mountains, and access is poor. It can be challenging to spend time when you're not in the mountains. It would be great if you could reserve a rental car, but if you can't, you should consider that sightseeing will be nearly impossible. There are hardly any points of interest outside the mountains; there are a few waterfalls and nature centers, but they are off the bus routes, requiring a 20-minute to an hour walk from the bus stop. Moreover, buses only run once an hour, with the last one in the evening, and taxis require reservations. I went during Golden Week, but since the rental cars were fully booked, I tried to get around by bus, but I realized that sightseeing would be very difficult no matter how hard I tried. After seeing a few souvenir shops, I found myself just killing time, and I noticed many other tourists in the same situation, so I hope the tourism industry in Yakushima can improve. (I believe the guides and hotel staff are doing their best, but it feels like information is not consolidated, and the island as a whole seems very passive towards tourism.)

I hope this information is helpful.

午前中の半日ツアーに参加しましたが、最高でした！

個人で登っても景色に感激できると思いますが、
ガイドさんが説明してくれる事で、より理解も進んで、非常に楽しめました。
（女性のガイドの方でしたが、気配りや知識、何よりもプロ意識が凄く、良いガイドさんに巡り合えたと思います。）

奇跡的に快晴で、ジブリの雰囲気も楽しめて、オゾンも気持ちよかったのです。
（湿気も多く、花粉症も問題なさそうです。）

ただ、普段は晴れる事はめったになく、雨が多い（それも土砂降りの雨が多い）と聞きます。
岩場を歩く事もあり、山道もすれ違えないぐらい狭いので、雨の中の登山となると、大変だと思います。

後、注意点が２点あります。
(1) 昼食難民になる。
　飛行機の到着時刻や、ツアー後の下山時刻次第では、昼食を食べられなくなります。
　ほとんどの食堂が、13:00か14:00で閉まってしまいますし、
　食堂の時間が書かれているパンフレットの情報もあてになりません。
　「OPEN 11:00～16:30」と記載されている食堂に行くと、15:00閉店という看板が出ていたり、
　「14:00閉店」と記載されていても、14:00前に閉店してしまう店もあります。
　空腹のまま、島をうろつくことになるので、昼食の用意と計画は考えておいた方が良いです。
(2) 山以外の観光箇所が少なく、アクセスが悪い。
　山に入っていない間の時間の過ごし方が大変です。
　レンタカーを予約できれば良いのですが、予約できなかった場合は、ほぼ観光できないと考えた方が良いです。
　そもそも、山以外に、観光できるポイントがほとんどなく、
　滝や自然館等が少しありますが、バスのルートから外れていて、バス停から20分～１時間歩く箇所がある上に、
　バスも１時間に１本だけで、夕方が最終便ですし、タクシーも予約制となっています。
　GWに行ったのですが、レンタカーが埋まってしまっていた為、バスで移動しようとしましたが、どう頑張っても観光は難しいと思い知らされました。
　僅かな土産物屋を見た後は、ただ時間をつぶすだけという状況になり、
　同じような観光客を沢山見かけましたので、屋久島の観光業の方には是非改善して欲しいと思います。
　（ガイドやホテルの方等は頑張ってくれていると思いますが、情報が集約されていない上に、島全体が観光に対して非常に消極的であるように感じました。）

以上、参考になればと思います。

We paddled a canoe with our guide Tetsu (who only responds if you call him "Tetchan," haha), and what awaited us was an unimaginable view. A natural limestone cave... The scenery formed over thousands and tens of thousands of years was breathtaking, and we were healed by the negative ions that filled the entire cave!

The way there was calm, but on the return trip, the waves got higher, which made us a bit anxious, but I guess that's just part of the natural activity! Thanks to Tetchan's guidance, everyone was able to return safely. Thank you!

ガイドのてつさん(てっちゃんと呼ばないと返事しない人　笑)についてカヌーを漕ぎ、辿り着いた先には想像を絶する景色が広がっていました。天然の鍾乳洞...数千数万年かけて形成された自然の景色、洞窟全体に充満するマイナスイオンに癒されました！
行きは穏やかな波でしたが、帰り際に波が高くなり、焦るところもありましたがそれも自然のアクティビティならではなんでしょう！
てっちゃんの先導で全員無事に帰ることができました。ありがとうございました！

In the morning, I was picked up by a shuttle bus to the inn in Awa, and we stopped by the bento shop I had reserved the day before on our way to the trailhead. Since it was during Golden Week, there were quite a few tourists, but the trekking went smoothly! The guide was also very entertaining, which made it fun! There were some steep sections with stairs that were a bit tough, but overall, I was able to make the round trip without much difficulty. I would love to participate again.

朝、安房の民宿までシャトルバスで迎えにきてもらい、前日予約していたお弁当屋さんに途中でよってもらって登山口まで向かいました。
GWだったこともあり、観光客は多めでしたが、スムースにトレッキングができました！
ガイドの方もすごく面白い方で、楽しかったです！
階段が続く所が少しきついですが、割と難なく往復できました。
また参加したいです。

It's a two-story boat, and I saw dolphins right below from the deck on the first floor. I recommend it because you can get better videos. The boat sways, so it's a good idea to use a neck strap for your smartphone or camera for safety.

2階建ての船で、1階の甲板で見ました。イルカが真下に来るのでおすすめです。動画の方がよく撮れます。船が揺れるので、スマホやカメラはネックストラップをつけておくと安心です。

I participated with my dad when I was 9 years old.
We started with a simple explanation and practice in a shallow area.
Since I could touch the bottom and had a float, it was reassuring for those who couldn't swim because they could pull us along.
We started looking for sea turtles and found one in about a minute (it might have been the fastest ever!).
We took a lot of beautiful pictures, and it became an amazing memory.
After that, they took us to a spot with tropical fish, and we saw so many!

Our guide, Wataru, was kind and fantastic!!
Since he was from the local area, he told us about various shops and spots.
The Okinawa soba restaurant he recommended was delicious.
I hope to do this again!

始めに浅いところで簡単な説明と練習をしました
足もつくし浮き輪を持っているので泳げない人も引っ張ってくれるので安心です
ウミガメを探し始めて１分くらいで発見（今までで一番早いかもって）
たくさんきれいな写真を撮ってくれて最高な思い出になりました

The sea was still cold and the weather wasn't great, but the ocean was very beautiful. The children were very happy. However, it was disappointing that we couldn't see any sea turtles. I hope to come back and try again when it's a bit warmer.

まだ海が冷たくて天気もよくなかったのですが、海とてもキレイでした。
子どももとても喜んでました。
でもウミガメが見れず残念でした。
次回もう少し暑くなってからリベンジしたいと思います。

We participated as a couple with a combined age of 120 years. Both of us are quite healthy, but since it was our first time trekking, we changed from the 150-minute course to the 80-minute course at Yakusugi Land due to some anxiety. The trails in Yakusugi Land are relatively well-maintained, and we were fortunate with the weather, which was excellent, although there were some areas where we had to be cautious depending on the weather. The guide kindly explained the plants and stones, helping us appreciate nature to the fullest.

年齢合わせて120歳の夫婦で参加しました。二人とも元気な方ですが、初めてのトレッキングで不安もあったのでヤクスギランドの150分コースから80分コースに変更して歩きました。ヤクスギラントの中は比較的整備されており、天候にも恵まれ最高でしたが天候によっては油断できないところもありました。ガイドの方が植物や石など自然の見方を丁寧にお話ししてくださり、自然を満喫しました。

This was my first visit to Iriomote Island! Since my hotel was on Ishigaki Island, I wanted to make the most of my time on Iriomote Island until the last ferry, so I joined a tour with pipi.

I had originally booked a course to the Phantom Island and a limestone cave, but I was informed the day before that the course to the Phantom Island was canceled, so I had to change my plans. I was a bit disappointed, but in the morning, we canoed or paddle boarded through the mangrove forest and trekked to the Lucky Waterfall, and in the afternoon, we enjoyed a full day of canyoning. In the end, it turned out to be an incredibly fun day!

I participated with my child, and since my child was the only one, I was a bit worried about being a burden, but thanks to our guide Mao, we were able to complete all the activities without any issues. She taught us a lot about the mangroves and animals of Iriomote Island, and even shared how to spend a private day there, which showed her love for the island!

Last year, I was also taken care of by pipi in Miyako Island, and the guides were really welcoming and created a great atmosphere among the group, making it easy for families with small children to join.

Thank you for helping us create so many wonderful memories this time too! Next time, I’ll come wearing my Gyo-san sandals! (laughs)

西表島初上陸♪ホテルは石垣島だったので、最終の船までの時間ギュッと西表島を満喫したくて、pipiさんのツアーに参加させてもらいました^_^
幻の島と鍾乳洞のコースを予約していましたが、前日に幻の島へのコースは中止と連絡をもらい、コース変更。。。
残念だな〜と思ってましたが、午前中はマングローブの森をカヌーorサップとトレッキングで幸運の滝を目指し、午後はキャニオニングの１日ほんとに満喫のコースで、結果サイコーに楽しい１日になりました！
今回、子供を連れての参加で、子供はうちの子1人だったので、足手纏いにならないか少し心配でしたが、ガイドのまおさんのリードのおかげで、全ての工程を難なくクリアできました♪
たくさん西表島のマングローブや動物達の事を教えてくれたり、プライベートの日の過ごし方まで教えてくれたり、西表島愛が伝わりました！

昨年も、宮古島でpipiさんにお世話になりましたが、ガイドの方がほんとアットホームな感じで迎えて下さり、一緒に参加される方々とのグループのいい雰囲気作りもして下さるので、小さい子供連れでも安心して参加できます！
今回も、いい思い出をたくさん作ってもらい、ありがとうございます！
次は、ギョサン履いて遊びに行きますー！笑

I was worried about the rain since it can start during the rainy season, but it was cloudy and sunny every day, so I was glad it didn't rain!

Since it was my first time on Iriomote Island, I definitely wanted to go canoeing while seeing the mangroves, and after some consideration, I booked this course.

Canoeing, seeing the waterfall, and snorkeling made for a packed and fun experience! I wished we could have gone to one more snorkeling spot. I wanted to swim more!

All the guides were fun and provided appropriate guidance. If I had to say one thing, as a photography enthusiast, I felt that the guides had different senses when it came to taking photos. I'm grateful that they took pictures for us.

I would love to experience Iriomote Island again at a leisurely pace.

GWは梅雨入りすることもあるので、雨が心配でしたが連日曇ったり晴れたりで雨が降らなくて良かったです！
西表島は初なので、絶対マングローブを見ながらカヌーをしたいと思い、迷った結果こちらのコースを予約しました。
カヌーをして、滝を見て、シュノーケルもして盛りだくさんで楽しかったです！
シュノーケルはもう1ヶ所ポイントへ行けたら嬉しいのになぁと思いました。もっと泳ぎたかった！

ガイドさんたちは皆さん楽しい方で案内も適切でした。
ひとつ言うとすれば、私は写真が趣味なので、ガイドさんによって写真の撮り方のセンスがでるなぁと感じました。写真を撮ってもらえるだけ有り難いのですが
またゆっくり西表島を体験したいですね^^

I was hesitant to book a guided tour as a solo participant, but it turned out to be a great decision! They arranged transportation to and from my accommodation and provided lunch boxes for both breakfast and lunch, making everything run smoothly on the day of the tour. During the trekking, our guide, who has over 20 years of experience, offered detailed explanations, took photos, and even served us miso soup. It was a quick 10-hour trek, and I made friends with other groups as well. Since this was a special Jomon Sugi trekking experience, I highly recommend that those who are physically fit also book a guided tour. Thank you!

1人の参加で、ガイドツアーを申し込むか悩んでいましたが申し込んで大正解でした！
宿までの送迎・朝昼お弁当の段取も対応頂き、当日スムーズに迎えることが出来ました。
トレッキング中も歴20年以上の担当ガイドさんが細かい解説・写真撮影・お味噌汁のサービスも頂けました。他のグループさんとも仲良くなれたあっという間の10時間のトレッキングでした。
せっかくの縄文杉トレッキングなので、体力のある方もガイドツアー申し込むことお勧めします。

I really enjoyed everything, including Mr. Tawaki's talk! I was truly satisfied with the tour! Thank you so much! I am really grateful for allowing us to do things like the river dive during this time! The final visit to Omo no Ma Onsen after the river dive was incredibly refreshing! Haha. It was my first time in Yakushima. I had some anxiety about the journey to Jomon Sugi, but the guide shared various stories about Yakushima's plants and the World Heritage site, which made it enjoyable!

初めての屋久島でした。縄文杉までの道のりは不安もありましたがガイドさんが屋久島の植物や世界遺産の事など色々話してくれて楽しかったです！

I was a bit anxious about what it would be like to try stand-up paddleboarding for the first time, but the instructor taught me patiently, and I quickly got used to it and had a great time!

The guide was kind and had fun conversations with us, and I would definitely like to do this again!

Experience the surreal adventure of paddling through the mangrove jungle on a stand-up paddleboard! It feels like being in the Amazon River. I can't believe I'm in Japan. The fun explanation from the guide was also great! Thank you. I think this is a must-do tour when visiting Iriomote Island.
