Although the weather wasn't great, I was very satisfied with canoeing in the clear waters of Miyako Island and the thrilling Pumpkin Cave! Thanks to our guide Yamato, I was able to enjoy a unique and emotional experience that I couldn't have had anywhere else, all while feeling safe! I would love to participate in different activities the next time I visit Miyako Island!

I participated in a canoe trip with my girlfriend. It seems that during winter, most ferries to Uehara Port are canceled, so we took the ferry to Ohara instead. We almost missed it because we woke up late.

From Ohara Port, there was a replacement bus to Uehara Port, where we met up with our guide.

The canoeing started quickly after a brief explanation. It was quite charming and enjoyable. The stand-up paddleboarding seemed challenging for the women when they came out of the river against the headwind.

It seems that many shops are often closed for lunch, so everyone was eating at one place. We made do with the bread we had bought.

The ox cart ride was only about 400 meters to the island, so it felt a bit short, but I felt lucky to hear the driver play the sanshin while singing.

The journey was not boring thanks to the guide's explanations! We were taken back to Ohara Port and were able to return on the 5 PM ferry. I had a great vacation! Thank you!

大原港からは代わりのバスが出ており上原港まで。そこでガイドさんと合流しました。

カヌーは説明もそこそこに早速ライドオン。なかなかに風情があって楽しかったです。SUPの方は川から最後出てくるときに逆風で女性の方は大変そうだったな。

昼は店が開いていないことも多いようで皆さん1つのお店で食べられていました。我々は買っておいたパンで済ましました。

牛車は島まで精々400m程度なので若干物足りませんでしたが、御者のおっちゃんの三線弾き語りが聞けて得した気分でした。

道中もガイドさんの説明もあり退屈しませんでした！
帰りは大原港まで送っていただき17時の便で帰ることができました。良いバカンスを楽しめました！ありがとうございました。

Because of the strong wind, I had to paddle hard, which was also great exercise. They took photos using a GoPro, and I was impressed with the excellent results. Overall, it became the best memory. If I have the opportunity again, I would like to use this service.

I was worried that the event might be canceled due to rain and strong winds for the two days leading up to it, but I received reassuring communication that they would choose a location not affected by the wind, so it would be held as planned.

On the day itself, I thought it was a shame that it was cloudy, but the event was held in a location with very little wind, so I was able to relax and enjoy it.

I believe the clear kayak experience is meaningful because of the beautiful sea of Miyako Island. I was able to see a lot of coral and the fish living among them through the clear bottom of the kayak. If you go to Miyako Island, it might feel a bit pricey, but I definitely recommend the clear kayak! Not only did we have photo services, but we also received a well-edited video from drone footage, which greatly increased my satisfaction! I will definitely go again!

We entered a side road and spent about an hour with the guide searching for various things with a flashlight, but unfortunately, we were unable to see any coconut crabs. I had already given up on seeing the starry sky due to the cloudy weather, so I was hoping to at least see one crab, but it seems we couldn't overcome the conditions. However, I appreciate the guide's efforts in searching diligently in various places, so it can't be helped. I am grateful.

暴風かつ気温が低い中でのツアー参加でした。車で30分ほど揺られながら、ポイントに到着。道路から脇道に入り懐中電灯を片手に小一時間くらいガイドさんと色々探しましたが、結果、残念ながらヤシガニを見る事はできませんでした。曇り空のため星空は最初から諦めていましたので、1匹でもと期待はしていましたが、コンディションには勝てなかったようです。ですが、ガイドさんが色々なところを一生懸命探してくださった結果なので、致し方なし。感謝しております。

I participated in this tour in late February. Unfortunately, the weather was bad on the day of my reservation, so I had to cancel the morning session I originally booked. Since I had planned my trip around this tour, I was happy to hear that I could join the afternoon session, so I quickly confirmed my participation!

I wore a wetsuit for the experience, and although it was a bit cold at the beginning and the end, I personally felt that the cold was not an issue for most of the time. Additionally, the tour was very satisfying as the guide provided thorough instructions.

I would definitely like to participate again if I have the opportunity!

予約当日はあいにくの天気で、当初予約していた午前の部は取りやめに。このツアーをメインに旅行を計画していたこともあり、午後の部で参加可能とのことでしたので、二つ返事で参加！と回答しました。

ウェットスーツを着用して体験しましたが、最初と最後だけ寒さがあるものの、ほとんどの時間が寒さは気にならないと個人的に思いました。
また、ツアーとしても、ガイドさんがしっかりと案内してくれて、大満足の内容となっておりました。

There was a shuttle service to the hotel, and I only needed to bring warm clothing; they provided the dry suits and canoes. Once we started paddling, we encountered many wild birds like the Steller's sea eagle, white-tailed eagle, and kingfisher, as well as Ezo deer. I was so moved when a red-crowned crane took off right in front of me that I got goosebumps. I would love to come back in a different season and with a camera!

I participated in the PiPi tour for the second time this time. Due to the weather, we changed from snorkeling at Kabira Bay and the Blue Cave to mangrove kayaking and a different snorkeling session, but it was a very satisfying tour. The kayaking was also fun as it was my first time in the mangroves. One request I have is that since it was a joint tour with SUP and kayaking, I understand there are reservation considerations, but I thought it would be smoother if it could be organized for kayaking only. During snorkeling, I was able to see a sea turtle for the first time, which was great. We also took a lot of photos, creating many memorable pictures. I would like to participate again when I visit Ishigaki Island. Thank you very much.

天候の関係上、川平湾と青の洞窟シュノーケリングからマングローブカヤックと別シュノーケリングに変更となりましたが、大満足のツアーでした。
カヤックについても初めてのマングローブで楽しかったです。1点だけご要望としてはSUPとカヤックの合同でしたので予約の都合もあると思いますが、カヤックのみにまとめてもらえるスムーズと思いました。
シュノーケリングでは初めてのウミガメも見ることができよかったです。写真も沢山取っていただき、思い出の写真が沢山できました。
また石垣島へ参加の際は参加したいと思います。ありがとうございました。

This trip was a family vacation to celebrate my youngest daughter's university graduation, and it became an unforgettable memory. Due to the rain, we switched to a mangrove tour canoe, but we had a great time even in the rain! It was wonderful to see the precious mangroves up close and to learn about their ecology from our guide. We also got to take many lovely photos.

The river current was a bit strong, making it hard to move forward at times, and we even got a little wet, but it was still a very enjoyable tour! I feel like the bonds between participants deepened.

Our guide was cheerful and entertaining, and the explanations were easy to understand. The other participants were very kind, and we were able to finish the tour in a warm atmosphere.

Next time, I definitely want to join the canoe tour at Kabira Bay!

With strong winds and all participants being inexperienced in canoeing, we encountered several mishaps. However, thanks to our guide's quick thinking and flexible response, including changing the route, we were able to finish the tour safely and enjoyably. The canoe tour with an experienced and entertaining guide was very satisfying, and I would love to do it again if the opportunity arises!

In the morning, I tried stand-up paddleboarding for the first time. As I started, the weather cleared up, and I was able to see a rainbow over the mountains. The sea was calm, making it the perfect location for a beginner like me. I could lie on the board and gaze at the mountains, which helped me forget my busy daily life. I was especially impressed that I could enjoy the scenery from the same eye level as the water.

In the afternoon, I experienced diving. I was surprised at how warm the sea was for February. I was thrilled to see clownfish and tropical fish up close, and I was even lucky enough to encounter a sea turtle.

Initially, I planned to just take a boat from Abashiri to see the drift ice, but as I researched, I found out that I could walk on the drift ice with Veltour, and even go further in, so I decided to go to Shiretoko.

I had some worries like, "What if there’s no drift ice?" or "What if the weather prevents us from walking?" but I was really glad that we were blessed with good weather and could safely experience it.

I had thought that the drift ice was all separate and just floating, so when I first saw it from a distance, I thought, "This is just like walking on snow." However, as I walked on it, I encountered the floating drift ice, and when I thought it was solid, it would sway and I would stumble or get stuck, which made it really fun. It was truly enjoyable!

I love Hokkaido and have been there many times, but this was the most fun and memorable experience I've had! I definitely want to participate again next year.

Our guide, Imahi, was very friendly and was smiling the whole time, which made the experience even more enjoyable and warm-hearted.

最初は網走から船に乗って流氷を見るだけの計画を立てていましたが、調べる内にヴェルトラさんで流氷の上を歩くことができる、さらに入ることができると知り知床まで行くことにしました。
流氷が来ていなかったら、、
天候によって歩けなくなったら、、
などせっかく行くのに、と不安もありましたが、天候に恵まれ無事体験することができてほんとに良かったです。
流氷とは1つ1つ離れていて全てがプカプカ浮かんでいるものだと思っていたので、初め遠くから見ていると「これって雪の上歩くのと同じやん」と思っていました。
ですが歩いていくとプカプカした流氷にも出会えたし、固いと思ったらゆらゆらで転ける、ハマる、というようなおもしろさもあり、ほんとに楽しかったです。
北海道がだいすきでたくさん行きましたが今までで1番楽しい最高の思い出ができました！
ぜひまた来年も参加したいと思います。

ガイドのいまひさんの愛想もとてもよくて終始ニコニコしており、いまひさんのおかげでさらに楽しめたし温かい気持ちになりました。

I was a bit anxious since it was my first time, but they taught me patiently, and I was able to ride smoothly. They also taught me some tricks, and I tried them, but they were indeed difficult... I participated in the latter half of February. They provided wetsuits, shoes, fins, life jackets, and snorkel masks. When I entered the sea, it was cold enough to feel a chill, but I was having so much fun that I forgot about the cold! I wore my swimsuit underneath. The guide was very helpful in explaining how to wear the mask properly. They also applied anti-fog, so I could see clearly underwater without any fogging! I was thrilled to see the long-awaited sea turtles and clownfish up close right after joining the tour. I was able to bring my phone, and they took photos for us and sent the data, which was very helpful. We kayaked to the Pumpkin Cave, and there were various explanations, making it very satisfying. After the tour, they provided hot water, which was a nice service to warm up my body.

2月の後半に参加しました。ウェットスーツ、靴、フィン、ライフジャケット、シュノーケルマスクなどを貸してもらえます。海に入ったときはヒヤッと感じるくらいの冷たさでしたが、楽しさのあまり寒さを忘れるくらいでした！水着は中に着用して行きました。ガイドさんがマスクの付け方のコツとかを詳しく教えていただきとても助かりました。曇り止めもしてくれたので視界も曇らず鮮明に海の中を見ることが出来ました！参加してすぐに待望のウミガメやクマノミに会えて間近で見ることができ嬉しかったです。ケータイは持ち込めましたが写真も撮っていただき、データも送って頂けたのでとても助かりました。パンプキン鍾乳洞はカヤックで向かい、色々な説明などもあり大満足の内容でした。ツアー後はお湯を用意していただき身体も温めることができ嬉しいサービスでした。

We also got to see various creatures like geckos, crabs, and plants that can't be found on the main island, making it a tour I would especially recommend for nature and adventure lovers! The guide's explanations were also very interesting.

Depending on the weather, I think it's advisable to wear clothes that repel water or are okay to get dirty, as the leaves of the plants can brush against your body when entering the mountains. I want to try the stargazing tour next time! Thank you for the valuable experience!

This time, due to the rain during the day, the clouds were thick and the weather was bad, so we couldn't enjoy stargazing, but the jungle tour was amazing!
Navigating through the dark, cutting through unmarked paths with a flashlight felt like something out of Indiana Jones!
Additionally, our enthusiastic and fun guide found various creatures one after another, and their clear explanations were excellent. We even got to see the coconut crab that I had really wanted to see, along with firefly larvae and local snakes, which were great!
When we shone the light, we saw walls formed by raised coral and even stalactites, which were unexpected delights that made my friends and me very happy.
Next time, I want to choose a time when we can also enjoy stargazing.

今回は昼間雨が降ったこともありかなり雲が厚く天候が悪かったため星空鑑賞ができなかったのですが、ジャングルツアーが最高でした‼︎
真っ暗闇の中、道無き道をかき分けながら懐中電灯で進んでいくのはインディジョーンズ並み‼︎
また、サービス精神旺盛な楽しいガイドさんが、いろいろな生き物を次々と見つけてくれ、分かりやすい説明が絶妙でした。ぜひ見たいと思っていたヤシガニも見ることができましたし、蛍の幼虫、地元のヘビもいい感じ‼︎光を当てると珊瑚が隆起してできた壁があったり、鍾乳石も見ることができたりと、思ってもない収穫に友人と一緒に大喜びでした。
次回は、星空鑑賞もできる時期を選んで参加したいです。

As a family that loves the ocean, we have visited numerous beaches both domestically and internationally. While we had been focusing on overseas beaches, the impact of COVID made traveling abroad a bit cumbersome, so this time we visited Miyako Island for the first time. I had been to Okinawa's main island a few times, but this was my first visit to an outer island. I naively thought that Miyako Island wouldn't be much different from the main island of Okinawa, but I was completely wrong! Honestly, as someone who loves the ocean, it was at a level I didn't want to share.

First, we encountered sea turtles while snorkeling. The conditions were not great due to strong winds, but shortly after starting the tour, we came across a sea turtle. I have met sea turtles several times overseas, but the ones in Miyako Island were small and incredibly cute, which made me very happy! Of course, we also saw a family of clownfish and many other adorable fish! After that, we went on a limestone cave tour, which was a rare experience that can only be done in Miyako Island, making it a very satisfying day! I definitely want to visit again during the peak season!

海好き家族につき、国内外数々のビーチを訪れています。何となく海外のビーチに注力していたのですが、コロナの影響もあり海外を訪れるのは少々面倒‥と言う事もあって、今回初めて宮古島を訪れました。沖縄は本島に数回行ってはいたのですが、離島は初めてでした。勝手な解釈で、宮古島も沖縄本島と大差無いんじゃ無い？と軽く考えてお邪魔したのですが‥、とんでもない！いや、正直、海好きの私としては教えたく無いレベルの高さでした。まず、ウミガメ&シュノーケル、この日は風も強く、良いとはお世辞でも言えない位のコンディションだったのですが、ツアーを初めてから間も無くウミガメと遭遇。海外でも何度かウミガメとお会いして来ましたが、宮古島のウミガメは小さくてとても可愛らしく大満足！勿論カクレクマノミの親子やその他何種類もの可愛いお魚さん達にも会えました！その後は鍾乳洞ツアー、こちらも宮古島でしか出来ない貴重な体験が出来て大満足の1日でした！是非またオンシーズンにもお邪魔してみたいと思いました！

I booked the SUP tour at Kabira Bay + the Blue Cave snorkeling plan.
It was everyone's first time on the SUP tour, but it was fun!
Along the way, we saw a rainbow, which was a rare experience.

I participated in snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Although it was February, the weather was nice, so it wasn't as cold as I expected. For SUP, we moved to a different location and experienced it in another part of the ocean. I was worried about whether I could balance on the board, but the guide carefully taught me how to ride and gave me tips, so I was able to enjoy it. It was a lot of fun to experience it while gazing at the beautiful waters of Okinawa.

シュノーケリングとSUPに参加しました。
2月ですが天候が良かったこともあり、思ったよりも寒くなかったです。
シュノーケリングでは、ご飯中のウミガメに会うことができました。おいしそうにご飯を食べているウミガメはとってもかわいくて癒されました！
ウミガメの他にも、たくさんのお魚がいる中をゆっくりと泳ぐことができてとても楽しかったです。
SUPは場所を移動して、シュノーケリングとは違う海で体験しました。
乗れるかどうか不安でしたが、ガイドの方が乗り方やコツを丁寧に教えてくれるので楽しむことができました。
綺麗な沖縄の海を眺めながら体験することができてとても楽しかったです。
1日すごくいい思い出になりました。

Despite the low temperature and unfortunate rain, the staff mentioned that it would be tough to find wildlife, so my expectations were low. However, after borrowing rubber boots and a flashlight and making my way through the rugged jungle path, I was thrilled to encounter three coconut crabs, a hermit crab, and the Yaeyama firefly!

During the car rides to and from the location, the staff shared stories about Ishigaki Island and provided valuable information for traveling around the island, making the experience very meaningful. Since I couldn't see the beautiful starry sky due to the rain, I hope to participate again next time and witness a celestial show under clear skies.

気温が低く生憎の雨でスタッフさんからは生物を見つけるには厳しいコンデションだと言われ期待薄でしたが、長靴と懐中電灯を借りてジャングルの険しい道を進んでいくとヤシガニ3匹、ヤドカリ、ヤエヤマヒメボタルに遭遇し感激しました‼︎
行き帰りの車中ではスタッフさんから石垣島にまつわる話や島内旅行で為になる情報などお話をして貰って大変有意義に過ごすことができました。
雨で綺麗な星空が見れなかったので、次回参加した時は晴天の元、天体ショーを是非観たいと思います。

I participated in an ice floe walk for the first time. It was also my first time wearing a dry suit, but they taught me carefully, so I had no problems at all. I was grateful that they lent me a knit cap, which eased my worries about getting wet.

They took photos and uploaded them, so I didn't have to worry about bringing my smartphone and possibly dropping it, allowing me to enjoy the experience with peace of mind.

This time, I participated in tours from both Picchio and Shinra, and it was hard to choose between the two.

If I had to say, Picchio is great for beginners and families because they provide thorough support, while Shinra moves at a quicker pace, catering to those who want to enjoy things on their own to some extent. The experience areas were the same for both companies when I participated, so I don't think there was a significant difference in the content of the experiences.

ニット帽を貸してくれるのも、濡れるのが気にならなずありがたかったです。

写真を撮ってアップしてくださるので、自分でスマホを持ち込んで落としてしまうかも、といった不安に感じることもなく、安心して楽しめました。

今回、ピッキオさんとシンラさんの両方のツアーに参加したのですが、どちらも甲乙つけ難かったです。

強いて言えば、
ピッキオさんは丁寧にフォローしてくださるのでビギナーや子ども連れ向け
シンラさんはサクサク進めてくださるので、ある程度自分で楽しみたい方向け
といった感じでしょうか。
体験のエリアは、自分が参加した時はどちらの会社さんも同じところでしたので、体験内容に大きな差は無いと思います。

At first, I was a bit confused about how to reach the entrance of the cave by kayak, but thanks to our guide, Tetsu, who kept the energy high, we were able to progress happily.

When we arrived at the limestone cave, I was captivated by its grandeur. I even encountered a sea snake, which is something you rarely come across on the mainland.

Since you can only access it from the water, there's no way we could have reached it on our own. I highly recommend this activity as a must-do for anyone visiting Miyako Island.

I was disappointed when the planned day was canceled due to rain and wind, but they rescheduled for the next day and even changed it to a better time than originally planned. It was cloudy, which was unfortunate, but when I looked into the kayak, I was amazed to see so many fish. I was also happy to see a clownfish. There were many others as well.

I've done kayaking before, but this was the first time I saw so many fish. The clear kayak was amazing. They also took photos and videos with a drone and even edited them, everything was just perfect. I will definitely go again on a sunny day.

予定していた日が雨と風で中止になりがっかりだったけど、次の日に変更してくださり、その上、予定時間よりも条件のいい時間に変更してくださいました。雲っていて残念だったけど、カヤックを覗くとお魚が一杯いて感動でした。カクレクマノミも見れて良かったです。他にもいっぱいいました。
カヤックは今までやったありますが、あそこまでお魚が見れたのは初めてでした。クリアカヤック最高でした。
ドローンで写真や動画も撮ってくださり、編集までしてくださって、何から何まで最高でした。お天気のいい日にまた絶対行きます。
