Tokyo
I took Mt. Fuji 5th Station, Shiraito Falls and Oshino Hakkai Tour from Tokyo / With Ekiben Box Lunch from Veltra. Overall, the experience was satisfactory. The meeting point was easy to find because the instructions were clear and there are people from the travel company who were more than eager to assist their guests. Also, our tour guide was very accommodating and very lively which keeps everyone happy during the entire trip. She even assisted me in checking if the Tokyo Metropolitan was still open after the trip because I wanted to go there. We also had a stop in a place which has an unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji. I think this stop was no included in the itinerary. The most important thing I appreciated about this trip was that they refunded me with half of the amount I paid because originally, I plan to travel together with my sister. Unfortunately, she was not feeling well on the day of the trip so she had to cancel her plan to accompany me in the trip. I informed the travel agency in less than an hour before the scheduled trip and I wasn’t expecting any refund because I cancelled in less than an hour. But, to my surprise, they refunded me with half of what I paid and the tour guide even gave me the extra box lunch intended for my sister. It was really appreciated.
Everything was perfect about it. I loved it. Guide was awesome. Looking forward for my next trip.
If you go on this tour, please take into account the weather forecast. The morning we left from Tokyo, it was pouring rain. The rest of the day was also covered in grey clouds, rain and fog. We therefore did not see Mt. Fuji at all. Not even a glimpse unfortunately. Although we did go up the cable car, we could not see more than like 30 meters ahead due to the fog.
Although the weather forecast is unpredictable, and the organization is of course not to blame for bad weather (humans can unfortunately not control it) it is a pity that we did not get any compensation whatsoever. Having paid this huge amount of money for a bus tour where we did not even see the mountain has simply been a disappointment. Nevertheless, the tour guide was energetic and nice.
We loved the tour to mount fuji. Yukiko (our guide) was funny and very informative. They were amazing and waited for us, as we got lost and arrived a little late to the meeting place.
We booked the trip to a warm day, but be advised, mt fuji has unpredictable weather, and it was full of clouds. We managed to get a couple of shots with the peak, but it was hard. The other spots were also very nice. This was our last day in Japan and so we had already seen a lot of shrines and temples, and the time allocated to each spot was just right, as we had a 2h trip back to Tokyo. We do understand that for people whose tour this is the first, it might be a little overwhelming and too short a time. So I think it would be best to book it further along your trip. We booked it only a couple of days prior to the actual tour, and everything went great! The lunch box is a bento box, with local food. We didn't book it, and bought a few sandwiches and took them with us for the tour. For us, this was the best option. You can also buy at each stop, but it may be more expensive, and that may be a reason to run out of time in the visiting spots.
We visited this Mt Fuji tour on a lucky day where the sun was shining and we had wonderful clear views of Mt Fuji. Our Tour guide Nao was so funny and informative as well as informative. We had a packed day full of activities but it definitely didn't feel rushed or that we didn't have enough time at each activities. The lunch was at a fancy place tasting very delicious, and The lake cruise and ropeways were refreshing providing the best unobscured view of My Fuji The activities were very very good and I would 100% recommend this tour!
Thank you for booking with us!
We're glad that you enjoy the trip.
Have a good day!
Our main purpose of doing the trip was to see Mt. Fuji up close as do the others in the tour. Unfortunately for all of us, the mountain was enveloped with fogs/cloud from below Station 5 that we could not see anything of Mt. Fuji. A German even spoke for most if not all of us when he requested the bus return to Station 5 when the clouds cleared a little.
Second, the tour buses in Europe mostly has toilets in them. Not for ordinary use but "when necessary only". It should be a must for all tour buses in Japan for a total tourist comfort and ease of mind.
The rest of the tour sites are excellent and the tourist guide spoke excellent english and spoke a lot about Japanese culture and the country as well.
If you are looking for a convenient way to see Mount Fuji from japan this is the tour for you. Eko our guide for the day was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. She made the trip fun driving between site to sight. Her English was perfect and humor a joy. The lunch was fantastic, lots of variety and tasty. I highly recommend this tour if you only have a day to spend in the region. The option for the fast train back to Tokyo (which we choose last minute during the trip) is also worth the ride and experience. Eko helped us arrange that easily.
Considerations: It is a long day. Time of year - if it's a colder month, i might opt for a shorter tour.
This tour was fantastic and very well priced. I highly recommend the tour for anyone wanting to visit Mt Fuji.
As promised the Hop-On Hop-Off bus made its’ way through the route, allowing us to get a sense of part of Tokyo. Unfortunately, the commentary was very stilted, and lacked history, and details. I usually enjoy getting an overview of a city on a Hop-On Hop-Off bus, but felt that we hit only a few highlights of Tokyo and the information received was less than satisfactory. The Hop-On Hop-Off offered a means to get to some places, but beyond that it was disappointing.
Journey well spent with clear explanation from guide. Tour is well organised and coordinated.
Time well spent and the guide speaks well and explains clearly. She is informative and never a dull moment. Would recommend friends/family to book this tour. thanks alot.
While the trip was good, everything went smoothly and the tour guide was very informative and helpful, it was disappointing to learn we have very little time at each stop. We felt very rushed, including for lunch. I suggest the tour return later, or you are upfront with customers that in order to fit in all of the activities the actual time at each stop is very limited.
Very nice and very fascinating tour. Will definitely do it again. Also no problem recommending to friends
Dislike the multi dips , guide changing in mid day, and bus changing to max out the margins for the agency, sacrificing the comfort level and experience of the users. Morning guide was really poor as she waited for the return passengers from the shrine at the bus parking area instead of providing some sort of assistance in between the shrine and the bus lot
It was the best experience abroad so far to me. From beginning to the end everything was excellent and went as it was said with their promised schedule. Our tour guide was great she informed us not only by sound system but also she used charts and written notes on the large papers sheets to help her messages memorized while she was using quality communicating techniques to help her group stay together and informed well. Bus was very clean and driver did great job along with all route course.
Thank you so much for everything ❤️
Very nice tour. Our tourguide gave us a lot of information as well as being a great singer! Had a great day.
The tour guide, May, was wonderful! She kept tabs on everyone very well, always making to have everyone when time to head to a new destination. She was very informative on the bus, telling everyone about how Mt. Fuji was formed and why things are certain ways. She even sang us traditional Japanese song for Mt. Fuji in both English and Japanese.
The experience was great. Definitely add the lunch option! So many choices and you definitely get your money's worth!
The tour bus does have wifi, but it was not super strong. My children were able to play apps, but not watch videos from it. There is no bathroom on the bus, so plan to use it before you get on at each stop (important with younger children).
We were extremely impressed by this tour. It was well-organized and everyone had enough time to experience the itinerary without rushing.
The finer details:
First (and most important): Mount Fuji
- During a clear day, you have many opportunities to see it.
- 5th Station, the Lake Kawaguchi cruise and ropeway all have fantastic views.
- You can buy souvenirs at each stop!
Food
- Lunch was at an amazing restaurant in Fuji-Q Highland. An appetizer, entree, dessert, and coffee/tea are all included.
- You can also explore the surrounding area if you finish eating early!
- You get to have soft serve ice cream at the end of the tour with your pick of interesting flavors.
Efficiency and Comfort
- The bus was very comfortable and there are bathroom breaks during the ride.
- The tour guides (shoutout to Nao-san and David!) were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were fluent in both English and Japanese.
- Despite some traffic, we were pretty much on time for every stop and got back to Shinjuku before 7pm.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Mount Fuji from different viewpoints and have some great food and fun along the way.
Thank you for booking with us!
We're glad that you enjoy your trip.
Have a nice day!
French language
The voice in French was recorded with an automatic and robotic voice like Google translate. It was totally unnatural.
Also, the story suddenly stopped when the bus was crossing a new building in order to explain the new building.
Please take care of non English languages guys!
Visiting Mt. Fuji was a fantastic experience. The entire trip was very well organized and our tour guide was very charming, informative and polite. The remaining three stops were also lovely. We highly recommend this tour.
Very organised trip, we knew what times of where we had to be the whole day. We had a 50% chance of seeing Mount Fuji and we saw it clear as day it was beautiful.
Because of the temperature we got to see the last of the cherry blossom which just made our whole day!
Lunch was not to our taste but I’m sure if you enjoyed traditional Japanese food it was nice.
Our tour guide was brilliant, she was so helpful and knowledgable.
We really didn’t know what to expect from the day but it exceededed all our expectations, I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone going to japan and wanting to visit Mount Fuji.
Our tour guide was fantastic, Friendly, and very informative. She gave us so much information about our surroundings, where we were going and Japan's history. I would definitely reccomend the Mt Fuji and Hakone tour to everyone it was a fantastic day out.
Excellent tour. Youshi - san was a great tour leader, informative and amusing and spoke excellent English. We were very fortunate to have a clear day to see Mount Fuji and the views were brilliant all day. The lunch was also very good. We enjoyed the sky gondola, the black eggs and the cruise over lake Ashi. Every thing was very punctual and at no point did we feel rushed. We took the option of the bullet train back and Youshi helped us with navigating the station. In all a lovely tour which we thoroughly recommend.
You can get a fun duck whistle, but it was quite difficult to blow. However, it was enjoyable. There was also a detailed explanation about the townscape along the way, which was informative.
楽しいダック笛がもらえますがなかなか吹きにくかった。けど、楽しかったです。途中の街並みについても詳しく説明がありためになります。

We had a great day on this sightseeing tour. Both our guides were knowledgeable about Tokyo and gave good extra information about daily life etc. Good choiches of landmarks, well organized lunch with fine presentation of Japanese food. Bus was very clean and comfortable.
We can highly recommend this full day sightseeing in Tokyo.
It’s a long drive just to see one shrine. The whole experience was dimmed by the lack of a good guide. Not informative at all. Repeating the same thing. was not courteous to some of the other passengers who were a bit slow. The tour was all about making up the time, get off the bus, view the place and quickly get back on the road. The guide would not even wait for everyone to get off the bus. Many co travelers were disappointed. We have taken many day tours around the world, this was easily the worst experience.
We had the best tour guide! She was absolutely charming and very knowledgeable. The day was beautiful and we got to see magnificent Mt Fuji but were only able to go up to the 4th station. The nearby waterfalls were incredible too. I loved Oshino Hakkai village with the cherry blossoms and amazing views of Mt Fuji. I definitely recommend this tour.
Although it was cloudy so we could not see the top of Mt. Fuji most of the time. Our tour guide did his best to show us the mountain and the lake, with a cable car view.
Tour guide was very knowledgable about every everything .The 4d fuji airways was excellant worth the money
We had a long bus ride to Mt Fuji but were disappointed the clouds came in and covered the mountain. We could only get to Level 2 as there was too much congestion and traffic higher up at Level 4. Our lunch was a wonderful selection of local dishes and the cruise on the Pirate Ship on Lake Ashi was crowded and chilly but fun to be part of.
