I went to Tokyo to watch my daughter's idol graduation live performance, and since I was there, I wanted to fulfill my long-held dream of seeing Mount Fuji up close. After searching online, I discovered this tour! Additionally, there was a campaign where if you posted about your experience, the second person would be free, which was wonderful.

However, we were supposed to meet in front of the Shinjuku Center Building. I arrived early at 8:15 for the 8:35 check-in, but there were no VELTRA staff present, which made me anxious. I called the emergency contact, but they were in Osaka and didn’t have clear information. Another travel company staff member mentioned that the meeting point might be on the opposite side, so I ran around the Center Building, but there were no buses or staff to be found. Just when I was feeling lost, I noticed someone who hadn’t been there before. As I approached, they were holding a VELTRA sign, which was a relief.

I wish they had arrived at least 10 to 20 minutes earlier. I thought we would depart at 8:35, but it turned out we left at 8:50 after picking up passengers from Ikebukuro. I would have liked to see a clear itinerary showing the departure time from Ikebukuro and the expected arrival time in Shinjuku.

Nonetheless, the course and the tour guide were fantastic, which made it all forgivable. We boarded a wonderful pirate ship in Hakone, enjoyed a delicious hamburger for lunch (it was crowded, so I had my son save our seats while I ordered), then took the ropeway and enjoyed the view as we arrived at Owakudani, where I finally got to see Mount Fuji beautifully. I took many photos and enjoyed the black eggs.

We then headed by bus to the 4th station of Mount Fuji (it was supposed to be the 5th station, but the toll booth staff said it wouldn’t open until April). As we got closer to Mount Fuji, I was thrilled to see the large, beautiful mountain on my left. The snow hadn’t melted, and since it rarely snows where I live, I played in it. The view from the observation deck was also great. After fully enjoying Mount Fuji, we headed back to Shinjuku and Ikebukuro.

The tour guide was a friendly woman who spoke English for the foreign guests. She encouraged us to take family photos together. We received a bag of snacks as a souvenir for each group, which was a nice touch. It became a wonderful memory, and I had a great time. Thank you very much. P.S. After posting my experience for the monitor tour, I received a refund on my credit card five days later. I appreciate it.

娘のアイドル卒業ライブを観るために東京に行くので、せっかくなので以前から富士山をまじかで観てみたい夢を叶えるべくネット検索するとこのコースを発見!。さらにキャンペーンで体験を投稿すると2人目無料とのこと嬉しい限り。
しかし、新宿センタービル前集合。チェックイン8:35で早目に8:15に到着したがVELTRAのスタッフさんはおられず不安になり緊急連絡先に電話したがその方は大阪にいるとのことで結局よくわからないと（心配して後でお電話をしてくださいましたが）他の旅行会社の方が集合場所が反対側かもしれないですよとのことでセンタービルを一周小走りに回るがバスもスタッフさんもおられず。途方にくれていたところ時間を過ぎた頃ふと見ると今までいなかった方が‥近寄るとVELTRAの表示を持っておられて一安心。
せめて10分〜20分くらい早目に来ていて欲しかったですね。
8:35出発と思っていたが池袋から乗せて新宿に来る為8時50分出発とのこと。
行程表にしっかりと池袋〇時〇分出発➡︎新宿〇時〇分到着出発と池袋から来ることと各場所に到着の目安の時間を表示していて欲しかった。
でもでも、コース、添乗員さんが最高で全然許せます。
箱根は素敵な海賊船に乗船→ランチも美味しいハンバーグを頂き（混んでいたので息子に席取りを任せて私が並んで食事を注文）→ロープウェイに乗り景色を眺めながら大涌谷に着くと念願の富士山が綺麗に見えました。写真も沢山撮り、黒卵を食べ満喫満喫。バスで富士山4合目まで出発（5合目予定でしたが4月にならないと5合目はオープンしないと料金所の方が言われてました。）富士山に近づいていくと左手に大きく綺麗な富士山が観えて感激。富士山は雪が解けず残っていて、私が住んでいるところは雪が積もることが滅多にないので踏んだりして遊びました。展望台からの景色もよかったです。富士山満喫した後は新宿、池袋に向けて帰りました。
添乗員さんも女性で気さくな優しい方でお客さんは外国の方もおられ英語でも説明をされていました。記念撮影も添乗員さんから声掛けをしてくださり家族で撮ってもらいました。1グループに1袋でお菓子のお土産をもらい嬉しかったです。とてもいい思い出になり楽しかったです。ありがとうございました。追伸、モニターツアーで体験投稿で5日後、クレジットカードに返金してくださいました。感謝です。

The tour I participated in was a weekday small group tour mainly for foreigners. Thanks to the weekday and the small group size, the itinerary went very smoothly without any unnecessary stops. We departed at 8:30 AM and were back in Shinjuku before 5 PM.

The guide was enthusiastic and prepared various interesting stories, frequently explaining the scenery around us as we traveled. It was impressive that all the passengers sang along to a song about Mount Fuji and enjoyed learning the lyrics together. (Since everyone was a foreigner this time, it also meant explanations about Japanese culture. If the customers were Japanese, the explanations might have been different.)

For lunch, we had a Western-style meal while enjoying the view of the pirate ship at Togendai. We couldn't ride the Hakone Ropeway due to maintenance, so instead, we went to Owakudani by bus. The 5th station of Mount Fuji was also closed, so we went to the 4th station viewpoint via the Subaru Line instead. At the 4th station, the weather was a bit cloudy, so there wasn't much of a view, but the summit of Mount Fuji was clearly visible.

Overall, it was an enjoyable trip thanks to the friendly guide, driver, and fellow tourists.

私が参加したのは、平日の少人数の外国人メインのツアでした。
平日で少人数のおかげなのか、余計にSAに止まることなく、
すごく順調な旅程でした。午前八時半に出発し、午後五時前はもう新宿に戻っていました。
ガイドさんの方は、熱心にいろんなネタを用意してくださり、走っている周りの風景について頻繁に説明してくださいました。乗客みんなで一緒に富士山の歌を聞いて、楽しく歌詞の内容を覚えることが印象的でした。（今回は全員外国人だったので、日本文化を説明してくれるという意味合いでもありました。お客様が日本人の場合は違う内容の説明になるかもしれません。）
お昼は桃源台でパイレット船を眺めながら洋食ランチ。
箱根ロープウェーはメンテナンスのために、乗れなかった。その代わりに、バスで大涌谷に行っていた。富士山5合目も空いてなかったため、代わりにスバルラインで4合目の展望台に行ってきました。４合目では、天気がちょっと曇っているので、展望の風景はなかったが、富士山頂ははっきりと見えてました。
全体的に、フレンドリーなガイドさん、ドライバーさん、そして観光客によって、楽しかった旅でした。

this is a great full day tour from tokyo, but was never a dull moment on the wholw trip. guide was informed, helpful , and very fun! ever stop was full of hstory and great views. mt. fuji was everything we hoped it woulf be. fun boat rides and the bullet train blow us away.

We had excellent tour guides (Mariko and company). Multilingual. They are articulate and caring. We enjoyed our day tour to Mount Fuji (5-stations). Tour bus schedule is precise and the trip was smooth. Lunch and walk at the Village was delightful and a very good experience.

Mt Fuji is breathtaking, we are lucky to have quite a clear view but unfortunately due to snowing the previous night, we r only able to get to 4th station instead of the 5th station, it was still nice. The cave trekking is outstanding, we absolutely loved the experience, Yaya our coach gave a very clear explanation about Aokigohara forest and Mt. Fuji history, and we enjoyed the cave tour very much, it is a tough trekking though as it requires some skills to walk on ice and hike through slippery rocks. Highly recommended for ppl who loves nature and don’t mind some physical challenges.

Our lady guide made our trip all the more enjoyable as we travelled on the bus to Mt Fuji by Telling us funny but interesting little stories on Japan’s culture & growing up there. We even made our own Mt Fuji from colored paper that she gave us & then following her instructions . Once the trip was over our guide checked where we were staying so she could assist us with directions to get back there from the drop off station. A wonderful caring guide. The dinner was lovely and we got lots to eat & we all got fed really quickly on arrival there. Catering ladies were really nice too.
The weather that day was just perfect to view Mt Fuji so my daughter & I totally enjoyed our trip and would recommend it as great value for the cost.

Mt Fuji blew me away. It was the best experiences and best part of my holiday. Mt Fuji was great and i enjoyed the lunch served. The driver and the commentator were fantastic. The cruise as well as the ropeway was an experience that will stay with me for a long time. Will definitely do it again. Five star.

It was a great experience. I have already recommended this to my coworkers who have expressed interest to visit mt Fuji. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating right after lunch. I have failed to see Mt Fuji when we got to Hakone (Lake Ashi cruise and cable car) which was THE major attraction. I wish I got to see Mount Fuji from the cable car. :( But, we cannot fight with the weather. Anyways, I took the bullet train back. Overall, I am happy. Thank you.

I was very lucky that we had a clear day during our Mt. Fuji trip so the group I was with was able to do and visit all the attractions as stated on the description except that we were only able to visit 1st station since 4th and 5th station were closed due to heavy snow. It's not a big deal though as there are still lots of chances to see the magnificent Mt. Fuji on the way. If you're planning to visit Mt Fuji during winter, make sure to layer well since its colder there compared to the city. Expect as well a long travel time from Tokyo to Mt Fuji as it's roughly 139 km away. And lastly, I highly suggest to take the option with Bullet train as it will only take you 40 mins back to Tokyo compared to 2-3 hours travel back by bus.

FYI, the bus first row (left and right) are reserved for the guide and driver#2!

It was a great trip. Hiro was a lovely guide, very helpful and friendly. Sadly the weather was very poor due to bad luck and we couldn’t see Mt Fuji but she bought us all a lovely postcard instead which was really sweet of her. The locations were still beautiful, the small villages were so peaceful and relaxing compared to the madness of Tokyo and the trip well organised.
We took the options to not include the meal and trips and just paid upfront for the cablecar which is all we wanted to do. We also bought our own lunch instead of having the western style meal as it didn’t appeal as much. The fact that this trip has options is one of the main reasons we chose it and I’m very glad we did so!
I would highly recommend this company for any tours!

At first I was apprehensive about purchasing this tour, but am I ever glad I did. My son and I had a wonderful time. Our guide Keiko was very informative and engaging throughout the tour. The weather was great in the morning, so we were able to see Fuji. Since we couldn't go to the 5th station, we were treated to an alternate stop which was just as engaging. The tour was run with precision and met all expectations. I will book with this company again.

Our guide was a wealth of knowledge re politics , history and geography of the Mt Fuji region. He really added great depth to what was a well organized tour blessed with great weather.

We elected to take the Shinkasen train back to Tokyo which was fast and given the heavy traffic expected, a good call in getting back fast.

Our guide Kanae was incredible with sunrise tours! Kanae spoke amazing English and was very informative throughout the tour day.
We managed to score the best weather you could imagine for this experience with mt fuji in its glory!

Transportation by bus there and bullet train return was the best way for time and comfort.
Would definitely do it again and highly highly recommend sunrise tours for this day.

Our guide was very sweet and accommodating! This tour is weather-dependent. Unfortunately our tour was affected by bad weather so the scenic views were compromised. A lot of time was spent on the bus because it was cold and wet. That’s when you make the best of it with the people you are with!

This is an amazing option for those who want to see Mount Fuji from different angles. The bus is super comfortable, the meeting point is easy to find and the guide is very sweet. We stopped in 5 different places from where we could see the mountain from a different perspective. The average time in each stop is around 20 minutes and then one of them takes 1h. It might seem to short but it isn’t, its good enough!The highlights for me where the small village with the mount Fuji in the background and the beautiful waterfalls. It was a very peaceful and interesting day!

The tour was very convenient, organized, gave ample time for each stop and the guide was very accommodating. The food was also great! Will definitely recommend this.

Had a great time with Tour Guide Levin and Angela! English was very good with lots of good insight on all the stops along the way. Plenty of time to take photos and explore each stop with some breathtaking views! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to experience Mt. Fuji close up.

a must do tour if you are in Tokyo. Fantastic tour guide and a great way to get the best views of Mt Fuji.

Very well organised and a good trip to see Mt Fuji from different perspectives. This was from going onto Fuji, we went to the 4th station because the winter snow prevented us from going to the 5th station. It didnt matter that we couldnt go further as it was a great view out. Then we moved on to lunch at the theme park and although this was an option it was worth it to have been served very well with good food. We sat in a lovely French decorated dining room with an amazing view of Mount Fuji. Then on to a boat trip on the lake to see Fuji from this viewpoint and we were lucky to have a cold but very clear day to see its beauty. After the lake we moved on to the cable car which took us up to another viewpoint to see Fuji and and town below. All great photo opportunities and a great experience for a tourist to capture Mt Fuji at its best.

It was very nice, relaxing day with beautiful views and tasty lunch. We had such a nice and funny guide, who spoke perfect english and took great care of us. There was enough time at each place we have visited. Good value for this price, highly recommend the trip.

A wonderful trip.We were fetched on time. Very professional guide, she was with us all the way and made sure everyone was ok.informative talks about the various places we visited. We were fortunate to see Mt Fuji clearly. The cable car was excellent and so was the boat ride. not much places to eat at the lunch place so maybe take the lunch option.or take your own snacks and meals.weather didnt permit us to go to 5th station but we got views from the ropeway.
Just a note to future travellers,please be at the designated spot on time otherwise it wastes a lot of time trying to locate all the passengers.

Overall it was a good trip. Service was good and the staffs are very helpful. We was informed it was snowing at Mt.Fuji, the tour guide keep us informed on the situation whether we able to goes up atleast station 2 but unfortunately we could not make it. Although it was sad unable to see Mt.Fuji, but the base was amazing covered with the snow.

Lake Ashi amazing again no luck to see Mt.Fuji view due to rain and cloudy.

For my niece, this trip is memorable and her dream comes true for able to see snow.

All the schedules were comfortable and kind.

Wasting time... because after reach mt. Fuji just until station 1 then just only play in the kids playground. Not reach even just station 3, don't know why.

Pirates ship, hakone rope way cure the pain finally.

But still not worth it for money, main object mt fuji have to take more time maybe.

for Fuji tour we just go to theme park and play sliding snow. we lunch at moving bus, my self dont recommend this tour for family have young childern

You get a little bit of everything on this trip. 5th Station, brief stop at a theme park, a short cruise on the lake, and a stop by a beautiful garden. The main thing missing is time. You simply don't get enough time at each destination. I think the stop at Fuji-Q can be taken out. Nonetheless, the tour is good value for the price and you get to experience a lot.

Convenient group gathering place.
I recommend taking a ticket with a boat trip and funicular, they offer a magnificent view of Fuji.
