Tokyo
We had a great experience. Value for money, the itinerary is perfect.
One you find the assembly point its all plain sailing the guide. Was knowlegble and gave a lot of information as to where things at the market come from the breakfast was great eating like a japanese with all fresh food. It was by far one of the. Best tours i have been on and by far the best guide
As mentioned, this was an interesting tour round the centre of Tokyo, with the ability to get on and off the open-topped bus at points of interest.
On the Roppongi/Odaiba route, before Tokyo Teleport, however, there are only three buses per day, meaning you'd need to spend quite a long time at e.g. Roppongi Hills. At or after Tokyo Teleport, the route coincides with the Odaiba-only route, so you can change between buses, meaning the gap between buses is only an hour and a half or so.
It was a strong sunshine/30C day this week, so future travellers are strongly advised to check the weather, and to take hats and sunscreen.
We booked this tour because we knew we wouldn't get to see everything we wanted to while in Tokyo. We flew in from Canada on the Sunday afternoon and this tour was perfect with a starting time of 12:30 on the Monday. The pick-up point was easy to access from the subway. We came back to a delightful tour guide who loves his city. He started with the escalator up to the top of the world trade tower that we met in, and then we headed to the Emperor's palace garden. Our guide was interesting, had great stories to share, and spoke English very well. We then headed to the shrine and the bazar or market place that leads to the shrine. Our guide made sure we understood all the acceptable behavior when going through the area, things like the fact that you can buy all sorts of tempting street food, but it is considered bad manners to walk and eat at the same time. Sounds silly but very glad he shared things like that with us. After a great hour at the shrine we headed to the river port meeting point just a block away and took a tour down the river. We wished our guide had kept us together as a group because his knowledge would have been handy as to what we were passing along the river. The boat's public announcement system wasn't great. Back in the safe hands of our guide, we continued on our tour and as we neared the end, he checked to see who was getting off at each of the two drop offs and made sure we all knew where we were going and how to get there efficiently. I have limited mobility and walk with a cane. This tour was very doable for me. Our only recommendation to Veltra would be to invest in over-the-ear microphones for your guides. They are assisting the bus driver as he navigates the streets of Tokyo, as well as using both hands to show maps, photos, and brochures. So, balancing the microphone and making sure he was speaking into it didn't always happen. This was a great tour of a beautiful city and we would do it again when we visit Tokyo next.
30分単位でバスがこれば良いなと思います。
I think it would be better if the bus arrives every 30 mins.
Great way to see the city, good guide and was pleased to meet four young girls
dressed in kimonos and ninja man for photos. Highly recommend the trip.
Pick up was on time from the hotel
tour very well organised
tour guides very professional friendly and informative
lunch was very good
cruise was very good also
drop off back to the hotel was well done
I will have no hesitation in recommending this tour to my friends
The Tour was completely enjoyable.
The food,Guide and places all were correctly organised neat and well.
The tour was well worth the money. Yoshi was a very knowledgeable and interesting guide. All the places seen were very good (pity blossom had come early so did not see a grand display). Although the azaleas were very colourful.
The tower was very good and the views from the top excellent. Imperial Palace gardens and other gardens were colourful.
A wonderful excursion I would recommend.
Trying to pick a tour is very hard for 6 others friends, having been twice to Tokyo before I wanted a mixed variety of sights.
Perhaps the most disappointing is the view of the Emperor's Palace, but that is a problem for Japan.
The tour was well organized.
The tour guide was well informed and communicated all the details in a orderly basis.
We were given ample time to enjoy the sights.
Well done
Rie is the best tour guide! My mother and I had a wonderful time walking around Yanaka. Rie is very knowledgeable about the area and took us to all of the best spots!
Thank you so much, Minal-san!
A tour guide with a good sense of humor and put us at ease and allow us to truly relax as we enjoy our tours and activities.
Thank you for your review with 5 stars!
We are very glad to hear that you enjoyed our tour.
I hope all the journey in Japan was awesome for you.
See you someday again.
Best regards,

Not enough stops, not enough pick-up points.
English narrative was good.
This is the second evaluation sent to me by your company. As written on the first evaluation, the tour went off explicitly well. When our tour guide Ken Takahashi introduced himself to the group @ Yokohama Port, he has this pleasing smile with an excellent diction in English. We have had a quality tour and he explained to us important and interesting highlights of the different era on the Japanese history.
On behalf of the group, we would like to extend our appreciation to Ken Takahashi, tour guide and driver Mr.Higashi san for making our day in Tokyo a memorable one.
Dear Evelyn,
It was very nice to have you and your friends in Japan the other day. We are glad to know you enjoyed both contemporary and traditional Japan during the tour. We do hope you visit Japan again not too distant future and allow us to have another opportunity to take you to other fantastic places in this beautiful country. Once again, we appreciate your choosing our company and encouraging evaluation to us.
Great tour , very patient tour leader, courteous driver. Surely give us memorable moment at Japan. Outstanding tour
WE returned our tickets, as it was inconvenient to use , it was raining and we were too tired.
Good way to explore Tokyo City. It was raining but covers on our bus is inoperable
It is worse than a similar service in Hong Kong by three criteria:
1) Flexibility for Hop-On and Off users
Purple and Red paths differ only by 3 stations. A short (3-stops) Purple extension to the Red one would be a better option for covering all sites.
2) Usage as an all-weather carrier from point A to point B.
No sitting places on the lower deck is a serious disadvantage on rainy or too sunny days.
3) No Russian language in the list. Adding this option is cheap and will draw more customers from CIS countries like myself (My wife does not speak English and I had to translate for her)
4) The good news is that Tokyo service is organized better than that in Kyoto :)
Mr. Tom, our personal guide took us to the Kawakuchiko lake to see Mt. Fuji and we were very lucky that it was a bright and sunny day that we can see the Mt. Fuji clearly. Our guide let us move onto the next sightseeing spots at our own pace so it is very enjoyable for the whole family!
We were disappointed with the tour. A long trip to a Park. A boat ride under a lot of bridges which was interrupted by the Guide wanting to know if we wanted the Bus back or would go our own way. Were told it might be 8pm before we got back. We hadn't been able to book into our Hotel before the tour and would need to find food etc so, 8pm was too late for us. We left the tour after the Boat trip and found your own way back by Train.
We found the tour guide very hard to understand and she talked non-stop about many uninteresting things or maybe we just couldn't understand her properly.
We would have like to see some points of interest like a Shrine or two, Tokyo Tower etc.
Sorry can't recommend this one.
We had a wonderful time! It was organized and on time.
Easy access and close to all main attractions; child friendly which was a bonus
Yoshi was an excellent guide. He showed us around well and was a good source of information. We would like to thank him very much.
Dear Izham
I'm very glad to see your comments and five stars.
I'll be with you in anywhere Japan if you have a chance to come to Japan again.
I hope your business will be prosperous forever.
I'm dreaming if I could perform as a Jazz singer in your music program in Malaysia.
Good luck!
Yoshi
Had so much fun with this tour especially with our good looking tour guide! I would highly recommend this to all my family and friend! I love the cherry blossom too
Thank you for joining tour and review.
We are happy to hear that.
We hope you have a lot of memories.

Endo-San was waiting for us at the appointed time in our hotel, he is truly fluent and an excellent guide and we had a knowledgeable and fun day. The other thing that was memorable was our udon lunch in a small restaurant (inn?) which was both delicious and good value. We ended the wonderful day with 45 minutes in an onsen - my first in an open-air onsen, looking at Mt Fuji. Of course thanks to God who gave us perfect weather and thus a marvellous view of the mountain. I would recommend Endo-San to anyone traveller.
The guide was informative but some sights were closed on Mondays.
The pace was swift during the tour.
Having to line up for 45min at the ticket office to redeem our prepaid voucher when unreserved people could purchase tickets 15 mins before was frustrating to say the least. Not enough buses, had to wait over an hour for the next bus only to wait in line again for people who had not purchased their tickets. The audio recording stopped half way through the description and was often out of sync with the locations.
If your interested in historic or cultural sights and information, don’t waste your time and money on this tour.
My family and I enjoyed the tour, it was informative and so much to see and take in...
I liked the audio narration option on the tour, it was presented in English
I would recommend the tour and to arrive as early as possible, furthermore it leaves the option of going back to explore further by using the “ hop on and off “ option...
This tour made me enjoy seeing Mt Fuji at our own pace. We were picked up by a good driver and a knowledgeable tour guide. Upon riding the van wee discussed first the final.itinerary. the guide Akiko detailed out the places we were visiting and their significance. So we proceeded as planned to the heritage center shrine lunch near the pond and the lake. My family enjoyed it very much especially at our own pace. I highly recommend this tour to small groups.
