I took my overseas friends with me. It was my first time too, but they seemed very satisfied!

Since we were on the second floor of the open bus, the traffic lights and signs were right there...! The Rainbow Bridge was breathtaking!

It was a bit rainy, so it felt like Splash Mountain, which was fun. (laughs)

The guide was wonderful as well.

I want to ride again!

Very easy, fun trip for tourists

I wanted an easy introduction to Tokyo, and this worked perfectly. We saw so many highlights, and our guide (and guide in training) was wonderful. My favorite site was Asakusa, but the boat tour was outstanding too. I highly recommend this tour as an introduction to Tokyo. It is relaxing and fun and not strenuous.

It was very amazing and beautiful Japan is! I admire the Japanese people about there culture and mostly there attitude, generally they are nice and patient people....I didnt experienced any discrimination where ever we went, Tokyo is really a nice place to come visit...so peaceful and clean...I also recommend our tour guide yulie who is very knowledgeable about the place and very accommodating, Im sure i want to come back soon and book my trip to your company again. This tour was alright. The sights we were brought to were good and entertaining. Although the time allocated for each stop was not even close to being enough...the tsukiji fish market was excellent and the food was great and at the same time affordable. The buffet was not exeptional considering the price that was paid for it. Overall it is a tour that all first timers in tokyo must do. But really it was the tour assistant LEVIN that made the tour interesting. Thank you to LEVIN

Barely worth the effort

Overall this tour was quite disappointing. It started with being sent to the wrong hotel for pick up and then being made to feel like it was our fault that we were where we had been told to be. Not an apology from anyone. The actual tour itself took us to the Tokyo Tower, which can easily be accessed by JR, a tea ceremony that was awkward at best and boring at its worst, after that it was off to the Imperial Palace (well the garden anyway. Most of us chose to lay under the trees for the half hour allocated (again made to feel guilty for not being on the bus early even though we were right in front of it). The lunch was a highlight at the Chinzhano Hotel, restaurant staff were very accommodating and the setting was lovely. After that we headed for a boat tour, the purpose of which I am still uncertain, to say it was boring is an understatement, nevertheless we ended up at Asakusa, which was interesting but not enough time had been allowed to make it worthwhile and then back to Tokyo station to leave the tour. We were not the only ones happy to get off the bus. I would not take this tour again but I would find my own way by JR to the main highlights, it would take far less time and cost a lot less money.

The buses all have a long waiting time, between 60 to 90 minutes for the next ride. They are on schedule which is nice but the ride also goes too fast. The audio will cut off halfway while explaining a monument or something of the sort and then will never complete. The audio also usually didn't sync with what was being seen/ passed by which was annoying.

Two of the routes are almost exactly the same, one with an additional four stops in Roppongi but you're really paying for two and a quarter lines, not three.

Seating is only on the top deck so if it's boiling hot or pouring rain, you're out of luck. I have taken hop on, hop off buses around the world but this has to be one of the worst. Would NOT recommend.

Full day tour of Tokyo Top Sights

We are using Veltra tours for several years across different continents and countries. All tours are of very high quality and very good value for money. This tour in Tokyo was not an exception.
First of all: itinerary is very well developed. Between each stops bus passing very interesting places. During the whole tour you are keep looking around. Worth mentioning that tour guide Mario speaking fluent English, very knowlegeable and friendly. Bus was very comfortable, good working Fi Wi. Buffet lunch included in the tour was of very high quality, very tasty with big options of meals from different origins.
Tokyo bay is a must see. Spectacular views of Tokyo harbour from the cruise boat.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Since I used it on a midsummer day, everything was hot when I got in, and it was difficult to fasten the seatbelt. However, once we got onto the public road, it was cool, and the guide provided enjoyable commentary, making the time fly by. If I had to wish for something, it would be that the time spent driving in the river was a bit short, so I would have liked a little more of that.

真夏日に利用したため、乗ったときはシート等全てが熱くて、シートベルトするのも大変でしたが、公道へ出ると涼しく、また、ガイドさんが楽しく解説付きでお話してくれるので、あっという間でした。

Good insight to Tokyo

Our first visit to Tokyo and the tour gave us a brief overview of the city. Fortunately we were a small group on the day and this allowed us more contact with the guide. The guide appeared to have good knowledge of Tokyo and the places of interest we visited. Although his English was not great we were able to follow the thread of his presentation. The lunch was good with a great view of the harbour below and the boat trip around the harbour after lunch was also very enjoyable. We felt it was good value for money.

We, a group of 7 adults, chose the tour having browsed the internet. The review was good and what we experienced was great! Taiji san is knowledgable, helpful and very accomodative. He picked up us at the hotel on time. We discussed and agreed the itinerary, modified one. We added Nenba and Halal Ramen Tokyo to end the day.
Taiji san is a skillful driver. Driving 10 seater Toyota Hiace he skillfully manouvered in very narrow Tokyo streets when we tried to locate Halal Ramen. Taiji san even attended our exhibition the next day. For us, Taiji san is beyond a tour guide, he is our new friend in Japan.

We were picked up at our hotel at the exact time as mentioned. 1st, we went to the Fujisan heritage center, and on the way our tour guide explained us everything! History, roads, emperors and my favorite THE LAST SAMURAI :) 2nd part of our day was the yummy yakiniku lunch and 3rd we went to Gotemba Premium Outlet! (shopped til we dropped haha). It was supposed to be the last part of our tour but our guide (Taiji) was kind enough to drive us around tokyo and the busy streets of Ginza! What a bonus!

It's mostly cloudy in Tokyo during the month of June. It was sunny and hot when we went on the bus ride. The whole experience was great except the sun shining excessively on us. Don't forget to apply sunscreen and bring something to keep you covered from the sun.

Taiji was our tour guide on this trip just this March 2017. He brought us to a temple, the lake with Mt. Fuji view and Gotemba shopping area. All with considerations on our end. He was very friendly and accommodating, answered questions about the trip.
We had lunch with him and he shared stories with us. He also asked questions about us and he also took our pictures.

He even offered to wait for our shopping time and when we're about to get off, he asked if we have plans for the next day because he's willing to give a city tour. However we do have planned itinerary already so we just thanked him.

He also helped me find my purse which I lost on that day. Sadly, we weren't able to retrieve it.

I recommend him as a very friendlya nd helpful tour guide. He speaks english well and can converse naturally.

Tokyo Half-Day Small Group Bike Tour from Toranomon Hills

Fun, surprisingly easy cycling in Tokyo.

What a delight! Had an excellent experience with Hiro as our cycling guide. We started at Toranomon Hills, thru the consumerism of Ginza, the frenetic and lively Tsukiji Fish Market, 3-4 hidden gems of shrines and some lovely urban parks, the bike tour took us through quickly and efficiently through Tokyo! I believe it was the best way to explore at ground level. No tour bus, taxi or subway could have accomplished the route we took. Yes, we stopped at shops but nothing seemed forced and all were meant to experience what Tokyo residents do (that is, shops were geared to locals, not tourists per se, as there seemed to be more locals). We sampled red bean buns at the oldest bakery (est. 860), an old shoya shop (fermented ebi), a tea shop near the fish market, a popular and famous bento shop for lunch and the most popular taiyaki (red bean fish waffle). You should be confident on a bicycle and have a good sense of safety and be traffic savvy, follow the rules, stay alert and listen to the guide.

Worst hop on hop off bus I have experienced

I have been on many throughout my travels and this would be the worst experience I have had. The driver was terrible! The bus lurched, braked suddenly and all the other actions you can imagine from the roughest ride ever. I had to actually leave the tour about half way through as my back was hurting so much. Due to the infrequency of the tours we were only able to do the blue route which was a shame as all you really saw was the Tokyo tower and the rest was just driving around this huge City.
Very disappointing. It was the only black mark of all our travels in Japan which we absolutely loved.

I participated with eight colleagues who came from overseas. Although I usually work in Tokyo, seeing the city from an open-top bus offered a fresh perspective. We were able to enjoy the Tokyo Tower's light-up right beneath it, and I was moved, thinking, "It was this beautiful!"

We traveled from the Shuto Expressway through the Rainbow Bridge to Odaiba. Experiencing the Shuto Expressway and Rainbow Bridge while feeling the wind was a valuable experience. During the one hour of free time, we took photos with the Statue of Liberty and the Rainbow Bridge, enjoyed ice cream, and took a group photo, though we felt a bit rushed for time.

I recommend this experience not only to tourists but also to those working in Tokyo.

海外から来ていた同僚と一緒に8人で参加しました。普段から東京で働いていますが、オープントップバスから見る東京の街は、目線が違うこともあり新鮮。ちょうど東京タワーのライトアップが始まる時間に真下で鑑賞。『こんなにキレイだったんだ！』と感動しました。

首都高からレインボーブリッジを通ってお台場へ。風を感じながらの首都高＆レインボーブリッジも貴重な体験です。フリータイムの1時間は、自由の女神像とレインボーブリッジの写真を撮ったり、アイスを食べたり、全員でプルクラを撮ったりと、少し時間が足りなかったくらいでした。

観光客の人たちはもちろん、東京で働いている人にもオススメします。
