撮影は20カットで予約したつもりが16カットで、撮影場所が１ヶ所なので、ヘアメイクが終った後に順番待ちを、してる方もいました。
撮影した写真から後日フォトにして送ってもらえる写真を選ぶシートが小さく、選ぶのに苦労しました。
直ぐに携帯にデータが欲しいという方やリーズナブル済ませたい。という方にはオススメしません。自由撮影はロビーのみなので、撮影ブースでは禁止でした。

店にはゆとりを持って向かったのですが、思ったより狭いところで、気づかずに通り過ぎてしまい、かなり焦りました。大しゃもじの場所から電話で場所を聞きゆっくり見てやっとわかりました。デジカメや携帯でたくさん写真を撮っていただきました。本当は、衣装を着て観光する、アクティビティーがあればもっとよかったので、評価は星三つです。でも衣装は暑いので、撮影だけとしている理由もわかりました。次回があるとすれば、ペアで体験したいです。

This experience has been the highlight of my trip. The transformation was incredible, and every step of the way was carefully executed with the utmost precision. I was so impressed with how the studio dealt with a high number of clients and yet still made me feel well looked after. I was so delighted with the final results, I felt like a lifelong dream had come true. The staff's professionalism and kindness are stellar, and the make up, wig and dressing artists are incredibly talented. The photographer really knows how to bring out the best in you, and she was so lovely she offered to take some pictures of me with my camera during my free photo time since I was travelling solo. There even was a make up artist in the wash room to help me clean the make up on my shoulders - they truly thought of everything and cater to all circumstances. I did not feel uncomfortable for one second. Pricing was a very good deal thanks to booking through Veltra, I got 50% off which meant I could happily add on a photo book and some other extras. I would recommend the half wig, it looks much more natural and it's worth the extra money. I will truly cherish this as one of my most treasured memories from Japan. Transforming into a Maiko in Kyoto is a beautiful dream come true, and I will not hesitate to come back to studio Shiki again for a Geisha makeover next time.

It was a dream come true to experience the full maiko experience and to walk out fully dressed (which was quite an exciting experience sitting for full makeup and then being dressed) to show off to my fiancé who was waiting for me dressed as a samurai. The photographers were kind, gentle, and encouraging. They were surprisingly fast and efficient which made me nervous at first but the pictures came out fantastic. Wonderful experience and I highly recommend!! Great place with everything you need.

冬でしたが天候は晴れの日の京都で、舞妓散策プランを体験しました。
受付の着物を着た女性は日本語、中国語、英語を話せる方で尊敬しました。
メイクは素早くクオリティが高かったです。
舞妓さんなので半カツラをお願いしましたが、半カツラにして良かったです。とても自然な完成度でした。
着物も朝だったので様々な色がありました。着付けもこれまた手際が良い☆
撮影を補助してくれたスタッフの笑顔がとても良かったです。撮影を済ませ、散策プランでしたので45分間の散策とゆっくり外で撮影することができました。途中、外国人の方から本物の舞妓さんだと思われ写真を撮られましたが彼らは喜んでいました。
帰りの支度までで3時間近くかかりましたが、夢のような時間を過ごすことができました。
後から来たお客は皆、外国人の方で人気のお店なんだなと思いました。
とても清潔で綺麗な店内でした。

They did my makeup so well and it was really great. They ask you if you would prefer a "cute look" or a "beautiful look" and do your makeup style for whichever you choose. They can change the look with eyebrow makeup and eyeliner. I chose the "cute look" makeup.

You can choose from so many kinds of kimono and kanzashi! While I asked the staff several questions like "what color of kimono do real maiko wear?" I chose my kimono. As for my kanzashi, I chose June's flower, the hydrangea.

The photographer was also wonderful and made me feel much less nervous with the fun conversation we had. I recommend taking the photos in the garden which has a different atmosphere from the room.

While walking around, a lot of travelers took photos with me! It was really embarrassing, but on the other hand, it made me happy!
The changing room is very large and they have face wash, shampoo, lotion, hair dryers, towels, contact lens solution, so you don't need to bring anything.

I showed my mother and grandmother the photos I took on the day of the makeover and they loved them!
Next time I want to bring my friends from other prefectures and from overseas to do this with me. Thank you for making it a great experience from start to finish.

One of the highlights of the whole trip to Japan. We immersed in culture by completely transforming into Maiko and Samurai. Staff was super polite and helpful. Very fast moving with the confidence on what they have been doing. Helping dress us up
into Maiko kimono was not an easy task. Same with putting full make up. It was simply awesome!! Tens of kimonos to choose from, couple of options of wigs.
Fotoshoot was also entertaining and they gave us 10 min to take pictures by ourselves as we wish. At the end they prepared a cd and a little booklet with good quality pictures which is going to be one of the best pictures from a Japan trip.
Those pictures among many we posted on FB from the trip to Japan got the most raving comments. The price was also very reasonable for a couple. Recommend it very much!

It was a very fun experience! I was glad I was able to buy more poses and the backgrounds they used were very nice. You definitely need to plan for ample time before and during as it may take longer than expected.

This was a fun addition to our trip to Japan. The studio is in a perfect neighbourhood. The setting is professional.
the overall experience was nice, but at times I thought it was a bit to commercial to my taste. We were rushes through hair, make-up and dressing. Except for the choice of kimono and obi (they were beuatiful) there was little room for questions, remarks and personal taste.
I thought it was a pitty that it is forbidden to take snapshots during the process, something I was more interested in than the end-result.
The photographer is very professional in a good way. He is quick, but not rushed. He knows his trade and the pictures turned out nice.
Having said so, i would recommand this place.

Be prepared for them to try and up-sell you a lot when you get there. And don't be too disappointed if the pics are not great. They do not work with what is best for you, everybody gets put in the same pose and that will not work for everybody.

Professional and friendly staff. The staff can speak English. I have enjoyed the stroll plan for walk around and get some nice photo and compliment from tourist. Nice experience and memory in Kyoto. The photo which taken from studio only 3 photos are good out of 9 photos. I am lucky with the weather and have a good photos with students and surrounding. This was my 2nd time so I would recommended to anyone come in Kyoto to try this.

They know enough phrases to explain the make-up being applied and what to do during the dressing up. The photographer is very good in instructing small movements in order to get the right shot. Clients however don't get to choose the shot to be printed as this is under the discretion of the photographer. All shots can be viewed but clients have to purchase a CD worth 2000yen + tax which I find to be on the pricey side. Overall, the experience still is one of the highlights of my Japan trip.

素敵な体験をさせていただきありがとうございました。
ただ、紅葉シーズンのためか非常に混雑しており、所要時間2時間とあったところ3時間近くかかってしまい、あとに予定していた清水寺観光を諦めざるを得ませんでした。
あらかじめexcuseがあればよかったかも。
とはいえ、60歳を過ぎたおばさん3人を芸妓にしていただき写真を撮っていただき、素敵な思い出になりました。ありがとうございます。

Found it a little difficult to locate. As such I arrived ten minutes late. Thankfully the staff were understanding and spoke good English so communication was easy. Getting dressed up in the layers upon layers that make up the outfit was fun. The photo shoot was good but the photographer chooses the poses. It did make it bit unnatural. The photographs are of high quality and there are a number of additional options you can choose from on arrival. The experience was good and given the chance I'd do it again.

This was a really neat thing to experience. It was fun and unique and I'm glad I did it. It was wonderful to have the final 10minutes outside for personal photos so that I could share some of the experience with my husband and have photos for social media.

I wish they would have had a package for the professional photos to be emailed with a link to the shots. Most people don't need printed photos these days and I won't use mine.

It would also be helpful to have a little more support for those who don't speak Japanese but if you're fluent in charades, it was worth it under the sale price (around 6,200 yen with a few worthwhile additions).

Ps- pay the extra for the "half wig" (looks way better) and bring your own straightener!

I arrived about 9am for dressed up instead of 10.00am for an appointment as not sure the direction but it was easy to find once my husband look on Google Earth. The staff was very friendly and professionally. They will ask if I would like to do additional photo shots in studio on arrival. I choose to do more photos as the set up in studio look nice and suitable for the Maiko dressed up. The dressed up and make up took about 1 1/2 . My plan was a stroll plan which I allow to walk in Kimono for 45 minutes but there was a mistake so after they found out the mistake the studio told my husband that they will not charge extra for an additional photos make in studio as I did not walk around in Kimono as booked. I would returning to Kyoto again next year and would recommended anyone come to Kyoto try Maiko dressed up experience.
