The beautiful mossy forest and the breathtaking view from Taiko Rock were amazing! It wasn't as tough as Jomon Sugi, but it wasn't lacking either. The guide's pace was just right, and their interesting explanations made it enjoyable. I also appreciated the miso soup that was provided along the way. Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 10, we had to take a detour for part of the route. I pray for a swift recovery. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I had a 9-hour course from 9 AM to 6 PM, where I was taken around by a hotel plan in Itoman City to Kouri Island and the Fukugi Tree Lane! On the way to Kouri Island, we stopped by A&W Makishi and BLUESEAL main store, as well as a place for acai bowls. I had mentioned beforehand that we were heading towards Kouri Island, but I made additional requests on the day itself. The driver efficiently took us around, and it was really helpful that they researched during our waiting times. Most importantly, the driver was more enthusiastic than us, taking photos at each spot, and was incredibly knowledgeable about photo points, making sure the angles were perfect. The driver was the best! Since it was a trip for two people without a license, we used a sightseeing taxi, and thanks to the local driver who was familiar with the roads, we were able to visit all the places we wanted efficiently. Both of us were able to take a nap during the ride, conserving our energy, which was great! Thank you so much for accommodating our last-minute request to buy fireworks! Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the fireworks we had been looking forward to that night.

When it seemed like my mother might not be able to manage a certain place, the guide kindly helped her pass the time, allowing us kids to explore on our own, which was reassuring. Since I requested a course with plenty of time, the guide mentioned that we could add more stops if we wanted, and whenever I suggested a place, he smoothly took us there. I don't think we could have navigated Kyoto as efficiently if we had rented a car, especially with all the one-way streets; I was truly impressed by the professionalism!

From the moment we started walking on the stone pavement from Kodaiji, the driver shared interesting stories and suggested we take photos at various spots. It was a family summer vacation.
With a typhoon forecast, we had a short three hours, but we were taken to the long-awaited Kinkaku-ji and Ginkaku-ji.
On the way back, the driver suggested a different station than the one we had planned, allowing us to have some extra time for our next train. The rest of the schedule also had plenty of time, and we were able to enjoy ourselves to the fullest.

Although we had a private charter for 7 hours, we were able to cover a lot efficiently, and considering the fulfillment we experienced, I think it was inexpensive.

However, we used taxis several times for transportation, and it seemed like the driving was quite rough. Although this was not a sightseeing taxi, the children felt nauseous several times. The way they overtook and followed the car in front was something we wouldn't expect here in Kansai. Next time, while I might consider using a private sightseeing taxi again, I think I will opt for a rental car for other transportation.

観光でいろいろと説明してくれたり、車内でも子供も一緒だったので勉強になる話(自衛隊、基地等)もたくさんしてくれました。お人柄もよくとてもいい思い出になりました。
7時間貸切でしたが、効率よく回れて、充実感を考えれば、安いと思います。

ただ、他にも移動でタクシーを何回も使いましたが、運転が皆さん荒いように思います。
今回の、観光タクシーでは無いのですが、子供たちも何度も酔いそうになりました。
追い越し方も、前の車に詰め方も、こちら関西では考えられません。
次回は、貸切観光タクシーは利用てもいいですが、その他はレンタカーにしようと思いました。

It was sunny while we were on our way to Jomon Sugi, but unexpectedly, rain fell that wasn't in the weather forecast, so we had to use our folding umbrella.

We had planned to go to Taiko Rock in Shiratani Unsuikyo, but as the weather worsened and the river rose due to the rain, we changed our plans and ended up trekking to the Mossy Forest instead.

Tsugimachi-san adjusted the walking pace to match our physical condition, and along the way, he shared fun stories and quizzes with us. Thanks to him, what could have been a silent and challenging trek turned into an enjoyable experience!

It was a fulfilling trek where we could connect with the great outdoors, something we don't usually get to experience!

縄文杉へ行く最中は晴れていましたが、途中天気予報にはなかった雨が降り、折りたたみ傘を使用しました。

I had a wonderful trip thanks to our guide and driver, Mr. Suzuki, who was incredibly attentive and showed us the hidden gems of Kyoto!

When I shared that it was my husband's family's first visit to Japan, along with their hometowns and interests, he picked out recommended sightseeing spots for us. Since we were traveling with a baby, he ensured safe driving and selected routes that suited the day's weather. It was very helpful to visit places we would never have thought of on our own.

At each location, he passionately shared historical stories, insights about Zen, and explanations about architectural features and name origins, which were very educational. Even if we had visited with a guidebook, I believe there would have been many things we wouldn't have understood or noticed. Having a guide made our time very meaningful.

I also appreciated the hospitality, such as taking family photos at recommended spots and lending us an umbrella. I would definitely like to request his services again when we visit Kyoto!

We used this service for our second visit to Kyoto in over a decade with our family of five. We wanted to visit Kifune Shrine, but thanks to our driver's advice, we changed our plans and were able to pray for our son's exam success at Kitano Tenmangu instead, which made for a fulfilling experience. Our family stayed at a hotel in the northern part of Okinawa. The driver was very kind and helpful, making great use of our time by taking us to various sightseeing spots. Besides the places we wanted to visit, he suggested other destinations for us to choose from.

First, we went to Kouri Island to see the Heart Rock, then headed to Nago City's Pineapple Park, where we enjoyed fresh Sata Andagi and soft serve ice cream at a roadside station. なだらかながらも延々とトロッコ道を8キロ歩行
途中手すりなしの橋を渡ったり、手すりはあるけど死亡事故が起きた橋を渡ったり、なかなかスリリングで飽きることはありませんでした。
途中屋久鹿を見る幸運にも恵まれてトロッコ道は終了。一休みしてからいよいよ険しい山道に挑みます。ここからは定期的に樹齢1000年以上数千年の屋久杉が現れてこれまた飽きない登山でした。
そして最後に大御所縄文杉を拝むことができました。その大きさと刻み込まれた凹凸はこの縄文杉の過ごした年月を感じることができました。雄大かつ魁偉な姿を写真に収めて満足でした。
帰りは登りの疲れが出てきて急な段差をくだる山下りとそのあと延々と続くトロッコ道で最後はふくらはぎは攣りそうになりました。ちなみに私はフルマラソンサブ4ランナーですから、このトレッキングはそれなりに体力を要求されると実感しました。
ただトレッキングの間興味ある話を提供してくれ、かつ的確な場所で撮影をしてくれたガイドの津曲さんのおかげで充実したトレッキングになったと思います。ありがとうございました。

On the morning of the tour, we received a message from our guide, Mr. Katayama, about the meeting place. His kind and pleasant demeanor put us at ease.

In addition to the places we requested in advance, such as Toji and Sanjusangendo, we also visited Toyokuni Shrine, Hōkō-ji, Nanzen-ji, and Chion-in. Not only did he share his extensive historical knowledge, but he also took us on a route where we could see famous sites from the car window. It was truly a comprehensive experience.

For lunch, he made a reservation for us, and we were guided to our table without any wait. The recommended chicken miso udon was a hit with the whole family, and the garden was beautiful as well.

Actually, my father, who has been having knee problems over the years, was worried about the strain on his legs during this trip to Kyoto. However, thanks to Mr. Katayama's consideration and his constant smile, it became an unforgettable journey for everyone.

事前に希望としてお伝えした東寺、三十三間堂に加え、豊国神社、方広寺、南禅寺、知恩院…歴史の知識はさることながら、それ以外に車窓から名所を辿れるルートを走って下さったり、本当に至れり尽くせりでした。
昼食もお店を予約して下さり、待つことなくご案内頂けました。おすすめの鶏みそうどんの味に、家族みな感動しました。庭もとてもきれいでした。

実は、年々膝が悪くなっていた父は、今回の京都旅でも足の負担を心配しておりました。しかし、片山さんのご配慮と終始笑顔でのご対応に、皆にとって忘れられない旅になりました。

Mr. Katayama, our driver, arrived on time at Kyoto Station. We had a four-hour free course, and it was really fun as he took us to places we wanted to go and even some we didn't know about. Additionally, Mr. Katayama is fluent in English. My husband is British and doesn't understand much Japanese. When I asked the driver for recommendations on beaches, he shared about some hidden gems that are not well-known to tourists. We decided to visit those beaches before heading to Kouri Island, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice.

As he mentioned, there were hardly any tourists, and it felt like a private beach—such a wonderful place! I have visited Okinawa several times, but this was by far the most beautiful scenery I've seen, and the water's clarity was breathtaking! I only dipped my feet this time, but it seems swimming is allowed, so if I have the chance next time, I would love to swim there.

Additionally, we were able to visit all the places I wanted to go and try different shops, which made me very satisfied.

名護パイナップルパーク→美ら海水族館近辺→古宇利島と北部の観光予定で8時間お願いしましたが、運転手さんのオススメビーチをお伺いしたところ、地元の方ではないとなかなか知らないようなビーチのお話を聞かせて頂き、美ら海近辺から急遽そちらを回ってから、最後に古宇利島にしました。
お話通り、観光客はほとんどおらず、まさにプライベートビーチのような素晴らしい場所でした。
何度か沖縄に来てはいましたが、今までで一番景色が綺麗なのはもちろん、水の透明度も高く感動しました！
今回は足元だけつかりましたが、一応遊泳も出来るようなので、もし次回機会があれば、泳ぎに来たいと思います。
それ以外にもやりたいことや行きたいお店をしっかり回って頂き、大変満足でした。

又、車内でも次の日の予定などのご相談にのって頂いたり、オススメの沖縄そば屋さんなども教えてもらいありがたかったです。
そして何より運転手さんの優しいお人柄に癒されました。
今回小学生の娘と二人でレンタカーなどのない沖縄旅行でかなり不安だったのですが、一生の思い出になる程楽しい旅行になりました。
