During a business trip to Tokyo, I took my first-ever rickshaw ride in Asakusa. Even though it was morning, it was a hot day where just standing made me sweat, but I received very polite service. I was lucky to have a young man named Shima, who was passionate about his work, as my rickshaw puller. It became a wonderful memory.

I’m currently living in Tokyo on a student visa from Germany, and this was my first time trying out Ninja Zen Meditation.

The staff picked me up at the meeting spot and guided me to the venue, so I didn’t have to worry about getting lost. The place itself was a really cool traditional Japanese house. Just stepping inside made it feel like I was entering a completely different world, which got me really excited for the experience.

The meditation wasn’t just sitting quietly but included unique movements like walking blindfolded and using a wooden sword, which kept things interesting and fun. I never felt bored because the balance was just right, and I found it easy to focus.

There was also an English interpreter the whole time, so I could easily follow along without any stress.

They also gave us a booklet on the “Kuji-Goshin-Ho” (Nine Syllable Protection Method) and an English pamphlet about Ninja Zen Meditation, both of which I’m definitely taking back to Germany as great souvenirs.

This was my first time riding a rickshaw. I had a wonderful time for about an hour, thanks to the various considerations shown to me. While enjoying the view of the streets, I was impressed by the rickshaw driver's wide range of conversation. Not only did he share history and background, but he also studied simple greetings in English and Chinese to entertain inbound customers. What surprised me the most was the comparison between the Shiki Theatre Company and the rickshaw. I was moved by the confidence backed by his efforts when he mentioned, "The product is Kousei" (I forgot the kanji for the name). I seriously thought about whether rickshaws could be incorporated into employee training. I was touched by his professionalism.

人力車に初めて乗車。色々とお気遣い頂きながら、約1時間、楽しく過ごせました。
街並みを眺めながら、人力車のお兄さんのトークの幅の広さに感動。歴史や由来だけでなく、インバウンドのお客様に楽しんで頂くために、英語や中国語の簡単な挨拶を勉強されていたり。一番驚いたのは、劇団四季と人力車の比較。商品はコウセイ（お名前漢字を失念）です、と言う努力に裏付けされた自信に感動。

I missed it! This time, there was a guest appearance by Sento-kun from Nara. It was a children's event, haha. The food in the lounge and all the performances were aimed at kids, so it felt a bit lacking for me and my mother. The Noh theater inside the hotel was very beautiful, with great facilities and stage. The restrooms were clean and easy to find. It was the middle of summer in Shibuya, but it was very cool, and we were able to spend our time comfortably.

I invited my best friend to experience Kyogen for the first time. I actually wanted to wear a kimono, but it was too hot, so I gave up. I was amazed to find such a pure Japan experience so close to Shibuya Station! The moment I stepped into the Noh theater, I exclaimed, "Wow!"

Since it was a kids' session, there were many explanations for children, but adults also had plenty to learn and laugh about. From the pre-show talk to the main performance and the subsequent quiz and photo session, I enjoyed it all to the fullest. I definitely want to participate again.

本当は着物を着て行きたかったけど、暑くて断念。渋谷の駅近にこれほど純ジャパン！な場所があるなんて…能楽堂に一歩足を踏み入れた瞬間「わぁー！」と感嘆してしまいました。

As a beginner in rakugo, taikagura, and wajima (being Japanese), I found the explanations to be thorough and easy to understand, which made it enjoyable♪ Not only could we watch and listen, but we also had the opportunity to experience it hands-on with small props, making it a great experience⭐︎ I was able to take the props home as souvenirs, and I showcased them to my husband when I returned (^.^) I thought it would be nice to participate along with my overseas friends when they visit Japan and go to Kanda Myojin!

There were many foreigners present, and during some of the magic tricks, they even revealed how they were done, so I was able to participate without getting bored. I think I'll show it to my acquaintances. Haha!

On the first departure of the day, other participants cheerfully shouted "Have a great time!" which made me feel a bit embarrassed but also happy, and I couldn't help but wave back. There were some mishaps like dropping my towel and my hat, but the person in the car next to me opened their window to let me know, and someone who picked up my things ran over to return them. It was my first time in Tokyo, and I realized there are kind people here.

Although it was a short time, our guide, Daichan, was full of smiles and energy despite the heat. I had a great time. Next time, I want to join a longer course.

It's a rental service that attracts many foreigners, and I was able to wear a kimono that was much cuter than I expected! The place is small, but the staff, who speak multiple languages, are friendly, and their sense of kimono dressing and hairstyles is outstanding. Overall, it was a smooth process. Also, I couldn't help but think that the kimono I wore while walking around Asakusa was the cutest! I would love to use this service again.

At first, the child seemed nervous about riding a rickshaw for the first time, but thanks to the brother who called out their name many times and said, "Let's go!" they quickly became comfortable with him and appeared to be enjoying themselves.

Before getting on and while taking photos, he was diligent about sanitizing, and they had proper COVID-19 measures in place.

Riding on a vehicle that was taller than cars felt like being in an open-top car (which it actually was), and since the weather was nice, it was very pleasant.

The heated flooring (laughs) was also effective, and with the warm clothing provided, we were able to enjoy sightseeing without feeling cold.

I definitely want to ride again!

When my friend came and we actually attended, the entire program was conducted in a bilingual format, and all participants were able to experience traditional Japanese games, which allowed me to enjoy it as well. Of course, my friend was very satisfied too. If another friend from overseas visits in the future, I would definitely like to participate again.

Behind the Sensoji shrine and a Buddhist monk
Have us an unpected gift on leaving which also seemed to surprise Kuzuki
Pictures were taken in a few key spots and story telling w/ voices and singing occurred on our ride and tour- an enjoyable 2 hours!

Our family of four (two older teenagers) loved this experience. We were in a class with a number of experienced drummers practicing for a performance. They were practicing particular parts and we could just join in with the basic skills we learnt in the hour and a half without disturbing their practice too much. It meant we could really get the feel of the breadth and complexity and skill involved but we didn’t feel useless. Our instructor spoke enough English to convey the things needed (we have no Japanese so we’re very grateful) and was really enthusiastic and welcoming. It’s just a small random studio in a random street but the instructions to find it worked. We finished with a “competition” between ourselves about who could drum the loudest. Really great fun!!

We paid for an hour long class, but the class only went for 30 mins and we only made one thing. A bit disappointing with our 10 year old girl who was so excited. The woman was nice, but this was not worth $USD 28 per person at all. Overall disappointing.
