My husband and I only had a day to spend in Kyoto and we looked into day tours but most only took you to two sites. The hop on hop off bus was a great solution. It took us to all the major sites and we get to see way more in 1 day then we would have otherwise. The bus station stop by Kyoto station was easy to find and the other stations were well marked. Staff was friendly and even let us know if certain buildings were closed due to coral virus. When it started to rain we received a poncho as we were getting off the bus and the next bus we got on was enclosed. After the rain stopped we go on an open roof bus and the staff even came up to wipe down any seats that might still be wet. Totally worth it if you only have a short amount of time in Kyoto
