The bus tour was a great way to explore two UNESCO villages even on a very rainy day. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny giving us tips along the way in both Japanese and English.
We were a small group of just about 15 people on a bus for about 27. The bus was very comfy. The time we had to explore on our own was sufficient. The lunch was very yummy and served traditional style.
He gave us the right amount of tips to me and my family as a first time diver and tailored the second dive based on what we wanted. Standup guy in my book.
This is a must stop for anyone who desires an authentic Tokyo experience. The hosts are not only talented but so welcoming. Where else would you get homemade cake and 40 years of artistic expression? This is not an experience my family will soon forget.
We had a great time at the kitsugi workshop where we not only learned exactly how to use the tools and create the art but also where we can get supplies to apply our learnings at home.
Wholeheartedly recommend to take 3 hours out of your time in Tokyo to do this.
