    • The professional mountain guide will accompany the group for the entire climb, from the Fuji Subaru Line Fifth Station to the mountain cabin for the overnight stay, to the summit and then back to the Fifth Station. The guide leads the group on the ascent and generally follows the group on the descent.
    • An English-speaking tour guide will accompany the group from the Willer Bus terminal and through the entire trip until the return at Shinjuku West Exit. A staff member will be present to facilitate the meeting with the guide at the Fifth Station on Fuji Subaru Line and also at the departure of the return bus.
    • This tour is a group activity. During the ascent and descent, follow the instructions of the guide. This includes the instruction to terminate your participation in the climb if, in the guide’s judgment, you are unfit to continue, if you fall too far behind the group’s pace, you are inadequately prepared or you are otherwise unable to safely climb the mountain.
    • A staff member will be present for the return bus loading. Please wait until the staff member has completed the guest check-in process and gives instructions. Do not go looking for the bus before that time.
    • Guests with tattoos will not be allowed to use the hot springs.

How long does it take to climb Mt. Fuji?
  • Climbing tours take two days on the Yoshida Trail. The schedule is designed so that climbers get to see the sunrise at the summit of the mountain.
Where can I buy Mt. Fuji walking sticks?
  • The walking sticks are available for sale at the 5th Station, the entry point to climbing the mountain. You get a stamp for each station you reach. A stamping area is available at each station.
What clothes should I wear when climbing Mt. Fuji?
  • Warm clothing and rain wear. The temperature drops as the altitude gets higher. Mountain weather is also unpredictable, which is why rain wear is important. Good hiking shoes are a must. All these can be rented when upon booking.
Should I bring snacks?
  • Bringing your own snacks is recommended. While food and drinks are available at certain stops in the mountain, the prices get higher with the altitude.
Can beginners climb Mt. Fuji?
  • Yes. The tours are conducted at a pace suitable for beginners.
