I had been searching for an authentic artistic experience in Tokyo that felt like it wasn’t just created for tourists. This class fit the bill perfectly, and Yoshiko and Yoshiichiro Kuge were wonderful instructors. They have been running a ceramics studio for over 50 years and teaching the art of kintsugi for 40 years. They have full, months-long apprenticeships but also do one-day workshops as an introduction. We learned a lot in their tiny studio, and our college-age artist plans to continue the practice at home. Our hosts even gave us a shopping list for supplies! (The supplies were available locally at Hands department store in Shinjuku and elsewhere.)
The afternoon was relaxed, including tea and snacks provided by our hosts. They wrapped our creations securely in plastic containers to take home. The tea cups we repaired are food safe too, which I saw is not the case for other classes.
I highly recommend this experience. It was truly a highlight of our trip!
The location is near Koenji, a fun neighborhood to explore for thrifting and music.
Thanks! Great trip with great people & many impressions!
Great teachers and unique experience. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely day creating little desserts in ikebukuro. The instructions were easy to follow and our guide was very helpful. English was okay and they showed a video so we were able to follow, plus the guide helps you. The location is so nice, you hardly believe you’re still in Tokyo it was so peaceful. I highly recommend spending an afternoon here.
We took this time travel taxi from Tokyo station to Ueno station and it was so much fun, very informative and allowed us to learn about the Edo period in Japan and the taxi itself was very comfortable and smooth.
All in all, it was a great experience :) What I especially loved was that you were "accompanied" by several characters during the ride.
In addition, the taxi was extremely comfortable, the music was very entertaining, and even though I’ve been living in Tokyo for a few years now, I learned something new.
This was my second time here with my son and my friend from Japan joined for her first time and we all loved it. We had an English speaking instructor who was very helpful and showed us step-by-step what we needed to do to make our design how we wanted it. We practiced on a separate glass and that was so helpful to improve our technique. The instructor gave us additional tips along the way. It's so nice to take home such a unique product from our time spent in Japan.
Be sure to bring reading glasses so you can see well.
We had such a fun time in Time Trip Taxi! The graphics were adorable and engaging. The information was enlightening and informative. The taxi itself was so spacious! I would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to add something special to their trip' great for family and friend trips!
I rode Time Trip Taxi yesterday and it was so much fun. I gained a lot of knowledge about Japanese history, it is very educative, useful, and efficient (learning while commuting). The concepts, AR, animations are very creative and engaging. The car is very clean and spacious.
I would recommend it to anyone and would love to ride it again to another routes. 🫶🏻
Lovely this taxi ,Is exactly for VIP ❤️

My recommendation 🥰 🚕
My recommendation ♥️🙋♀️
It was amazing to learn more about Edo period while going from Tokyo Station to Asakusa! It was a great way to spend a meaningful time, otherwise I would have wasted it on the train.
Thank you! Definitely I recommend it 😊
We enjoyed every minute of this workshop! The teacher was very informative and gave everyone personal attention, making suggestions and only too happy for us to continue practicing if we weren't confident of going onto our personal glass. At the end, she glamour shot our glasses, showing them off beautifully. We will definitely be back to try a harder design. Highly recommended!
The experience was fabulous - you will enjoy it immensely!
Yoshie-san is talented and impressive as an artist, and manages to make something she’s dedicated so much time to accessible to even first-timers!
The studio is the one with sliding glass doors, just left of a very blue shop with silver shutters.
Really a enjoying tour and experience. I learned a lot about ANA flight and crew
Everyone was so professional and kind. I learned a lot about the preparation the pilots and flight attendants go through in order to qualify to work for all Nippon airways. The only thing I can add is that some people went on the hanger tour also and that sounds like a lot of fun.
Make your reservations early because the spots fill fast!
A great opportunity to learn more about airlines and the aviation industry. The staff was very friendly and provided an excellent introduction, making it an enjoyable experience.
We had such a great time creating our little cupcake and fruit tart! The instructor was so kind and spoke very good English, while simultaneously explaining to another group of visitors in Japanese. It was also a nice change of pace from running around Tokyo to sit and do a craft. We had a hard time choosing additional souvenirs (a magnet and keychain) from their wide selection, and it felt nice to buy from a local business versus the mass produced ones you’ll see in tourist shops. We’d love to come back and do a larger craft next time we’re in town!
We went as two adults, but would be a great activity for children as well!
We had a fantastic time touring the ANA base and gaining insight into the airline’s operations. As a longtime ANA fan, it was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend the tour. The Taiwanese ANA staff were outstanding—welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly hospitable.
I would like the more time for the tour!
The staff are good for asking professional questions.
In short, a good tour experience.

The enthusiastic Chinese guide gave a detailed introduction to ANA. It's such a great luck to hear about ANA in my native language and understand it better. I hope more Chinese courses can be offered, like for pilots or ground staff, so people can learn more about the airline industry.
Don't hesitate—subscribe to ANA's guides in other languages now, you won't regret it.
I’m very happy that having Chinese tour guide. But I hope that ANA Blue Hangar would have Chinese tour guide
The event process is smooth and the explanation is complete. It is highly recommended to join the tour⭐
We had such a wonderful time learning kintsugi! The detail and time this lovely couple takes to teach you the craft is so personal. I will forever treasure the experience.
Our experience of the Mt. Fuji tour exceeded our expectations. At the 5th Station all was clear sky and sun for the summit and a spectacular sea of clouds below; quite stunning! Our family group of five enjoyed the schedule's pace, the various stops neither too long nor too short. The lunch, very good. The motor coach, comfortable. The most outstanding part of the tour was our guide who provided helpful information, often with humor; thank you, Haruko san!
Make sure to bring a warm jacket for the 5th Station.
This was a fantastic workshop! The instructor gave great explanations and instructions and speaks English. Very friendly and helpful.
My daughter and I did this as a mummy daughter experience and we loved it!
The tour was an amazing experience! It gave me a deeper understanding of ANA and showed how much effort and professionalism goes into training their staff. As a passenger, it made me feel even more confident and safe flying with ANA.
Our guide, Ms. Lin, was very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Her explanations were clear and engaging, making the tour even more enjoyable.
Highly recommended for aviation fans and ANA passengers!
It would be to include the full name on the boarding pass souvenir for a more personalized touch.
My kids and I had a wonderful time there. They were all awesome and luckily for us they spoke some English.
We recommend this place to anyone visiting Tokyo.
This tour is recommendable. They provide a lunch included in the package tour and all of us love the food. Thdtouf guidd is nice and friendly. They also gave us souvenir ftom Mt. Fuji. Definitely we will book again.
