Somei Yoshino trees beautifully color the Imperial Palace moat in soft pink. Around 260 cherry trees, including Benishidarezakura, Yamazakura, and Oshima Zakura, bloom along the street.
Yasukuni Shrine is home to the cherry blossom sample tree designated by the Japan Meteorological Agency and has long been known as a famous cherry blossom spot. Around 500 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino and Yamazakura, bloom beautifully, attracting many visitors each year.
One of Tokyo's largest and most famous cherry blossom spots! Ueno Hill has been renowned for its cherry blossoms since the Edo period and is even mentioned in traditional rakugo stories. Around 800 cherry trees bloom magnificently, especially along the central path in the park.
A Top 100 Cherry Blossom Site, the Sumida River features 1 km of trees. Planted in the Edo period by Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune, it now has 330 trees on the Sumida side and 600 on the Taito side.
