今回、このルアウ＆フラ・ハワイアンショーに参加させて頂きとても思い出になる一日でした。タイトルにある様にハプニングというのは、ツアー参加のためにホテルまでバスで迎えに来て貰えるのですが、なんと私達は明日のツアーの集まる所と全く勘違いをしていて私達は4時にｵﾊﾅﾜｲｲｷｷｳｴｽﾄなのにﾊｲｱｯﾄﾘｰｼﾞｪﾝｼｰの集まり場に来てしまっていて！まぁそこに4時前にそのツアーのバスは来ていた為、何も気にせずに並んでたのですがガイドさんが何かおかしい様子。そこで私達も集まる所を間違ったと気づき急いでオハナへ！が我々の半分は走り、半分は少し出遅れ！所がそのバスはそのツアーのバスだった様で…。出遅れﾁｰﾑはバスに乗れ、半分は…。
とか何とかでなんだカンダでバスに乗れ一躍バスの中では有名人。そう、なんとこのツアーはほとんどが外人。ガイドも日本語通じないのでこんな事に。が、やはり海外に来たからには日本人とはなるべく離れたい。皆フレンドリーで片言英語でも十分！また内容も夕食＆ショーの前のｱﾄﾗｸｼｮﾝがまたいい。カヌーに乗ったり頭のレイやプレス、色々遊んでくれました。あっという間に時間がたちショーの時間！
これまた迫力ありあり。私たちは結構ハワイのﾘﾋﾟｰﾀｰですが（7.8回）行ってますが。なかなか良いツアーで内容濃いし外国またハワイを堪能でき、すごく良いツアーだと思います。帰りも最後まで写真の対応をしてくれたり。だからこそ外国の方々も集まるのだろう。また参加したいです。

4時30分前に到着しました。スタッフは私たちが早すぎるとかなり失礼でした。
また、すべてが引き延ばされていて、時間がかかりすぎました。エンターテイメントは孫娘が楽しむには遅すぎて、彼女は寝てしまいました。

We enjoyed every minute of our visit there. Would make sure you look at the ocean and cove when you get there. We were having so much fun, didn't look, and couldn't see after dark. ハワイに旅行に来たなら、一度は体験するといいと思います。ウォータースポーツや買い物は他の場所でもできますが、こういうショーはハワイ独特のものなので。言葉の問題だけでなく、すべての手続きやしきりがアメリカ人向けにできていましたが、楽しめました。お料理もショーも満足しました。価格を上げてもいいから、レイや写真はその場でお金を出して買うのでなく、参加費に含まれているとよかったです。プレゼントされる気分を味わいたかったので。

This was the first Luau we had ever gone to and it exceded our expectations. The setting was amazing. It was truly a paradise. There were so many activities to participate in, the shows were beautifully performed, and all of the staff were so pleasant and helpful and the food was delicious. We have recommended it to everyone. It is an experience you don't want to miss. When we come back to Oahu, I know that the Paradise Cove Luau is one of the first things we will sign up for.

宿泊ホテルでの開催で便利でしたのでふんぱつ
天候が不安でしたが入場（入場すると雨でも返金しないそうです）席は自由ですが中央席は予約席で埋まっています（最後まで予約札が有るが多くは埋まらなかった）客はほとんど外人ですが違和感が有りません、入場すると各自飲み物をカウンターの酒ビン、ボール内より注いで飲み放題（写真のようなサンプルカクテルは無い）食事前のセレモニーカルーアピック(豚の蒸し焼き）を皆で輪になり見学、食事をビユッフェスタイルで席ごとに開始、料理はスムースに取れた料理内容の説明書は無く内容的にはローカル色がありおいしかった、
たいまつ点火でショーの開始、ダンスはハワイアン、タヒチアンなど客の参加ショーもふんだんに取り入れ特に進行役（日本人には無い感覚）がショーの盛り上げがうまく英語は分からないが面白いショーでした。

We highly recommend this luau - the whole family from age 7 to age 75 enjoyed it. The food was awesome, the gardens were beautiful and the dancing was amazing. I love that this is a family run business, and you can tell that they all really invest their time and care into every detail. Even grandpa Smith was out in the food line making sure the buffet was tidy and fresh. I was really impressed by the quality of the dancers! Some might say, though, that this is a bit on the "schmaltzy" side - it might not have the cosmopolitan feel of some of the other luaus, I certainly wouldn't say it was a romantic or upscale sort of thing - but I liked the old-time feel of it. Also, don't rush to get there, we arrived at the very beginning and took the tram ride through the gardens - then waited about an hour for the entertainment and refreshments to start.

Best meal we had on the island, & the entertainment was really well done. This was our first trip to the Big Island for our 20th anniversary, so we were trying to pack in a wide variety of activities. A Luau was almost a must on the list of things to do. The Smith's Luau is the best on Kauai. They have lovely grounds to tour, the emu ceremony is great. We have been to this before and I would recommend it to everyone. The tour up the river to the Fern Grotto was great. The people running these tours are well versed in the history and knowledge they share with guests. They make everyone feel special!

I've lived in Hawaii and returned for many occasions, and Smith's Luau is absolutely the BEST Luau on any island at any price! The setting is absolutely gorgeous, the staff was very friendly and outgoing, the food was absolutely the best and there was plenty of it! Open mai-tai bar was a great value, dinner entertainment was fun but not overwhelming and the show afterward was a great Luau value. The thing that impressed me the most was Mr Smith, the owner, was available, visible and active in every part of the evening, from un-earthing the pig to singing and entertaining at dinner. I would HIGHLY recommend this event for anyone who visits Kauai - you WON'T be disappointed!

What a great time! We went with a group of 6 for my birthday and had an amazing time. We splurged for the delux, front row seating, and were placed right next to the stage, with lei greeting, drink tickets, great table service and perfect views.
We took part in the huki lau, the games, the imu ceremony, got our pictures taken with the royalty, my husband even got me on stage to hula! The food was amazing and the show was really great.
This was the 2nd visit for my husband and I, the first for our friends and everyone agreed it was totally worth it, a great time, and we will certainly come back again and again!

宿泊ホテルでの開催でしたので、集合も、終わってから部屋へ戻るのもとても便利でした。
食事の前にあちこちで参加型のイベント（葉っぱで魚を作ったり、ココナツの実を割るのを見たり）があり楽しい。
フラや、タヒチアンダンスやファイアーダンス等等、色々な種類のダンスも楽しめ、とてもよかったです。
食事は…ブッフェですが最初だけテーブルごとに取りに行くので、多人数でも混乱なく進みました。
家族みんな満足してよかったです。

Transportation was convenient and our guide Trina made the trip entertaining. At the luau, they were very organized in dividing the guests into their seating areas. The crafts during free time and the staff assisting were excellent, though an hour wasn't enough time to get to all of the crafts. Dinner was very tasty, especially the kalua pork. As a previous reviewer has mentioned on this site, the drink coupons are valid only for certain drinks, but premium drinks can be purchased for an additional $3-7, depending on the drink and size. Please note it is a cash only bar. The bar was not well staffed, but the tour guides would fetch drinks for the guests, so at least we didn't have to stand in long lines. The bartenders were free with the quantities of alcohol going into the drinks. The dancing show was good, but I have seen better, particularly at the Polynesian Cultural Center. However, the PCC does not serve alcohol or caffeine. Also, this was the only time during our week stay on Oa

Food was very good and it was helpful that they explained all the items on the buffet for those not familiar with Luau fare. The show was very well done and we had fun doing the activities at the beginning. Only downside is they do all the activities at the same time (hula lesson, palm weaving, etc.) so you can only do one. Also, if you're expecting a flower lei be prepared to pay extra for it or bring your own. We got ours at Costco, they sell a 2 pack of fresh orchid leis for only $6.50. Overall, a very fun evening right on the beach.
