As most things in Tokyo and Japan in general, it was on time, clean and quite organised. Pick up point was not hard to find even coming from Ikebukuro. English definitely available as one of the languages on the head set. The stops and collection points were all properly, clearly identified. Really, it is the best way to see Tokyo! nothing beats it.

私の妻と私は、クゲ工芸の初心者セッションをとても楽しみました。ヨシイチロウさんとヨシコさんは素晴らしいホストで、プロセスを説明してくれ、私たちが修理を完璧にするために必要なだけ時間をかけさせてくれました。最初は、小さな欠けではなく、完全に壊れた物を修理したいと思っていましたが、実際にカップの2つの欠けを修理するのに約2時間かかったので、初心者には大きな修理は過剰な期待になるでしょう。このセッションは、金継ぎに興味のある方にお勧めしますし、ボーナスのケーキとお茶も楽しんでください！

My wife and I loved our beginner session with Kuge crafts. Yoshiichiro-san and Yoshiko-san were wonderful hosts and took the time to explain the process and let us take as long as we needed to perfect our repairs. Initially, I wanted to repair a fully shattered object rather than a small chip but actually repairing the two chips on my cup still took around 2 hours to do well, so any larger repairs would be over ambitious for a complete beginner. I would recommend this session to anyone interested in Kintsugi and enjoy your bonus cake and tea as well!

We had a great time with the owners. Their English was limited but it didn't bother us. They have English instructions to follow if you are nervous about the language barrier. I wanted something as a souvenir from Japan to take back home with us and this Kintsugi class was perfect!

ワークショップは興味深かったですが、写真や説明とは本当に異なっていて、金継ぎの入門に過ぎませんでした。先生方はとても親切で助けてくれたので、良い体験でした。

The workshop was interesting but it was really different from the photos and description, it was only a introduction to kintsugi. It was a good experience for the sensei that were very helpful and kind.

金継ぎ技法を学び、試すための楽しい入門ワークショップでした。スタジオのスペースは小さかったですが、インストラクターとその奥様はとても親切で温かく迎えてくれました。壊れた陶器の一部を選び、その技法を試してみて、特別なお土産として持ち帰ることができました。

A delightful introductory workshop to learn and try out the kintsugi technique. The studio space was small but the instructor and his wife were very kind and welcoming. We were able to choose a piece of broken pottery, try the technique on it and then take it home as a very special souvenir.

A great and amazing experience of viewing the Tokyo of Japan with full horizon.

One can take a break in between stops to explore the Skytree, Tokyo tower, Shinjuk and other areas.

It was a good way seeing Tokyo. Enjoyed the hop on hop off experience in the beautiful city of Tokyo.

バスはすべて長い待ち時間があり、次の乗車まで60分から90分かかります。スケジュール通りに運行しているのは良いですが、乗車時間があまりにも短いです。音声ガイドは、モニュメントなどの説明の途中で途切れてしまい、最後まで完結しません。また、音声が見えているものや通り過ぎるものと同期しないことが多く、イライラしました。

2つのルートはほぼ同じで、1つは六本木に4つの追加停留所がありますが、実際には3つではなく2.25のラインに対して料金を支払っていることになります。

座席は上のデッキにしかないため、暑すぎる日や大雨の日には運が悪いです。私は世界中でホップオン・ホップオフバスを利用していますが、これは最悪の部類に入ります。お勧めできません。

The buses all have a long waiting time, between 60 to 90 minutes for the next ride. They are on schedule which is nice but the ride also goes too fast. The audio will cut off halfway while explaining a monument or something of the sort and then will never complete. The audio also usually didn't sync with what was being seen/ passed by which was annoying.

Two of the routes are almost exactly the same, one with an additional four stops in Roppongi but you're really paying for two and a quarter lines, not three.

Seating is only on the top deck so if it's boiling hot or pouring rain, you're out of luck. I have taken hop on, hop off buses around the world but this has to be one of the worst. Would NOT recommend.

This was a great lesson. I learnt a lot and had a fun time. The homemade cake was amazing!

ワークショップにはかなり遅れてしまったのですが（電車のトラブル）、インストラクターの方々はとても優しく、レッスンが始まる前に一息つく時間を与えてくれました！暑い夏の日に提供されたお菓子とコーヒーはとても美味しかったですし、レッスン自体も丁寧に教えていただき、忍耐強く、細かいところまで気を配ってくださいました。ぜひまた別の体験やワークショップに参加したいと思いますし、来年も戻ってこれることを願っています！

Even though I was quite late for my workshop (train faults), the instructors were really sweet about it, letting me catch my breath before the lesson started! The sweets and coffee that were served were very nice for a hot summer's day, and the lesson itself was well taught, patiently and with a lot of attention. I would totally come back for another experience/workshop, and I hope to be back next year again!

We had a reaaly good time with Yoshiko and Yoshiichiro!
The description of the route was very helpful, we had no problems in finding the studio.
While we attended, two older Japanese people did some gold repair as well. We had a lot of fun together!
The hosts gave us sweets and tea, and we talked a lot about our Japan travel.
We worked on chipped tea cups. The people who do a regular course a few times a months had more complicated things like broken plates.
The hosts also told us where to buy the materials in Japan.
It is a very good experience to get a glimpse in the possibilities of this technique.
But bear in mind that you wont be able to do a big piece in the given time.

6月の東京は主に曇りです。バスに乗ったときは晴れていて暑かったです。全体的な体験は素晴らしかったですが、日差しが強すぎたのが残念でした。日焼け止めを塗ることと、日差しから身を守るものを持ってくることを忘れないでください。

It's mostly cloudy in Tokyo during the month of June. It was sunny and hot when we went on the bus ride. The whole experience was great except the sun shining excessively on us. Don't forget to apply sunscreen and bring something to keep you covered from the sun.

このクラスをとても楽しみにしていて、期待を裏切りませんでした！クゲさんご夫妻はとても親切で忍耐強いです。明治時代のティーカップを修復し、美しく仕上がりました。私がいる間、長年の生徒二人が自分の作品に取り組んでいたので、より複雑な修理がどのようなものかを見ることができました。オーストラリアに持ち帰るための材料もすべて購入しました！

I was so looking forward to this class & it did not disappoint! Mr. & Mrs. Kuge are so friendly & patient. I restored a Meiji era tea cup & it is beautiful. Two long time students were working on their pieces while I was there, so I could see what more complicated repairs look like. I bought all the materials to take home to do in my own in Australia!

Great way to see Tokyo if you have limited time in the City. You can quickly see the must see places and return on your own via train. Price is reasonable. Audio tour guide only helped a little. Good bargain tour if you are in a hurry!

私の旅行の中で多くのツアーに参加しましたが、これは最悪の体験でした。ドライバーがひどかったです！バスは揺れ、急ブレーキをかけ、想像できる最も荒い乗り心地のすべての動作をしました。背中がとても痛くなったので、ツアーの途中で実際に離れなければなりませんでした。ツアーの頻度が少なかったため、青いルートしかできず、残念でした。東京タワーだけが見え、あとはこの巨大な都市をただ走り回るだけでした。非常に失望しました。私たちが絶対に楽しんだ日本旅行の中で唯一の悪い印象でした。

I have been on many throughout my travels and this would be the worst experience I have had. The driver was terrible! The bus lurched, braked suddenly and all the other actions you can imagine from the roughest ride ever. I had to actually leave the tour about half way through as my back was hurting so much. Due to the infrequency of the tours we were only able to do the blue route which was a shame as all you really saw was the Tokyo tower and the rest was just driving around this huge City.
Very disappointing. It was the only black mark of all our travels in Japan which we absolutely loved.

This is a very nice class and a very pleasant experience. Our whole family, including my 84-year old Japanese mother-in-law and our two adult children took the class together while on vacation in the Tokyo area. All the materials are provided and the introductory project of repairing chipped or cracked china cups and bowls (also provided) is easily accomplished during the time available. The Kuge family were very patient teachers and provided delicious homemade refreshments. They also packed the completed projects securely for the trip back home. We highly recommend the class if you are interested in this ceramic repair technique.

クゲさんご夫妻は親切で、忍耐強く、面白い方々です。質問をすると、とても直感的に答えてくれます。クゲさんの奥様は、多くの日本人が金継ぎについて知らないと言っていました。私たちが到着したとき、他に3人の生徒がいました。2人は他のプロジェクトで通っていて、1人は高価なマグカップが壊れて修理を希望しており、金継ぎについて知って初めて来たそうです。2人の生徒は英語を話せて、説明や通訳を手伝ってくれましたが、彼らがいなくてもクゲさんご夫妻は最終的に理解し、説明できたでしょう。プロセスは会話をしながら、作業をし、ケーキとコーヒーを楽しみ、笑い合う中で2〜3時間かかります。スタジオは小さいですが、とても快適です。彼らの作品の多くの例があり、インスピレーションを与えてくれます。すべての必要なものと、金を修理して塗るプロセスを教えてくれます。私の作品には非常に小さな欠けが2つと小さなひびがありましたが、息子の作品には3つの欠けと大きなひびがありました。もし何を探すべきか知っていたら、デザインではなく、もっと損傷のあるものを選んでいたでしょう。体験の後、ホテルに戻る途中で東急ハンズに寄り、家で使うための顔料と漆を購入しました。キットもありますが、キットには飛行機に持ち込むには検査に通らない可燃性の液体が含まれています。2種類の漆があり、そのうちの1つは可燃性ではありません。

この体験を強くお勧めします。特に手を使うことが好きな方、芸術的なセンスがある方、伝統的で消えつつあるアートフォームを学びたい方には最適です。

The Kuge's are a kind, patient and funny couple. They are very intuitive when you ask them questions. Mrs Kuge says many Japanese do not even know about kintsugi. There were 3 other students when we arrived. Two had been coming doing other projects and one had an expensive mug that broke. She wanted it repaired and found out about kintsugi and was there for the first time. Two of the students spoke English and was able to help explain and interpret but without them the Kuges would have eventually been able to understand and explain. The process takes 2-3 hours to complete while we converse, work, have cake and coffee and laugh. The studio is tiny but very comfortable. There are many examples of their work to inspire you and they are so beautiful. They show you everything you need and the process to repair and paint the gold on. My piece had 2 very small chips and a small crack but my son has 3 chips and a significant crack. If I had known what I should be looking for I would have chosen something with more damage rather than by the design on the piece. After the experience, on our way back to the hotel we stopped at Tokyu Hands and purchased the pigments and lacquer to do it at home. They have kits there but the kits include flammable liquids that would not pass inspection to bring on a plane. They have two types of lacquer and one of them is not flammable.

I highly recommend this experience, especially if you enjoy working such your hands, if you have any artistic bent or want to learn a traditional but disappearing art form.

初めてのホップオン・ホップオフ観光ツアーに参加しました。海外旅行に行くとき、こういった「観光客向け」のアクティビティを少しバカにしていたのですが、意外にもツアーを楽しむことができました！ガイドが止まらずに話すのが面白かったです。バスは時間通りに出発したので、無駄な時間はありませんでした。高速道路を走っているとき、冷たい空気で顔がしびれるのが好きでした（笑）。また、美しい街の明かりの景色はいつ見ても飽きません。そして、この観光ツアーを通じて新たな魅力に気づきました。それは建物です！東京には今まで見た中で最も興味深い建物の一つがあります。

It was my first time to participate on a hop-on hop-off sightseeing tour. I used to kind of make fun of these "touristy" activities whenever I go on an out of the country trip. Surprisingly, I had fun with the tour! It was amusing to hear the guide talk non-stop. The bus left promptly so no time was wasted. As we drove along the expressway, I loved how the chilly air made my face numb (LOL). Also, pretty citylights view never gets old with me. Oh, and this sightseeing tour made me realize my new fascination -- buildings! Tokyo has one of the most interesting buildings I've seen so far.

確かに、初めてこの街を訪れる人にとって素晴らしい体験でした！バスの上からの景色は、タクシーや車の中から見るものとは比べ物になりません。しかし、オープンなので冷たい風が少し肌寒く感じました。毛布などを提供してくれると嬉しいですね :) 英語のオーディオガイドはまあまあでしたが、各地の歴史やストーリーにはあまり興味がなく、すべての写真を撮ることに専念しました！インスタ映えしますね！ :)

Indeed, the experience was great for a person new to the city! The view from the top of the bus is incomparable to that from inside a taxi or car. But, since it's open, the cold wind somewhat gave us chills, perhaps it's nice if they could provide blankets or whatever :) English audio guide is ok, I guess... not really into the history and stories of each place, just took pictures of everything! Instagram worthy! :)

私が初めて参加したツアーでした...本当に！特に初めての旅行者である私にとって、街を見て回る素晴らしい方法です。私たちはお台場コースを選び、レインボーブリッジを通りました。

また、東京タワーの写真も撮りました。276（オーディオガイドによると！ハハ！）の照明でとてもきれいでした。信号が良い場所で赤になり、十分な時間があったので、オープントップバスから素敵なインスタグラムの写真を撮ることができました。

オーディオガイドはとても役に立ち、元気なガイドさんもとても親切でした！このツアーをぜひお勧めします。機会があれば、また参加したいです！

It was the first ever tour I went on... ever! It's a great way to see the city especially for me, a first time traveler. We took the Odaiba Course and we passed through the Rainbow Bridge.

We also took photos of the Tokyo Tower while it was illuminated by 276 (as per the audio guide! Ha!). We were very fortunate that the stop light turned red at a good spot and for an enough amount of time to take nice IG photos from the open-top bus.

The Audio Guide was very helpful and the perky guide was very nice! I would totally recommend taking this tour. I will definitely do it again when I get the chance!

Nice intro to the city, all for a very reasonable price. Seats were comfy and the sights were a delight. Barely used the audio guide, though.

このツアーは初めて東京を訪れる方にぴったりです。バスは東京タワー、レインボーブリッジ、お台場海浜公園、東京版の自由の女神像、歌舞伎座などの必見スポットを巡りました（残りは思い出せません！）。音声ガイドが解説を翻訳してくれて便利でしたが、しばらくすると外して自分でなんとか理解しました。5月の夜のツアーに参加しましたが、まだかなり肌寒かったので、ジャケットを持参することをお勧めします！

The tour is perfect for first-time Tokyo visitors. The bus took us around the must-see sights such as the Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba Marine Park, Tokyo's version of the Statue of Liberty and the Kabuki-za Theater (I can't remember the rest!). There was an audio guide that translated the commentaries, which was helpful, but after a while I took it off and just kind of figured it out. We went for the night tour in May and it was still pretty chilly, so be sure to bring a jacket!

Good price/quality, although the audio can be a bit funny at times (some of the descriptions had us in fits, because they were unintentionally hilarious). Tokyo Tower's lights came on right as we passed by, which was really pretty

It was nice seeing some of the highlights of Tokyo in a quick time. The audio guide had pretty strange facts that I didn't know about Tokyo too. But after a while, I just decided to ignore the audio and just enjoy the view.
Even in May after the sun went down it was rather cold!
